Great home town grocer with lots of local and cultural items not found other places. In-house butcher and great cuts of meat at reasonable prices. Nice produce section with locally grown produce available. Could use a little more variety a far as bagged salad, but this is my go-to store most of the time.

I come to this store for the bulk cheese sale. My family loves cheese and this is the only place I can find that does the cheese sale so I can get my freezer stocked. I wish they did it a little more often

Good place to buy snack, some meat and the blocks of cheese are the best!! Be careful with some meats and check the date on the bread. Other than that I really like thriftees.

Order at the deli only if hygiene isnt an issue. There are a few helpful employees, but you have to go through the others to find them.

I went with a friend. The store was well organized but the prices seemed a bit high on various items. (At least the items I bought) Their meat offerings seemed to be very good quality.

They have really tried to clean this place up ... Ive not gone in for a few years it looks much nicer

Great place to shop. Especially if youre looking for something different or running a restaurant. The Deli fried foods are fabulous, crispy, hot, fresh. Thoroughly enjoyed the catfish and red jalapeno peppers.

Unlike the local Walmart it wasnt crowded. Prices are good, the checkout was quick and friendly. If you dont want to wade through a bunch of people and want a uncrowded check out go to thriftee in Safford.

Cheapest place to get groceries in town. Only wish they had more variety, and for it to be renovated so it doesnt look so outdated.

I love Thriftee. Friendly helpful employees, clean well stocked with competitive prices.

I stop here when in town for specific products. A half horn of cheese, prepared fried catfish ( best anywhere in the valley) and other supplies as needed. The cheese and fish every visit to the area.so good!

Thriftee Grocery is locally owned and operated. Nice clean store with friendly and helpful employees. Thriftee has a wonderful selection of produce and other groceries. They offer a Pharmacy, Deli and Bakery. A Customer Service Window located inside the entrance allows customers to cash checks, purchase tobacco products and has Western Union available. There is also a section called Jo Jos Corner where they sell items for the home, similar to a floral and decoration shop. Shopping here is usually a little faster than at other stores. Nice place to shop.

Good variety of food & some are unique,like cherries in small glass jar.

This store has some of the best meat in town, and reasonably priced. They are the only store that sells Ellis brand refried beans, which I like the best and I highly recommend you try the deli! The cold salads and deserts are all great and their hot food is just as good,and again reasonably priced.

Thrifted food and drug was clean and well stocked. Prices were good and the meat and vegetables were competitively priced. It wasnt crowded like Walmart which made my shopping experience pleasant and relaxing.

In the 50 years I have shopped at this store. I have hardly ever had a mistake on my receipt. I think maybe 3 times is all. They are always spot on with there priceing. Great friendly service. Off you dont see it ask someone they will direct you.need something special ask at the office they are very accommodating. Love the store love the folks that run it.

Its a great locally owned grocery store. Prices are reasonable and they have great sales. On the down side, their produce is over priced and not quite the quality you get from the major chains.

Absolutely love this store for all goods. They even carry Costco goods for when a person cant get to Tucson. Pharmacy staff gets A+++ rating for expediency, care, and friendliness.

I love shopping here or just coming to get lunch at the deli which is always great, blows Wal-Mart away in service alone.

Staff are friendly and courteous. The Grocery store merchandise prices are quite reasonable. But unfortunately, the quality of the produce and their meats leave something to be desired.

Honestly, I go to this place for the friendly feel of it. Also, I love their bulk food items (i.e. hello, huge can of peaches!), and we all love the ice cream at the deli. :)

Close by shopping, great meat and cheese dept. Good produce, and a gift corner with house plants and flowers available. Also fudge made in house, and prickly pear jelly too.

They have good prices and good stuff. Here, you can find dry ice, and they have a baker who can do any cake/wedding cake you want and they have a catalog of different decorations you can do for your cake. Great service.

Its the perfect like super store/market.

Probably one of the oldest grocery stores in Safford, however still one of the best. The big chain stores all huddle together across town a few miles on the west side of Safford. Thriftee is centrally located almost downtown and has a massive parking lot for easy in and out.They constantly update the store so that it is pleasing to the shopper. If you have any questions, the super helpful staff is always ready to serve. Thriftee has an excellent meat department, too.

Honestly have gone to thriftee pharmacy my WHOLE life. Never had a problem, always loved them. But just recently the pharmacist filled my prescription with the wrong pills, I took them back and he claimed that I was “just trying to play with them” and that he “makes no mistakes and it’s impossible that he filled the prescription wrong”. Whenever my doctor called them to resolve the problem, they said “have her come in with the prescription and if we filled it wrong we will fix it”. So I go down to thriftees and this guy really tells me the same exact thing, that I’m just playin with them and trying to get pills and that I filled the bottle with the wrong pills. Mind you I had only been taking these for a month and went to get refills, which he filled incorrectly. I don’t see how I could have possibly filled the bottle with those pills. Anyways, needless to say I will NEVER be going back to that awful pharmacy.

Everytime you call the number and hit 6 for Customer service it rings and rings then pick-up and hang up. This is not just today it has been everyday you try to call. The store itself is good.

Everything is a pretty good value here but I have to warn you about the produce... Its sometimes rotten lol! There was one time we bought a bell pepper there and it was growing another bell pepper inside of it lol!

We are new to the Safford area. We visited Thriftee yesterday and were sooooo happy with our experience. The store was clean/organized and the employees were very friendly and helpful. I was so happy that the store and employees were hypoallergenic. I didnt have to hold my breath or leave the checkout due to employee over-perfuming.
