Caution everybody I went and bought a party planner sushi pack and found a fingernail in my meal instantly everything went out & up. can’t do anything because I did not grip the receipt but I am writing this to warn the public of this stuff. Not getting any from there again. Save your receipts out the self check line I regret not doing that. Time and date was 10/28/21 7:15pm
If you are handicap or have mobility issues and need a scooter DO NOT shop here. They are never charged or plugged in to charge. I used to love shopping at this store and would go out of my way to drive an half an hour to shop here even though there are 2 stores far closer to me. There are also issues with management and how theyre running things.
The employees here must have a huge cache of patience because this place caters to Karen’s and psychos alike (often one in the same). Highly recommend shopping elsewhere with a less trashy clientele.
The staff is great in my experience. Renee, a cashier, was super kind to me and kind employees honestly are a big reason I go back to stores. Very large selection of dry goods and snack foods. They have some items I am unable to find in other grocery stores like specific Rockstar drink and Ramen Noodle flavors.
My LAST.... visit at kroger Saginaw Township Store... Greeted by litter and trash at the entrance.. No baskets or carts.. Baskets stacked up and falling over at checkout... Store is filthy.... Employees withdrawn.. Not engaged and stressed out... Come on management.. Get it together..
While I love Krogers as a store, this particular one on State could be so much better. Whoever owns it, you shouldve never closed the locations on Davenport and Gratiot Road! At least it would give customers more options if one store doesnt have something rather than being greedy by having State be the only designated Krogers. On top of it, the way folks treat the parking lot like a garbage can is so disgusting.
First, I’ll start with Jennifer, behind the deli, who was extremely rude and disrespectful. When it was my turn in line, she did not greet me nor did she even provide simple customer service. I greeted her twice, thinking she must not have heard me the first time, but still no response and no eye contact. So I just started ordering. When I placed my order, she continued to stare as if she had no idea what I was asking for. Then made it seem as if it were an inconvenience for a simple pan of chicken. She rolled her eyes and slammed her pen down to go check to see if my order can be made within the time frame I requested. (3 hours). I wonder if she understands that regardless of a mask, body gestures can still be seen. The only reason I waited until this soon to order before I needed it, is because several times in the past I have placed orders a day or more in advanced and the deli just happened to have “forgot or lost” my order. I also called the deli prior to going up there today and I magically got hung up on. So, Jennifer was the last resort and not a very customer friendly one at that.Aside from Jennifer’s ignorance, I also took issue with the cashier attendant working the self check out lanes, who felt she needed to double check everything in my bag to ensure I didn’t have anything in there that wasn’t supposed to be. I had 5 items, the last item being a bag of grapes. Typically I am able to scan the bar code on the bottom of the bag and go about my business. For some reason when I scanned the grapes this time, the machine kept telling me to set the item aside. When I put the item in the bag, the machine told me the grapes weren’t scanned. So I repeated the process 4 times. Scan, bag, scan, bag, scan, bag, scan bag... the grapes weren’t scanning. When I told her it was specifically the grapes giving me trouble, she searched through all of my bags and told me that something was in the bags that shouldn’t be in there.... you’d think maybe it’s the grapes I have in front of her that TOLD her about prior to searching my bags. From a person who has worked in customer service for years, one of the most important things is greeting your customers and being helpful, and not accusatory, at the very least, in getting your customer’s needs met, regardless of how busy, overwhelmed or tired you are.Apparently that is not the standard here.
Wow is all I can say.. having been used to shopping at Kroger in bay city. Zero class inside this store.Just today at the Kroger fuel station I went searching for paper towels and hand sanitizer at nearly every island and found none! Empty and or broken dispensers.I surely wish this store could enforce a dress policy for its customers.. at the door! Watching customers sagging pants in store gets annoying. It’s annoying and disgusting. I think I will drive back to bay city or Essexville Kroger now if I even continue to do visit with this organization.
Prescriptions are never ready, lines are very long both inside and drive thru. Even after you receive the pre recorded phone call saying your prescription is ready. Im not going to use your pharmacy anymore.
THE KROGER SAGINAW STORE IN GEEN ACRES PLAZA HAS ISSUES. CALLED TO SEE IF MY SCRIPTS WERE READY. THE ANSWER WAS YES. WHEN I WAITED 20 MINUTES AT THE PICK UP WINDOW I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE ONLY PARTIALLY READY. THIS HAS HAPPENEND NUMEROUS TIMES IN THE PAST . THIS IS VERY ANNOYING AND INCONVENIENT. IT LOOKS LIKE KROGER DOESNT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.
Lately Kroger refuses to bring in enough staff to have both entrances open. Lines are 30 minutes or longer because only 3-4 registers are open. Its like customer service is dead. Almost left my whole basket of food in the line. Do better, please do better!
Good selection of organic foods. There is no excuse for not opening the other entrance there are over 11 different apps that will work with existing cell phones. Apps will add up numbers from multiple entrances and exits. Other foot traffic counting systems are available as well all to give real-time foot traffic in a retail setting.
Got some shopping done.have a lot of good deals on their food
Amazing sushi selection, deli, produce, wine, alcohol, and bakery selection! Not sure who chooses the layout of each department, but they are very cramped and do not flow consistently. Most the employees are knowledgeable and courteous. The SOS and COINSTAR machine are located in a spot with heavy foot traffic, limiting privacy. This location is usually very busy, lines are long and dodging people is common.
They need to fire there top manager at this store the manager is doing a poor job at this store
Store on State..Rude and unhelpful.Manager making excuses for poor behavior due to being busy..no excuse for rude, ugly, disturbing behavior. Will report to corporate..The store on State Is trashy and dirty..
They are not cleaning carts nor have chemicals available to clean.
Went in Kroger for ground turkey meat didn’t see any out ask a meat department worker were there more in back while he was stocking other meat he looks up and says no so I then asked his manager she tells me yes come back at 2:00 I told her what he said I goes back at 2:00 still no meat out the same worker comes out flips the box of meat out then walks away very rude I’m a regular customer here at this Kroger and after this experience today I will no longer shop at this Kroger either of my family members as well I really didn’t appreciate the rudeness at all
Called to see check cashing policy and the worker clearly didnt let saying there was no limit. Very poor staff and uneducated
I have only been in the Gratiot Road store once or twice. I just picked up a few things and there was only one checkout lane open and people out to the aisle with employees roaming around but nobody on the registers ridiculous
The manager Karen has very poor customer service! Workers give the wrong information on sale items then u have the inconvenience of dealing with it later! Im guessing thats why there is always a huge line at the service desk! The wait in the checkout lines are usually at least 15 min!
NEVER stocked properly. Every time I go here they are out of the most basic items.
Again stayed in the car. The parking lot continued to stay full which means a lot of people in the store to many for me during COVID19. But kroger is getting the business.
Groceries ridiculously Overpriced and then you need a card to get a little money off . Do yourself a favor and save big money at Aldis !
I like this Kroger usually but lately its going down hill. They had baggers but now I never see any. The baggers are not all that has gone down hill. They want employees to rush around and that makes them cut corners. Like here!
Kroger has really went downhill. This Kroger is so hopelessly understaffed, it’s unreal. Their meat selection is usually decent. Lately, it has been bare. They never have enough cashiers. I think this is because they want you to self checkout. Then when you actually get a cashier, there are no people to bag your groceries. I’ve had to bag my own groceries the last 4 times that I have been here. With no thank you from the cashiers either. Their prices have gone up. But I don’t get a discount for checking myself out or bagging my own items.
Kraig at the fresh meat counter was extremely helpful. He was very knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions. The best part is that he did it with a smile! This was my first time visiting the seafood counter here. I will definitely be back and have already recommended that others try it as well. He suggested the seasoning and baking bag which I tried and my family liked very much. I also recommended this to others too. Thank you for the wonderful service!! I opted not to go to the self scan this time and was met with two more employees who had great attitudes...Karen and Larry. They were quick AND friendly. My groceries were bagged in a common sense way as well! Thank you thank you thank you!
First time in this store and probably will not return. Walked in and should have walked right back out! Dirty, dirty, dirty! The workers were careless packing my groceries and they give me an I don’t care attitude. Had good food specials but so hard to find. There is definitely a lack of caring and cleanliness. Especially during this COVID-19. Ugly place to shop for food.
Its ok
Shopping carts all have wobbly wheels and they make awful rattling noise when shopping. Trying to find a good one and the cart girl kept putting the bad ones right back in the front where I was standing testing carts getting annoyed at me telling me they put some new locking wheels on them so you cant take them too far and they all do it and just to take one already they are all the same. Bathrooms were completely dirty and none of the stall doors have hooks for your coat. Came to this location out of convenience since I had to drive into town today to return something at another store and needed fuel; but will not shop here again.
Recently remodeled this Kroger definitely feels a bit more upscale and the prices can reflect that. There is a sushi bar and whole sale nut area, plus other great features. There is a good selection of cheeses as well. I probably wouldnt get all my groceries there but its a fine place to stop if you need a few specific things.
Love their discount and prices are great have pharmacy and fresh meat
I like Kroger. They have good produce and good deals on soon to be expired meat. Always check the meat clearance, you can always freeze it! Also nice to get $ off gas once in a while.
Beautiful store after the remodel, they have just about everything you need in food. Just wish all stores would do more on making sure there parking lots and surroundings are not cultered with trash. If they kept the outside as well as the inside it would be a 10 star.
Store has everything you need. Well organized and great costumer service. Always busy and they will have more then enough registers open compared to WalMart
If you like wasting a massive amount of time pass through this joint. Best Kroger I have passed through aestheticly, !!!TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!! Waiting in u scan until my suchi was warm was the closest I have came to reliving the experience of an Afghan chow Hall.
Busy, busy takes forever to checkout, still a mess everywhere, and prices rise by the time you get to the checkout and your clipped coupons disappear when you try to use them.
This review is specifically on the pharmacy. I have never dealt with such rude/disrespectful people in my life as when I come to the pharmacy. I realize many people are not easy to work with, but because you are having a bad day does NOT mean you can lash out at a customer. The employees here need a significant training on customer service.
Upon entering the double automatic opening doors youre entering the cart area. Choose your cart and enter through the doors.Walking left towards the freezer section or turn right, straight through the fruit & vegetables area.Every fruit and cut up trays ready to eat are assembled. There are apples 1 at a time or a bag of 10. A wall of bulk candies & nuts & more. Nice to get sushi in front of the cheese cooler. Found some red wax Gouda that goes great with smoked salmon. Fresh breads at the delicatessen.Find deals on pork chops, fresh beef, and chicken with shrimp as well.Get deals on napkins and other household items as such.Kroger on State Street is where I get all my shopping done. They supply all the chocolate milk and ice cream I could ever want. Plus, a shelf of toppings, including Smuckers ™ pineapple & strawberry toppings. Before exiting, swing in towards the frozen pizza section, and get 13 French Bread Pizzas at $1 each.Theres a Pharmacy with multiple Technicians to serve you. Kroger on State is a clean environment with great people all around. Appreciate being able to complete a shopping list all at one awesome place, Kroger on State Street Saginaw, Michigan.
I am not a huge fan of how the bottle return is set up. There is not access to that from inside the store. They unfortunately are usually low in product, and this is absolutely not the place to go if youre looking for butterscotch chips. Good prices overall and very helpful associates.
Very nice and warm shopping experience they have items that other stores dont carry also using the Kroger discount card you even save more money plus you get discounts on gasoline at different gas stations. Well worth checking out, dont think you will be disappointed.
Nice staff I do must of my shopping here for grocery. Good price on pullups and love the coupons
Hands down the best shopping experience in Saginaw. Im here multiple times a week and the employees are super helpful! Remodel is looking fantastic. Keep up the good work!
A little high price on produce but their meat is usually good quality and their clerks are friendly and helpful. Very sorry to hear that they are closing their Gratiot and Center Road store. We will miss it.
Nice staff and pretty organized. Usually fresh produce! Meat selection is good
Good place to shop
I must admit it did take me a while to warm up to the store with the new renovation. Now I really love shopping here. They offer a large variety of products and some that I could only find at Whole Foods. I just want to mention that if you have the Kroger app, you can actually search for an item and it will give you the price and location.
I thought the meat selections were awesome. And I love the packages of fish you can purchase. This is a very nice store!
Living in Michigan/Saginaw Ive determined that those residing in the area are not the most ambitious or intelligent lot. Never have I been to any retail location where pushing a grocery cart back to the corral is akin to brain surgery. I simply had to stop shopping here because my vehicle was getting dinged each time by some inconsiderate mouth-breather. I see a direct correlation between Michigans fattest county (Saginaw) and the inability for Kroger shoppers to commit to even the tiniest bit of physical exercise.
I can never find the Friday downloads if i cant get there the first week. I think they should keep them in a specific place for a couple weeks at least. And also their specials or at least clearly marked.
A huge selection of products including unique and imported ones. Staff are friendly and helpful. Deals are good with the Kroger card and digital account.
Stock and store conditions are questionable right now.
Wonderful, clean and the cashiers are not slow...very friendly...they dont stand around waiting for you to bag your own groceries.
Good selection. Relatively clean.Takes forever to check out and you tend to come home with less than you put on the belt.
The Old store before remodeling was much better items easy to find, friendlier staff, parking and the list goes on. I think they bit off more than they could chew with this new store. The cart corrals are too far back in the parking lot to return the carts. The stock is not being rotated so that stock is not kept fresh (usually check the milk before buying had some spoiled milk twice now with a good date). Items are not kept stocked on shelves was not a problem before. Unsafe glass doors on coolers have seen 4 or 5 of the doors shattered since the grand reopening. The new staff is very rude. Shopped here for many years 30+ . After today will not shop here. Time to move on. I think in the end they will fail as Farmer Jacks and A&P did. Wish there were negative stars for the new Kroger on State St. Newer is not always better.
One of the worst run grocery stores I have ever been too. I consistently have to wait 20 minutes in line, including this morning when there was one lane open. Awful and expensive.
Ive never found the employees very friendly & theres Never a manager to be found even when asking for one.
I do a lot of my shopping here. With their app and you can receive coupons in the mail from them. Whether you want really good sales for a shopping list or just need a few items you will not be disappointed to stop in.
I do enjoy Kroger for its selection of items and prices however some of the people they hire are very questionable. I just waited over 5 minutes at the self-checkout just for someone to check my ID while I watched her slowly walk around and do nothing I had to ask if I could get my ID checked for her to rudely answer me and say one second.
Not enough cashiers. We were stacked 8 deep in each line and one line opened up. The employees worked incredibly hard to get us thru.
Recently renovated, they have a lot to choose from. Dry goods, large produce section, cheese counter, deli counter, sushi counter, bakery. Definitely a one stop shopping experience, pretty well priced with a Kroger Plus membership
Always enjoy shopping here. Great deals on everything. Weekly specials. I always see somebody I know.
Love this place. Always has what I need. The new layout is awesome. Wish theyd have more cashiers available during the day. It looks like a Walmart.
Nice, if you like shopping in a giant warehouse. They closed the wrong Krogers on Gratiot. That was a nice store with great service and selection.
The store layout is horable and you can never find anything and the lines are down the iles becouse they dont open enuff lanes
I love the fuel program, its a mad house on weekends. They need more handicap parking. The staff is extremely helpful.
Huge store! First time there. Great selections and produce area wonderfully stocked with good food.
I do most of my grocery shopping here and I always have a good experience. I love their deals and sales. Everyone is always pretty nice.
Since all the other Krogers in town have closed and this is the only one, basically a mega store, its insanely busy most of the time. Its been surprisingly clean each time Ive been there, but today especially, the customer service was horrendous. The workers looked stressed out and just as anxious as the masses of people there. I thought the parking lot was going to be better with the addition, but its just as difficult to get in/out of. I wish the smaller stores were still open. It makes it impossible to make a quick stop anymore.
I live right around the corner so its quick in and out and home. So much selection and I love the fuel points.
Got the click list, but when they brought it out to me over$8.00 worth of coupons werent taken off with my card, so I had to go into the store and deal with that.. waste of time and money if you still have to deal with that
Most check out lines are closed also not many baggers If i wanted to bag my own groceries I would shop at Aldi or Save a Lot
I like to shop at Kroger because it has a wide variety of brands to choose from, the Isles are wide and easy to navigate. Parking lot is big and always easy to get a parking spot.
Brought some cooked Shrimp on Tuesday and had to toss the whole pound out today. They smelled so bad and where all slimy that it just turned my stomach. Never again too much money for something I cant eat and customer service couldnt understand why I had to toss them out without contaminating everything else in my refrigerator.
Very clean and well organized. Staff are polite. Plus I love the plus card savings!
Great store. Love the meat and produce area. Very fresh and clean. Good sushi too.
This Kroger store is a popular place to buy groceries. Its been remodeled and offers shoppers an expanded selection of grocery items...
Very nice after upgrade and addition. Great quality produce and bakery
I wish they would open more lines during peak hours. Besides that I shop there for the people I take care of
Store is nice, well stocked with products.Outside in front, around enterence is a different condition. Poorly maintained and trashy. Appearance outside needs addressing!
If you want the best sushi, then check out this Krogers sushi bar. Ive never had such delicious sushi before. They also have a soup bar which I thought was cool.
Friendly employees and good sales!! They do need to work on actually having the sale items in stock. Seems like every time I go to this Kroger location 1 or more of the sale items I would like to purchase is out of stock.
Finding the food products I needed was simple and the staff was social and respective. The bagger was very social and seemed like he enjoys the tasks that are assigned to him.
Got over charged for apples even though we told cashier it was 4 pounds for 2 bucks I knew to check receipt cause she ask how many we had I said there priced by the pound so we ended up standing at service counter for 15 mins instead of her sending the bagger on a 3 min trip to check prices. Hate this store an since you cant give it a minus star Ill have to give it a 1 star rating
New store. Have to go outside to use Bottle return area. No entrance to store from bottle return, in winter this will be terrible.
Its open 24 hours and constantly being restocked. It can get busy at times but usually its not too much of a problem. It is scheduled to be expanded and remodeled which will, hopefully, make it even better.
Great selections in most departments. A young lady named Rachel gave us exceptional service preparing our fresh fish.
Great place love to shop there! Everyone is real friendly too! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I shopped at the Gratiot location daily until it closed! State st. location is always busy. Hard to get a parking spot. The store never has any carts inside! Long lines. Not enough checkouts open. I shop elsewhere now!
Great produce department, very clean and a great staff
My daughter ordered a delivery of groceries. When it came time for the food to arrive they called and said they were delayed 1 hour. Then they called and said that they canceled the order. No one could say why. So after charging her card $150.00 they told her it will take 3 to 4 days to get the money back. Shame on you Krogers. Shady way to conduct business. I guess youve lost 2 more customers but Im sure youll survive. When were allowed out in public again, prepare for some protesters out the doors.
Its a really nice store .But it is more expensive,Example ; a chocolate Easter Bunny was on sale for two for $8 at Kroger and I could get it at Walmart denicol brand and identical size for 3:38 and the individual price at Kroger was 449 what was the dollar 11 more at Kroger so I guess you have to watch where you star shopping and what youre shopping for
They quit doubling coupons so I usually have no reason to go here. I was in the area so I figured I’d check it out. Not impressed. I just seems too corporate. I try to stay faithful to local and non-chain. Meijer is my store. Tried and true. Meijer has stood the test of time.
Always a lovely shopping trip, friendly employees.
Good. Went on a Sunday and they had plenty free samples of food. Going to keep going in Sundays
