The service department treated me extremely well. Very courteous and friendly. My appointment was scheduled very timely and they gave me a rude back to work and picked me up after my car was serviced. Very reasonably priced.
They are professionally organized about appointments. Tony in service did an excellent job getting me in & out. The customer service driver-Joe did an excellent job dropping me off and picking me up. Felt safe the whole time.
We had our Honda serviced by Tony at the Conklin Cars, very friendly, the body shop did an amazing job reattaching the body side molding. The service department did a good job of running down things found; did a good check of brakes, fluids, battery, and informing us of items that may require attention. The car was clean too.
Chase was a pleasure to work with. He was very educated on the vehicle I was looking for and also responded promptly when when he found me one. Then there was the stressful part of the money. It was nice to work with Larry on this his years of experience made the process extremely easy and he felt like I was talking to family. We made a great purchase. I was not pleased with my visit to get my ignition switch replaced. There was an issue about me ordering parts which would have almost doubled my charge. The parts were on back order for for the repairs to be done & I asked them to let me know when they arrived so I could schedule service. The service manager told me he didn’t know about that. It seemed very odd to me. When the repair was complete, I was informed that I now have 2 keys— one for my door & another for the ignition. Nobody discussed that with me prior to the visit. I was informed that it would be another $500 to program door locks. I took to the dealership to make sure it worked like it did when I got it repaired. I wasn’t informed of any of that information and had no option to get one key function as it was originally. I wish I had gotten more information before it was in pieces in service.

My battery died while I was at an appointment in Salina. I didnt have an appointment for my CRV. However, they worked me in so I could get a new battery. The service team were friendly and helpful. After about 90 minutes, I was on the road back to Chapman.
Gerard & Ronda were so kind and helpful. In fact the other sale people were very friendly and kind. We started out buying a car when Gerard was a salesman in Hutchinson then when he moved to Salina we drove from Great Bend to Salina to purchase our cars. My husband enjoyed so much doing business with him. My husband is now deceased, so I appreciate the kindness & help they have given me.
My experience was fine. Service was timely and well done. The TV in the lobby was really bad (screen was dark blue).
Although I’ve had good experiences in the past, I was greatly disappointed with my service this time. I live 30 minutes from the dealership, and I began having 7 different errors flash on my dashboard. I took off work to get my 1 1/2 year old vehicle to the shop to check out these errors, and I also had them change the oil. I took off work later in the day to go pick it up. They told me they thought I had tainted gasoline, and that until I refilled with premium gas, they couldn’t reset the errors. So in order to get this taken care of, I would have to take more time off work to bring the vehicle back another day. I really wish they would called and given me the option of having THEM fill the tank with premium gas (at my expense), and then get the errors cleared—resolving the issue in one trip. That would have been great customer service. I paid for my oil change and left.As soon as I hit the interstate, another NEW error showed up on my dashboard “Engine Oil Low”. This one would not go away, and kept sounding an alarm. I called the dealership on my way home and they said they were going to check with the technician. They called me back a few minutes later and said they think they forgot to put the plug back in and that I needed to turn around immediately and head back to the shop. By that time, I had driven 20 miles with little to no oil. My son was graduating in about an hour and I didn’t have time to make another trip to/from Salina without missing the graduation. I pulled over and they sent a loaner vehicle out to me.The next day they called and said they had thoroughly checked the engine, and there was no damage. They also drained my gas tank and refilled it with premium and cleared the original errors. While I really appreciate these gestures, I feel like a major error like failing to replace the plug would have resulted in at least offering the oil change at no charge, if not more. There was never any offer of this. This situation caused a LOT of stress and frustration that could have been avoided. After buying 4 vehicles from Conklin, I’m not sure we’ll return. 🙁
Great place as far as I can tell. I dealt with Jessie a service manager who went above and beyond to try and help me. She made many phone calls trying to work with my horrible third party warranty company. My vehicle had broken down while on a trip and Jessie was very helpful. Id shop here if i didnt live 3 hours away.
Everyone was very friendly and professional. I dont understand much about cars and needed to buy one. They were able give me all the information I needed and helped me set up a maintenance plan for the car I purchased.

Yes, this is John, Debras husband. I am the person that brought our 2020 Honda Pilot over for service and am the person that usually gets service and repairs done on our carsOverall I was pleased with the service I received. There was one issue at the beginning, which was the fact that the Conklin computer database did not have the scheduled appointment noted or that the car was owned by us or have my information in its data banks.In spite of this computer issue, the service representative at the Conklin Salina location, Tony got the service order set up. He provided at estimated time period for the work to get completed and got our car back to the service shop. Tony was accommodating, professional, friendly and provided good customer service.I received the car back with the service completed and the car washed as well. Overall the response was good in spite of the issue with the computer database.

Prompt and friendly. They took care of an issue I had hassle free. The oil life display was not reset and the cruise control did not work and I did not discover it until I was on the road home. I called back and they were closed so I left a message, but I havent heard back after three days. Disappointing.

Appreciate appointments, and service was quick. They picked up on a problem that was easily corrected (new battery).But it was really disappointing to see all the employees either not wearing face masks, wearing them incorrectly, or wearing them only intermittently. I know I take risks anytime I go into public spaces, but it would be nice if Conklin would demonstrate that they care about their customers health, as well as their own.

I was very pleased with my service.
Brought 2007 Honda Ridgeline in because it had an extremely rough idle and I had a squealing noise in the front end. Neither problem was fixed but got charged $700. They said they did a valve adjustment and as far as I know nothing was addressed on the squealing noise. I called back to tell them it was running worse now then when I left it with them. Had to leave a message and my call was never returned. I was given some advise to try and put premium fuel and a bottle of fuel injector cleaner in. That immediately fixed the rough idle which tells me it is probably in the plugs or injector. Check engine light still comes on intermittently. I just bought a 2021 Honda Pilot from Conklins and it’s recommended to bring it there for service. Going to be hard to trust them after this.

Friendly staff. However there was apparent miscommunication between scheduler and repair department. I was told it would be an hour appt for oil change and tire rotation. I planned accordingly. It took almost 3 hours. At least they had the US open on in the waiting room, although the tv is shot as you could barely see the picture.
I had my timing belt and water pump replaced, and my coolant flushed. Tony was very cordial and professional, and communicated with me throughout the 5 1/2 hour service appointment. They made sure I had a place to sit and work, and even offered to drive me to lunch if I would like. I’d recommend them!

Disappointed this time. Had a service apt. for my wifes Honda and made sure they knew my wife was going to wait for it. Usually about an hour wait. Appt. was for 9:30 A.M. Wife didnt get car until 11:30 A.M. She did complain & got a $5 off coupon for next service.
Have just never been a fan if this dealership but the repair work they did on my car from hitting a coyote was great. Car was washed and cleaned out when I came to pick it up. I was very impressed.
We’ve always had great customer service at conklins. We’ve purchased 2 cars there now and they’ve always treated us like vips. The buying process was quick and painless. The service department has always been fast and professional. We will be back.
Made an appointment for oil change and was told would take an hour. Showed up 30 minutes early was told it would take 40 minutes. 2 hours later I was on my way. I hope this was a one time thing.Visit #2 was alot better. Had oil changed and a tire patched lot faster this time around.
Felt rushed and lied too. Been Conklin customers since 1996 and I guess loyalty means nothing if they are after sales. Best to drive to Manhattan or Wichita if looking for a Honda.
The scheduling and the actual oil change were fine(the only reason 2 stars were given). I had inquired about if they would be able to deliver my vehicle to my workplace after it was completed, they said that wouldnt be an issue and they would call me after the service was completed for payment over the phone. I was given an expected time of completion that was one hour after my appointment time. More than 2 hours after the said promised time, I called to check on my vehicle and was sent to voicemail. They called back another 30 minutes later and was told that the service was completed but they were having trouble finding anyone to bring my car over. I paid for the service over the phone and was told that they would have it delivered after someone returned from lunch. At 4:30 PM, I called to verify that it would be delivered and was sent to a voicemail again. I called back and insisted that I speak with someone. They said they had no idea that it needed to be delivered and that someone would be bringing it to me shortly. It was delivered just before 5pm. My appointment was at 8:30am. We have never felt welcome at this local Honda location but felt the convenience was worth saving the gas to the dealership we purchased from in Wichita. We wont be returning for any services as the convenience clearly wasnt there either. (Probably shouldnt advertise that you can deliver or pick up a vehicle if you really cant do it.)
I have had to have my vehicles repaired 3 times in five years. I have always dealt with Don Lewis assistant body shop manager at Conklin motors in Salina Kansas. His bids are always in line or under other bids that I have received. Whenever I get my car back it always surpasses my expectations. Don always goes out with me to be assured that I am satisfied. This is the only place I would go to to get my repairs done. Thank you Conklin motors for searching out for outstanding employees to fill your positions. Hal Morris

Just went in for an oil change and tire rotation. I got a same day appointment. They dropped me off at home and picked me up when it was done. They inspected my car and explained what was needed. All around, great experience.
Excellent service during the buying process. Everything was done online and by phone with Jason, the salesman. They delivered the vehicle to me in Wichita on time. The paperwork was complete and ready for my signature.

I went for a tire alignment and they thoroughly inspected my car and found some major issues that could have impaired my engine. I am so thankful for the staff. Went in for a test drive for the Honda Odyssey. Loved the van. The only thing I wanted to add was the all season floor mats. When they delivered the van to me it was missing the mats. I asked where they were and I was told they were out of stock. I asked him if there would be an extra charge for them and I was told no. Later that day they texted me and said since they didn’t include it in the sales agreement they wouldn’t honor the deal. Plus since I didn’t finance with them they wouldn’t give me the military discount. I think anyone who serves our Nation should get that discount. I would not recommend working with this dealership and will NEVER buy from them again.
I cant say enough about Conklin Honda Salina, and would give them more stars if I could. My daughters car broke down on Interstate 70 outside Salina late on Saturday of a long weekend while she was moving across the country from New Jersey. Luckily, we were able to contact Conklin an hour before they closed for the day. Although the service department was closed, the manager, Gerard, was very kind and helpful, and even stayed late to help her get the car towed to the service bay, then drove her to a hotel. Because the work would take a while, my daughter had to leave the car and travel on with a plan to pick it up later when fixed. When the service department opened after the long weekend, Chuck, the service rep, did a great job getting the problems assessed and the car repaired as quickly as could be hoped, keeping us informed along the way. Gerard and Chuck and the rest of Conklin Salina Honda turned what otherwise would have been a completely terrible situation into a much better and less painful memory. Thank you, we are very grateful.

Finance Manager Todd Hopkins was extremely helpful with the mound of paperwork that it takes to make the purchase of a car.And Conklin of Salina has gone the extra mile to make sure warranty work was performed, and the car has more than lived up to our expectations.
They were the closest place for me to get my Honda recall done, but the service was less than subpar. I live 1 hour 1/2 away and was told I would have a rental to get around considering the repair would take up to half a day. I was given a “ride” with no option to stay at the dealership and wait. I wasn’t given guidance of COVID-19 restrictions and was left to figure things out myself. The employees were more concerned about talking and laughing with each other than answering my questions.

Ive always had a good experience with Conklin cars. And what was wonderful is they always provided me a vehicle while mine was being worked on. Which meant I could do all my shopping while they had my vehicle. However 4 years later Im told I couldnt have a vehicle. they told me they only provide a vehicle for the first 3 years. I never was told this. This meant I sat there for an hour waiting. I live in an hour and a half away in Hays Kansas and to be able to utilize my downtime was always important to me. When I was able to use one of their cars, I did my shopping, came back to Conklin, picked up my vehicle after transferring my goods and then I returned home. However now it extends my time in Salina. I will probably seriously think about whether I will have Conklin service my vehicle. I may find a place in Hays for future service.

Joel was the absolute BEST. When we first arrived we were greeted by one individual who didn’t seem to hear us or even care what we were telling him. But, thankfully we were passed along to Joel. He sat with us, listened to our needs and wants and then proceeded to steer us in the right direction while giving us options. Then the finance manager, Larry showed us that Conklin does care about their customers whether they are buying the most expensive car on the lot or the least. When i can walk into service and be on first name basis and my vehicles are known it means alot and only one of the vehicles were purchased there. So its easy to tell the service isnt because i spent a ton of money its just a real good crew and as long as i can get that and good service you guys get my work and some vehicle purchases. I just really appreciate how fast you get us in when needed and the great treatment from your staff.

Had my vehicle in to fix the blower for heat/ac, had the tires replaced (they were low on tread) a week later the cooling fan started making noise, got that replaced. Go to pick it up and the rear emblem was laying on my drivers seat. Service manager was blaming the car wash (which it wasnt washed). The body shop manager ordered a new emblem and put it on himself. I am done dealing with that service advisor there, had problems before with him, thought after its been a while maybe stuff changed, guess not.

Took my car in today to have an airbag light checked out. Took them twice as long to look at than expected. Was told the airbag doesnt work and a new one would cost 1103 dollars. Just plugging it in to tell me what I already knew cost me 80 dollars. The car had a screw and plastic cover lying in the center console and the radio was locked when I got it back. Very unprofessional service.

Did not have all the parts needed to do my recalls. Had to reschedule for another day and had some confusion with if the parts were there or not. Then had issues with the recalls that were preformed.
