Went to JCA to look at a Matthews bow Jim was outstanding and explained everything in detail. Ended up buying a Matthews V-3 27 & loaded it up a drop away rest and trophyridge single pin sight plus arrows and a new release.

Jim was a huge help in getting back into a hobby I loved as a kid. I knew little to nothing on what I needed or wanted. He walked me through various pieces of equipment and was just the nicest guy. I am excited for my new bow and arrows and cant wait to go back to his place again to shoot.

Jim provided us with excellent service, highly recommend! He replaced my limbs on my BowTech and set up my bow like new. He was professional knowledgeable.

Great experience. I know nothing about archery and Jim helped me out with everything. I suggest you buy your bow from his shop as he knows what he is doing. Im a novice and he took the time to show me the finer points of how to use all the equipment. I learned on a compound bow but I will return to purchase a recurve. Thanks Jim. John

Jim has a great little shop with modern equipment but he operates like an old school shop with personal service and vast knowledge. On a tip from a friend, I stopped in over the Thanksgiving holiday while driving back to San Diego from Frisco. Im so glad that I did, Jim filled me in on a bunch of San Diego archery history and made me feel right at home. I wish he was closer, Id be there all the time.

One of the best archery shops in Ca. JIm has never talked up his shop nor talked another one down, I’ve been doing business with him for over 20 years and he’s the real deal. The shop has every kind of gear, shooting range and a wealth of knowledge, speaking of if you do your homework you’ll figure out that Jim was one of the pioneers of archery. Once you find a good archery shop it’s hard to go somewhere else!

My wife and I came by Jims for our first archery lessons. Wed been interested in learning, mostly just to have fun. They took us in, treated us very kindly, and the lessons were relaxed and enjoyable. We will definitely be returning in the future and paying for additional classes!

Jim spent time resetting and inspecting my dry fired bow (by a friend) got me set up with properly cut arrows, gave me a light training and range time for about an hour and only charged me for the arrows and a bench fee. This is what I love to see from small business owner, true passion for his field and a no nonsense attitude.

Im planning on going on a white tail hunt in October and wanted to use a bow on the planned hunt. I had never used a bow so I gave JCA a call and Jim invited me to one of his classes. I attended the class and that was all she wrote. I was hooked and 2 weeks later at the recommendation of Jim, I purchased a Diamond Archery SB-1. The price was right and Jim didnt try to up sell me. He told me upfront that this was the best starter bow for me. Jim was very patient with me while setting up my bow and answered all my questions. He also offered some free range time with instruction as well. Jim is a down to earth and you can tell hes very passionate when it comes to archery. I would recommend JCA to any one thats thinking of getting into archery. Jims the best and will treat very well.

Walked through the door and met by a gritty fella named Jim, hes the owner. He was very respectful, and very knowledgeable about what bow would be my best bet. He set me up with a decent bow for my very low budget(college student), anyhow he spent time fitting me to the correct draw length and didnt try to sell me the most expensive bow in the shop. I feel like he really does care about your experience and he made sure I was comfortable with my purchase. I walked out of his shop very pleased, I even came back the next day to purchase another sight and to shoot at the indoor range. You can shoot for $10 an hour or get a lesson for $15 an hour. Also his bow tech was very helpful, he spent some time adjusting my new sight, he too was more then willing to help me get back into the sport Ive missed for so many years. And just a quick reminder, they have seriously everything from longbows, recurves, target bows, to compounds. All the finest accessories, shafts, complete arrows, etc. Definitely a 5 star rating.

Jim is amazing!!! My husband and I went there with absolutely no knowledge of bows. Jim was very patient, knowledgeable and encouraging. He took the time to train each of us and gave us tips that probably would have taken us years to figure out on our own. My husband got a compound and I got a recurve. He took the time to adjust the compound bow for my husband. He brought us into the range and taught us how to shoot. It was soooooo refreshing to do business with someone that actually listened to what we wanted. He was never pushy and didnt try to sell us things we didnt need. He does business the old fashioned way .......the way it should be. A true old fashioned gentleman. An experience we will always remember!!!!
