Super happy with the service I received here. Took my car in for tint... competitive pricing and quality workmanship (they even washed the car). While there, I noticed they do paint-less dent repair. I’m so happy!! Can’t even tell it was ever there.

A year or two ago I got the detail where they clean your engine for about $250 and they did a fantastic job. I was over the moon, however I had asked if they could remove some Plastidip from my tires, and whoever I spoke to assured me that they could, and added to the bill accordingly. When I got back, the tires were unchanged, and I was speaking to the person I believe was the owner at the time, and I mentioned it to him. He said that its difficult to get off, and that he would reach out for me to bring my car back and they would give it another shot. I thought the service was fantastic after this, but months pass, I never get a call, about a year and a half passes and I stop thinking about it. I eventually come back, within the last 3 months, for another fantastic detail at my favorite place. I tell them about the situation, then ask them to give it another shot assuming they could do it. When they finish they tell me that they were unable to remove the Plastidip from my tires. While this was disappointing, it wasnt entirely unexpected, so it wasnt a big deal. I get the bill and there was a charge for removing it. When I asked them to remove it, the person told me that the had to have someone look at it, so there was a labor cost. As a business owner, its laughably inappropriate to charge me a second time for something a professional detail and customs shop should be able to do, but was unable to twice. The person that handed my car back to me said that he could cut the fee for looking at the tires and deciding it wasnt worth the effort in half. I decided to not argue with him, and here we are. Im totally okay with their inability to remove the Plastidip from the tires. It is not an easy thing to do. The situation surrounding it, not getting the call back, and being charged twice for something and being told its impossible is what I have issue with.Edit:They reached out to me within a couple hours of posting this review and offered a free detail to make things right. This is very appreciated, and Im confident if any miscommunication or mistakes happen in the future, management at Grease Monkeys cares enough to try and resolve the issue.

I was impressed with this company the moment I walked into their doors! The location was clean and well maintained, both inside and outside. The associates were engaging and greeted me in a pleasant and friendly manner. They asked questions to determine how they could best assist me, and listened carefully to my needs. I made an appointment to have my vehicle treated to remove cigarette smoke residue from the previous owner of the vehicle. When I picked up the vehicle I was so happy to be able to enter the vehicle and not smell any smoke residue. I was assured that if the smoke smell returned they would do another treatment to make sure that I was happy. I was also greeted pleasantly by the manager upon arrival to pick up my vehicle, and let him know how happy I was with the job that was done and the customer service that I received. In an age where customer service has been treated like an archaic principle of the past by many companies, this company has renewed my faith that customer service is still alive and well.

Im a newer resident to Salinas, and I dont know many people yet, so Im having to build my own set of references for places to go in case X happens.In this case, X is a case of I bought a used car cheap because someones coffee exploded all over the interior trim, carpet, and headliner, it smells like a coffee shop and looks like a horror movie, and I cant live like this. I purchased the car from a big company in San Jose with a one week return policy based on the cars condition.My plan: get the interior deeply cleaned, maybe replace the headliner if everything else was okay but the headliner gave up the ghost, and still save money over the cars in better interior condition. And if it wasnt fixable, Id only be out the cost of an interior cleaning. It was a gamble, but sometimes it can pay off.Then, things got crazy at work during that 2020 pandemic, you know the one, and the next thing I knew I had less than two days left on my return opportunity. Oh no. Gut check time.Enter Grease Monkeys Customs. On a Saturday, with just an early morning phone call, Gabe and his crew were able to fit us in for a carpet, upholstery, and headliner cleaning.They did some deep work, going above and beyond my requests, did some addition small (and even large) work that wasnt requested but was very much appreciated, and delivered an amazing interior considering what we started with.I left Grease Monkeys with a sparkling exterior, trunk, engine, trim, and carpet, and a nearly perfect headliner. I was amazed.Grease Monkeys really came though, and Ill be a returning customer for some dents and auto damage on my other vehicle. They already easily saved me two grand over what I would have paid without their help.The team has an eye for detail, and knows the difference between looking clean and BEING clean. Me and my wife took our Toyota CH-R for a complete auto detail. When we went to pick it up, we were very impressed with its appearance and thorough detailing. It looked better than it did on the show floor when we purchased it.If we could give 10 stars, we would, but were only allow to give 5. We were treated like family and we felt very welcomed. I recently bought a car and was in need of a good tint job, so I decide to google tint shops in Salinas. First result that came up was Grease Monkeys Customs, I read the reviews and felt confident enough to make an appointment. I call and make an appointment the next day. I come in for my appointment and am greeted by a wonderful lady who walked me through the tinting process as well as answering any questions I had. I was also offered a shuttle service which was able to drop me off at home. The work was done in about 2 hours and the shuttle was also offered to pick me up. When I arrived I was greeted by the owner who to my surprise told me he had worked on the car personally, he explained to me all that they had done and all the instructions I should follow for a clean result. All in all they did a fantastic job and definitely deserve the 5 star rating, they definitely went above and beyond my expectations, I look forward to doing business with them again.

After being denied by several shops around the area trying to get my taillights smoked, I came upon Grease Monkeys. Without question they told me they would hook me up! Got an estimate and a couple days later dropped off my car. It was done the next day. My taillights came out perfect. These pictures dont do it justice. WOW. Gabe and his team are so amazing! I was looking for a good spot to detail my car (I had mold in the backseat due to spilled clam juice) and it had lots of good reviews. I decided to try it out and I am so glad I did. My car looks like a brand new car even though its 8 years old with 200k miles on it. Will most definitely come back. Grease monkeys is a modern shop with well informed staff. They take the time to talk to you and explain things and help you customize your tint. I got my car tinted (lifetime warrenty) and it looks super clean! Ive had it for a while now but I still love looking at how good my car looks with those dark windows! I had a small issue with one of the tints a while after getting it and they fixed it for me in just a couple hours, good as new! Get the life time tint for a peace of mind like I did!

Great experience from when I called all the way to picking up my car after the service they provided. Through and through Gabe was the person I dealt with. Everyone else that works there was friendly welcoming and Gabe made us feel comfortable and informed. Instead of selling us on different packages he informed us of the different tint packages. His brother, showed us different tint levels and gave us info of what to expect with different tints. We made the choice for a 3M lifetime warranty tint which they knocked out of the park. I have no idea what the negative reviews are about. From the moment I stepped into Grease Monkeys, I got the star treatment. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. They explained all the different types of tint and made great suggestions about what would look best on my car. Ive had two cars tinted and both cars came out flawless. Ive also had one of my cars detailed and had fabric protector applied.Their lounge was perfect to sit and wait in. On one of cars, I couldnt wait for it so they gave me a loaner car. Who does that? Grease Monkeys does! Ive referred friends and family to them and theyve had nothing but nice things to say too.I was recently in a car accident and needed an estimate asap. I got that within minutes. I went to Grease Monkeys Customs, Window Tinting & Detailing to get an RV, trailer, and golf cart washed. I did not have an appointment but they were able to fit me in at the end of the day. They were priced fairly and they went above and beyond with their service. Gabe the owner went as far as to take me to pick up my rental car and then showed me how to get to the race track using the proper entrances for the race teams. Great team and great business. I highly recommend them if you are in the area and need their services. If I could give them 6 stars I would!!!!

Have been to Grease Monkeys on three different occasions and all three times they have treated me like family. Their customer service and work ethic is on another level. Just recently had my windows tinted and they look great! Now I need to install some fog lights on our new civic and will be taking that in to them as well. I brought in my 1972 VW Beetle to have the rear 3 windows tinted. Fantastic work! I couldve gone to a cheaper shop, but it wouldve been a half-a$$ed job. It was easy to make an appt. but then also re-schedule my appt. when I had to move things around. When I was able to get in, the job was done in a day and the outcome was amazing! I wish I had taken before/after photos but believe me when I say I was blown away by the work they did.I paid for my service and then immediately scheduled another service for a month out to tint my front windows. I think its safe to say this place wont disappoint. Look at this review, and all the other 5 star ones, this is the place you need tp bring your car to.

Ive been to Grease Monkeys a few times, and their service is great. The first time I went there was to have them buff out some scratches on my 09 Malibu at their old location. Gabe was the one who took care of me and he was very professional and friendly. He got rid of the scratches and made it look like they never happened. They have now tinted my windows, lowered my car, and even done collision work one time someone hit my car. I wouldnt let anybody else work on my car because I know they treat it like it was their own. 10/10 would recommend.

Excellent work at a great price, took in my car to get the rear tail lights smoked out and had a spoiler put on my car, the tail lights came out amazing and the wing installation was great. they even stayed after hours to make sure that I got my car the same day because of my really early work schedule.

I could not ask for better service. I hired Grease Monkeys to remove old window tinting on my Ford Mustang and they did a great job. The owner himself came to my work place in Salinas to pick me up even when my car was finished. A+ recommendation!

The only food thing is there tint other than that they base there business off overpriceing and lies,Go to searson if you want honest work and reliable work

Grease Monkeys went above and beyond to make my 50th Anniversary model Camaro MINE....without being obnoxious! From the perfect stripes to the wheels, from interior/exterior detailing to the polarized tinting (windshield included & it didnt effect the HUD display).... it was the subtle details that made all the difference.Gabe advised. I listened.... and voila!!!! My car is sexy, badass and watch out for us on the highway.I WILL BE BACK to have two more things done to her..... work in progress, but a fine foundation!

Gabe was super helpful, snuck in my car even though they barely had time and hooked it up with a free car wash and vacuumed my car. Definately coming back, i recommend them. 👍
