Drinks are spectacular, interior is super stylish, staff was really welcoming + knowledgeable of vegan food/drink options. They have oat milk, which makes my heart soar! :) Such a gem of a spot! Loved the bathroom signage and inclusive vibe. Can’t wait to come back next time we are in town! Parking lot on-site. 👍🏼Update: I tried the vegan burrito and it was reallyyy tasty too!
Outstanding service, great food, friendly staff. As a client experience manager, I find myself often being overly critical of my experiences while in the world. These folks really exceeded my expectations! We were here on vacation and stopped in for breakfast both days. Found the staff to all be very friendly and knowledgeable. Took time to explain different drinks to my wife despite it being busy. Coffee was delicious. My breakfast sandwich was like heaven. Homemade breakfast sausage and egg on a warm, buttery biscuit, cooked to perfection. The second morning we had a mix up where someone else took my food order by accident. Totally not their fault, but the staff apologized profusely and quickly put together my order a second time. Even gave me a token for. Free drink next time I am in as an apology, which was not necessary but definitely appreciated. All in all a great experience and I will absolutely be back next time we are down that way.
Love this home-grown, locally owned coffee shop. Everything is delicious, the ambiance is great in all the locations, and the staff is friendly and professional. We stop in weekly, at least.
Really great coffee/lattes, and a great selection of other drinks. But I go there for their coffee AND their food. The menu is not large, but it is diverse and the food is really good. My person favorite is the loaded tots.
I love rise up. Great food and coffee. The lavender lemonade is the best. There are multiple locations and they never disappoint.
Staff is very friendly and professional. Service is great and prices are reasonable. Coffee is great.
Best coffee on the shore! Love getting breakfast as well. Never had a bad experience.
Good breakfast tacos and coffee. Pricey as a chain, which is odd for a local place, but still worth it. Staff is excellent.
I love the coffee! I tried the berry Acia bowl and it was yummy. I really like that they have an XL size hit coffee. Service was good. My only thing is the lid will leak. Not sure if it is me or the lid. Always have to watch or I end up with coffee drops on my shirt.
Ive to start with: They bring coffee from Costa Rica! That says a lot :D Delicious coffee, beautiful people attending... next time were going earlier to try the food that looks very tasty... Definitely a must stop in Salisbury you have to do when you visit this place... We look forward to going back before we leave!
We were searching for a Starbucks and stumbled upon this gem before we could find one. Great coffee and delicious authentic food to warm the soul. Thank you!!
Fast & friendly service! Not to mention the food was amazing per usual;)
Coffee is good but the service and attitude is not worth the extra tip automatically included in the online ordering system. Slick though.
Good food and drinks at a reasonable price, location and checkout process both feel very cramped.
Great cold latte on a hot day! Friendly service!
Ive transitioned from Starbucks to here. I love the staff. Friendly, welcoming, above all, seems like a really good work / customer service environment. I would apply there but you guys would fire me from drinking too much espresso. 🤙
Rise up has consistently provided high quality coffee, food and service. Everyone at any location seems to have an awesome attitude and is very friendly. My favorite is the og coffee smoothie but their black coffee is a great daily staple. It’s not a cheap place, but if you want cheap breakfast, go to wawa or dunkin. My only complaint: bring back the original verde salsa recipe - we need a little spice In our lives!!
Adorable place- EXCELLENT coffee! Right off the road so a quick detour on my way to Chincoteague!! They really weren’t serving food when I was there during Covid but it looks like they serve awesome sandwiches and salads. I had heard that they had really great coffee from a foodie friend of mine and so I stopped and will be going there again every time I go down to Chincoteague. And by the way check out their restrooms, they’re really cool and artsy!
Best coffee in my heart.
Alway going for the nitro cold brew when I’m town.
One of my favorite local spots! So happy they are expanding to so many other places outside of the Eastern Shore. I’ve visited many different locations and found the same consistent high quality standards everywhere. Great drinks/food served by cool and friendly employees that make you feel welcomed. It’s a testament to the owners/managers to create an environment that the employees obviously appreciate and are able to reflect back to the customers. Kudos on the safety standards they’ve put in place to allow us to continue to enjoy this amazing experience.
Best coffee in Maryland. I grew up in virginia and its the best coffee there too. The staff by the college is incredible, and the food and drinks are just as good. If you arent stopping at one of their locations every morning youre wasting your life.
Food and service was just ok.
Anytime I wanna pick me up I get a Rise up Caramel white chocolate smoothie, a bit pricy but Soo worth it for fresh organic blends!
The prices are high for what you get. All the employees were wearing masks but the tables were filthy.
Good coffee, great atmosphere
This is the best coffee I have ever had. Perfectly roasted, ground, and brewed. Employees are pleasantly happy and helpful.
Best coffee around, my favorite is a French vanilla, oatmilk latte with cinnamon. Their food really good and the staff is always friendly!
Best coffee shop in the SBY area!
In and out fast with great service awesome coffee parking sucks as it does anywhere else
Have been a huge supporter since the trolley days in St. Michaels. But this is my least favorite location. The food is, too frequently, inconsistent. Today I received the wrong order twice and waited in the parking lot a total of 50 minutes. It was correct the third time but I was only offered an apology for my time and patience. I wont be returning to this location. I hope that customer retention is handled differently at other locations. In fact, it is so much better at Easton and Cambridge, where I know what Im getting each time.
Best coffee, no comp, gg ez
Rise Up has always been a favorite place of mine. The quality of food is high. The service is always friendly. The community of people that come here hes special as well. Id much rather come here than Starbucks because I think they are a positive business that strives to deliver value in every way they can. I love that they aim for organic ingredients and support local farms.
Over priced and wait 20 minutes for tasteless burnt food. One time experiencing this is one thing but this literally happens to me every single time I come here
Amazing taste and the smell...divine. Worth the money. They will grind the beans for you dependent on brewing method or you can do it yourself at home. Simply put, an amazingly delicious cup of coffee. Try it, they will give you a small sample cup so you can taste different roasts to find your favorite.
The wings are devine
Good coffee. Good food. Good service.
Love it here! Coffee and food are always delicious and the folks that work here are the best.
My friend and I have been going for years...my friend is an avid coffee drinker....i personally hate coffee AND caramel but this is the only place that can get me to drink an xl caramel macchiato. its weird, but good
Great place, but they need more seating!! Super popular spot - I was in at 7am on a weekday, and felt bad because there were SO MANY people coming in that were looking around for a spot to sit and study/work. For such a popular place, I think they should have a larger venue. They do have outdoor seating which is nice, but on this particular day it was 40 degrees in the morning, so that wasnt an ideal option for people. But the coffee is great! Love the flavor. I think the breakfast burrito was great, but a bit pricey for the size of it. I love the chai lattes here, very good. Friendly staff, but my only suggestion is to try coming when it wont be as populated.
Good coffee and food but not worth the price of the food. I could most likely get the same food for less at Royal Farm
Had a really good egg and cheese biscuit, which seemed fresh made! the staff was also friendly :) vegetarian and gluten free options
I love Rise Up! Their cold brew is consistently good batch to batch. I also love the friendly staff and their willingness to make anything to your specifications, even if its not on the menu. Nice vegetarian food options and a great atmosphere at all of their locations. I buy coffee beans to brew at home and keep my growler filled with their deliciously smooth cold brew. The only thing I dont like is the line I have to wait in to get my hands on my fave coffee concoctions!
Wow, this place is amazing. They have the best coffee ever. They are better than Starbucks. The service is excellent, their products (coffe, danishes, sandwitches) are off the hook. They gave a frozen hot chocolate that is to die for.
When Im in Salisbury, I always get a great, organic cafe mocha (dk choc). Its amazing!
I tried the coffee smoothie in original flavor it was delicious and not too sweet. I also had the chorizo and egg burrito which was great but a little small for the price. I also wasnt given any of the green sauce they offer with it. My date had the bacon egg and cheese biscuit and she enjoyed it. The place was nice, the staff was friendly, and the food was good if a bit overpriced. Come early the place gets crowded.
Second time Ive gotten the wrong sandwich from the College Ave location. I just paid $13 for fried potatoes.
Fantastic quality but it took nearly an hour for our order.
Review in haiku:Kind friendly serviceI ordered a mochatasted Delicious
Getting one good cup of coffee at a coffee shop isnt hard. Finding a coffee shop (let alone a chain of coffee shops) that delivers coffee that is consistent in taste and quality is a rare find indeed. Rise Up coffee is a unicorn, a rare find. This Eastern Shore Original is everything you could want in a morning cup of joe, and more!
I do like Rise Up and its not fair to compare it to Viva Espresso, the coffeehouse/restaurant that was there before, but boy, was the food better and more varied before Rise Up took over. I had some kind of nondescript egg dish. It wasnt bad, but it was nothing specialThe muffins are prefab from a distributor, not baked on the premises. However, if you are just there for the coffee, you are in for a treat. The coffee is delicious.
I love rise up. I just got a mocha coffee smoothie, it was amazing
Very good coffee and breakfast menu.. we had the breakfast biscuits.. egg bacon or sausages.. great price too.. friendly service..☕️
What can I say that already hasnt been said before about this amazing coffee shop. Rise Up provides an amazing service to the locals. They stock fresh ingredients from local business owners such as Nice Farms Creamery and only the best roasted coffee beans. 10/10 for this gem of a place.
A popular place no matter what you need to start your day
Rise Up Coffee is a quaint coffee shop. Nice atmosphere and a great place to work of needed or meet up with friends. On my first visit I had a breakfast sandwich. It was just ok but not worth the amount of money I spent. The biscuit was hard and the eggs had no seasoning. If they can improve on that I would give it 5 stars!!!
Amazing coffee and food and friendly staff.
We love Rise Up! Their coffee is delicious, specialty drinks are tasty, fresh baked goods are delectable (try the glazed donut!), and Mad Eggs cooks a mean breakfast. You really cant go wrong with anything on the menu. Be careful, with the increasing popularity of this establishment, Rise Up may not be a great place if youre in a rush. In case you are, bring $2 cash and you can skip the line to fix a regular coffee on your own. But for a relaxing brunch or a pick-me-up during a study break, Rise Up is the spot!
Great atmosphere and great coffee! Staff welcomed me as I walked in the door. Met up with friends, got medium coffees, and hung out for 30 minutes with no pressure to purchase anything else. Free WiFi. I would love this place where I live.
Quality coffee and pastries. Usually busy.
The atmosphere is young and fun. The food and coffee is delicious.. we get coffee smoothies every other week or more. I love the salmon cream cheese bagel.. its my favorite!
Great coffee and breakfast foot! This place has a great modern atmosphere and usually attracts a lot of college kids. Absolutely love it! Not a great place to go if you are looking to get in and get out. The wait can be a bit long because its really popular.
Rise up has great coffee, but chances are you already knew about that. What you might not have payed attention to is the great and fairly cheap food that rise up offers as well. Their açái bowls alone are fantastic and about half the price of another place in the area that offers the same item. They also have great baked goods as well and plenty of non-coffee drinks.
Took 50 minutes to get a breakfast sandwich! I asked after 20 minutes if they still had the order (with names included) because people after us were getting and guy making the food said I do its coming up. So continued to wait for another 10 more minutes and people after us kept getting their food before us. Went to counter to ask someone else, the order didnt print out, so he lied and was never making the order. So as they made it for another 10 minutes, the order ended up being wrong and the guy stated it was correct, so I had to show someone else. If I am waiting 50 minutes I better have correct order. Only positive from this is the other employees were polite and helpful. What ticks me off is that he saw us standing there forever and didnt say anything besides you have to wait it is busy.
My spouse and I stopped as we were passing through town. We appreciate a local roaster and always look for coffee shops that use locally roasted beans to make a fresh, flavorful cup of coffee. The description on Maps shows that, so we stopped.A nice shop and friendly service, but my hot house roast coffee and my spouses iced latte both lacked the flavor that weve come to enjoy from quality roasters along our travels. It appeared the latte was made using premade coffee rather than a fresh espresso shot. Not bad for an average cup of joe, but we were hoping for more than average from a local roaster as listed on Maps.
Kind staff, great coffee and fun merch!
Cool atmosphere. Good smells. Unisex bathrooms. Inside and outside seating. Coffee is cheap, espresso is not. 3 types of PYO coffee. Free water. Optional mugs or to go cups. Friendly staff. Easy check out.
Best coffee and the ONLY independently run coffeehouse that I know of from Westover to Cambridge. The ambience and atmosphere encourages you to stay awhile and relax. Warm, earthy natural tones are woven throughout the store and it just gives a very urban, laid-back feel. I cant say enough about Rise Up. From the fantastic coffee and daily offerings of fresh muffins and sandwiches, to the upbeat, friendly faces that serve you, this place is undeniably the best in its class.
Long time consumer. First time reviewer.Ive enjoyed coffee and other menu items here for quite some time. Ive gotten to know many of the staff and I can say they all make excellent coffee. If youre interested in coffee and a great atmosphere, do yourself a favor abd head to Rise Up on East College Ave.
This is a popular gathering place, an alternative to some chains. It was crowded, loud, and not clean at the time I was there. The coffee is good; prices seemed high to me on non-coffee items, but actually in same range as competitors. Coffee is good quality.
Always a good spot for a quick coffee pickup or to sit and catch up on work. Decent food selection as well.
This place is amazing! Great coffee, great food, helpful staff, and a very welcoming atmosphere to all. Also, kudos for using paper straws! The ocean thanks you!
Love coming to Rise Up.. Staff is always friendly my latte perfect and acai, bowl yummy
I was tempted to leave a bad review so that I could keep this place all to myself...But a bad review would be a total lie this is the best place 4 amazing coffee and awesome breakfast food in all of Salisbury and CambridgeThe only trouble is its small... in Salisbury theres barely any parking and if you get there when its a busy day theres no way youre going to get a chance to sit down unless you want to cozy up to someone whos already sitting at a table.... Which may be awkward for your introverts but for people like me who have never met a stranger its not a big deal.It is a major spot for college kids yoga instructors nurses doctors lawyers average people all just trying to get their morning cup of joe.
Great food, great service, fantastic coffee ❤️❤️❤️ you want want anyone elses coffee after theirs!! They used cups out of recycled plastic and have switched to paper straws to help our earth. They have food for the meat lovers, the vegetarian, and even the vegan so everyone will leave happy. Their coffee is also free trade and you will be supporting a local business rather than a big corporation. In the end its the best place to be!!
The best coffee shop I’ll ever go. I’m so sad that I graduated from Salisbury and there isn’t one in Baltimore. If there is a rise up around you, GO!!! I recommend the açaí bowl and an iced vanilla latte with oat milk!!
Unexpected find in Salisbury! I had a smashed red potato bowl that was delicious and my husband had a breakfast burrito that he enjoyed. The food was cooked to order and very fresh. I asked for my egg fried over hard (I hate runny eggs) and they were happy to accommodate. I really cant say enough good things about the food. We didnt try the coffee (we found the place after we were well-caffeinated), but it smelled really good. My only complaint was the seating was really scarce (and it wasnt a weekend or rush hour, I think we went at around 11 on a Friday). Given the limited seating, I think they need a policy on how long you can linger - most of the seats were occupied by people on their computers (and its just not a large enough space for that). That said, parking was fine even though they were so full because they have a great set up where they share parking with a bar that isnt open at the same time. Really smart strategy there. Well definitely be back!
The atmosphere is awesome and very comfortable, as well as the decor. Everyone is pleasant and the coffee and food was very enjoyable. Definitely a great place to go for breakfast and lunch. Love it!
This is peel ur eye balls bac good coffee shop.
College ave has the best servers. I was recommended by my wife
Rise Ups new digs are fresh yet relaxing. Same great offerings and service as other locations, BUT---and, mind you, I only heard this from my children---the bathroom floor is covered with pennies. Kids wouldnt stop gushing over the coolness of this decor detail. ;-)
Roast their own coffee on the Easten Shore. Lots of great staple roasts, and each season brings new seasonal roasts. Only coffee I buy and grind at home.
Rise up, Please branch out to Pittsburgh!!! Specifically Cranberry Twp, PA. Hands down, Best coffee house ever! Food is excellent too! I visit a friend in Salisbury & every time have to stop by. TY for bringing the lavendar back! My favorite is the Latte both hot & cold, with lavendar 😊
Food better than average coffee shop; organic coffee; great staff
Awesome coffee, Good service, and great food selection. They even have a really good lemonade that hits the spot on a hot day.
