Really cute small but mighty store with all the art supplies you can ever want. They usually have good deals; when I went I got buy one get one paper pads. Parking is a bit hard in this area, but we got lucky and found a spot right next to the store on the street. I didnt get much, but I know blick is reliable whenever I need some specific art supplies. 🎨🖌️👩‍🎨

The BEST art supply store in all of Utah! Its small, but has soooo many fun, tempting art supplies at great deals! Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Even though the employee wasnt too familiar with Dr. Ph Martins, I tried out her suggestions and still had fantastic results! Wish I remembered her name. They also have art classes upstairs, which is awesome too. For the more illustrative artists out there, this is the place for you!

Way, way, too crowded. Its almost impossible to find anything. The aisles are so narrow and everything stacked upon each other. But its fun to go and look through everything they have. As long as you dont have to pass somebody in the aisle. Mostly you all have to back up and step aside. They need a new location.

Great little art store. I used to go to art classes here nearly 15 years ago, and theyre still in business. It can be a little cramped, but they have a great selection of supplies for painting, drawing, pottery, etc.

Very good store, with helpful staff.They happened to be out of all 3 things I went for (well, 1 was a case where they carried several types/brands, but mine was only available online).I found several unusual or new things to play with, like a new kind of oil painting sticks. They had trial packs, plus gave free samples, at checkout.Only a cross-secyion of brands in each area, but a good selection. Worth supporting one of the few remaining storefronts that will do that.

If you are in need of art supplies, come here. Their selection is massive, the store is well laid out, their inventory is always in stock, and the customer service is quite good. Prices can be a little more expensive than other stores, like Michaels or Hobby Lobby, but youre supporting local businesses which is obviously a better choice, plus the people here actually care about your art and want you to be confident in your supplies. I had to do a return for a product that did not function the way I had needed, and they were very accommodating, even though I did not meet their return policy standards. I will be shopping here for all my art supplies.

The only places to get art supplies in my town is Wal-Mart and Joanns which is a bummer. I have ordered from here online as well the catalog so getting to see this place was a real treat. It offers so much more than just art supplies but they are also display the artwork of the community and make it an experience as well teach artwork to anyone. The lady was a new cashier but it didnt stop her from smiling and enjoying the customers. If I lived in Salt Lake City, I would visit here more often as well take a class or two. Absolutely no ADA people parking! Unless I wanted my car towed I had to park and walk from a block away.Thats difficult for someone who cant!!!In regards to Blick/Peterson parking, nothing was directionally marked, no arrows, no signaeg, no nothing!Come to find, parking is on 10th East! Parking there, was a nightmare! I ended up denting my bumper on the foot high retaining wall.Next, the lighting in the building, especially in the pencil/colored pencil/pastels section was so inadequate I almost went blind!I couldnt tell or see what color, description of, or number it was.I wonder how much would it cost to rearrange and light the place properly. How much would it cost to buy some parking places for ADA access? And,I dont know, at the very least have better signaeg so peoole dont dent a bumper or get towed!!!Id bet itd cost very little in comparison to the cash theyre taking in!Get it together Blick!!!I wouldve bought more if I hadnt felt so claustrophobic, couldve seen and located what I wanted to purchase without asking, and had a place to park!!!

Great place to find most of your artist needs. Parking here is unfortunately around the corner and not all that quick to find if you don’t know the area. I love that their system checks online discounts before you checkout to make sure you’re getting the best deal. Overall this is a great place lower star because of parking.

I found the air clay products which I was looking for, fixated my eyes on products which I will definitely will be returning for and the prices are SUPER reasonable! Shopping at Blick in Sugar House is a NO BRAINER and you should consider coming here before even thinking of buying with the XXXZON. Such a cute little store! Id never been there before but its so amazing. They have loads of quality products and a very friendly and helpful staff. Bought watercolor, book binding, and Sculpy supplies on this trip. The prices are fantastic, much cheaper than Michaels or Joanns from my experience.

I wish they had more locations since driving to and in salt lake is not fun, but once inside the shop I feel like I’m in heaven. Practically everything you need for all your artistic endeavors. Everything’s pretty well organized in an overflowing kind of way, but if you do need to talk to a staff member to find something they’re always very helpful and friendly!I used to get my stuff at nearby craft stores but blick’s is a 100% better because tbh cutesy home decor stuff makes me a little sick, so blicks is the good stuff about craft stores without the bad stuff! Worth the drive to avoid seeing another ‘live love laugh’ sign.A word of caution: this place uses the same sorcery that target does but worse. You will leave with more than you planned, but don’t worry you definitely needed another copic marker because the exact same one you already have may get lost, you never know!!!!

No willingness to dialogue. No questions asked. Just mask up or get out. Leave the things you have picked up to purchase and leave the store.The local mask mandates are expired but the purple hair behind the counter is getting off telling people they have to put a piece of cloth over their face or leave. Been driving from out of state to get our supplies here for years. Most of the store is overpriced Michaels craft supplies but they do have some good fine art supplies. Nothing you can’t find somewhere else though. Even if you think masking up will help the workers here are not interested in any objections medical or conscientious just mask up or get out.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Went in there not knowing what we needed and the guy helped us find what we needed. Checking out the women was friendly and put up with us getting distracted. Good place and will for sure go back.

My older son and I enjoy coming to this art supply store because of the friendly customer service. The store isnt that big so it makes it easy to get around. . Probably the most challenging part are the prices but all of the items are very good quality. They truly do carry the best art supplies. The parking is a little bit challenging as well, where you have to park in the back or on the west side across an alley. Its not that challenging to deal with but makes it a little bit unique to access the store.

Blick is the only place i go for art supplies. They have student discounts and match their website prices as well. Their range of products is huge!!! They always have what I need. The employees are knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. 10/10 would recommend

The Sugarhouse Blick is a really pleasant, down to earth place. They have so many great products and options and the staff is friendly and well trained in the artistic mediums they sell. Parking is odd but that just makes you stay a few minutes longer. Theyve been able to answer my most obscure questions without missing a beat every time.

Its a small, tight space, so they are limiting how many people are in the store, which is great. There was a small line outside to get in but it moved quickly and the cashiers did a great job.

Blick is like Bob Ross heaven!! They pretty much everything you could ever want, except brown ochre and sepia colored pencils.... But seriously great customer service and an awesome environment, with a HUGE variety!

This is the candy store for artists. They have a great selection on various mediums, brands and areas of interest. Nicely organized and labeled to help you find what you need, and if you cant, someone is happy to offer assistance.The only downside (if you can call it that), is parking. If you arent too familiar with, or know your way around downtown, it gets confusing knowing where you can park without worrying about a ticket.Its worth the drive and parking issues, and youll find it difficult to leave empty handed. Highly recommend.

This is where I go for just about any art product that I need or, since Im in college still, anything my professors want me to get for their classes. Blick is SOOO much better than michaels so if you have the option to order or go to the store I highly recommend. The prices are less than michaels on everything and about half on some. Plus the employees here are always willing to help.

Ive worked with Paul at the Salt Lake City Blick store for a few years now to order art supplies we need for company events, and I cannot say enough good things about the store and Pauls customer service! I came in with a friend she needed some art supplies and I was dumbfounded by everything that they had the staff was incredibly knowledgeable answering all the questions she needed and knew where everything was. Im personally not an artist but I was so shocked at everything that was there. this is not your average craft store this has everything you need if you want to become an artist or are already a professional artist and need supplies they literally have everything. my friend told me that this is one of the only, if not the only store in the Salt Lake area that has everything an artist needs. They have lessons and showcase local artists work. I mean this place was just incredible with everything that they have. I highly recommend that if you have any artistic needs to come here. I dont have the artist hands, mine are too shaky however with how much information that I overheard them telling other people as well as my friend I know that anyone could come here and learn how to be a better artist, myself included. I just love how friendly the staff were how much stuff there was. There is lot in this little store, the isles are small and tall theres so much stuff the prices were very reasonable my friend bought a lot and barely paid anything. its just incredible what this store has to offer. If you have any artistic needs I highly recommend coming to this place.

Its small and a bit cramped, but it is by far the best art store Ive been to. Wonderful selection and very friendly employees. They are always willing to help with finding something or providing an opinion about tools for a project. Having a Utrecht card makes a big difference as well! Its also a fun place to visit, and they have good sales. Much better variety than what you would find at Michaels or Walmart.

The employees were very helpful and patient with my questions. My interactions with them were pleasant and friendly as they helped me find the correct products for my needs. They were courteous enough to help me understand the distinctions between certain products and the usage of each which helped me to make a more appropriate decision on which products to buy.When I need art supplies I will return to the location.

This is a small art place that has the cheapest and the the most excellent art supplies. With a convenient loyalty system that will remember your purchases and help you get the best price. Everyone is so nice and its a great place for student to find what they are looking for.

Great place for students to buy art supplies like pencils, mounting boards, paint, etc. The staff are nice and they also have art classes held on their second floor (Never took one). Their art supplies are a little pricey doe. Overall a good place to buy school supplies if you dont mind spending a little more.

Horrible customer service. I ordered 32 wooden figurines for my art studio. I paid extra to have it shipped on time. They did not arrive on the date that was scheduled. I called to merely have the extra shipping charge refunded, which was a small fee, and they wouldnt even do that! They are money hungry. Never ordering from them again. So much for unwavering commitment to 100% customer satisfaction .

This review is for the online store. They are basically a drop shipper.Product is fine but order fulfilment tracking was a nightmare.None of the staff could locate it since it was dropped shipped.Would have been nice to be notify of that situation prior to ordering. Will just goto my local art supply store.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at Blick. I arrived about 40 minutes before closing either was looking at the different markers I was repeatedly asked what I was doing there .I replied I was shopping for markers and waiting to meet my friends Lindsey Blick employee stated there was something wrong with me. And then proceeded to kick me out of the store stating the store was about to close. While nothing was said to the other 12 customers that was shopping at same time as me. As I was exiting the store the same employee told me to get out of there and said the homeless shelters over there now leave.

When you go to a store like Michaels and look at the art sections....there is always a longing feeling. A feeling that is filled the moment you enter Blick. Prices are great, stock is great and the people artists. My only problem here is not buying brushes. :) every trip i part with money, but i am not mad about it.

Other than it being a little hard to see from the road, its a great art supply store. It was a lot bigger than I expect and one of the employees was extremely helpful in picking out the paints I needed. And make sure you sign up for the rewards card, it price matches with online costs.

Hard to find parking. The sidewalks are not level and have to look up to find the store and fell down. Someone stood there watching and made no effort to help. Will not go back to sugar House again. I will buy art supplies online from now on.

Nice atmosphere, helpful and knowledgeable employees. most other customers dont mind a bit of a chat. the building retains heat well so it gets a bit stuffy in the summer. the place is packed a bit tight so I probably wouldnt want to go in a wheelchair if I could help it.they seem to currently be having issues with new stock shipment not coming in so they were out of the exact item I wanted.

This place packs a lot of merch in a small setting! My son loves his art class upstairs and theres also pottery classes! Theres parking just west around the corner next to a pink sign for an ice cream shop. Be careful of the lot marked for the grocery store, you could get towed!

Lots of variety in a small spot,walking in just gives you the inspiration to do something! Recently I decided to pick up linoleum stamp making kit. Very worth the price! Also the staff is helpful, they were able to give me answers about some of the markers and paints.

Helped me pick out the right set of markers and multi use paper to go with it. Plus, they had a nice sale going and it was before Xmas!

Id never been to this shop before, and I came rushing in the other morning like a whirlwind right as they opened, trying to snag some clear sleeves for prints I was selling that day. The staff were helpful, friendly, and found me exactly what I needed! The girl who helped me at the register suggested that I sign up for their free rewards card, since it might save me some money by giving me the online price for the sleeves rather than the in-store price--it turned out to be a HUGE discount and I was really grateful she suggested it. Blick is definitely my new go-to art supply store--thanks for being great!
