In a word... Awesome! Not something you can generally say about the car-buying experience but everyone at RC Automotive was friendly & professional & made the process painless. I bought the car from 700 miles away based on the website photos, description & few verbal conversations with Taylor. When I arrived to pick the car up it was nicer than the photos & I drove home 10 hours without issue. Taylor (sales) & Tony (finance) were great. No pressure, just super helpful & answered all my questions prior to the purchase. I Would definitely buy there again!

Mixed review... We found the car we wanted and it was a good price. It needed some work done which they said they would get done. The work was jerry-rigged and didnt look good. They said they would touch up the paint on a huge crack in the door and did a poor job with that too. If I wouldve known, I would have done it myself.When I went to pick up the car, it was filthy inside and out and was not detailed as promised. When I pointed that out, they gave me $10 to wash it myself… F for effort.Staff was pretty friendly. Car selection was good.

This place is amazing! I purchased my Honda in July of 2019 and that was a very low key, low pressure experience. The salesman listened to me and what i wanted! That was new to me when purchasing a used car and it was wonderful!Today i picked up my car after being serviced. Thus is not the first time i had it in, my car was not used much in 2020 because of the pandemic so i had some issues with the battery. The service manager, Steve, has been so kind and patient! He listens as well! So professional and respectful and gets the job done well and timely.I am a customer for life. Period.

This is hands down the best service department in Salt Lake City. I had my car diagnosed at the dealer and they told me I needed a new engine. I wanted a second opinion and was referred to Steve by a good friend of mine. I made an appointment and they were able to diagnose the problem and also repair the car the same day I came in. My car has never ran better. If you are in need of an Honest and Fair priced mechanic go see Steve and his crew.

I was traveling through Utah when my BMW broke down. I found RC Automotive online. Their service department came very highly recommended for BMW repairs. I contacted Steve in Service and he said that they are booked 3 weeks out but If I have the vehicle towed in he would look at it right away just to give me an Idea of how long it will take to repair. When I arrived in the tow truck Steve met me outside and started looking at my car right away. He very quickly noticed a hose that I just had replaced at a shop in California was the wrong hose and that it was most likely causing my issue. The master Tech came out and said that he had the hose I needed and could replace it right away.Steve and his crew got me out of the shop in less then an hour. I cannot express how impressed with the level of knowledge and professionalism in this shop. I highly recommend them to anyone that is in need of service on their car.

Very Unprofessional...I spoke with Barry on Saturday inquiring about a vehicle. I live our of state and asked for additional pictures to be sent. Barry stated it was the end of the day and he would get them to me on Monday. Now Monday, no pictures sent. I called and was told I would get them. After several texts, still nothing. I called again and Barrys response now was, I have several people interested in this vehicle. no pictures ever sent. What kind of reply is this? Very unprofessional, dont trust this dealership.

There is definitely a no-pressure buying atmosphere here at RC; they are all friendly and have a nice selection of cars. However, as other reviewers have mentioned, it would be in your best interest to obtain an independent pre-purchase inspection before finalizing the deal. Took the car to another dealership for service a couple months after purchase and found out that it needed over $5k worth of service/repairs. Just do your homework and all will be well.

I bought my car and the warranty here a year ago, not only did I get a great price on my car and have a great experience with everyone here they are still treating me like a brand new customer! It came time use the warranty for my car and they were a great help! The problem ended up being a recall so they couldnt fix it, before calling me back Steve had already arranged to have my car sent to the Volkswagen dealership at no cost to me! They were very efficient, worked with me on the price due to my unfortunate circumstances and run around with other shops to get my aftermarket rims on and went above and beyond to get the parts to their shop and not send me off to someone else! I found what I was looking for. Their ad in ksl classifieds matched what I found there. They didnt oversell it and whitewash the few problems. I hate car salesmen they are almost always lying. I didnt catch one.

They will give you the run around and not follow through. We purchased a used car for our 16 year old son in April. The key to the Volkswagen we purchased wasn’t functioning properly and we were told they would have one ordered for us. After calling and leaving numerous messages NO ONE at the dealership calls us back or can tell us the status of our key. All we get is Jennifer isn’t in or it’s her day off call back. Very poor customer service and wouldn’t trust a word that they say!!!

Terrible customer service my husband and I went last week and bought a truck and the seller told us that he had just arrived and that in 3 days he would have the truck ready for us and it is today that it is not ready yet and they called us to lie that yesterday I would be ready and nothing very bad custumer service

I get service on my little green Kia here. They are absolutely amazing and honest. They have saved me from spending unnecessary money at other auto shops that tried to gouge me. They are all up front and so kind, even having to work with so many difficult people as you can see from some other reviews. I will never go anywhere else and tell everyone I know to come here!

I have had 3 of my cars detailed here. They did an excellent job, in fact I was amazed at the results. JD was even able to get two door-ding dents out on my wifes car. The truly amazing work was on the interior of my kids college car which was trashed. They were able to make it look almost new inside. On my latest visit, they repaired a scratch on one of my wheels, couldnt tell it was there after it was finished Great work and very friendly service all around there. I will be back.

Extremely poor customer service. Paid cash and was treated like I didn’t matter. Had to bring vehicle back a week later because of an issue they assured me was not an issue. They proceeded to try and charge me an additional $500 to fix it. Bought the part for $30 and replaced it in less than 10 minutes. Look elsewhere, don’t get ripped off.

Recently my car was stolen and recovered. My car was returned to me filthy and with obvious signs of drug use. The police told me on scene that the car would need to be professionally detailed to remove any remaining drug residue. RC Automotive had previously done regular maintenance on my car, so I immediately called them and asked if they could help me out. They told me they had helped other people with similar situations and to bring my car down. I drove directly from the police station to RC Automotive where the staff were incredibly kind and reassured me that they would make my car feel like mine again. I told them I wasnt sure if I wanted to keep the car anymore, and they told me they would help me find a new car if I wanted but didnt pressure me one way or another. When I got my car back it looked amazing! They detailed it inside and out and checked things over mechanically to make sure everything was okay. I am incredibly grateful to them for helping me get back into my car!

The 2007 f350 they sold me had tons of issues with the front end. I’ve to spend over $2000 in repairs so far. The salesman Barry told me the truck had been thru their shop and was good to go.

I was really, really pleased with my experience here. The salesperson I worked with, Barry, was friendly, helpful, cute with my kids, and not at all pushy. I was able to find my dream car at an amazing price, and it is in perfect shape (I had verified by Les Schwab before purchase). GET A PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION!! I was looking to buy a m235i xdrive they had on their lot. Car fax was clean and I test drove it and it felt fine. I was infatuated by the car but to be safe I took it to a BMW specialist for a ppi. After getting it back he told me straight up not to spend my own money on this car. It needed about $5000 worth of repairs and had been in some sort of collision that wasn’t listed on the car fax. Check out the car thoroughly before buying because they won’t disclose it to you.

RC Automotive is my favorite dealership! I bought my last car through them and I have had them service it ever since then! They are so great to work with. Carl, the service manager is super honest and helpful when it comes to service. About six months ago I took my car in thinking it needed new brake pads, Carl called me after looking at them and said your brakes still have a few more months in them, we can change them if you would like or you can wear them down a bit more. I have never felt like a dealership was looking out for my best interest before their own before but this is how they always treat me!

I traded in my car that I was never a fan of for a Subaru that I have wanted for a long time. RC automotive made it quick and easy; there was absolutely no pushiness or breathing down our necks. Horrible! Out of state buyers beware! I made a deal over the phone, they assured me car was stock, and in good condition. The gallery looked very good, they even took a photo of the new “tires”. They did give decent value on trade, but were very adamant on how my car better be exactly how I describe. I drove 9 hours. When I arrived they brought the car around, I could hear it from inside. The exhaust had mufflers replaced, and resonators removed. Paint had many flaws, was loud and obnoxious as all heck. The front end had been badly re-painted, chipped front clip. Numerous electrical problems, only 1 new tire, and three different types of tires, too small for rims. Oil leak… list goes on. They look for easy people with no experience to take advantage of. Stay away.

Buying my car from RC Automotive was the easiest purchase I have ever completed. I was looking for a very specific car and RC helped me find several to choose from, made all the contacts for me and took care of the details. My salesman even brought the paperwork to me to sign. When I went to pick up my plates, the technician stopped what he was doing to put them on the car for me before I could even finish the cookie they gave me in the waiting room. They are awesome! Not pleased. Every vehicle I’ve purchased (including out of state like this instance), the dealership has taken care of all paperwork/found out what was required for my specific state, bundled a copy of everything all up, and sent it to my tag office so all I had to do was show up and sign whatever was needed and I would be out the door. That is not the case here (even though I was told it would be). I have been waiting several months for my paperwork to be received by my tag office and nothing ever came. I finally get a hold of this dealership to find out what is going on with my paperwork. They informed me that I need to do all of this myself. So after several hours of phone calling between this dealer, my tag office, and my lien holder trying to find out what exactly I needed to do. This seems ridiculous to me that I had to hunt down and take care of all my own paperwork, when I’m sure I paid extra processing fees for all of this to be done.

I seriously could not appreciate any more the experience I just had with my wife trading in our two vehicles that got us into a 2011 BMW 528i and a 2012 Range Rover Evoque. Both had low miles and mint condition the prices were incredibly fair- especially considering one of our vehicles had negative equity. They made it happen. Kent was an incredible sales guy, very understanding of our situation. Tony in finance made the magic happen, and the owner Chris made the deal work and made it happen. I did not know of this dealership until I googled them today, and Ill never want to deal with anyone else again! 5 stars is not enough. They are honest, classy, and run a first rate operation. After years of mostly bad experiences buying and trading in cars we came to RC Automotive mentally preparing ourselves for the usual battle of wills that comes with once again buying a car. We were surprised and actually blown away with the no stress, friendly and bend over backwards to help attitude we received here. Our salesperson Jennifer never tried to argue or haggle on the price of the car we wanted, she instantly offered a good fair price on our trade and offered a monthly payment far below what we expected to fight for. Chris and his finance office found the best interest rate for us from local Credit Unions, which we prefer to banks, without our having to ask. Karl in Service made sure the new tires we requested were received and installed extremely quickly. We had warning lights that would not go out on the newer car and RC Automotive fixed the problem without question, highly unusual in this industry. We were so used to spending long hours haggling over prices and playing the good guy/bad guy game along with many visits to service in the following weeks to resolve issues with our new cars that we had to fight to get fixed. RC Automotive is a breath of fresh air in a very cutthroat business. Everyone here seems happy, smiles alot and apparently really enjoy what they do. They are true car lovers here and pet lovers too. It was nice to see little doggies running around that we could pet and enjoy. Just driving on the lot you will see they are picky in what cars they sell and all are in amazing condition. They are top notch! I bought a minivan theyd gotten in on trade just when I needed one. It has served us well for over 5 years and when it needs any work I return to them. They do excellent work at a great, fair, price. ( They even reattached the plastic door cover where the pins were broken, for no charge.)

Had great service and shopping experience. Agreed on a price, got the financing needed and set a date to pick of the vehicle. Well I receive a call at 6:30pm the night before I’m making the drive from Idaho to Utah to go pick up my truck saying they sold it. So I take that as some one offered a better price then what I had agreed upon,?and it was sold out from under me. Very very dishonest way to do things if you ask me. Very disrespectful to make a deal just to sell the vehicle out from under you to someone else.

My RC automotive experience was amazing thanks to Brett Duncan. I asked him to find me a rare car and he called me the very next day saying he found it with all the options I was looking for at an amazing price. Everyone at RC Automotive was amazing to work with. While I did get the standard salesman spiel, It didnt persuade me to buy or not but the vehicle. I already knew what I was looking for and was going to see how real on their prices RC Automotive would be. There was an issue with one of the tires having a gash on as well as some other issues with body scraps. They were nothing too serious. To help account for it, RC Automotive worked with me to help secure some tires. The best part was them being able to work with my credit union on financing.I would be inclined to work with them again on buying if they are carrying whatever it is that I am looking to drive next. So expect decent people with subtle salesman tactics.

What a great experience from our salesman Mike, to financing, service, managers, and owners! They were all awesome! Great customer service, friendly, and very attentive to customers needs AND wants. They went above and beyond to make sure we came out where we wanted to be with our trade and got the car we wanted! The owner made sure we had new tires on our car and were ready for winter. We left there feeling good about our purchase! We will never go anywhere else to buy a car or get service done! I dont have a single negative thing to say about this place. They were even friendly to our kids that were running around their shop being naughty at closing time! :) The building is very clean and comfortable. They do what they say they are going to do, and stand by their word! Great company, other car dealerships should take note of RC Automotives practice!

I purchased a car over the Internet/Phone from RC Automotive. Everything was very well done. Because I never saw the car, photos were my friend to see what I was purchasing. The pictures sent we very good an made me feel more confident in my purchase. Because I was out of state (across the country!) it took some time to get the needed paperwork for registering the vehicle. Overall, pretty good buying experience.

RC Automotive was great. I have purchased many cars in my time and this purchase was hands down the best experience I have had. I bought an Audi S4 from Kirk and he was super helpful and answered every question I had. A couple months after the purchase I was due for some service so I called up Carl in service and he gave me a great deal and had my car done in a few hours, which was awesome because I had quite a bit of work completed. Great dealership and service department, I strongly recommend them and will be returning for future cars.

Not a good experience. Went to look at an H2. Tires were rotted. Missing the catalytic converter so wouldnt pass emissions. Had to jump start it. Sales lady said they would not do new tires even though the tread was peeling off the tire. With no catalytic converter it cant even be registered in salt lake county. Pretty much wanted to take the buyer to the cleaners. No safety means dealerships with no real integrity will dump unsafe vehicles on a consumer and say....sorry as is no warranty

It was a pretty painless experience dealing with Barry at RC Automotive. I didnt feel any pressure to buy and he worked with me on a better price. I knew what kind of a vehicle I wanted with the options I wanted and had been shopping around for a long while, and they had what I was looking for. I test drove on a Thursday evening (which they stayed after hours for me and my questions), and went back on Friday afternoon to sign papers and drive off the lot. A good experience.

Our salesman Barry was awesome. My wife and I had some requests about the car we were interested in and he bent over backwards to make them happen. This dealership sold us a vehicle with a branded title without disclosing that information. It has had repeated issues over the last 3 years of ownership. Would not recommend them at all.

It was fun, fair and efficient. The accounting was the quickest I have ever gone through when getting a new or used car. Name was Tony. Also the sales rep was very personable and fun. Made buying a car enjoyable. Name was Nate Gant. They also offered and helped with any needs. I found a couple of scratches and they buffed it for me free of charge. I would definitely go back to them and recommend them.
