Best coffee in the whole state. I’m very picky about my expresso and late being made perfectly. The bean they use is perfectly balanced and the baristas are professionals who love and know coffee intimately. The pastries are also amazing!

This place legit has some of the best coffee Ive ever had and the staff here were extremely nice and welcoming. The pastries were good, everything was great. All around 5 star experience. WILL be coming back.

This morning I was so impressed by the service that the platinum haired woman at the counter provided to a couple of younger folks (possibly teenagers, hard for me to discern anymore). They had multiple questions each about what to order and she was just so kind in answering them without rushing (despite the growing line). I started going to the coffee garden as a teenager and it was a safe and welcoming place for me then. I live in a different neighborhood now and only occasionally visit, but it made me happy to see such a simple, but lovely act of customer service.Also- their scones with the coconut are amazing!

Loved the vibe and the staff were really welcoming:)It was a nice surprise to get a latte with the beautiful latte art! (didn’t even have to ask for it). Also, the breakfast sandwich was tasty! I wish they had WIFI though!

Its hard to describe to you 20 years of nostalgia and good memories associated with this place. Besides the great coffee, pie and pastries it is encapsulated a little in the sign near the register that says we have no WiFi, pretend its 1995, talk to eachother. :)

Pretty good. Right now they have no indoor dining, and you need coins or quarters to use the bathroom, which threw me off. But the olive oil cake I got was really good.

A caffeinated queer haven! Lots of pre-made food items and coffee and tea selections. They had quite a few gluten-free and vegan options, too. Seating available for both the solitary creature and larger parties as well.

This place might have the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. The flavor list is extensive but not overwhelming. I thought it was so good I got it two days in a row while I was visiting Utah. On top of that, the vibes are immaculate. Can’t wait to visit again so I can get another coffee. I’ll be thinking about it in my dreams.

Havent purchased anything as of yet, I walk by them daily to catch the bus. They always have customers who seem really happy. I really love the sense of community. They even offer outside buckets of ice water for the doggies. Coin bathrooms is absolutely brilliant! Thanks so much for being such a vibrant asset to or community!

A decades-long favorite coffeehouse. It is known by virtually everybody in the area. If by chance youre not familiar with the coffee garden, I highly recommend to visit. Its sister shop is called cahoots with access through the coffee garden. between the two youll have a wonderful experience.

Good coffee. Great service. Still kinda miss the old location across the street but I am glad these guys are still around.

This place is always packed with students & friends hanging out. In the summer people bring their dogs & sit outside. Music can be loud sometimes, but not very distracting to me. Their bakery variety is amazing & all sweets they offer are very tasty. Their coffee is great and they have other hot & cold drinks to select from. Do not be surprised if you go & don’t find a seat available specially inside.

One of my favorite local coffee shops and it is in the 9th and 9th fashion district. I love that it is open late and that they provide multiple options for non dairy milks to add to your latte whether it’s a coffee or espresso latte, or a tea latte.Plenty of seating outside and then plenty inside as well. Super fun and they always have yummy baked goods in the counter fountained part!

Lovely vibe, rarely a place to sit inside (cause so many love it) and they serve the best coffee ever--Caffe Ibis. The staff is also super friendly and the building inside is GORGEOUS. I love to visit here!! Dogs have to be leashed on the patio and no pets are allowed inside. There are tables as well as seating for people working/studying alone.Theyre environmentally aware, which I really appreciate, and its so relaxing to sit and drink outside. :)

One of the greatest coffees in Salt Lake City. Have great vibes. I like that they open all week days even Sunday. I had latte with almond croissant. They both were amazing! They also serve different types of tea. There is outdoor sitting, but I would recommend that you go to liberty park just two blocks away.

Love this place every time I roll into SLC. I find it’s tough to find a good coffee shop in Utah so this is a rare find. Honestly most of the time I bring my own coffee, grinder and aeropress. There is much more specialty coffee in the SLC area but if you get outside of that you may as well count on your caffeine withdrawal starting.This time I bought a short Americano. The beans in the hopper were nice and free of oil which is a great side of not over roasting. One of the other hoppers was oily on the other hand, I’m not sure what they used that dark roast for but the non-oily was used for the espresso.The snickerdoodle was great. Fast service. Nice people. Check it out.

I just tried the Coffee Garden for the first time. This is the best coffee I’ve had in SLC, really delicious. Everyone was very friendly. I highly recommend.

A barista, yes must make the drinks timely and efficiently, and customer service is what ensures someone comes back to Coffee Garden.And I encourage you, barista, to smile. This place makes the best Irish cream breves and the fruit tarts are to die for. We visit every time we come to town from Colorado and will continue to do so.

Every dessert I’ve tried here has been top notch. Also prices are reasonable which keeps you coming back!!

This place has the best chocolate croissants in SLC. The coffee however is ok, but not my favorite in town.

Tainted coffee lids, stop with the perfume!Someone in my life frequents coffee garden on 9th and 9th extremely often. Basically daily and multiple times a day. He loves coffee garden and has been purchasing from them for many years. Hes probably spent someones healthy salary on their drinks. I would gladly give this place 5 stars but this year he has been coming home with a complaint that I dont know who to contact to address it. Very nice lady works there but everytime shes at the counter, my good friend is very discouraged because he knows with out fail, his coffee lid is going to smell like perfume. He wont be able to drink much of his drink before just throwing it away. He doesnt want to say anything and get her in trouble but as a service to the public, I feel this needs to be addressed. He has started to go elsewhere. One time he had one of his perfume drinks and telling me his frustrations so I smelled his coffee, it would be inedible for me and he agrees. Please please please stop wearing the perfume for work, it tarnishes the coffee and is losing the business money. We cant be the only ones that this effects. I will update my review, clean slate when the perfume lids stop.

Coffee is good. Nice menu. Went in this morning and got the wrong order and didnt notice until I was home. Fruit tart tastes like chemicals. Got something with almonds instead of the pie I ordered. Since Im allergic to almonds I cant try it. 🙁

Coffee Garden employees are always helpful and polite. I also appreciate their continued safety during the pandemic by maintaining an orderly line, requiring masks, and having no indoor seating. Their outdoor tables are still outside for seating :). Try the chai!

Good thing: I drink a lot of tea and they dont charge by cup size but by tea bags, which is what all coffee shops should do! It doesnt make any sense to charge for more or less water. They have a good variety of teas, too.Sadly, they dont offer WiFi service any more, they could post a sign alerting potential and regular customers.

Came in on a Thurs. The service was friendly and observant. The place has a nice atmosphere. Feels similar to a restaurant in New York I loved.

I always come here! Emmett does a great job and my coffee always tastes perfect! The food is amazing too!

Unfortunately the line at 8:20 on a Wednesday morning was crazy long (10+) and not moving so I had to leave. Hopefully can try this place when they have more staff and it’s not as busy.

Always a great experience. Really great drinks and food, and awesome staff as well. I love their quiche and their skinny chai latte, but really, you cant go wrong. They were also really conscientious about social distancing and sanitization.

I would love to give this a higher rating. The service is great the coffee is great. But there is often nowhere to sit. So obviously they are popular but if you want somewhere quiet or somewhere that you can focus this is not the place to go to. But if youre able to find a seat and meet with people it would be a great place to be. Coffee is well done.

Fun atmosphere but pricey!

I’ve been coming here for at least 15 years and this place still makes the best lattes in the whole valley. If I could give 15/5 stars I would. Their pastries are always fresh and everything is reasonably priced. The blueberry peach scones are my absolute favorite!! 😊

Beautiful cafe. Love all the seating and the options for single and group tables. Great ambiance and even better coffee. Cant go wrong with Caffe Ibis! We also tried the Rose and Pistachio macaroons and they were delightful. We found plenty of parking both in front and back. Will for sure be back!

Best neighborhood coffee shop with in-house, local, and smartly sourced delectables. The savory mushroom and artichoke quiche was perfectly prepared. Situated in the eclectic and hip 9th and 9th area.

First of all, the atmosphere is amazing. Secondly and probably more importantly, they roast Ibis beans.. which is not only locally source, but some of the best coffee beans you get in town. And as a bonus, some of the best pricing for a cup of latte around the area.

They have the best cheddar and thyme biscuits! To die for!

I would recommend to not go here on a Saturday morning at 10 am. Its so busy that there were no free seats. Some guy took pity on us and let us share his table. But beyond that, the coffee was excellent and the banana bread was on par with my mothers recipe. Really, theres nothing wrong with the atmosphere (its actually wonderful when its not quite so crowded and its warm enough to sit outside). My only warning to people is to either not stay there during rush hours and to instead come when its a little quieter, then its a 5 star experience. Also learned that a latte with lavender and cinnamon syrup is surprisingly good.

Excellent choice of delicious treats, sandwiches and salads. Their coffee outranks all others in taste quality and price with clean ambiance great place to meet or work. Excellent selection of fare market coffees and teas from local distributors.

I give it good marks for the quality of the coffee and the variety of offerings for both drinks and food. But poor marks for the consistent lack of seating, and the fact that you often encounter folks who spend hours taking up space with their Macbooks, treating the establishment as a home office, often sprawling out over an entire table. I heard management have addressed this by limiting or removing free WiFi for customers? Sad they had to be driven to do this, but it makes sense if patrons want to abuse the system and prevent other customers from enjoying the establishment. I just haven gone back since the last 5 times where I was unable to even find a seat just for myself thanks to the overwhelming amount of very selfish customers leeching off the WiFi.

I have never had a quiche before but everyone said it was great, and Im pleased to announce they are right. Im excited to come here again and try more items! They have a very broad selection of teas and pastries so this definitely gets a win from me.

What a great discovery! This place came recommended from a friend who lives locally, and wow was she right! Friendly staff, great coffee and food, and really awesome latte art! It IS pretty crowded but it was a Saturday so I’m sure that’s normal. Best place to park is on the street if you can find a space.

If you go to a coffee shop for the wifi, then go to one of the big national chains and enjoy burnt coffee with slow internet. This place has great service, great coffee and a great ambiance. Which is what you want in a cafe.

I go every weekend to have a cup of coffee and a delicious scone. Price and atmosphere is great, staff if friendly and i always have a great experience. Highly recommend

A hidden gem! Not your ordinary coffee joint. The BEST quiche in the valley. I have tried some of the other delicious baked items and have not been disappointed. The place is always busy despite spacious inside and out seating. Grab a table and then hurry and get in line. The service is fast and friendly. Although I live 20 miles away, I always try to get to this place as often as I can.

Really cool coffee shop in sugarhouse. Dont expect to find any seating on weekends as its usually really packed. Lots of people on their laptops doing their school work and other things. So theres a lot of squatters here. Get the coffee to go and go for a walk around sugar house. during the summer they have outdoor seating which helps with the seating situation.

Was here yesterday and had the nicest experience. The Coffee Garden community is a good looking, friendly, educated lot. Food & beverage beyond reproach. Favorite coffee shop by far, yesterday. 😀

Ill stick with Salt Lake Roasting Co. bc Coffee Garden did not instill confidence that they know how to even cold brew coffee.They are a coffee shop, with a patio, in the college part of town, full of students and professionals looking to do caffeinated work, and presumably wanting to replace lost business during COVID on their spacious patio.

May favorite day to day coffee shop. Price is compliant with quality and service is always fast. Excellent place to study or have a coffee talk with someone else. Employees are nice and helpful.
