Avoid this location if customer service is what you are used to. I bought an EGO electric mower from this location. The EGO brand offers the following 30-day warranty on their website if you’re not completely satisfied you can return your product for a full refund...Any product being returned under the 30-day money back guarantee must be returned to the original place of purchase. After using the product for one hour, I could see it was not meeting my expectations. My son an I cleaned it up, wiped it down, meticulously put it back in its original packaging and returned it to the store. Both the manager and the owner said they couldnt return the product since it was used. One of them added we dont rent power equipment, as if I was trying to pull one over on them!I called EGO, they gave me a case number and told me to take it back to ACE for a refund. When I called the store with the case number, they still said they wouldnt return it because it was used. Without using it, Im not sure how I would discover whether-or-not I was completely satisfied.A representative from EGO called the store where the manager told her a fictitious story of a prior purchase date, destroyed packaging, grass in the catcher (there were a few strands stuck to the fabric), debris in the deck (which had actually been wiped out with a towel and was face down in the box, not seen by the employee). She got the impression I had abused the product beyond the terms of the return policy.It appears the EGO return policy is dependent upon a willing, customer-centric retailer, which ACE of Cottonwood is NOT.Nothing against ACE, the Mount Olympus ACE has been great to me for 20 years and has never hassled me about a return or refused to honor a product warranty!

I love my Ace near my home but needed something and thought I would try this store on my way home. Sad they were not helpful when I came in had to find it myself and then they helped. Seem like I was burdening them when I bought something.

This store is run by teenagers who aren’t the most knowledgeable. If buying any equipment try it in store or at another store first if you can. Once used even the slightest your stuck and this store won’t take it back. Would have been nice to know before buying here. I’ll avoid Ace in the future.

This is an awesome hardware store. I will never go to Home Depot or Lowes again. I especially love, (my wallet verifies this) the BBQ section. Grills, tools, accessories, spice blends, etc. Its great.

I’ve always loved the store and this is near my house. But every time I go in they can’t find my account, they don’t really help or know the product... I just called and was forgotten about, I held for ten minutes before I hung up and called back only to be told “oh yeah! Oh yeah we don’t have that” I think the lack of customer care says it all. I’m going back to shopping at home depot.

Ace is convenient! Easy to park, easy to find what youre looking for. Staff is helpful and pretty well trained. If you hate wandering around the giant home stores then Ace is the place for you.

I was helped by Ethan. He was very helpful and made the experience great even though I had originally bought the wrong thing due to my own negligence. Definitely a good place if you need some help doing it right.

I love how close this is to my home. Its easy to shop and they typically have everything the big box stores do. Smaller store means smaller selection but if you just need a quick fix it part then Ace is a much better choice! The staff is always super helpful and happy to assist without me having to go out of my way to find them!!

Staff isnt as helpful as with other locations. Plus, the layout of the store is very unusual, probably due to the strip mall they were fit into.

This place is one of the worst around they have horrible customer service, and always have workers sitting around, this place says hiring I would suggest anything over this place they are the worst

From my perspective, there is good quality in the store, but a little bit expensive compared to other places.

Great selection. When you need just a couple fasteners, this is the ideal store. The big stores are not as nimble when smaller quantities are needed.

I went in to buy some basic nuts and bolts and a few sprinkler heads. I was accused of stealing after I had paid and was apparently banned from the store by the owner. Awful experience, all I wanted was a couple nuts and such.

I love this Ace, I have probably spent 100 hour in their faseners section. They have every bolt you need in grade 8, any thread size and length, and all the nuts and washers for them. This has been an invaluable place in the process of me rebuilding my 78 International Scout II. They have a WAY better selection of bolts and faseners than any of the Big Box hardware stores.The Ace also has a full line of Craftsman tools and sockets. If they are out, or you are needing something a little odd, they will order them for you.In addition the staff is super friendly and helpful.

Stopped in for some supplies for my Traeger. This place has everything you could ever need for smoking meat. Also a nice selection of Yeti gear.

Great to have this store in Cottonwood Heights. They have a great selection and it is much easier to get in and out of if you dont need something only HD or Lowes carries. Huge selection of fasteners, which is usually my draw. Great customer service both times Ive been in.

Went in here to get some super glue or some kind of strong glue to re-attach a rubber suction cup to a hard plastic housing, for my cars dashcam recorder. My wife had pulled it too hard and it came off. Ive had it for two years in my black car. Its never separated in the summer or the winter. So the glue that it came with is really strong. I tried Gorilla glue, which came apart after two days. I then tried another glue that sets fast, but that one failed after one day. I even tried a PVC pipe cementing paste. That one lasted one day as well.When I went into this new Ace store, I was greeted right away and asked if I needed help, just like the other location in the center of Holladay. The employees are extremely helpful, concerned and very knowledgeable. The cashier directed me to an older gentleman who worked there and knew a good amount of information on the types of glue and which one to use. I went all out this time with his help, buying a plastic bonding epoxy glue. Only $7 and it is working fantastic. No better way to give it a good test than the hottest day of the year, 100+ degrees. Ive even adjusted the camera a few times and its holding strong. That employee (wish I got his name) also helped me to the birdseed aisle to look at their selection. Ill definitely be coming back here to buy more home improvement merchandise.You dont get help like this at other stores.

Terrible store employees dont know where anything is or if they have it they will pretty much leave you to hunt the store, owners are horrible, just try to call or talk to them .Do yourself a favor shop somewhere else, otherwise it will be your first stop on your way to Home Depot .
