I called this company because I was told they were knowledgeable about street lighting. The person who came was not knowledgeable. I had to tell him how to fix the problem and he did not have the specific light bulb needed. So, I had to go buy the bulb myself and I had to finish the job. Finally, he arrived at 9:45 am and left at 10:30 am and I was changed for 2 hours of service for a total of $250.

Came out same day on a Holiday and did quick repair. Staff kept me up to date on arrival and Neil did outstanding work. Price was pleasantly reasonable. Thank you so much.

Was looking for an Electrician to install an EV charging station at my home. After contacting many on the list and receiving either a very high quoted estimate or a request for $55 to provide a quote I finally called Central Electric and scheduled an appointment for Mike to come out and give me a bid. He showed up during the scheduled time and was very knowledgeable and was able to help guide me in what was needed. His quote was significantly less then the over the phone quotes.I scheduled an appointment for the next week but asked if they could let me know if they had a cancellation and could fit me in sooner. They called the next day and were able to get me in that afternoon.Neil came out and did the installation. Did a professional job and was able to get it done in a reasonable amount of time. The next day when I first plugged in my vehicle it caused the breaker to break and would not charge the car. I called that afternoon and they immediately requested Neil come back out. He came out after his last call and replaced what was a bad breaker. Its not that the solution didnt work the first time its how they fix the problem. They came out the same day and replaced the bad breaker getting me up and going in the same day. This is good customer service.I would recommend them for any EV charging installation and more.

Received great service from James, Patsy, and Mike. They were efficient, communicative, and charged a reasonable price. On the day of the scheduled service and emergency came up on their end, but they were still able to accomodate and get my job done. Greatly appreciated.

First off, let me start this review by saying that the actual electrician repairs we were serviced were satisfactory. The job provided was done correctly and in a timely manner. Their electricians are experienced and very knowledgeable.However, our reasoning for putting 3 stars was the professionalism of the company.1.The interactions Central Electric electricians had towards our staff was completely unacceptable. One electrician that interacted with our CEO was rude, loud, and ornery the entire time. At one point this particular electrician got in a verbal fight with an onsite contractor. We had many comments from our staff about the behavior of this particular electrician. The only reason we did not ask this electrician to leave is because he would be civil with the CEO when discussing repairs.2.There was a constant lack of communication between our company and the electricians/Central electric office staff as to when they were going to arrive or what work needed to be done. This was incredibly frustrating as we are a secure facility and must have dates and times of when guests arrive.Based on these events we will choose a different company for our future electric needs and repairs.

The aerator in my backyard goldfish pond stopped working. I checked the circuit breaker, but it had not been tripped. I called Central Electric because I had used them on previous occasions for other problems. Ray Gilles came out, immediately diagnosed the problem: a GFI switch had tripped! He reset it and, voila! It worked! My 8 goldfish got a reprieve! But here’s the truly amazing part...when I took out my credit card to pay for his service, he waived the fee!!! True, he diagnosed and fixed the problem with unprecedented efficiency, but how many companies would have done that? Unheard of in this day and age!! Truly an excellent company! Thank you!

I was calling around for Bids for a Tesla Wall Connector. Central Electric was the only Tesla certified installer that would come to the house to Bid. The others asked questions then proceeded to quote me a huge amount of money for an otherwise small job. Mike came out and gave me a fair Bid seeing it didnt require a lot of hours, he was personable and just a cool guy. James came out a week later to install. James was professional and courteous. He went the extra mile to make sure the whole install looked clean. These guys are awesome, so much so I felt they deserved for me to take some time and post it here. Thank you Mike and James, you two are awesome and have won this customer over for future work.

Need immediate help. Ray came out and fixed our outlet. He explained what was happening in terms I could understand. Well recommend and so appreciate them coming out so quickly.

Fair and Reliable: I have used Central Electric many times now to work on my investment properties as well as my personal residence. They have always been professional and on time. Work is done as expected and they are respectful of properties and leave them in the condition they found them in. I will continue to use them.

Had them come and do an install and they messed it up. So why 5 stars? When I called them on it, the owner immediately took responsibility and personally came over to my house to address it. He refunded the cost and then personally re-did the install within 24 hours. He didn’t make any excuses, just owned the mistake and honestly solved the problem. Screw-ups happen, but this guy handled it like a boss instead of trying to shift blame. They earned my future business, despite the initial problem.

Great people, Great work I will be using them in the future. Way lower than other companys with good out put.

Beware of this place! Horrible experience... we were quoted for an hour of work for 100$. They sent an apprentice who capped off a wire for us in 5 minutes. When we asked him to take a look at a couple other things on our property he refused. He left immediately and told us to find a rock to cover the wire. We called the next day to talk to someone about the guy they sent refusing to look at other electrical issues we had in our house, and how we felt that the hour we were billed for was unfair and that we were misled. We were told he only does ground work and he is an apprentice, which is not our fault because we ask for an electrician... We were met with accusations of trying to get out of the bill, they called my wife a horrible person that is trying to use people. In truth all she said is we felt misled and we were hoping to work something else out as we do want to pay for the service they provided. She was very nice and professional to this guy, but he cursed at her and called her names like a child. They also claimed that travel time is included in their hourly rate. I have never heard someone talk to a customer in such a demeaning and unprofessional way in my life! We will pay their bill, but as for all our electrical needs, we will NEVER use this company again!! Please save yourself a headache and possible verbal abuse and take your business somewhere else!

Never been so disappointed! The person that came out completed the task in 5 minutes so we asked if he could look at another light, which he refused to do even though we were being billed for an hour. There was clearly a big misunderstanding when I scheduled my appointment and got pricing. Which happens, thats fine. But when I called to clear it up the supervisor I spoke to, Pete, was so rude and unprofessional. When he didnt agree with my concern he started calling me names and getting very loud. The disrespect was beyond anything Ive experienced. Will never EVER consider working with them again.
