Their employee Jerry is totally incompetent. They don’t care about their jobs nor their customer. We had the worst experience with Carefree homes. It should be named “nothing but problems homes”. Save your self a ton of time and stress and chose another manufactured home dealer.

Me and MINNIE (My Wife) have been in search of a Manufactured home for several years. We looked at almost every manufacture out there!After Searching high and low we FINALLY came across K I T Manufactured Homes and found that Carefree Homes was a Dealer for K I T, and they happen to have the model home we where looking for!First impression of Carefree homes was our typical introduction to most Show Home Lots -- Meet and Greet, and off to look at the Lot Models! We where very impressed with the K I T HOMES, the quality, the looks, the sturdy construction they possessed (inside and out) that we finally made our mind up that KIT HOMES was the house for us.We where greeted by BEN The Sales Guy on our initial visit and was treated very well, he answered all our questions -- Pricing, Build Quality, Insulation Quality, Windows, Doors, Sub-floors, Sheetrock, ect. ect.. You could tell he was very honest and understandable about everything we wanted to know. We explained to him that we would be back after we sold some property in Dallas Texas, and we would be purchasing a home from Carefree in the near future.It finally came to the time to purchase our home that we where going to put in Moab Utah and thats when we met the owner BURKE!He walked us through all the choices and options for our new home, he explained the goods and bads of this that and the other, he was very detailed on every step of the play, as we ordered our custom built home from him. We added several CHANGE OPTIONS to our home and within a few months after ordering our home, and prior to KIT HOMES building it, BURKE would call in and go over our home plans in detail to make sure everything was still on track. Burke stayed in contact with us from START TO FINISH all the way up to the FINAL WALK THROUGH and made 100% sure we where satisfied with everything Carefree Homes had to Offer and Sold to us!When our home was delivered to our property in Moab Utah we found that one of the toilets was shattered and cracked in half upon delivery, BURKE (Owner of Carefree Homes) insisted that we go to Home Depot and purchase whatever toilet we wanted and he would refund us in full. There where also some electrical and major plumbing issues upon delivery of our home and BURKE immediately (ASAP) hired people in our area to fix the problems with no complaints.After our home was completely set up and we where moved in we did our FINAL WALK THROUGH and made our list. We gave it to BURKE and he had a crew of Punch Out Specialists at our home within 10 days time fixing all the issues we found. We had a serious Issue with the exterior window trim falling off and curling up from some type of defect issue, and BURKE had the Manufacture (K I T Homes) warranty the problem and within a month or so a window specialist came to our home and fixed the issues!I cant say enough about BURKE and BEN over at CAREFREE HOMES, they are TOP GUYS with HONEST ATTITUDES and will WORK HARD to make sure you are Happy with your NEW HOME! CareFree Homes was the BEST CHOICE we made and was well worth the wait to deal with such honest guys as BEN AND BURKE! 5 STARS is NOT enough for this company as being EXCELLENT and SATISFACTORY!I can guarantee you that when you Visit CareFree Homes you wont feel intimidated or uneasy. Make sure to talk to Ben and tell him Pete sent ya!

This has honestly been the worst experience and biggest regret of my life! I was so excited to get my new Kit home, but was disgusted with the quality of work. They messed up on so many things. Learn from my mistake and DO NOT PURCHASE A MODULAR OR MANUFACTURED HOME!!!!!!After you pay for the utility hookups, porches, ect, youre into the home much more than you ever dreamed.Its NOT WORTH THE MONEY!They just throw these homes together. The models look much nicer than the actual homes!!!!! DONT DO IT!!!!

For a business that has supposedly been around for more than 30 years it is super suspicious they only have 5 reviews and 2 of them have the last name Blaser, which is the owners last name. I wish I would have read these reviews BEFORE we took the 2 hour drive there. It seems they have started 2 web pages to hid their actual customer reviews. Once you dig around on the internet you can actually get a clearer picture of the problems with this place. My expierence while there: my sales guy was helpful but that is the end of the positives. My complaints are this ... the lack of any specific time line when our house would be done, no willingness to set a firm price, pushing a construction loan through them and the run down unkept look of the whole establishment did not give us enough confidence to feel like the were really a customer service based company. If you dont mind throwing away good money. This is your place.

I have only been able to work with them via email on accounts of distance and Covid-19, so I gave the company the second star for free. I am trying to purchase a modular home to be placed in cedar city made by a manufacturer that Care Free modular and manufactured homes sells.In short, trying to get any information from them about final price, price for options and upgrades, and what is and is not considered an upgrade is like trying to get frozen ketchup out of a bottle. I understand that current pandemic restrictions make commerce very difficult, however, after deciding that CareFree Modular and Manufactured homes didnt want my business and I started looking elsewhere; I have found companies who are willing to adapt and make changes to earn my money.Most importantly, when you work with them, remember; they are more interested in selling loans than they are homes. Once you state that you will be securing finance through a source other than them, you will not be getting a phone call back from them, only email. It is likely that a large reason that information has been so slow and cumbersome with them is because I said I would be securing the money out of house. Also, be prepared for the extra financial hoops they will place in front of you to encourage you to use their financing.It is amazingly frustrating when you are trying to work as fast as possible so a company can get your money (i.e spending days running down contractors to get written quotes to finalize cost breakdown for the bank) and have the company put road blocks in front of you to slow you down and jeopardize your loan i.e not providing specific information needed to give to contractors so they can give you an accurate quote to give to the bank.Shop around, go to the manufactures websites and look for other dealers, the good news is that there are plenty. If a company like carefree modular and manufactured homes doesnt want your money because it wont involve a fat kick back to them from their in house finance company, there are other companies that do.I understand that I came into this situation knowing very little about the process, in all actuality, I still know very little. I thank CareFree modular and manufactured homes for the little information they gave me, but my loan officer is the one who has filled in most of the information gaps for me. I have been busting my hump to run down the information needed to secure the money (which carefree would have gotten a part of) for this home, in return I feel as though I have been put on the back burner and had a lot of obstacles placed in front of me because I wasnt going through them for financing. I am too old and grey for being someones back burner organ grinder.Also, they have another google maps site they use, just do a google search for carefree homes Salt Lake City leave off the modular and manufactured homes. Doing so you will be able to see a lot more reviews for their company. This review page was likely made by them as an effort to hide from their other reviews. That in itself should be a red flag to anyone who wishes to do business with them.**Update**I have taken away the other star from this review on account of Care Free Homes Modular and Manufactured willingness to be dishonest. It was 6 days ago I left my first review and pointed out that they are running this google maps page for their business as well as another. On this page are reviews left by Burke Blaser and his family (5 star of course) which is violation of Google Maps policy. Mr. Blaser has responded to my review on the this page, so he KNOWS about the other google maps page; instead of taking steps to rectify the issue he has left this page up. This shows a blatant willingness to continue the dis-honest and dis-honorable act of maintaining a second google maps page to hide from the reviews of his company. Dis-honor is dis-honor; if this company is comfortable with dis-honor, you should ask yourself how comfortable you are in doing business with them.
