Been here twice & had some fun looking for treasure. It’s literally rows of waist high bins(which are rotated throughout the day & “new” stock rolled out) full of donated items that are on their last chance to be sold via Goodwill. Everything is sold by the pound but don’t let that stop you. There is a kind of method to this type of shopping so be prepared to go with the flow of it. You need a cart to store what you want to buy for the most part, also there is a kind of etiquette to digging in (be polite and not pushy) I highly suggest disposable gloves since I noticed my hands were really grubby afterwards. There are public restrooms available (a luxury these days when in a public place), cold soda for sale, pretty ample parking but be careful to NOT park in the RED MARKED tow away zone because your vehicle can and will be towed. When you checkout your cart contents are rolled onto a scale & you’re charged by the lb (minus the cart weight). I’ve found a few cool items here, including a car roof rack, robot interactive toy, & some trendy bed linens. Each time I spent less than $10 & my stuff was heavy enough to need a cart. The employees are polite & checkout was fast despite a line. Just remember to listen when the employees direct you to move out of the way because if you don’t they can’t bring out the giant carts with fresh stuff. Another tip: absolutely sterilize & wash thoroughly what you buy from warehouse thrifts like this.
I finally had my first goodwill bins experience! What a ride that was! I went early in the morning and honestly didnt really know what to expect so I just watch the other around me. The items are sold by the pound for I think around $1.49 a pound? They switched out the bins while I was there and it was a free for all. There are for sure a lot of resellers here as you could see their cart full. That was a little intimidating because they kind of take over the bins. I waited and went back after they were done. Anyways, I was able to get a few fun things for super cheap so that was exciting! The employees were super friendly and great at their job. Cant wait to go back here!
I decided to stop by this thrift store while running some errands. Im not a big thrifter, but every once in a while I like to check out the thrift stores to see if they have any good items or things I need. This place is basically a big warehouse with giant garbage bins full of items.I believe this is the place that has one of the cheapest prices and that is the main point of this thrift store. Its not for looks or for service, but for the price! I walked around the bins for a little while and I realized you definitely have to DIG through those bins to find something good.Even if this place has little to no service or any sort of dignity, it would help if there were a few easy changes to the place. I found it difficult to locate anything. It would be nice if there could be some paper signs on the garbage bins as to what the bin mostly consists of, like mens clothes or childrens clothes. I also feel like it would be nice if there could be a sort of dignity to the place. It almost felt like people were digging through the trash. It is pretty dimly lit inside the building and there is no sort of welcoming feeling, maybe some color to the place would help make it feel more like an establishment rather than a place of homelessness.I believe this place helps many people with finding things they need for an affordable price and that is awesome! However, some small changes might help the atmosphere of the place and make it seem a bit more inviting.
I really enjoyed shopping at the Goodwill Outlet or as I sometimes call it: The Bins! Of course it isn’t organized well, but mostly clothes are in certain bins and then games and other miscellaneous items are in other bins. It is very inexpensive and even conflated to other outlets, Most have prices closer to $1.99-2.49 per lbs.If you are interested in reselling items, or don’t mind moving quickly/frantically while shopping, I would go in the morning as you get the “best options” since things haven’t been picked through and they switch out the bins pretty often. I just go for fun and usually will go toward the afternoon.I have worn gloves and actually forgot the most recent time I went and I wished I had them because you are touching so many items including lots of undergarments and stained clothes. The items I saw the most of were comforters/sheets/blankets, kids clothes (some were stained, others were in really good condition), 80’s pieces such as blouses with shoulder pads, lots of 2005-2015 pieces like low rise/flare jeans, t shirts, sweaters etc. and then just random things like swimsuits, turtle necks, grandma crew neck sweaters, old patterned tshirts, underwear, pajamas, towels, robes etc.I really like the variety of things and love digging to find some gems, but if you don’t like searching, I wouldn’t suggest it.
This place is a hit or miss. Either a super good finding or not find much at all. Still worth visiting from time to time to have a little adventure digging through bins and find cool stuff. In my opinion this place is better than the thrift stores down in Utah County that over prices second hand items.
I was admittedly not prepared for this experience. We decided to look for a thrift store while we were waiting for a restaurant to open and this was relatively close. We love thrift shopping! As soon as I saw these underwear we bounced. Not our style. Be safe outlet shoppers. It’s gross out there.
RUN DONT WALK TO THIS GOOD WILL OUTLET ASAP!!!I feel like a criminal walking out of this magical place each and every time my husband and I are lucky enough to visit (its become our date night of sorts or just a fun little outing) We have found a plethora of most definitely needed appliances as we just recently moved and had most of ours stolen from our garage. He found a $700 retail Bose sound system. My latest and greatest find whilst treasure hunting have been several kitchen gadgets, brand new sparkly Vans skate shoes, and I make ears for myself and consignment that I graciously borrow from well loved and retired stuffed animals. As stated in the beginning of this review, the prices are UNBEATABLE! I have SO many incredible memories of going to the good will throughout my life and I absolutely adore and applaud your mission in this often seemingly difficult earthly life, its earthly angels like yourselves that bring SO many of us joy through the good natured acts of service you facilitate. In fact... I think I might go ask if we can go again...right.... NOW🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
These are the laziest employees they could have ever hired, brought a whole trailer full of very nice items, not one person offered to help me unload.
I love shopping here. Its always a different experience when you go because you never know what your going to find. The only problem I have is the swap meet people. They are very greedy and hord over the bins like they own them. One day I had to give up on shoes cause a swap meeter had a cart completely full of nothing but shoes. Other than them I love it there
There is a mad frenzy every time they bring out new bins. It is a mad dash to the new stuff. Other than that, found some good items. You pay by weight. Different types of items varies the cost per pound.
Seeing the need for this in slc and you folks doing a great job is very heartwarming, I wish more people could be as selfless
Excellent place to do donations. I appreciate that they sell their goods for very low prices that anyone can afford rather than other places who have lower prices but still out of reach for some people. Nothing beats Goodwill. When you donate they also provide a 20% coupon for someone who comes in to shop.
Always find good things for me & family. Staff is always courteous
I was really impressed with the place. You going to drop off your stuff they sorted out and people can help sore and look for what they are planning to buy.
I love it besides its so hot need AC
Bins and bins where to begin and end! Goods galore youll keep finding more and more. Youll want to take your time at this store.
Well if youre willing to submit yourself to Black Friday like Vibes a couple times a day this place is for you. Honestly though if youre a thrifter, a picker or a hipster looking to resell then this is your Shangri-La. They charge by weight so make sure to throw back those Hefty items you really dont need. Also remember that blankets and towels and such are cheaper by themselves then in your cart. Ready set go! Go rummage through a bunch of questionable items to find probably two or three Diamonds in the Rough.
The cashier was unhelpful and rude. He told me to put my entire cart’s contents on the scale (which amounted to 30+ pounds) and turned around to talk to his coworker as I was struggling to fit everything I was buying on the scale. I tried to tell him it was not all fitting in one pile and we would need to split it up but he either ignored me- or because he was talking to his coworker and not paying attention- he did nothing to help. My pile was falling down and it took me a very long time to check out because I had to pick things up as they fell and fit them into a very top heavy pile. I was embarrassed as this process held up the already long line. Everyone was watching me. I was unsure if the cashier was done weighing the items or if he was intending on helping get the items back in the cart as he momentarily stopped talking to the other cashier and looked at me for a few moments. Finally he said “do you want some bags?” He handed me two bags and turned around to carry on a conversation with the other employee completely ignoring me as I proceeded to bag my items at the register. He did not say whether he was done weighing, if he was ready for more items, or what he needed from me to continue the process of checking out so I could smoothly pay for my items and leave.I will not be returning. I am always very respectful and friendly when I enter this store, I am pretty upset this is how I am treated in return.
I just went to see what they had. But I did notice people who may have came from homeless camps. This a good place to go for those who are down on their luck.
This experience left me physically assaulted, anxious, unsafe, and disregarded.I began looking through the books, taking my time, when in the middle of me browsing an employee comes out and tells me to move so he can take the large totes away. I found out soon he was replacing them with totes that were full of more books. Okay, fine. As the employees were bringing the next totes out I noticed three men standing behind me with empty carts. At the time I did not think much of it, I assumed they were just waiting to look at the books too. I was correct in my assumption, but I soon realized that they did not wish to look at the books, they wanted to grab every book in sight in such an aggressive fashion that I stood staring in awe. Each time I went to grab a book to look at it, one of the men stormed over me and grabbed it, flinging it into his cart without looking at me nor the book. It actually began to make me anxious, I could not even look at a single book as these three men seemed to be working a system and moving so rapidly through the six massive totes of books that they looked like animals. It was as if it was Black Friday morning and they were ready to kill. And I knew what they were doing. It was very clear; they were grabbing as many books as possible so that they could resell them. Now, I would not leave a bad review for a company based on how their customers act. But this is where it became an issue. At one point I tried to go to one of the totes that none of the three men were hovering over. I had been there barely a minute when one of the men came up next to me and shoved me aside, again grabbing the books I was looking at. Mind you, I am a 5 ft 3 small statured woman and this man literally, physically shoved me. I looked around and nobody did anything, let alone the other two men that were hoarding all the books too. I think it is important to note in todays society, that I am not a feminist. I am not a man hater nor am I trying to start anything. I tend to let most stuff go pretty quickly. This however was completely wrong and unacceptable.I asked the man firmly, What are you guys doing? He looked at me like I was stupid, Grabbing books.I replied, I am trying to look too...He looked me straight in the eyes and said shortly and rudely, Were grabbing books.I stood back, stunned. I watched as these men disregarded and ignored everyone around them, filling cart after cart with books they would never read, willing to physically shove anyone in their way.I decided to tell an employee, because frankly, the way they were treating me and probably others at different times, made it extremely unfair to the rest of us. I went up to a cashier and told him what happened as I pointed the men out.The cashier said, Oh yeah those guys are in here all the time. They buy books and then resell them.Yes, that was obvious. But I repeated that one of them had physically assaulted me and that all three were being so aggressive that nobody else was able to browse at all.The man shrugged at me.Thats it.He did not apologize. He did not talk to the three men. He did not say a word.He just shrugged at me.I stood dumbfounded that the safety of a woman was ignored and these three men (who are clearly regulars, which means they do this frequently and probably treat other customers the same way they treated me) was a bigger priority to this Goodwill. It appears that these men buy so many books all the time that they were given the higher respect.I had two books in my hand that I had found when I first arrived. I set them down and walked out. I had been assaulted, which has never happened to me before in public, and no one said or did a thing. I felt anxious and unsafe. It was wrong.I will never shop here again. And this did not happen because I was at an outlet store, where I know things can get crazy. No, this happened because Goodwill has enabled these three male regulars to do what they are doing and standing up did nothing but show me that I did not matter to the company.Future shoppers, beware.
If you have the time and dont mind digging through piles of clothes etc, you can find some great deals
Was kind of dirty and not a very pleasant experience but there were so many cute things i found!! i would recommend going there but make sure you bring gloves! also great pricing, i found one of my favorite sweaters at this outlet!!
Fun ! Found a few neAt things
Holly cow, talk about a crazy store. Lots of people going through everything and just making a mess of everything. One thing is for sure, its hard to beat the deals. You just have to search through the stuff.
Just Bought a motorcycle helmet and 3 golf clubs for $8 and sold them to the pawn shop for $40
It was great, buy clothes by the pound, a bit of a dirty place but very good deals
Dropped off donatio s. The workers were friendly.
Friendly place. Good service. I donated several boxes of stuff.
If you like the thrill of thrifting, this is the place for you. I found three pairs of jeans: 2 American Eagle and 1 Juicy Couture. Fabulous !!!! $1.69 a pound.
Good luck trying to donate here, no employees to be found.
If thrift shopping is all about the thrill of the hunt, then this is the store for you! It is AMAZING! I went on a girls day with my aunts, and we filled two HEAPING carts. The total only came to about $50. There are some really good quality items, you just have to be willing to look. They change bins out pretty frequently, so theres fresh stuff to look at. We made out with practically new items, in brands such as: Woolrich, Free Country, Nike, Calvin Klein, etc... WILL be going again, and often. No doubt about it.
Great prices, very crowded. Not my thing to dig through tons of stuff (I like more organized shops, but I get the concept), my wife and daughter did find some treasures.
If you like to treasure hunt this is the place to go!
This place is chaotic. Be prepared to dig for treasure.
Super awesome! Always find great things
Its great but in the summer time it gets way too hot theres no air conditioning and now with the masks its too much and they have ONE fan in the whole place for cashiers, after about an hour its smells RANK with all the people sweating in 110 degree heat and woth a mask on gopd luck breathing at all!
I effing love this place! I literally just got 5 HUUUUUGE bags full of clothes, purses, shoes, and other miscellaneous items that I have been looking at online for only $36.08. If I were to buy all the things I just got online, I can guarantee you that I would have paid WELL OVER $500. At the very least. Even I thought that the guy working the cash register made a mistake for a couple minutes. Because since they price everything by the pound, and I had quite a few purses and pairs of shoes that weighed a lot more than usual, I thought that may e he forgot to weigh my cart and just charged me for the food and books on the counter, but nope... Everything weighed out to the price of $36.08. I just got a huge wardrobe for so so so cheap. I love it! 😊 And most of the clothes I got still had their original tags on them and were completely brand new. J give it 5 stars. No doubt! If you are a bargain shopper and a shopaholic like I am, and you are okay with buying second hand, but would recommend The Good Will Outlet. So satisfied right now. Now if youll excuse me, Im going to go spread out all my new clothes on my bed, and go roll around in them like they are money. 😄 Good day to you.
Love this place, can be pretty crowded and crazy but addicting!
This is a great place to shop. You do have to pilfer through lots of clothes, but it is not difficult, the trays of goodies are raised and are pretty shallow so theres not a lot of stooping needed. From my understanding these are items are Goodwill rejects in that they didnt sell in the store. The tag are made up, you pay via the pound. They also have some furniture here too though Im unsure of pricing for that.
Not a good place to be with coronavirus.. yikes
Smaller outlet store than others I’ve been to in Oregon, Washington, Colorado. However, by far the cleanest and most organized Goodwill Outlet I have ever been to in my life. Those who know how these places will understand. Well worth a visit.
For my first time shopping at this location it wasnt bad😊
During my treasure hunt today at Goodwill Outlet I found 2 pair Carhartt jeans for my loving husband. One fleece lined. A Lucky brand T shirt, 3 sweater dressee. Christopher and Banks & Old Navy. And several other pieces all look brand new. Plus a Shark Cordless vacuum charged and good suction. Hey Im happy! This is a very clean store and the staff were helpful and courteous. Love buying by the pound. We will be back.
They have a very unique way of a shopping experience
It was super clean and well organized! Way better than some of the other outlets I have been to. It is also a nice touch that they have bags since a lot of other Goodwill outlets dont. I definitely will be coming back 🙂
Great alternative to Deseret Industries!
Everything is kind of jumbled on tables so you have to dig to find the good stuff. But if you have the time and the patience its an awesome place. I got $39 worth of clothes for $6. You pay by the pound so its a great value.
Good place, its like a speed run thrift store.
Takes time and patience to find the good stuff. Everything is sold by pound so it’s super affordable. Best thrift store I’ve been to.
If you like treasure hunting and archeology, this is the place for you. Plan on spending some time digging and dont go looking for anything specific, lol. I love this place, my kids and I go all the time and always come out with something good.
I was kind of disappointed to see that everything was just all piled up in bin tubs instead of being on shelves or being hung up on clothes rack but they do weigh the things you buy, by how much it all weighs.
5 stars relative to thrift shops in the area, 3 stars relative to other Goodwill Outlets. The Hillsboro, OR Goodwill Outlet is the mark to hit. This outlet is pretty small in comparison, but larger than the Las Vegas outlet. Im a treasure hunter, so size of heaps to dig through is a factor. Ill still drive an hour every couple weeks to visit this store because it beats the competing Deseret Industries stores by leaps and bounds.
Great place to buy clothes by the pound. Super cheap and can find some good items. For a diy target cheapest place to find items to fill it.
Great place to get cheap items by the pound.
Too hot in this store!! Paying by the pound sounds like a bargain but it adds up quickly. Sometimes it doesnt seem like a bargain.
Best. People. Ever❤
Amazing! 89 dollars for 60lbs.
Found some good buys. Weird that you pay by the pound. Will go back though!
I understand this is a “nonprofit” store but dang I was not impressed at all. The staff was incredibly rude and bossy. It’s not worth the drive or the time to go regardless of the deals.
After spending 2 hours looking through alot of thing I ended up getting very few itemsThey say they charge by the pound but I think its very misleading or the sales man didnt know what he was doing. I was charged separately for alot of my items even some of the clothing then they weighed the, 3 items of clothing after ringing everything else upWhen theres a big t.v monitor that say all sales are by the pound . I didnt think about it till I got home so I added everything up and weighed what i boughtThey over charged me $7 I will be taking my receipt and items back with me and see if they will fix it
Very very very nice people good pricing lots and lots of stuff I suggest everybody goes there at least once and you make up your mind whether to return Ill be going back
I wouldnt go out of my way to shop here ... The employees are extremely nice
This outlet store you go through large bins of clothes and stuff thay sale it by the pound or weight thay have some great stuff some still have the tags on them new and used you just have to go through them lots of name brands
Great place, outlet means it chatges per pound instead of item.Up to 24lbs for 1.99 lbsUp to 30lbs for 2.99 lbsUp to 45 lbs for 3.99 lbs50+ is 5.99 lbs
Was not impressed at all. Was not greeted at the store. And it was mainly just clothes that looked as if they had been rejected from the other Goodwill stores. Alot of the O the products like suite cases and electronics were broken and not worth anything. I will stick to the DI. Just wasnt for me, sorry.
Best most polite Goodwill outlet Ive ever been to.
Terrible shopping experience. The selection wasn’t that great
When is this place going to open back up staff shortage 2 weeks
There are good deals to be found but it may take a lot of searching
My dreams have come true. Finally a shop by the pound I love this place . Good staff and they alawys have smiles they also keep up on the bin changes .
Great place. Love shopping here
End of the line merch that is about to go to the dump. Only if you truly love diving for the unfound treasure will the outlet be of any excitement or value.
Big store and many people in. Good selection.
90 % clothes. Everything is all mixed together. Mostly junk. Wont go there again.
Interesting shopping. All sold by the pound!
If you dont get here RIGHT at open, youre gonna be SOL on both parking and a shopping cart. I usually end up having to wait 30 minutes for a cart to free up.
Used items sold here. You need to spend time here.
Like any other Goodwill Outlet but its a little out of the way
Low prices, last stop for merchandise before going in the trash
It was AWESOME ☆☆☆☆~☆☆
It smells bad in there
Love this place
Go there!
It stunk and was gross
Awesome!
There is a maitra who has many preferences as she sells things to people she knows, she reads, takes the best things to the carts that one walks to buy.
Miu good place, and great price
A good place to follow things at a great price
