Its a Indian grocery store with almost everything (For Indian cooking) available. Can be a bit more organised and can have a staff helper or two in isles to help sometimes.Being a little more clean and hygienic will add a lot of value to the outlet.
Its gotten better stocked from previous years. Its too pricey compared to the other Indian stores.
Added this as an answer to question from the owner: I went there on Tuesday 7th Sept. Anyway, you didnt answer about unhygienic practice of forcing to put items on black belt. Its just waste of time and people are forced to bag more and use more plastics too. Also, there is never any managers or owners who are could help with.-----------I wish they have some competition as experience varies day by day and it doesnt get better but worst. The most unhygienic rule they enforce upon customer is to empty items and put them on black belt that touches all sort of things and its cross contamination prone. Why cant we keep the items in shopping basket instead of dumping on dirty black belt? And anyway, employees move those baskets in front of checkout counters regardless. The Safeway and other stores dont force anything upon us. When I objected rude checkout Clark stated that I should shop elsewhere. I am sure owners must wonder how to react with this idiotic suggestion? There is never any manager or owner present who could help me.I have decided to go there only and absolutely, I must need something in hurry otherwise take my business to Mayuri and Swagath in Redmond. I am sure they would be happy to get weekly $50 or more of my groceries bill.---
Today we went shopping to this place. We were disappointed not with just the empty shelves, even the old products..., The jaggery stacked up had already gone bad with white fungi / mold growing on them. The veggies especially tomato are squishy, and expensive in comparison with the better quality at Fred Meyer or QFC. I can understand expensive if its Specific to to Indian veggies.Whats with the non display of price tags?
Apna Bazar Sammamish has unethical practices and a terrible staff: I bought a packet of Parle G from this store that I just grabbed and added to my cart. When I came home I found the packet was sealed with a tape and the plastic covering of the biscuits inside was broken. We decided to return the packet not much concern for the money but to highlight they are knowingly selling defective merchandise. When my wife tried to return the product with the receipt, the lady at the counter was very rude to her. She counter questioned my wife, what Apna Bazar store did you buy, how long ago, why have you not checked the packet before buying and then added they dont accept returns due to COVID-19, and she also said why dont you put it in your dustbin. Well, the receipt has all the info she needed and to her questions and to the question- why we had not checked the packet before buying - we trust the store we buy from to sell us non-defective, unadulterated and authentic merchandise!!Yes, Im reacting and being judgemental and hope the rest of the staff is not like this lady and that the store owner will take note of this incident and appropriate action.Photo of the person whom my wife talked to and the packet attached with review.
Really a well stocked grocery with beautiful Indian foods. Lovely produce. Staff seems very friendly!
A very good store for items that indians need and are used to. I felt that some of the products are even cheaper than the online stores that I am used to. I have made it a habit to visit the stores weekly once. Staff are courteous and helpful
Needs better organized system.----Reply to comment --Shelves are not properly organized, specially in Spices & Beans s asile. All brands are mixed up.Price tag of some items on shelf are missing.
While I like that they have a good stock of things, the smell is unbearable at times. No I am not talking about smell of Indian spices. It’s almost a stink.
Good shop for Indian grocery.you will find all Indian things in this one place.
The heat-&-eat meals are different than anything you can get elsewhere (e.g. more variety than Tasty Bite from mainstream grocery store) and the staff is lovely. Great variety and selection of frozen items & fresh produce alike.
Its a good store to for getting indian food items. It is nicely stocked up most of the time.
Price tag on shelf is always lower than when the item is scanned when you pay. When you ask, they always give various reasons and you end up paying more. Unethical business practices!
Awful experience today. Overcrowded with shoppers not maintaining social distance. Not enough checkout folks and long waiting lines for cashiers. When my turn came for checkout, the machine stopped working. Had to switch lanes and wait another 10 mins. I mentioned to lady at checkout that there are too many people. Lady says, yes we were expecting more people due to sale and Diwali. Management is to blame here for not resourcing properly and for not following COVID guidelines.
Indian market but wish would replenish inventory like the one at Bellevue
Awesome grocery store for Indian grocery items. They have huge varieties.
It was fine. All the staff are nice and helpful!
Nice place to enjoy your weekend with family and friends, great place to shop your groceries and all too
You get all Indian stuff!
Very convenient for south asian indian community in Sammamish and Issaquah. Carry good variety and selection of items like spices, snacks and vegetables. Vegetable quality not always up to the mark. Sometime it is not fresh and usually we get better vegetables at their competitors stores.Online order runs with delivery charge and the high price limit for free delivery could be lowered.
Good place for groceries esp the Indian ones. Good range of vegetables, provisions, snacks & cosmetics. Some items do not carry the expiry/use before date. It is ones choice to buy these or not.
Pretty good grocery store. Had all the Indian spices one could ever need. Theres only one thing that made me flock a star. That its that I would like the place to be a little more modernized. Dont get me wrong, it is a great place to shop, but i think they should renovate the place. But, that is just my opinion. But still, great place to shop.
Always have fresh produce of Indian vegetables and wide variety of lentils and other supplies for authentic indian food. They also offer home delivery option and discounts on bulk purchases.
Worst service. People here at the counter does not know how to talk to the customers.I had issue with safety valve of prestige pressure cooker. I call’d in to the store to check if they have safety valve. Lady at the counter said yes and I came to the store to purchase it. I came in ask for valve and asked lady if she can fix it. She said I am not sure I will try. Safety valves are not accessible to the customers, I did not find it in Aile 7, lady at the counter helped to find it and she picked up from the very bottom shelf. How can any customer see it if it is very bottom and behind the shelf? She took it out and billed it and after billing she opened the cover to fix it..later she found the valve which they have is old model pressure cooker one not for new model. And so I asked her to return it. She said how can I return after opening the cover. I tried to explain in a nice tone, mam, you opened it and I don’t know the model which you have. How am I responsible to pay. She went on arguing with me and the owner.. this sounded ridiculous to me and super annoyed. I just left the store not even taking the safety valve. And this all happened for just $3. What a waste of time.No way I recommend this store to any one. The worst experience so far. I wish to give zero star if I can.
Best place to buy Indian Grocery and fresh produce, near Sammamaish and Issaquah locations.. great deals if you spend more than $50 or $100 . Friendly staff
Friendly staff, good produce at good prices. Love shopping at Apna Bazar
Great selection of indian spices. Clean store.
Detailed review hereLike it if you find it informativeGreat place for goods esp the Indian ones. Great scope of vegetables, arrangements, snacks and beautifying agents. A few things dont convey the expiry/use before date. It is ones decision to purchase these or not.Continuously have new produce of Indian vegetables and wide assortment of lentils and different supplies for bona fide Indian nourishment. They likewise offer home conveyance alternative and limits on mass buys.Watch out for lapsed things be it arranged/solidified nourishments or tidbits.Wish the racks and items were increasingly sorted out however astounding assortment of nourishment and flavors. Staff are extremely useful thus well disposed. There are some broad Ayurveda drugs likewise that have been as of late included. For the most part, we dont need to visit different stores for Indian basic food item. Pleasantly laid Indian goods, grains, staple, prepared to cook solidified and other stuffed suppers, Indian vegetables, particularly Indian mangoes (expensive however!). Great assistance and staff. You can purchase the greater part of the Indian items here. They have a few items from Pakistan as well. I generally go there for flavors, tea, and solidified stuff. My solitary concern is music, it doesnt generally should be as boisterous as it may be.Like it if you find it informative
Great place. Neat and clean. Consistent service and nice staff ✅
Beware of the mistakes at checkout. This guy charged for things we didnt buy (charged for 4 when I only had 3). When I flagged it, he pretended to fix it but didnt. I checked receipt again on the way out to find out he didnt fix anything. Went back in right away to ask for credit and he pretended to be on the phone and ignored me even I loudly called out his mistake. Other folks at checkout seemed to be helpful.
Watch out for expired items be it prepared/frozen foods or snacks. Out of the 4 snacks we bought we found 3 were past the sell by date by weeks. Fortunately we checked just as we were being billed and asked them to destroy it but they did not. They went and put it back on the shelf. These guys should be criminally indicted for selling expired spoilt food. The folks at the register are rude especially the bald guy. And they make a big fuss if you do not have exact change - typical shopkeeper behavior in India when they refuse to give you change.Update:9/4/2020We bought Vijaya Foods Chakali - the product was old, smelt and tasted stale. Plus the chakali was made in refried oil and one could feel its bitter rotten taste. Do NOT buy Indian Snacks from these Indian stores. There are plenty of easy to make fun recipes which are better healthwise, tasty and saves plenty of money. Shopping in these Indian stores is like flying Air-India.
Wish the shelves and products were more organized but fabulous variety of food and spices. Staff are really helpful and so friendly
Nice place to find almost all kinds of Indian groceries.
Good Location for Indian Grocery, but items like Fresh Aloe Vera and Gingelly Oil can be included..
I would give this store zero stars if I could. My mother was yelled at because she asked where the sugar was just twice. The person working said “I have better things to do”. Horrible.
Awesome i got everything here including Indian sweets
Terrific shopping experience. They have everything you need, are well-staffed, have easy to access locations, and are friendly.
Most of the edible items are old, damped and literally rotten.
Been going there for Indian groceries since they opened. Helpful staff and good selection
You can buy most of the indian products here. They have some products from Pakistan too. I mostly go there for spices, tea, and frozen stuff. My only concern is music, it doesnt always need to be as loud as it is.
Convenient place for household needs. The prices are pocket friendly and the people here are dope as hell!
All Indian grocery related stuff is available. There are some general ayurvedic medicines also that have been recently added. Generally we dont have to visit other stores for Indian grocery.
We have had spoiled coconuts multiple times from buying here. We will no longer buy them or stop at this store unless absolutely needed for packaged food.
Crowded yet more choices.
A nice historical building in Bainbridge island wa (this comment was for building in Bloedel reserve) however Apna Bazaar is like most other Desi stores who dont like to put price label on most of the goods and leave expired material to get advantage of quick shoppers
Good place in sammammish to get Indian groceries at reasonable price
Nicely laid Indian groceries, grains, foodstuff, ready to cook frozen and other packed meals, Indian vegetables, especially Indian mangoes(pricey though!). Good service and staff.
Cool variety of Indian ethnic food.
We love each item, staff is very helpful and friendly.
The place where rice and flour etc are stored can be better organised.
Needs more stocks of Indian grocery, overall clean place, checking out was fast.
Rude behaviour.I entered in to shop after seeing open sign. The man inside told me to go out and wait 5 more minuites and come back since they are clearing some thing inside.I decided to not going back to that store in future.
Fresh vegetables and Indian groceries! Only one at Sammamish.
Located conveniently close to the 228thave, only Indian grocery store in sammamish.
Dont get most of the things needed. Could be used as an emergency stop to avoid going to Bellevue
