Proceed at your own risk. Jeff may be very nice, genuine & likable and its one of the reasons I approached him, but hes got many incompetent mechanics working for him. I used his services twice and paid over 1300$ dollars for my car to be worked on. I wont be going there again. Heres a summary of my experience:1. He fixed an issue with my defective gas pump sensor that did not let me fuel my car, however he refueled the car with low-octane gas when specifically the manual and the car requirements state that it needs a high octane gas. When I brought this up with him, he brushed it off and claimed its fine and doesnt matter.2. After the first service I noticed the car would overheat for a few miles and then get back to normal. This was a new condition. I found no leaks and no other issue. When I took it back to him, he kept the car for 3 days to return it back with the wrong coolant filled in and missing screws at several parts under the hood (see attached picture). This lead to a disastrous situation just a day after I got my car from him, coolant spluttering all over the freeway and my tubes disconnected and burnt.These are auto shop mechanic 101 principles. If your mechanic cannot even supply the right fuel or coolant or tighten screws back in place it is not only the wrong place to go but will add several hundred dollars to your eventual repairs. Geoff has always been accommodating, very knowledgeable, excellent at communicating, explaining issues found, and suggesting options to minimize cost and effort to me. Have been going to get service done for years, always an excellent experience.

They had our car for over 30 hours. We dropped our car off at 8am for an alignment. Called the first day close to closing, they said they were too busy to get to it. (Understandable, Covid) Called the second day at 3pm (2 hours before closing) and they were incredibly fishy over the phone. Told us that our car was shaking and needed new brakes, then said they havent driven our car yet but they could to check the alignment. (How did they just know about the car shaking if they didnt test drive it yet, to be clear our car didnt shake) We asked how long that would take and they quoted another couple hours. Which meant it would have to roll over to a 3rd day of having our car. We said we just wanted to pick up our car and for them to not fix anything. They were not happy about that and let us know their annoyance over the phone. We took our car to Les Schwab the next day, it was fixed and ready in 4 hours!

Really pleased with the service I received. While they couldnt find exactly what is causing the noise they did assure me it isnt a safety issue, thought it was an axle issue. They were able to fix the shaking on my brakes. And being that I work in the shopping center it is very convenient.

Excellent service that exceeded my expectations. There was no wait to bring my vehicle in, and even though the initial diagnostics indicated an alternator failure, they discovered that it was only a belt issue that cost us a lot less than replacing the alternator. They were honest, efficient, and much better priced than the vehicles dealership. Ill definitely use Plateau Motors again. Thanks, guys!!

Great shop on the Sammamish Plateau located at 228th Ave & NE Inglewood Hill Rd behind Mercury’s Coffee. Geoff and his staff have been around for years and are true professionals of their craft. With this shop located on the Plateau, there is no reason to drop down into Redmond or Issaquah. If you are going to wait for your repair, there is plenty of shopping nearby as well as coffee shops. I recently had an oil change and wipers replaced. Geoff is a straight shooter and didn’t try to upsell me on anything the car didn’t need. Ive been very happy with them. but when you leave you dont you dont get the documentation.I had tires installed with a 70k wear warranty but I have no documentation.I had a transmission installed, there was no documentation for me to put my glove box about the $6,000 installation that I had performed.the competence and expertise of the mechanics is high. but when I leave the shop I want to have paper copies of warranty information for things like transmission and tires so that I can have them for my records

Paid an expensive fee for an inspection that I now believe they didnt actually do. I was told nothing was wrong with my car for about $140. I find out a month later that both belts need to be replaced, all four tires were very worn, and my shocks really needed to be worked on like I told them due to increased vibration. Go elsewhere.

Excellent, reliable work. They just repaired my car and at about 1/2 the cost estimate from the dealer. They also provided additional checks and went so far to notice I didnt have my oil change sticker in my car to verify it was current. Have been taking cars/truck there for last 5 years. Find Geoff to be very honest and trustworthy. Usually provides options when doing the work depending on what is more important (price vs. best for car long-term) and what trade-off may be to selecting one vs the other.

Technicians and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Had my vehicle towed to the shop and was ready the next hour. The level of their professionalism remain unmatched!

I had a broken bolt, which was tough to get it out. Two mechanics looked at it and gave up. Geoff and his team were able to get it out. The Towing company I used knew Geoff, and they told me he was a very honest person. It was my first experience with the shop, and I felt the same. He was upfront and charged me only for the time it took him.

Great service. Brought my car in with a blown transmission. They replaced the transmission and fixed a part for oil that he didnt charge me for. Jeff is a great person to work with. The shifter when I first picked it up the car wasnt set right, but after I pointed it out, Jeff had no hesitations in admitting wrong, took responsibility for it, and didnt want to let me go without me being 100% happy with the job. 100% recommend this place. Most honest mechanic I have ever dealt with.

Great service! Took the car in with no upfront appointment for a leaking coolant issue and Geoff and his team took care of the problem with no upselling and straight up advice. The water pump needed to be replaced. The car feels and runs so much better. He appeared very knowledgeable about intricate details of makes and models and was aware that Audi SUVs manufactured between 2010-2013 have an issue with overconsumption of engine oil after they reach a certain age. He made great suggestions to deal with this annoying issue. He didnt share but I could see he had topped off fluids and made is more roadworthy than the car needed post repair. Loud shout out to Plateau Motors and two thumbs up for a reliable and no-nonsense auto repair shop in Sammamish.

I took my BMW 2010 X5 48i to do Brake Job. Geoff charged me $234.56 for front brake pad, $292.06 for front rotors & $ 252.20 for rear brake pad, $275.76 for rear rotors. After repair, he refused to give me the copy of part receipt with stupid excuse, then I found he charged me at least $150 more on the parts ( if he used BMW genuine parts like he claims,which I will find out soon ). I gave him permission to fix it at 3 PM, and picked up car at 5 PM. Even if I assume he had BMW genuine parts at 3 PM ( highly doubt it !), for 2 hour labor, he charged me $468 . When I turn to leave the store, saw the wall has slogan written Integrity, Excellence, and Value ! ... Shame on You !Please ignore bogus reviews ( these not detailed review usually done by friends & relatives) and only pay attention to detail reviews....

They were fast, friendly, and did a quality job. They are a local owned company and I really liked working with them. Thanks for fixing my car. They seem to do any repairs. I got my water pump replaced, air box replaced, motor mount replaced and belts replaced in a day.

One of the most important things to me about an auto repair shop is that they be trustworthy. I’ve tried several shops on the Eastside, and the one I trust most and will keep coming back to is Plateau Motors. I can’t tell you how many hundreds of dollars Geoff has saved us by being honest about what work actually needed to be done and what could wait, while other shops were just piling on the list of work that was “urgent”. He’s also helped us avoid very costly mistakes in used car purchases with inspections before we bought used cars. He keeps up to date on the latest advances in automotive repair. The shop and waiting area are clean and comfortable. He takes time to explain work that needs to be performed and even shows me parts that he has had to replace to demonstrate why it needed to be done. I would recommend Plateau Motors to anyone and I will continue to return to them for all of my automotive repair needs.

My parents were up visiting and they bought our Honda Accord car from us and my dad wanted to have the brakes checked since he bled them and they still had issues. We took it over to Plateau Motors along with calipers we purchased from a local store and they were able to assess that it was the calipers and they fixed them for my dad the same day. They are very polite, friendly, and knowledgeable and I just took my Pilot to them to check on what we believe is an alternator issue. Their price was reasonable to replace the calipers so I am sure they will be reasonable to fix the issue we are having with our Pilot.
