All my family members go there. Recently I was charged contact lenses fitting fee. In the appointment doctor mentioned wearing contact lenses in one eye may be an option for me. And said she has some trial lenses so I got it. But before I decided to go back for contact lenses fitting or not and ask for contact lenses prescription they just charged me for contact lenses fitting fee! in fact I have not even tried them even. After talking they have waived the fitting fee. But asked me to give the sample lenses back! Thanks god I have not used the trial lenses and can give both samples back to them! Found it funny that they are asking for the sample lenses back. What would have happened if I tried the sample but decided not to go for contact lenses fitting they would have charged me for this sample!?! Strange…! The reason I chose them for us all is because it is nearby. I guess it is not worth it.

They are not good with Insurance checks. They ask us to be more proactive than them who actually deal with insurance on a daily basis. Recently they charged me 200+ dollars for a eye exam saying that they will not send the charges to the insurance because they know itll be rejected. I repeatedly requested them to send to insurance and if they reject it then Ill pay it (mind you we had insurance they accepted). But they didnt do it saying itll cost them more to bill the insurance and them rejecting it. they see profits more than the patient. Please avoid this no good establishment. Goto bellevue/redmond where you have more options. I went here because of the proximity but guess the decision was wrong. All this is about the front desk folks who deal with insurance. The doctor, Dr Eden was amazing. Shes very understanding and pleasant to deal with. If Shes with another establishment then I would surely recommend her. This review is for the establishment and not for the Doctor.

They said they took our Health insurance so we scheduled an eye exam. Completed the eye exam a few weeks later and then received a bill. After numerous calls I found out the did NOT take our insurance and we were stuck with the bill. Obviously we won’t be going back. My advice...call your insurance company. Don’t take their word for it.

We both got two pair of regular glasses and a pair of sunglasses each in January of 2018. We have been going to Dr. Michel for several years now and this location with their friendly staff is our new favorite place to go for exams and product selection. We live in West Seattle so you locals know this is a schlep for us (we have to cross two bridges!!) but it was worth it for the selection and quality of service. The testing equipment is state of the art with all of the latest technology and the staff are knowledgeable, patient (very important!), and helpful. We are tough to please and the selection of AH-MAY-ZING eyewear here was astounding. Most importantly, the staff didnt roll their eyes or sigh heavily as we tried on a few dozen frames each. In the end, we were able to find unique frames that we didnt see everywhere else on every other person we passed and have received compliments almost daily. Our new prescriptions were filled quickly and our frames custom fit to us within about 10 days. Well definitely be going back and have recommended Eyes on the City in Sammamish to all of our friends.
