Glad to see they are seating people outside again. Have always loved coming here.--I have been going here for ages with my family and since the pandemic started we have chosen to only eat where we can sit outside. We visited nearly every single week, and always sat happily outside. The last couple of weeks they decided to close the patio because its cold (even though they have heaters and its completely covered).During a pandemic where people are having to make difficult choices about exposure closing the patio to guests is taking away the safest choice for staying safe. Pregnant women, people with immune disorders, elderly; there are many people who should be avoiding indoor spaces.I hope they realize this and open up the patio.
I came here with other 2 ladies first time and late afternoon. When I entered the store, I was curious about the pie case.We took a seat by the window and took some time to choose the menu.I ordered half size veggies from the omelet and scrambled eggs menu. And I dont know what the two ladies ordered, but full of food came to the table, lol.The menu can be selected from full size and half size, and the full size was enough for two people to eat. Therefore, I ordered the half size and it was just right. However, the taste had to add salt and pepper and tabasco by myself. The two ladies couldnt finish and took them home. They were happy with the quantity, However, it seemed that the taste was not enough, so they added salt and pepper and tabasco too.The service at the restaurant was good.
Absolutely a pleasant experience, I got the Salmon Patty Benedict and let me tell you this photo does not do it justice. The salty zest of the Old Bay seasoning, mixed with the crispy salmon patty, balanced by the fresh avocado, poached egg, and creamy Hollandaise. All this on a warm English muffin makes this my personal favorite!
My partner and I LOVE the Sammamish cafe! We usually go weekend mornings, meaning it’s busy, so we happily sit at the bar. The bartender, Teresa, is the absolute best. She always goes above and beyond regardless of how busy she is. We appreciate her so much & I hope the cafe does too. If you complain about the wait time, then stay home.
Good to be back in one of our fav places on the plateau for breakfast. Corned beef hash breakfast was amazing and Chelsea kept the coffee topped off!
It was like the world restarted! It was crowded but in a good way. There was super fast service, loud conversations, and lots of laughter. The food was fabulous as always! :)
Havent had a bad meal yet. Pies are good too. Very consistent.
My 1st time here and it did not disappoint. We waited about 15-20min to be seated at 9:30am on a Friday, so you know this place is good if that many people are there on a weekday. Server took our order promptly and food was out about 10min later. Very good breakfast and the menu has many many great options. The decor and atmosphere is super cute with a very large outdoor patio. Coffee and waters were refilled repeatedly and we were checked on often. This may be my new favorite place. Will try lunch and dinner soon and of course the amazing bar for happy hour.
I love this cafe! It’s my first time and now they have made a life long customer of me. Friendly and attentive service from the staff, Jennifer was so great! I had eggs and hashrowns….which were cooked to perfection. And the pumpkin waffle on this rainy fall day was devine! I saw on the menu they have turkey dinner after 4pm…I’ll be back! The ambiance feels warm and cozy too with a fireplace and wooden tables and I see they have outdoor tables for nice days too. Their menu has so many things that sound delicious:) milk shakes too!
They had me wait for an hour and a half for breakfast take out. Went and asked multiple times if my food was ready and they said no, have a seat and they would notify me when it was ready. After an hour and a half I asked for my money back. The person behind the desk said oh your food is ready and pulled up a bag that was sitting on counter for an hour. I asked the manager to refund me my money, he denied me because I Ordered online and couldnt refund it in the system. I left with no food and money. The times Ive eaten before, the food was good but the services are not. Its a 50/50 if your gonna get terrible service, up to you if you want to flip the coin
Great breakfast spot. Pleasant service. Cozy look and feel. Great selection and variety of food offerings.
Horrible client support. At the point when my food was made inaccurately, I rapidly carry it to the consideration of the staff and was advised it was right. Having eaten here on a few events and requesting exactly the same thing, I realized that it was not made right. Staff and supervisor might have minded less and never really made a difference. The staff has never been agreeable and the absence of client assistance will hold me back from returning again.
This is a great place for breakfast and lunch. Very attractive decor, some outdoor seating with heat lamps if needed. The menu has a lot of uncommon items. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food and service.
Had breakfast here and everyone got something different. The pulled pork burrito was amazing and so was the hash! The cinnamon rolls were good, but I have had far better elsewhere.Service was a little spotty but everyone was very nice.
It took a long time for the waiter and the food to get there. We waited for our waiter for around 35 min. Great food though. Love the people.
I havent been to the cafe in 4 years I was very impressed with the new place It looks absolutely wonderful customer service was amazing. And I had a Monte Cristo which was absolutely amazing also! Five stars to these people!
Ive eaten here a few times since I moved into the area. Havent had a poor experience yet! The waitstaff are great and the food is delicious with large portions.I will say, I had the chocolate chip cookie with ice cream for dessert and it was a dry and crumbly cookie. Its not my favorite, but thats personal preference. The soups Ive had have been delicious and flavorful!
Always enjoy eating here when in town visiting family. Had the corned beef hash with biscuits and gravy. Yummmmmmmm!!!
Consistent quality, great service and good food. Sammamish Cafe also has a wonderful, sunny, partially covered patio for outdoor dining.
I visit this place a lot since I work right next to it. I must say their service is always fantastic and they keep the place well kept constantly. Prices are reasonable and they serve generous portions.
Good food, super slow place. Ordered take out and eta was 30 min for food, got there and waited an additional 25 minutes. 55 minutes for 2 items is just crazy
Food was good. Have to wait a while each time we go but overall worth it. Nice staff.
Really great food and portion sizes. The staff was friendly and attentive.
They have great servers and excellent food. Not too overpriced, considering the area. The giant cookie dessert was so damn delicous. My kids loved it, the portions even filled their bottomless pits - score!
Had to compare with its Redmond sister restaurant. The Sammamish Cafe is a gift to Sammamish. It tiks so many boxes: an excellent bar, restaurant, bakery, family get together place with a big fireplace and friendly effective wait staff. We ate the Sun died tomato omelet to compare with Redmond. We discovered Redmond forgot to add the chicken sausage! It was delicious both ways. The huevos rancheros was wonderful. The pumpkin pancakes are so good, you could go just for them. We will make this our new favorite Sunday brunch place.
Every server here is wonderful, every dish magnificent, even Mexican dishes (finally realized they have some Mexicans cooking... it all makes sense!). Angel was one of my first servers and I absolutely loved him.I have to force myself not to get the triple fruit French toast every time. The best on the menu!
Friendly staff and great food. Kind of disappointed to see some of my favorite breakfast place/diner items having off-putting twists applied (e.g., cheese & avocado on a turkey club) to them though.
I want to like everything about this place because I like the atmosphere and want to support local businesses but want to be satisfied. The burgers, shakes, breakfast and pies are delicious. However the fried chicken with gravy is the worst. It was not the light and crispy that we’d hoped for but instead tasted like it was cooked in old oil and burnt. Even the gravy was thick and pasty with a horrible flavor. Several of the home style comfort meals do not remind me of grandma’s cooking and is not comforting but more like a TV dinner. We keep giving it a chance but it’s not a restaurant to go for dinner.
Fantastic food, stellar staff, amazing atmosphere. Best place in Sammamish for Americana breakfast or lunch! Ive been here tons of times over the years, and theyve never disappointed me. I really encourage people visiting here for the first time to try some of the unorthodox things on the menu, like the B.O.B., pumpkin pancakes, or pulled pork breakfast burrito. Portion sizes are almost Claim Jumper big, so unless youre a heavy eater prepare to take some home. Also their pies are incredible, so stick around for dessert!I most recently visited during the COVID-19 pandemic, and they did a great job of making sure everything was clean and save for their customers. The staff had great mask discipline, and the tables were well spaced to allow for safe distancing even while walking between tables to get to the bathroom. The managers here take their business seriously and it shows.Overall 10/10, please visit!
Food and service are awesome but the silverware is the cheapest stuff Ive eaten with in a long time.
Modern day diner on steroids. Nice interior, great food and the entire staff is friendly, efficient and attentive.
Ive never had anything but a great breakfast here. Love the menu, great food, excellent service. 👌
Great food, great service. Dog friendly!
We come here with my mother in law most of the time we visit Issaquah. We love the food, always great service. Most of the time there is a wait, but totally worth it!!
Checking out the new expanded SammCafe digs. Amazing transformation from the DCs and Simone space to this... but they coinsistently generate the crowds to warrant the increased square footage. They also now have a bar to expand the offerings into the evening. Service and quality are par with before.
Great food and awesome outdoor dining when the weather cooperates.
Ive ordered to go meals here half a dozen times now. While the greeting at the door is quick I seem to wait 15 or 20 minutes while wait staff takes their break before they can give me the order thats been sitting on the counter the entire time. While the food is good the service is a joke.
Didnt get in this time since the wait time of 1.5 hours in the morning is too much.
Food is great & theyre doing the best to get reopened in our current phase. If takeout, would suggest ordering earlier than planned. They had a great idea - for pickup wait outside the door, be socially distant (common sense?) and they being out food as its done and avail.
Terrible customer service. When my food was made incorrectly, I quickly bring it to the attention of the staff and was told it was correct. Having eaten here on several occasions and ordering the same thing, I knew that it was not made right. Staff and manager could have cared less and did nothing to help. The staff has never been friendly and the lack of customer service will keep me from coming back again.
Its Mothers Day, its packed. But the servers are doing a heck of a job. Pumpkin pancakes are the best in Washington state.
Great atmosphere, real good food. Highly recommend.
Its safe. The coffee is good. The ice-cream is delicious. The food choices are limited in this area, but with a place like this, thats not such a problem.
Loved the ambiance and breakfast! Excellent food quality and service. The omelettes were so fresh and delicious.
Since there are not many restaurants to choose from in Sammamish, this is the place to go any time of the day. Friday and Saturday menu offers Prime Rib dinner which is pretty good! There are various flavor of pies! Staff members are always very friendly. It was unfortunate that we couldnt dine in due to the pandemic but they still offer takeout from the dine-in menu.
Wonderful food, friendly staff!
Oh my goodness we JUST moved to sammamish and live in the same building as the sammamish cafe and I need to tell you that this restaurant is amazing. The food was delicious, But the service was IMPECCABLE.Our server was sachin, (I hope Im spelling that right!) Was attentive, cared about our needs, and ensured we had an amazing dining experience.I would highly recommend this place if you havent been before! We will definitely be back, and I hope to see our server again!!
Service was nice, the atmosphere too..I ordered some eggs Benedict. The portion was pretty big, but it was kind of bland.
Nice comfort food brunch place. Good food and generous serving sizes.
Beautiful and cozy place, great coffee and sandwiches 😋The best customer service!!
Nice brunch place! I like their pie, especially coconut one.
Always love to go to this place. Everything they serve there seems to be made fresh in the kitchen, from their roasted Turkey to salad dressings. Very fresh salads, not from bags. Servers are nice.
Food great & we love the server, she is amazing. Have not been to a restaurant since covid started & she remembered what we order for breakfast!!!!
Wholesome local traditional american fare with excellent breakfast and service. Also nice location with outside seating and bar. Bakery is really amazing as well. Come early as often gets crowded on weekends.
Good food, good service and large portions. Adhering to Covid protocols.
Sublime architecture. Never seen such majestic utensils.
Delicious food, breakfast, lunch or dinner you cant go wrong.
A bit on the pricey spice for a 1:30 lunch ($16-18/person before tip for burgers and a club sandwich)... OK food, but nothing spectacular.
Great food. Affordable prices and the best staff.
We dont get to the east side very often but we love to eat at the Sammamish when we do!
Friendly staff and tasty food
I placed an order over the phone, and the person taking the order was very nice. I was quoted 20 minutes for pickup time, ended up being 40, not that big of a deal. The problem I had is that the burger I ordered was overdone and burnt black, considering it is kobe beef, that is just sad. The other item of chicken fried steak was also overcooked and the gravy tasted awful. Considering each item was around $17 dollars, I am not impressed and upset that I spent that much money for such low quality.
Doesn’t provide minors with adequate breaks and are breaking Washington state working laws. Their pies taste like bad cheese too.
Great service and food...
This place is awesome! Love coming here. Honestly some of the best plant based food Ive eaten
Had to wait one hour, but we were nine cant blame them. Waitress was super friendly, and remember the entire order in one shot super fast, with extra smiles. Food was great in correct proportion. Ambiance is really nice. Would recommend this place and will definitely come back.
Our first place for breakfast, lots of good choices and excellent service. And their coffee is good 👍🏻
Don’t bother calling in a to go order because you will be placed on hold for longer than it takes you to drive here. Then when you walk in and ASK to place said to go order, be prepared to wait to place the order for 15-30min on a Wednesday night. How many hosts does it take to coordinate two monte Cristo sandwiches to go? I’m still waiting
Safety measures are carefully observed. The food is good. The service friendly. We prefer outdoor dining. The patio here is spacious.
Ostanding breakfast! Ashley was a great server.
This is our go to place for breakfast, always pleases my family of 6 and service is fast and friendly 😊 Im glad they are surviving these tough times and will always support them
Our absolute favorite local restaurant! We usually get a combo of the following:Chicken fried steakPancakesTurkey dinnerAny of the homemade soupsMeatloaf dinnerChicken Parmesan (please please serve noodles with it)Chicken tender salad
The custom omelet was very well cooked, not dry, and yummy.
Great local place, and very friendly and nice staff. Great option in the area, very nice desserts and they are all following the covid procedures well.
There are a few excellent servers who should be recognized because weve had one particular in mornings who provides outstanding customer service and is always professional. Note to management, the older ladies are gossipy and not very nice. Food does take a while, but is always great.
Good food and quick service!
Great food and friendly service
Excellent food and service
Comfort food in a clean, comfortable setting.
The soups are so salty (both Chowder and Chili). My son ordered from the kid menu which is clearly mentioned to have a choice of soft drink, juice... But we were charged separately for his Coke. So, check before you pay...
My family and I love to go here on the weekends for breakfast. The food is usually great and service is good as well. I absolutely love the coffee and baked goods here and I always look forward to that. The decor and atmosphere is very laid back and comfortable. Every once and a while the food won’t be as great but that is very rare for us.
We came on re-opening day, as our country tries to recover from the COVID19 shutdown. The restaurant did very well in dealing with spacing issues and staff PPE, etc. The food was excellent as always. The service attentive and polite. If youre looking to get out, definitely consider the cafe.
Amazing restaurant, the food was awesome.
A delightfully pleasant spot with free parking and excellent wait staff. Weekends require patience for a table because this place is so very popular. Week nights are busy too, but usually short wait times. And then there is the menu! Breakfast all day, great lunch options, and dinner options. Not fancy, but oh so good with lots of comfort food choices. For my dinner I loved the hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and a salad. Succulent turkey and gravy that was not too salty makes me look forward to going back!
Great food here. Lots of homestyle meals. Lunch rush might mean you have to wait a bit for a table but its so worth it! They have amazing bacon waffles and a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit covered in gravy. They also have fresh pies every day. Theres something there for everyone
Great place for an excellent breakfast and delicious comfort food. The daily soups and specials are awesome. They do a great job at takeout... everything you need. And if youre so inclined, they have a full service bar for a nice cocktail.
This restaurant will always be nostalgic for me; I cant even begin to recall the number of times Ive visited the place and with whom. The food is affordable and well worth the price in flavour. While this restaurant may have moved locations slightly, itll always have a little slice of my heart.
New location is spacious, staff is friendly and attentive. Food is good with very generous portions, and surprisingly good coffee. Definitely get what you pay for. Can be a little crowded on weekend mornings and in particular 3 day weekends or days where one of the many high schools nearby get out early. Pies are delicious, and slices are half off on Thursdays! Best spot for brunch on the plateau, and if you like it there are other locations throughout the Eastside.
Great food, great service.. From our Reubens to the pumpkin pancakes..lunch and breakfast.. all was good. The Lakeshore/fishing lodge decorating theme was fun. Mellow atmosphere good for kids to seniors. So pack up the whole family..grab your kids and your folks and head on over.
