Family Powersports is an awesome place. I would recommend visiting them for all your large adult toy needs! I worked with Chris Leach, and I highly recommend working with him if you plan on buying anything especially a dirt bike. He is super knowledgeable, and set me up with everything I needed. This was my first ever dirt bike purchase, and there wasn’t a question unanswered. I didn’t feel forced in any way to buy anything which was awesome, he’s not your salesman where he slams anything down your throat. He was super friendly and we went over everything as discussed. I will be back to buy parts and anything else I need for my bike in the future, I can’t stress enough how amazing family powersports was to me, and Chris is a fantastic person and made the entire purchase super easy.

For the most part I was happy with what was seeming to be a smooth and happy sale. I bought a Can Am from FPS in San Angelo. David was easy to work with and all went pretty great until it came to make my payments. I told the finance person before buying the bike I wanted to make payments through my credit card so I would get miles on it. I was told thats no problem. Came time to create my auto payments through Fifth Third bank and there was NO OPTION to pay via credit card. I called FPS and told them about the issue. I kept getting told they would get back to me about this. I had to keep calling to get answers. Due date came for first payment so I made it using my checking account. Called them again, they said they would pay off the Can Am to Fifth Third and I would pay them with my credit card. I said great! Was originally told there is NO EARLY PAYOFF PENALTY! Fifth Third tried to charge me $118.00 early payoff penalty! Told FPS I wasnt paying it. They said fine, though using my credit card would cost me 3%. I could go on and on but to end this rambling, I said fine. (Just charge me and let me get out of here!) Theres always going to be something a vehicle company can do to get money from you. I shouldnt have had to take money out of savings to pay it off. And I shouldnt have had to pay an extra $600 since it was their fault in the first place. Since its the only place in town we dont have much of a choice so Ill have to use them for service at some point. Dont plan on ever buying from them again.

Great customer service!!! We bought our cannam maverick there and it was a great experience. The part and service team helped us when we were complicated and never seemed frustrated. (We added almost 10k in parts)My ONLY complaint is that your TV is like 25 years old. We were in there for like 3 hours and its a giant box tv lol. Its just funny. Also very disappointed with the fact that you dont have complimentary bottles of water!? Yall make a lot of money... update your tv and offer your paying customers water atleast. My family and I do not drink sodas or energy drinks (to buy something from your vending machine) and also we dont want to drink water out of a water fountain. We will be back, but I hope to see Bottled water offered atleast. It is the little things that matter when you own a business. I own a few myself.

Staff was helpful and fast, they really made you feel welcome and seemed really willing to help. The only reason they didnt get 5 stars is because of the pricing, I could easily tell they are gouging ppl. My jetski battery cost me about $150 there but I could have gone to Walmart and gotten it for $60-$80, I just didnt have time to go to Walmart.

We went to FPS to just “look” at the new 2021 Seadoo because we had been looking at similar models for awhile. Ashley was amazing at answering any and all our questions. Because of his great service, we went ahead and purchased a jetski and got some accessories for it as well. Can’t speak more highly of Ashley and the guys there. We bought a new 2021 Axis A24 from Taylor Rand at their San Angelo store, and will take delivery of the boat this week or next. The experience with Taylor and Family Powersports, the professionalism and the desire to sell us a boat - made the 5 hours drive from Houston well worthwhile. We have dealers in my area in Conroe Texas, but they seemed to be emotionally attached to their boats in terms of wanting to move them, they were almost arrogant. Perhaps they felt they had a captured market - not so. Taylor was professional, he knew the product, and was willing to work with us to make the sale. I highly recommend Taylor Rand and Family Powersports in San Angelo Texas. I would buy from them again.

I will give 1 star for answering the phone. A tire repair usually requires the repair of the tire. Not to fill it with slime without making any repair. Will not be returning for service.

First time buyer at this dealership and I’m sure I will purchase more. I live in Abilene which makes it more difficult to choose them for repairs but Chad and Terry were able to make our Can Am purchase a successful one. They are both great, friendly guys and did give us options on adding to our purchase. The main reason for the 5 star review is the in-house insurance they provide. We were hesitant at first but we believe we made the right decision in switching ALL our vehicles over to the Family Insurance offered there. Even after adding the insurance for our new addition we saved approximately $150 a month in insurance costs. So I highly recommend looking into the insurance rates they offer on all you insurance needs. All in all I have no issues with return my business here and surely will be back for upgrades, new purchases, and protection needs.

I had a great experience with family power sports of San Angelo. I left a message online and Taylor called me very shortly after doing so and answered a lot of my questions. I went in and bought a couple of four wheelers from him. I then worked with Gary. He helped me find helmets and goggles and was very knowledgeable and helpful. They continued to have exceptional customer service after the sale. I called and spoke with Gary where he was able to answer many kore questions and give me guidance on installing a winch. I would recommend family power sports to anyone.

Brought in my Can Am Spyder for recall and error codes it was showing on the instrument panel. Dealt with Jo Jo Fletcher in service. She had her team trouble shoot my problem with their BUDS software program. Found the issue and promptly called me with her fix. I advised her to fix it which she did with minimal out of pocket expense to me. This place fixes the problem and does not chase parts till its fixed! I highly recommend JoJo and her team! 3/7/2020

Main place in town for the powersports scene. As for the support needs it is on the expensive side. 2-cycle marine oil is twice as much as anywhere else.

I wanted to share my experience with Family Power Sports. Firstly this was not my only time dealing with this dealer, I had a bike in the maintenance area being worked on and at the time I got quite the run around with the parts and service. To be fair it was a Honda (they are not Honda dealers) and the person I was dealing with is not there any more. However when the part did arrive the experience was great.I decided to upgrade my bike and had my eye on one, I did a web inquiry and was promptly called not even 10mins by a sales man (David) . Let me just say that all salesmen should take a page out of Davids book, he was not pushy, gave great information and he was able to work a deal that I was comfortable with.I wanted to also mention the whole experience of FPS where they introduced me to all departments (Insurance, Parts and Service) was a BIG plus.Finally Evan the Finance Manager was down to earth and explained every detail and option I had available to me.FPS San Angelo, keep up the GREAT work and if you continue you will see more of my business.

Being one of the few choices in the San Angelo area for recreational vehicles and riding gear, they seem to have at least a small selection of anything you might need. Lots of shiny expensive toys for sure. Prices are typical retail prices that youd find at any dealership. Tons of staff, who hover a bit, but thats fine; better being ignored. I scored a nice helmet for 30% off, so that was a good deal, and I also picked up a limited use permit and OHV sticker. Overall good experience.

By far the place to go for alternative vehicles or just fun outdoor/water things. Some good deals here and there.

Bought a bike from there and so far it’s pretty good. Bought the warranty along with it (it was a used bike) had some issues with the bike the other day but it is a Kawasaki so they are known to be loud. I thought there was something wrong with it, took it in and they made sure within a few hours nothing was wrong. Fast service and friendly!

They price match on tires got a very good price once they did.

Decent group of salesman, in all honesty. i learned more from a “make ready” he called himself and he was the only one there busting his butt. It’s sad they are underpaid when the company makes all this money.

I dont understand this site. It says All inventory, but all they have are bikes, boats, atvs. Where do they have apparel, like helmets, gloves, jackets, shoes, etc? Ive been spending several minutes on this site, but I guess they no longer carry any apparel at all, which is sad.

I dropped off my rear dual sport wheel for new tire,tube, rim lock, and balance. I mentioned several times specifically that i wanted it balanced to counter the weight of the rim lock. I got the wheel back and there is no added weight and I mention this and the guy said it was balanced and needed no extra weight. After the first ride I feel a vibration pattern so I took the wheel to a different shop and they said it was horribly unbalanced and needed 4 additional weights. Family power sports seemed unprofessional from the beginning and now its obvioualy they dont take there job serious enough. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I feel ripped off. Cutting corners on this if I didnt notice would have ruined my new tire, hindered my riding quality and maybe even put my safety at risk. And not to mention I had to spend more money.

Bumped up the rating to 4-stars for taking care of their customers.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------My grandfather purchased a used Malibu Response from this dealer, and while the appearance is great and the engine has low hours, definitely not completely lake ready like the salesperson stated. We put the boat in the water for the first time this past weekend and the steering was nearly completely out. Its so stiff that it took wrestling the steering wheel to get it to our dock when you should be able to turn the wheel with the touch of a finger (From what Ive researched, its most likely the steering cable...). My grandfather had never purchased a boat like this, so he relied on the dealer to provide a quality ski boat. So now they want us to pull this thing back out of the water, drive to Angelo from Brownwood, and wait the expected 4-6 weeks for our boat to be worked on since its the busiest time of the year. There goes half our summer... Very dissatisfied.

I came in for a new rear tire and left with a new rear wheel, bearings, break pads,break caliper bracket...and the new tire. Due to Mr. Subias diligence and concern several problems were discovered with the rear wheel which required its replacement. Since I spend many, many miles at highway speed I now feel confident that all is as it should be and I am safe. I would also like to thank Levi for his courteous help.

Dont take a Honda generator to this place for service, they have no idea what they are doing. Totally screwed up my EU3000i. I had to take it somewhere else after they attempted to fix it 3 times.

First of many reasons you should buy your Boat or any recreational vehicle from the guys @ Family Powersports San Angelo is they truly care about their customers no matter what and will do whats right for the customer no questions asked. I was driving all the way from Austin on a Saturday to purchase my new Malibu and not only did Steven and all the guys stay a couple hours past closing time but they rolled out the red carpet when we arrived. Most dealers ONE would not have stayed late and TWO would have rushed to hurry you out! Well not these guys We pulled up and was greeted by Chris their Malibu delivery specialist and then Evan, Steve (GM) and Jonathon with excitement to have us. There were no steps missed in this buying process they knocked it out of the park and made every dealer I have ever dealt with look like chumps. I will make sure that anyone I come in contact with buys their Boat or Rec vehicle from these guys! A TRUE CLASS ACT!!!! I was in your store not too long ago as an Out of Town visitor looking for some mens rain gear. Bobby was most helpful in assisting me with the selection. He is an asset to your establishment and would definitely highly recommmend him going forward to any potential customers in the future.

Good place for safety equipment. All the other reviews seem to cover buying the actual vehicles or parts for the same, with the exception of Tonys oh-so-helpful 3-word review. I cant argue with them, but I didnt go in there for vehicle stuff; I went in for PPE (personal protective equipment). In that respect, the employee - when he finally noticed us - was incredibly helpful. He stayed with us the whole time, finding the right size and style gear instead of trying to sell us the highest priced stuff.When all was said and done, we walked out with 2 full-face helmets ($100 and $200, respectively), 2 jackets (about $150 each), 2 sets of gloves (about $60 each, which I believe was a bit expensive), and a quick-release for one of the helmets (less than $10). Im sure we could have found cheaper somewhere, but we did get good-quality gear for the money.If you need a bike or other vehicle, go ahead and shop elsewhere. If you need PPE, dont be afraid to browse this particular store.
