I’ve come here a couple of times and love this place. They’re a great local business and are definitely a little charm of San Angelo. I recommend this place to anyone. They’re also great about getting books in if they don’t already have them. Come check them out!

We absolutely LOVED old town books!!! Its the perfect little nook for book lovers. The space is simple but elegant, they had a good selection of books, free coffee (with recyclable cups which I think is awesome) and their kids area is amazing. My kids loved sitting on the bean bag seats, and my oldest just sat and read and had a blast in there while I browsed the store. They have an outside sitting area which was really nice for a sunny fall day. The whole store was well decorated, along with the antique beautiful furniture pieces, the owner threw in her personal touch with pictures of famous novels hanging on the walls. I seriously love everything about the place. I use to love Hastings book store and my husband and I used to go on coffee dates there while I shopped for books. Ive been missing a store similar to that, but Old Town Books is even better. It had a cozy and homey feel about it that I love, and it is officially my new favorite spot downtown.

I love this bookstore! It is evident that the literary selections are made with thought and care, there are lots of sales and events, and you can find both what you were looking for and things you didn’t know about but might love! The staff are great as well; they always have great recommendations and will let you know what is discounted and/or new that day. Be sure to check out the table featuring local authors when you go!

Full of a great variety of books for everyone in your household! The displays are very interesting and I understand they change often to fit with seasonal occasions and holidays. Very impressed that if they dont have it they can usually order it. T-shirts, onesies, bookmarks, mugs, and totes along with other things every book nerd needs! I WILL be back. Often.

Great little book store!

By far the most amazing independently owned bookstore Ive ever had the pleasure of perusing. Loved this place! Wonderful selection and best staff ever! If Im ever back in San Angelo I will definitely return!!

Very friendly staff, very welcoming, great atmosphere. Been dreaming of a local bookstore ever since Hastings went under. I hope they are successful and continue to add events, more author presentations and even a writers workshop or community book club would be great. You can tell this store is something they are passionate about, and for those of us that love books, its a much needed addition to the town.

A quiet, refreshing oasis of bookstore charm. The location is in a part of the downtown local business district, housed in a quaint, long-standing building that includes warm, red brick walls and high, tiled ceilings. The best part of this bookstore, besides the wonderful in-store selection and their friendly online presence, is the caring staff. A visit here is well with your time!

Bigger than it looks from the outside. Staff were incredibly nice & helpful, they had great promotions, and the general vibe was warm & welcoming. I look forward to becoming a regular.

Went to find reasonably priced books and friendly individuals, found exactly that. This place is a godsend for bookclubs, and bookworms alike,and feels just like home with comfy chairs and complementary coffee, tea and hot cocoa. It also includes things such as events (board games) and a childrens section.
