I want to support local businesses, but I felt like I had to try really hard to get advice/guidance from this store. If the answer to every question is just its up to you, then buying online is a much easier, and cheaper option. If stores like this took an interest in what their customer was trying to achieve and made proactive recommendations or suggestions, not only would they be more likely to get repeat business but they would probably sell more things to that customer.
The Home of The Great Boota Moonas!!! Awesome shop, fantastic people! ( see, decent small hobby stores still exist!! ) Well worth the trip!!
Father daughter mission to find a couple of model rockets to build during lockdown. This store is well stocked with everything needed to get launched. Best of all the guy behind the register is the owner who has kids of his own and knows his stuff. I learned a ton!Besides rockets, rocket engines and launchpads he sells trains, train supplies, plastic models (cars, tanks etc) and RC cars (the fast ones).I highly recommend using this store!
Went there to get midel glue for my kids model. They had every thing i needed and then some. Helpful staff. cool place. not many hobby stores left these days.
I’ve purchased rockets and train sets here. Super friendly and informative staff. Didn’t try to oversell, I ended up spending less and being more happy with my purchase.Reminds me of the old school local hobby shop.
Very friendly and nice, also a lot of variety and stock.
Jumped off the highway on my last trip to California and stopped in. A well stocked shop with a bit of everything. The gentleman working there was a model building himself and we talked models and model railroading for a good little while. Worth the B-line.
Very helpful service and great product variety
I love this place!! Whenever I need something for my Traxxas I go there and they are helpful and help me find it. I recommend going there!
This place is cool, but their price is ridiculous for dummy engines for $25. I saw the same engines from the photos and I was like why would no one buy this? I got an ho steam locomotive for 54 dollars. Best hobby shop but to expensive.
The shop looks excellent from the outside. Unfortunately, although it says that it opens at 10 a.m. It was not open when we arrived, or at 10:20 when we finally had to go. Thats the only reason Im not giving it 5 stars, although I do understand that small shops like this routinely open later than posted. I look forward to another opportunity to visit the shop.
Caryn, the owner is so friendly, she makes you feel welcome and is helpful in explaining the materials you might need. The prices are nice, so many choices. Its a hidden gem. Will go there again
Amazing service! Highly recommended!
Thanks for helping me fix my sons Traxxas before his birthday!!!!!!
The sales guy was super pushy and more interested in telling my daughters what little girls wanted instead of letting us shop. It quickly became an exercise in how do we politely escape so we can never, ever come back.
Very helpful, needed a replacement charger for my sons RC car while on a trip & hooked us up after first one he sold us went bad.
Great shop and better than shopping on line
Got exactly what I needed, really friendly as well
Great shop with a nice selection of Tamiya paints and tape. The owner is wonderful!
