I have posted about this place in places I don’t even know lol.. I am overly pleased!! They are a hidden gem! Vet care and grooming care are two different specialties..can’t stress that enough!When I brought them Tucker, he had 3-4 inch nails and I’m not expatriating.. I couldn’t see the “quick” but weekly I was taking the tip only to recede it.. I was afraid to cut them.. meanwhile tucker was shredded and shedding.. it was a vicious cycle..If your dog has long nails, shedding and skin issues.. Royal Pet Palace can help you.. they did an amazing job!! They educated me… Tucker is 3… this was my first real education for his skin, bathing, hair shedding aggravation for both he and I! Jackie and Scarlett, I can’t thank you both enough!

Staff was super friendly and helpful to my dogs situation. I had took him to cut his hair at a different place and they botched it, so I took him to the ROYAL PET PALACE and they fixed him up so nice. They made him look better and he was so happy and excited. The prices are really good and they have all different packages/ deals. This is going to be my go to place for all my dogs. Highly recommend:)

I’m giving this shop 1 star because my dogs “summer cut” was incredibly uneven. She has patches throughout her back and sides. They didn’t trim her face except the eyes. I’ve taken her to MANY groomers but because ours is on vacation we took a chance because this shop is nearby. We will be taking her to ANOTHER shop tomorrow since her face is basically the exact same from when we brought her in except the fact they did around her eyes. Also because she has patches all over. We paid full price and I deeply regret that. If I were YOU. Take your pup somewhere else perhaps right around the corner to the vet that also grooms. Save your money. DO NOT go here. Terrible service. Only one girl is nice the others look like they hate their job. Especially the one in that red 4 door. I wouldn’t even come back if they did it for FREE!

Sold me a sick puppy and when I asked about it said they forget to tell me when I purchased the puppy, even though the puppy had pooped on the floor when we went to meet him and the store owner told us he was excited . Was also told Id be reimbursed for the vet bills and wasnt. All paperwork said if I left a bad review my warranty would be voided! Had to take the puppy to the vet multiple times over a span of two months. The vet informed me this puppy had traveled to multiple locations prior to be at this pet shop based on the paperwork given and had been on antibiotics for weeks already. Barely review and when I do I dont like to leave negative reviews but I felt this was necessary for others to know since they are basically saying dont post bad reviews or there will be repercussions...

This is the best place I’ve been too, snow lost his groomer in December and it was the last time he’s been groomed. I love the way he came out, so beautiful 😻 I will be back!!!

I would suggest straying far away from this place. Customer service is poor to non existent. Manager/Owner is rude and will not accept mistakes by their employees. Seems to be a common denominator from other reviews I have read as well. Save yourself the time and energy by avoiding Royal Pet Palace!

They did a great job on Sushi she came back very clean and happy. the girl offered to spray her for fleas which I declined, but I should of gotten it. Next time will do. employee was nice. thanks

The price is average, 16Ib female puppy no matting for $66. That was the spa package, nail trim and file, full body cut, face grooming, anal glands cleaned and but trimmed. I went through her body, no nicks or cuts. She is happy and looks adorable! They also offer a reward card after so many grooms you get $10 off. Would LIKE TO SEE a monthly membership with VIP perks, realistically the shop wouldn’t loose money from free nail trimmings once a month included in the package. Just a thought (; Staff was very friendly. Overall great experience with this shop.. will be coming back.

I took my baby to Royal Pet Palace for the first time ever. I was told she would be ready between 2 and 3. When I got there around 3:40, she was not ready yet and they told me that she would be ready around 5pm becauseshe had only been shaved but not bathed or her nails trimmed.  So essentially they were shaving her before they had given her a bath and she was very matted making it difficult for her fur to be cut. I saw her in a cage with a muzzle on and I asked why she was like that. They told me that she was trying to bite them when they were shaving her down. She has never tried to bite her groomers in the past but its probably because the other groomers know what theyre doing. My baby was shaking, the cut fur had not been taken off of her and she was limping. I took her home and called them to ask for a refund but they did not give it to me because I had taken her before she was done and that it was my choice. Dont take your babies here, they wont be treated like royalty and you may just get a scared baby back.

They were very friendly. So when I walked in my dog usually backs in unfamiliar surroundings. I was so surprised that she did not bark once. To me that meas she felt comfortable with them. I would highly recommend them.

Prices are fair and consistant from competitors.Additionally, everytime you bring your dog that you purchase from here you will recieve 10% off grooming services. Which is an added bonus.Puppies come microchipped, vaccinated, and have registration paper. This is a legitimate business to purchase puppies in San Antonio.In my assessment this place is better then Petco, Petsmart, and Petland combined. Do not overlook this place when searching for your new dog.We will return to this shop for future businesses.

Royal Pet Palace and Boutique is the best place in San Antonio to get a puppy. We are so very excited to add a new addition to our family all because of Jessica. Jessica executed superior customer service, worked her magic and was able to get us our puppy! She definitely went above & beyond!!We definitely recommend this place for your one stop shop. We got our sweet Ruby, Silky Terrier puppy, from Royal Pet Palace last week. Jessica was so helpful. This was our 1st experience buying a puppy, she helped us with any & ALL the questions we had. Ruby was well groomed, had all her papers and very healthy according to our vet. Best choice we made coming here to get our pup!

We came to this place just to see some puppies.. This place is clean and doesnt have that distinct pet shop smell.. Jessica is super helpful, nice and very patient with us.. she answered all our questions.. and as soon as Jessica let us hold us the puppy.. my girls instantly fell in love with the puppy and we knew we had to take her home with us! Thank you so much.. we are so in love with the new fur baby!!! She is super sweet!

I could not say enough with my words of how thankful my family and I are for the two additions to my family. We adapted two puppies and they have brought the happines back to our families.Customer service ia excellent! The owner is super nice and the ladies at the store very helpful and friendly. Prices are very reasonable for puppies and around the store in general.

I took my puppy to get groomed on Saturday she was matted and she was cut during the grooming I took my concerns to the owner the owner said that she would not refund my money because it was my fault because I didn’t groom her enough I don’t believe that anyone should tell you how often to groom your dog I feel bad for my for baby because she was the one that was suffering please do not bring your pets here because they really don’t care all they want is your money this is terrible Customer service the owner should be more considerate and compassionate she just wants your money I’m sure if it was one of her dogs she would’ve been upset as wellI post pictures of the injury on her belly on yelp

Took my dog there for grooming and they did a real nice and thorough job on her. I was very pleased.

The Staff is ALWAYS Friendly and I go there ALL the time to get my babys nails Trimmed and filed.They have NEVER made her bleed while trimming her nails !!!I have purchased two of her Birthday dresses at this Boutique and they have very reasonable prices !!! The ONLY HIGH-priced thing I saw there was the stroller that I wanted for my baby but I couldnt afford it because Im on disability. My family members have bought clothes for my baby there. NEVER EVER take your pets to be groomed here. I took my yorkie to get groomed...I told them I DID NOT want his hair cut shor and I wanted him to have a round face ...They said they were going to give him a 5, I show up and my 3lb yorkie has literally no coat and not a round face cut. They decided without notifying me they did a 7 instead...I would not have had Hisham cut if it was going to be a 7, they said he had matted hair which is untrue since he is brushed daily. Their resolution was to off me a fee grooming next time, as if I would ever go back to them. I fwi am entitled to the grooming refund since I did not get what I asked or paid for.. save yourself the trouble and dont go

We got there at 10:30 and rang the door bell. The open light was on. So we waited (another customer was waiting too) I called the number that was listed and she had an attitude so i said “never mind we’re going somewhere else” she hung up and then had the audacity to text me and tell me “ I’m sorry you were not patient enough to wait 10 minutes, i was down the street” Wow! How did you become a business owner? You could of left well enough alone but after seeing the reviews i see you will argue and go back in forth with anyone. If you don’t like what they have to say you will have some words with them. I’m so glad we dodged a bullet. Oh and i had to block the owner because if I can see she was still typing trying to go back and forth with me. Scary! Beware shoppers and I’ll be waiting for a response. Because she responds to everyone else’s reviews that are not 5 stars.

I found this hidden gem online when searching for a new puppy! I contacted them and Jessica was a great help! She answered all my questions I had. The store is super clean. I cant thank them enough for my healthy T cup Maltese. We will be back for grooming services in the future!

Wanted to pick-up some supplies for our puppies. We walked around the shop a couple of times without any offer to from the staff to help. No one else was in the shop but us and so we got turned off. Wish this shop the best but will not be back. They had puppies available of different breeds, a spa/groomer, and limited pet supplies.

We went in to see puppies and we didnt have money to buy one. Then we were informed about getting a puppy on credit and its been 1 month and happy to have that option and our family loves our new addition. Thanks for providing an option!

I purchased a beautiful & healthy T Cup Yorkie from Royal Pet Palace of San Antonio. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable with the process. Very easy to apply for financing to take my new baby home. They had their groomers give my baby girl a fresh bath and a bow to go home. They have a great selection of pet supplies. Very nice and clean store. You can tell the puppies are very well taken care of.

This is are first-time at this store and we love it we are planning to bring are Chihuahua to get a beauty spa

Walked in noone acknowledged me or my wife. There was a lady on the phone who never looked up once. We stood in front of the puppies for approx. 25 mins. Noone ever asked if they could help us, so we walked out. My wife was wanting a peke. Which they had, but we will not ever go back to this place.

Beware of this place. My friend took her dog and my dog to get baths and cuts over the weekend. They looked showered when we picked them up but when we got home, one dog was covered in fleas and still had stickers from being outside. Wouldnt you think a nice bath and cut would have cleared up at least the stickers? But the person who bathed her didnt tell my friend anything. We paid over $120 for them to pretty much just wet our dogs. These were only 4lb dogs too.I have been there before, and just one look at the pets that they have for sale, I can tell that this place is not reputable. The puppies arent taken out, they are locked in their cages pretty much 24/7, and I just wouldnt trust them.

5 stars because my little girl Lilah (toy Maltese) is the best dog in the entire world! I am so thankful for her. I just bought her from there last week. She has been an absolute joy! As far as services, the team made sure she was cleaned up and trimmed before having me bring her home and they did a great job! She’s a beautiful little thing.

I will not my dog there again she loves to be groomed pampered loved dressed when I brought her home and I tried to paint her nails she was so scared he would not come to me for over an hour I finally got to paint her front paw but will never let me touch her back so no I will not Recommend this place again I will not go there again she was terminated she was scared! As she has been to about two or three places here in San Antonio Texas!

Ive never been here....I never even visit this city. However I stumbled on these reviews and I know a cyberbully situation when I see one. I see a owner trying hard to clean up the mess one weirdo is making in reviews. It takes one angry crazy person just one. Ive seen it before and just wanted to say...if you are looking and dont see it then your missing the obvious. I can tell this owner is being messed with by a disgruntled person...blessings to them. Just had to say something, kinda tired of cyberbullies getting their way and everyone pretending it isnt obvious. Why should this owner scramble to defend themselves? Its bs. Anyone siding with this weirdo harassing them is weird too...#truth

I stopped by this place today with hopes of finding a puppy to take home. Well I heard a couple of employees in the back but nobody came out to help me. I would say very poor customer service will never go back

Thought to give this place a try for pet grooming services. When informed my dogs were ready for pickup we were rudely spoken to and jumped by the Owner. They accused us of soliciting in their business when checking our pets in because another customer asked bout our pets and where we got them as she was looking for a new pet after loosing her last furry companion. Told other customer we didnt purchase our dogs, they were bred by us. Poliety told other customer we dont breed anymore and didnt have any pups for sale. We did NOT solicit in their store. If our being there was truly a problem the employee couldve politely refused our business from the start instead of being rude and accusing us of something. Owner was not even present at the time we checked-in our pets or even heard the convo we had with the other customer.

No one picks up the phone been trying for the past few days. And i tried again today it just beeps. I just wanted to ask a few questions before i came by, but sadly no one picks up.

I took my dog in Saturday looking at reviews I would them a chance. I picked him still wet and shedding really bad still. I paid almost $90. They stated they had a hard time with the dryer on him but it is their job to do the best in grooming and handling all kinds and scared animals. The shedding is worse. I called in and they took him back in and stated they will do it again nothing different from Saturday. Very upset. This is the first and last time. I have paid less and he does not start shedding and smells good for 3-4 weeks. And they had trouble with him with the dryer also but that groomer was booked. I will have to spend more money to get the job done right. So sad need to take more pride in the grooming of all dogs.

Although the merchandise is good quality, place is clean, there is wheelchair access, and people can see the business sign from the street. The sales associate was very helpful, but I wont say anything positive about the owner. Extremely aloof, didnt seem interested in giving any information on some of the products. I did purchase what I wanted because this is the only place on my side of town that carries these items. I left this place with a cold feeling. I sadly state that I wont be returning. I dont like doing this to businesses unless the business gives me a reason to.

I recently found this great pet store when I was looking to buy a new puppy. The store was very clean and all the puppies looked happy and healthy. I got a t cup Maltese I named Gia. I couldn’t be happier with the service & my new little girl. We will back for grooming services soon I’m sure.

Purchased our 2nd teacup puppy from here! Both experiences have been wonderful! Puppies have a great personality and in perfect health! We have used their grooming services too! Dogs love going here, dont shy away when we drop off which means they enjoy being there. They seem to really care about the dogs! Totally recommend this place for grooming or finding your next new friend!

Amazing people and amazing place, they are very helpful and kind. Bought my precious 2 month old Frenchie Magnus a week ago and they went above and beyond for me. Most definitely will be coming back for more play toys and accessories for my little one!

They said my dog was going to die and I thought that was really ugly and rude to say. by the way my dog is alive and well 3 months later. pretty much they suck at this place.

They were wonderful! Helpful, gave me lots of information and helped me get my new baby GiGi ( French Bulldog ). Their prices were more reasonable than Petland too.

I was about to be a customer until I called to ask if they had Apple Pay and if I could get their WiFi password so I could use my Apple Pay account in their store. I think it was a guy that answered but he/she asked me “why would I give u my WiFi code”? The he/she hung up on me before I could explain why I’d need WiFi. It was to be able to pay the person! When I tried to call back he/she continued to hang up on me and was rude as could be. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY. THEY ARE RUDE!

I just have to say that after losing my furry baby of ten years it was very difficult to even think of getting another pup. However, the staff at Royal Pet Palace were so helpful & attentive I decided to bring a new baby home. Jessica was so helpful w/getting me financed & got my new little Yorkie baby all bathed & ready for his new home. Shot/health record on point. Thank you so much for giving me a reason to smile again. And though I will never forget my FergieBaby. I now have a new baby to mend my broken heart! 💔❤️🙂

Great Experience... My mom wanted a new puppy so i found Royal Pet Palace on google and noticied they had a great selection so i took my mom to check it out.. the puppies are super cute here and the owner provides shot records, she chips the puppies and provides a bath before you walk out the door. My mom purchased a yorkie pup with their financing and the owner was super patient. The experience was quick and easy.. my mom walked out a happy camper.

05.05.17 I took my puppy there on Saturday . I dropped my pet off at 10 am . I did NOT receive a phone call that she was done until 6 pm in the afternoon. I called multiple times to see what was taking so long . When I picked up my puppy . Her hair was VERY uneven ! She also had cuts on BOTH ears, her two back legs, and under her arms . She had patches all over her from the un even cut . When we called . The groomer told us well if youd groom her on your own that wouldnt happen. we paid $70.00 for this grooming, so you would think they would have done at LEAST A DECENT JOB ! DO NOT GET YOUR DOG GROOMED HERE ! Please .

My FIRST and LAST time there! You walk in and the stench hits you. I look to my right and theres a display of adorable puppies for sale behind a glass wall. So I figured its the puppies and they need to clean them up. I leave my dog there and come back a few hours later to hear a lady with a very foul mouth, on the phone, behind the counter. A customer and his son were waiting for their dog during all this. Woman goes into her office and groomer checks me out. I ask her who the heck is that woman and she whispered that it was a manager in charge of selling puppies. I ask for owner and she stated she thinks she lives out of town. I left ..disgusted and am determined to find out who I need to talk to about this woman. I worry about the puppies, too. God only knows how they are 😩🐾🙏

My review is low because I have read the good and the bad. You heckle ppl, who are returning customers, who have had a bad experience. I have not become a customer yet because I see how u handle constructive criticism... To become a debbie downer at an customer because they didnt give u a good review when they had a awesome/ good experience is wrong especially when they return to your establishment. Return business is the cornerstone in keeping it running. Speaking from someone who was sure to come make a first appearance and/or to buy something, this isnt a good look.

First time taking my baby here went great!so the second time I was expecting it to be the same....WRONGfirst i dropped her off and they said it’d be 2hours. (that’s no biggie that’s what I expected from the previous visit) &they said she was the first one in! they didn’t call me till 3 1/2 hours later 🤔 so I was already a little worried. I picked up my baby & I could tell my baby wasn’t happy. as they handed her to me I started to ask my baby what was wrong and walked out. I dropped her off at home and finish running some errands. when I returned home she was crying, running back and forth, scratching and nipping at everything, running her face on the floor, she was not doing good. as I observed her I noticed she kept putting her bottom on the cold floor as well. her bottom was completely RED! like she was burned! as I look more and more I noticed where they cut near here eyes, that skin was red and swollen just like her bottom! oh and another thing her box head cut was all choppy but that didn’t matter at this point. when I called and let them know they offered to redo the cut. but didn’t care for her injuries caused by them,they just explained “it’s a different groomer”.SMH. I waited and waited for a manager or owner to call me and never heard a thing. when you take your babies they have you sign a waiver about MINOR cuts this was NOT MINOR! she didn’t even look or smell like she was bathed. DONT GO HEREall their merchandise you can buy at a lower cost and probably cuter elsewhere

Clean an the employee were happy in their jobs

I took my litte Missy for nail cut. She was on the phone at 2pm and the door was locked. She cut too close and took a long time to find powder to put on it. My dog bled alot. I should not have paid and spoken to owner. Dont take your pet there.

I came many time before and never had any trouble. But this week recently I came in 3x and every time the groomer not in and had to wait till Sunday to drop my puppy off. I had appointment then they couldn’t fine my information in there system(knowing I’ve been there many time before and had appointment) and then after all of that she wouldn’t be the first one to get groomed cause there where other that was drop off before her knowing that I had an appointment and then was told she would be that last one to be done. Don’t was your time.

I’m so mad I got out of work early to go to this pet palace my boyfriend had already called & told them we would be stopping by so here I go wasting gas to go all the way out there just for it to be closed when they said they’d be open the hours say 5 on the website I opened the door & all the lights where off a girl with glasses came out from the back & said we’re closed I’m like ok well aren’t y’all supposed to be open till 5 she’s like well we closed early I’m like ok well do you know wat time y’all will be open till tomorrow she’s like I don’t know depends if we’re busy how the heck am I supposed to be a customer & buy a dog from a place like this if they don’t know wat times there gonna be open I’m so mad they closed like 3 hours early!!!!!!!

Since my last review, the owner,Jessica promptly responded with the opportunity to redo the services that I felt was neglected. I took Ranger in this morning & Jeanine did the best job ever! Thank you Jessica & staff for renewing my faith in your services.4.13.19 - If given the option, I would not even give one star. I took my dog in last week, as I’ve taken Rangers in many times before. I asked for a bath, de-shedding, nail file & sanitary cut. I picked him he was still wet and shedding really bad. Which was that way 2 days later & I had paid almost $90. The shedding is worse. No sanitary cut was done. She stated, wow he’s got a lot of undercoat, which is why I took him in to be de-shedded. I called in this week and they said to bring him back on Saturday. I took him back in and i assumed that they will do it again, if nothing else, at least the de-shedding & sanitary cut. The girl this morning said, we can do that but we have to charge u again. I am very upset, what kind of customer service is this? When April was working there, I have paid less and he didn’t shed and smelled good for 3-4 weeks. I had bathed him at home & she only de-shed him. So sad that the the current employees don’t take more pride in the grooming of all dogs, especially repeated customers.🤬
