Outstanding products and service. The process could not have been simpler. Larry Hicks met us at the house, measured and then went over his numerous samples. We picked from them what we wanted, (how he knew our style I’ll never know), scheduled an install and best of all, it was about half of what we expected to pay. And Tony and Cole were a delight to have as installers! It looks great and is so comfortable to walk on.

Our house is 24 years old and it was time to do some upgrades. Like other posts we worked with Carlton Hicks and the experience was fantastic. We found the floor we wanted and the install started about a week later. For us this was a big job. We removed tile from an entry way and kitchen, old laminate from the den, and carpet from the living room and replaced it with vinyl flooring. It only took a few hours to remove all of that and then Carltons team took over. I dont know if its appropriate to mention the two installers names but they were awesome. Respectful, considerate of our needs, willing to make minor changes, etc. Simply two great guys. They took their time and did it right the first time. I cleaned the floor yesterday and its perfect. If you look at the fireplace picture carefully you can see they cut under the brick and slid the new flooring into the cut. This probably took two hours because they had to start over since they wanted it perfect. You should expect and receive this level of detail and care. We have had a number of installs over the years and we could not be happier.On a side note, the shutters are from Katy Plantation Shutters and they too did a great job. We like to support local businesses so its nice that now that its done, we can highly recommend both of them.

Even when I changed my mind about the floor I had selected, he came out to my home with more floor samples and a lot of patience. When the materials arrived and the project began, I was immediately impressed with the gentleman who was going to install the floor. Ruben, the installer, was by every definition of the word, a perfectionist, cordial and a joy to get to know! I watched Ruben lay each vinyl plank, measure until it was perfect, and double and triple check every tile he laid. When we bought our house we needed the carpet changed badly. We needed to clean the cement under the previous carpet because the previous owners had animals and it smelt of pee. We had gotten a quote from Home Depot but they would not haul off our carpet if we removed the carpet to clean the cement. I called Hicks Carpet and they were great. Everyone was so helpful. We are very happy with our carpet and they even hauled off the carpet we rolled up. (They were also cheaper than Home Depot!!)

We had a great experience with Hicks Carpet One! This is not the first time we’ve used their company and we’ve never been disappointed. They previously installed carpet for us, and most recently installed a beautiful vinyl wood plank floor and it looks fantastic! Mr. Hicks was able to order our flooring and have it installed in less than a week (since we were under a deadline). Hicks Carpet One Floor and Home is a preferred company for Farmers Insurance. After my refrigerator water line leaked under my flooring, Carlton came out quick to assess our needs. He quickly put us at ease by explaining the process with insurance. He took his measurements and invited us to the showroom to make our selection. Hicks has a very large selection of flooring. Carlton knew how to help us in our decision making. He provided different pricing levels and told us which ones would give us the best deal. As soon as the flooring arrived to the warehouse, our installation was scheduled ASAP. Roberto and Anna (husband and wife) were very professional and efficient. They quickly disassembled out old flooring and replaced with the new. GREAT JOB BY EVERYONE. I would never second guess using this company.

Carlton and his crew were incredibly helpful and professional in the work that they did for us. Based on their excellent advice, we refinished an almost 100 year old wood floor and installed new flooring in an adjacent room. Both turned out beautifully!

Reasonable pricing for hardwood floor refinishing, and did a really good job. Their dustless system works well, there was barely any dust in our house.

My wife and I were looking to replace carpet in our home and looked at several places around town. We decided on Hick’s because they were fairly priced, cheaper than Atlas for the same carpet (even though both companies are under Carpet One) and dealt directly with Carlton Hicks. The process was quick, smooth and painless.

We have had several jobs done at our house by Hicks Carpet One and have always been pleased with the results. They may not necessarily always be the cheapest, but they certainly handle quality products and do an extremely professional job. Their installers work hard and are clearly experts in their field, and have always been pleasant, polite and personable. We would not hesitate to hire them again, and would certainly recommend them to anyone. Scheduling work for very specific times and days can be challenging - usually for both buyer and seller - and that is one area in which we feel Hicks could improve. Great overall experience though, with fantastic results that stand the test of time.

We recently experienced severe water damage in our home. The flooring had to be replaced in the entire upstairs area & also in most of downstairs. We had a slab leak leading to an entire tile tear out. We decided to replace the tile with wood throughout the majority of the house. There had been months of frustration trying to repair the tile, so when the opportunity to work with Hicks Carpet One came up, we jumped at the chance to let someone else worry about it. We are so glad we did, as we had wonderful communication with Carlton Hicks as he was our “contractor “ from start to finish. Due to some weather delays, it took longer than expected, but we are now back in our home and very pleased with the result. Hicks had some wonderful craftsmen and they were all very responsive and kind. Would recommend them highly.

I am another unhappy customer of Hicks Carpet One. Last year we decided to re-floored our whole house. The job started in December and it was a comedy of errors from day one. The short story is that I spent six months trying to get Hicks to finish my flooring to my satisfaction. The installer ran out of carpet and pieced together carpet to finish the bottom riser of my stairway. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, the installer said he would find a carpet match at Home Depot or Lowes to redo the job. In addition, there are high spots under the vinyl planking where the floor wasnt floated evenly. Carlton Hicks did not respond to my last few emails so I paid a visit to the store to resolve my problem. The proposed plan wasnt to my liking as I felt it was going to drag out the process even further. I requested to have the carpet delivered to my house. Hicks did not offer any apologies. So I will have to finish the job myself or pay someone to do the job Hicks was supposed to do. Poor, poor customer service.

Look no further. They got your back from start to finish w great communication all the way. From floors, electrical, plumbing, & paint every project was done to perfection.

When it came time to recarpet our home after only 5 years, we knew we needed a product that could withstand our demanding lifestyle, which included heavy traffic and two beloved pets. Carlton Hicks made our search very easy. He directed me to a Carpert One custom product called Lee’s Lifestyle, which came with the absolute best warranty available on the market. He also allayed all my concerns about unanticipated fees and charges, when I showed him a comparable quote from a local competitor, who wanted to nickle and dime us to death. He said “We don’t do that kind of upselling here. If your door needs shaving, we’ll shave it. If your home has some stairs, we don’t punish you for it. We are an all-inclusive company, and we’ll do whatever it takes to get the job done”. And they did. When I told him that my main reason for avoiding new carpet was the media room rewiring, he found a media consultant that could reinstall our home theater system, without having to hire Magnolia Theaters again, and pay them thousands of dollars. The installation was effortless, and trouble-free. We are truely pleased with all aspects of this company: the product, the salesman, and the installers. If I could give them more than 5 stars for outstanding service, I would. Until then, shop with confidence, at Hicks Carpet One.

Bad experience with scheduling and the installation of the laminate flooring. Carlton Hicks did not explain the procedures and left the impression that the job would be finished in 2 days (3 days with pressure). There were no written agreements, follow-ups and when completed (I use completed loosely) no correspondence from Carlton Hicks or the company. Several days later I noticed final payment for completion on my credit card without prior approval. I would not recommend Hicks Carpet One.

I had a smooth and satisfactory experience with Carlton at Hicks Carpet One. Now I have a beautiful floor that will last us our lifetime in our home at a seriously good price. Check them out!
