I will summarize the engagement with MGI. First, the initial installation date was scheduled for the first week of January, but that got pushed for weeks due to all sorts of excuses that I will detail later, and my family didnt have anything but a temporary sink we had to install in the laundry room for a month. The installation didnt go very well because there was a lot of miscommunication between Ed and my wife and Ed and the installer (Dave), and because of a tweak to one of the cabinets the apron on one of the sinks couldnt be installed so Ed promised that they would finish up as soon as we called them, and Dave confirmed the same, so we agreed to pay in full. I reached back out on March 23 to get them to come back and after weeks of communicating with Ed and getting every excuse and explanation possible, and being told that I was wrong about everything, Dave finally made it out today to finish. What was odd about that though is that for weeks Ed was telling me that Dave needed the measurements (so I prepared them), and then Dave needed to know what edges needed to be honed (so I provided that), and then after waiting all of that time and jumping through Eds hoops Dave just showed up yesterday to measure everything himself, and then he showed up today to install the final pieces. So, I am not sure why Ed felt like he and Dave were on the same page but clearly they were not and it seems as though Ed was just making things up in an attempt to buy time.In summary, Ed offers a fair price and then uses subcontractors to fulfill his quotes. He doesnt seem to have any control over his subcontractors so he just tries to keep people happy by providing excuses until the subcontractor arrives, and honestly, that probably works most of the time just fine. I wouldnt ever use Ed again because I feel like he lied over and over and over again when he probably could have just told me that he is doing his best to get the subcontractor to the project and was having a hard time doing so. I also dont like that Ed blamed my wife for problems that clearly werent caused by her. She did make the project more complicated when the installation crew was on our site because she saw opportunities to make things better, but the vast majority of complications were caused because nothing was templated and the installer hadnt communicated well with Ed, and because the installer wasnt paying attention to the fixtures - they were just cutting holes for common fixtures instead of the right holes for our fixtures. Again though, for a simple project I doubt there would have been any problems, but ours was a very large project with details that needed to be paid attention to.

I absolutely recommend this wonderful company for your home projects. From beginning to end, they demonstrated such great character and attitudes. The quality of work is top notch and I couldn’t been happier with the results. Thank you so much for making this step in our kitchen remodel process such a smooth one.

MGI was very efficient when installing our countertops and were always communicating with us through the whole process and had very competitive pricing. Definitely would recommend them to family and friends.

Edward and David are a great team, Im been in the military for 20 years and I always go to 2 or 3 different companies for estimates on almost everything I purchase, I did for my countertops and these guys are cheaper than the other 2 companies and their worksmanship is beautiful. MGI did the granite for our house. The counters were actually a little bigger than what we originally thought but they did the work for the original quoted price which is pretty solid in my book. Turnaround time was less than a week and communication was good. Highly recommend!

After receiving a quote for over $11,000 to replace our granite in the kitchen from a big box store, I decided to give MGI granite a call. They did exactly what we wanted for a third of the cost. They were very responsive before, during and most importantly- after the job was complete.A month or so after the install, I noticed the job needed some more caulking. I contacted them and they came right out to make the repair! Very satisfied and would recommend to anyone wanting great value for their money.
