Ive been a satisfied customer for about 12 years. They always do a great job repairing and servicing my small engine equipment. They are upfront and honest about what is best for equipment. Their honor of the military is an added plus. This is an overall good establishment with customer focus staff that goes to great lengths to satisfy customers.

Very busy the day I was there, but their Customer Service was still awesome! Now, the mechanic shop did an A+ job on my lawn mower! I can tell that they take PRIDE in their work! The price was very reasonable, and I will definitely be coming back! Btw, my mower is running like a Champ! Very happy over here! Thanks, again!

Staff helpful and friendly. I went in expecting to need tune up possibly a blade changed on my lawnmower. Despite it being busy the whole process took approximately 30 minutes. I gave this business 5 stars because every employee that I dealt with today was helpful and kind.

This is the only establishment that sharpens/replaced Ryobi mower blades in my area. They were efficient, friendly, and inexpensive. I plan to continue using their services.

After dropping off our pressure washer April 8, we finally got it back June 30. This was after several weeks of calling them and stopping by because they never reached out to us, only to find out they couldn’t locate it. We were told they would replace it with a brand new one and again, never heard back. After I called again, I was told they had finally located ours- turns out they gave it to another customer by mistake. We finally are told it is ready and pick it up. The washer was damaged with fasteners missing and not at all how we dropped it off- looking basically brand new (the original issue was that it wouldn’t start) The employee went and grabbed fasteners off another machine and put them on ours. In trying to make it right, we didn’t pay for repairs and gave us an attachment, but they kept our $25 deposit. We have yet to see if the washer is actually repaired but either way, won’t be using these folks again, which is sad because the location is very convenient for us.

I bought a replacement primer bulb and two gears in the chainsaw tensioner and had a chainsaw sharpened. I received great service from the front desk gal and good advise from one of the mechanics on duty. I recommend this place for all your lawnmower and trimmers along with a chainsaw for all your repairs.There Are also accessories and many great products to buy.

Unfortunately I walked in last week to purchase a new Echo weed eater and I walked in the showroom and there were two people behind the desk . Not once was I acknowledge or asked for any help. I know they are backed up for weeks but I decided to drive down to Home Depot and purchase it there .

Im Larry and I will be certainly be referring potential customers. This will be a long review but please read all. Great warranty, ethical, and honest is what I have to say about Daniel and this establishment. I brought my weedeater to Daniel not too long ago because it wouldnt start properly on the first few attempts. Daniel adjusted the carburetor on the spot. Recently, it started dying again after about 15 minutes so I brought it back and dropped it off. After initially speaking with Daniel I assumed it would be a costly repair with parts.Daniel called me and stated the carb just needed to be readjusted again. It is sort of one of those situations where you have a car that doesnt work but when you take it to a garage it suddenly works fine. Lol. I really appreciate his honesty and ethical standards. Ive heard horror stories about some places that will order parts when not necessary. This was definitely not the case. I will certainly refer potential customers to them to this establishment. If the owner is reading this I respectfully ask that you please share this with Daniel.

We were in the middle of mowing our yard, when the starter cord wouldnt re-coil. I couldnt re-start the mower. I had to drive it over in the back of a Honda Civic. This time of year, when lawn mower repairs are backed up for weeks, they helped right then and there. They replace the starter. They noticed the starting still sputtered a bit and offered a quick tune-up, replacing the spark plug, and sharpening the blade. I was in and out in 30-minutes. I very much appreciate the prompt service. Who wants their yard cut half-way? Thanks so much!

Broke the pull start housing on my two year old mower. Spoke to Duke on the phone who told me to bring it in and he would get me squared away. Took about 15 minutes from parking my car to leaving. Happy with the service and price. Would highly recommend this business to anyone having lawn mower issues!

Had our power washer repaired by them and it had a small leak after we brought it home and tried using then the COVID-19 happened and the owner was so kind and understanding he fixed it on the spot. The only place we will take our stuff to. Also, he fixed our lawn mower! Extremely reasonable prices great customer service. It was a little far but absolutely worth it to take it to a knowledgeable place.

Went to use my lawn mower for the first time this year and it wouldn’t start. Changed the air filter, spark plug, and added a little bit of gas (had about half a tank, so didn’t feel it needed much) still would start. Took it in and spoke to Duke about the problem and he immediately told me it was an issue with the carburetor due to the gas I was using. He was very confident in his analysis and told me that he could get it fixed in 10-15 minutes if I was willing to wait. He quoted me a fair price and I agreed.True to his word he cleaned the carburetor, flushed out the old fuel, and had it running within 10 minutes. Also told me moving forward not to use gas with ethanol and where I could buy it. Very satisfied, highly recommend these guys!

UPDATE: After going to the shop and speaking to the owner in person, he was able to resolve my concerns and another customer was kind enough to bring my mower home for free. Please be aware that the backlog for repair has increased dramatically due to COVID 19 and staffing. My mower seems to be working well.

A huge Thanks to Certified Small Engine Repair. They helped us out a lot with our generator. When it wasn’t working for us, they repaired it at a very low cost. They took the time to reach out and investigate the warranty. Then, when it was time to sell it, they helped us find a buyer. One day I was just passing by and saw their business along the road and I called to ask if they can repair my Briggs and Stratton generator and they said they specialize in this brand, so I figured why not! I did not have a very good experience with this business. They seem to be very sneaky on their pricing even with my first quote from when I called to when I showed up. The guy I talked to didnt catch his name misquotes over the phone and surprise charges you more after youve agreed to his incomplete pricing. I was expecting to pay around $80 all together and ended up paying $135 to get my lawn mower back. Cannot recommend! Dishonest service! Surprise charges!

Outstanding personal and professional service over the course of two separate visits. I brought in a riding mower that had been in storage for over three years. The staff patiently walked me through repair options blatantly prioritizing cost-effective results that I would be happy with. We ultimately arrived at a solution in which they repaired my machine and sold it on consignment for me.I was so pleased with that visit I brought in a self-propelled machine that had also been in extended storage. The shop owner asked me if I would like to wait while he gave it a quick look over. He had me hang out with him while he explained everything he was doing as he put in new gas, changed the oil, replaced a starter cable, replaced one of the stripped self-propelled wheels and sharpened the blade all in less than 10 minutes.I plan on stopping by in the near future with a chainsaw and a weed eater that could use a little bit of their expert attention.

This company recently changed owners and what a difference it made. More professional, customer oriented and better mechanics. I got a quick turn around on a lawn mower that wouldnt start. They told me exactly what the cost would be when I dropped it off. No surprises. And they now stock and sell ECHO equipment. Ill be going back for sure.

I was recommended to Certified Engine by a friend. They came picked up my riding tractor and delivered it back to our house after repairs made. Stopped by with my lawnmower, they did a quick diagnostic, gave it a tune up in under 15 minutes, and they loaded it back in my car. I also had a couple of enjoyable conversations with several of the employees. These guys are trustworthy, and I strongly recommend this business.

I wonder what other people are paying for their mower repairs. I dont have a truck, so they have picked it up--for $75 (and I live 5 miles away). I was told over the phone this last time that the part I needed cost $15. I also asked that the blade be sharpened--and I was charged $120 (including that delivery charge). Each year for the past three years Ive had some minor work done on it and paid $120 each time. Last year they even said there was nothing wrong--it just had grass in it!Instead of the senior discount, looks like I qualify for the senior mark-up. I would gladly use someone else but cant find anyone. I am really stuck--and really mad.

This repair shop is a lifesaver!! I took my lawnmower in which was a gift from my dad before he passed away was serviced same day. The lawnmower was almost dead and they brought it back to life same day for less than $100 bucks. The quality of work is top notch. I plan to come back in the future.

When I came to it pick up, they helped me load it into my car. My car battery died there and they provided a jump start too. If I need to, I will be a returning customer.

I brought my Echo 58v chainsaw in for repair. The chain and bar oiling system leaks. After a few days they told me there was no leak. I’m sure I’m not imagining the puddle of oil under my saw so I asked the to put it on a piece of cardboard for s few days and look again. Still they insisted there was no leak. I offered to pay them to disassemble my saw and find the problem. A few days later after they insisted still no leak, I paid my $50, and picked up my saw, in a puddle of oil. They explained that they had just set it on an oily shelf. I’m disgusted. I took the saw in within the warranty period but made it clear that if warranty did not cover the repair, I would pay. I want my saw fixed. Does anyone know a reputable chainsaw repair shop within 50 miles of Boerne?

After getting charged a check out fee and being told ‘it can’t be fixed’ by another shop. I called Certified Small Engine Repair. They replaced two valves and checked everything else out for me. Once again my mower is running like brand new! Thanks for the excellent work!

I will never again use this place for repairs. My mower was dropped off 5 May for carborator cleaning. I was told it would be $71.25 for service. I gave them a $25.00 deposit, leaving approx $51 to pay upon pickup. I was told they are a little backed up, should be two weeks for service. No worries. I picked my mower up 3 Jun 2020. However, now my bill was $66 dollars because they had to drain my oil (service not asked for), and replace my air filter (service not asked for). So not only was my mower in the shop for almost a solid month, I had additional fees tacked onto my $51 balance. I called three times (never did I get an update from them) to check on the status of my mower and was told each time we had a mechanic get sick it should be done in a few days. Nope, again almost a solid month of the mower in their shop.Most definitely done with this establishment and passing along my experience to my buddies out at Lackland. Only positive thing...my mower runs now.R. Callaway

This place was brand new last year. Wilson the owner told me he had just taken over the business and was trying to get it off the ground. Well well what a difference a year makes. Last year he was humble courteous and customer friendly. Today I took in my riding lawnmower for a simple tuneup, sharpen the blade, change the spark plug kinda thing. I asked to discuss my bill because I felt it was excessive and I was not contacted to review the fees before work began and he and his little front desk helper Michelle were very short and rude. He admitted that he raised his hourly rate from $75 to $85 per hour no matter what he does to your mower, if he touches it its $85. I have proof he didnt work on it for an hour yet I was charged the full hour. To be fair, after arguing with them, Yes 2 against 1, he decided to cut my labor to $40 the 1/2 hour rate, which is what he actually spent on my mower to begin with. I should not have had to argue my point and arguing with a customer after your business dropped the ball and didnt call me like I asked before the work took place is unacceptable. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR ANY SMALL ENGINE WORK.Their Customer Service needs a major tune up!No more... Stay Away

I was sent here for warranty repair on my weed eater. Greg quickly knew what the problem was and fixed it in five minutes. I didnt have to wait for any warranty work and was in and out! Great Job!

I went to Certified Small Engine for the first time last year (2018) after reading google reviews and I am glad that I did. These guys are not only professional but they provide great advice as needed (e.g., how to take care of lawn mowers to get maximum out of it, use of non-ethanol based fuel to prolong life of the mower). I would highly recommend these guys.

Took two of my lawnmowers to get worked on, 1st was not starting a d second just for a tune up. For both, under $190. 1st one starts like a charm and the resharpened blades are amazing. The second one, just the same, but improved cutting because of the sharpened blades. Friendly service and affordable prices!

Brought my lawn mower in at open on a Thursday. I got an accurate estimate from the very friendly, helpful woman at the front desk. Mower was back running and ready to go by 1:00 pm. Total was exactly what the estimate was. Fast, friendly service and mower works great now. Would definitely recommend.

I took my string trimmer for what I assumed would be a carburetor rebuild. The mechanic quoted me a price if he could get it running and another if I had to leave it. He had it running in about 5 minutes. The front desk guy even carried my trimmer to my car. Excellent customer service, good prices, very pleased.

Lazy and unprofessional

Took my mower in today for tune up. I was hoping for a week turn around to have it serviced. Other shops were 2 to 3 weeks behind. I was pleasantly surprised when the gentleman called a couple hours later after drop off saying it was ready. All 3 employees I encountered were pleasant and easy to talk to. They definitely have my future business!!

Ive been to the shop for lawnmower repair last year and took a chance stopping in with my chainsaw thats been shutting off shortly after start up. They took it to the workshop and showed me how to adjust the idle and it works great now.Definitely coming back here for preventative maintenance for my lawnmower and chainsaws. They even sharpen blades!

Extremely honest. Took my mower in for a no-start. Frankly told me the mower is not worth how much it would cost to service, and gave me tips on how to get it started for cheap, DIY. Ill try it out, and if it doesnt work, mower goes to the graveyard!

Took our lawnmower to be fixed, and paid $75 when it was ready. They claimed to fix the carburetor, took it home and it was still not working. We took it to a different shop, and they fixed for cheaper! Works like a charm now.So I guess we paid $75 for a new spark plug, sharpened blades, and a lie about repairing our mower.Not coming back.

If you need a lawnmower repair well this is not the place to go. We took our lawnmower since was under warranty and were told this was the designated shop. We drop it off and they validated was under warranty. A week when by and we never heard back. Once we called to get an update we were told would finally be ready in a couple of days so we when to pick it up just to find we had to pay for the repairs as it was not covered by warranty. This should have been discussed with us now only option is to pay or they keep it even do we had no choice or say on it. Very poor customer service. Definitely not recommended.

Promised they could replace my carburetor, paid extra for a Polaris carb (more than if I ordered direct from Polaris) and they said have it back next Thursday... five weeks later, after knowing they were riding it all around (debris in tires and several witnesses to prove it - dropped it off clean). They never changed the carb. Had it running with the original carb, riding it all around, bragged about how good it sounded but wanted to tune it before we picked it up. Hours before we were finally going to get it back, they called and told us they ran it with straight gas (still in tank) and burned out my vehicles cylinder. Tried to say they would charge ME to fix their damage of blowing my motor!!! Told me to take it to Polaris and pay for their damage to my property. Taking them to court ASAP. Do not trust these people. Double talking, lying, said they were qualified then blew my motor up after riding my vehicle all around! Then said it was above their skill set to fix what they blew up. Gave me back a blown vehicle that had fine motor when dropped off. Still did not have the new carb on it that I paid for. Avoid this place.

I took my Ryobi 18v weed trimmer that never seemed to work right out of the box. They immediately knew the problem and fixed it at no cost in minutes!! It was a long trek there from my house, but well worth it!!

Don’t waste your money ! We spend $140 on my lawnmower only used twice and they ask $53 again to fix it . Just go buy a new one don’t waste your time and money with this place, I went some where else they said these guy never cleaned my carburetor which I didn’t surprise don’t trust this place
