Bought a new tv, which turned out great, but when I asked about their TV recycle program, everything went downhill. I was told at pickup to just bring the old 48 set by, and they would accept it. I called to make an appointment and was told it would be $25, but no appt needed. Their website states anything under 50 was free, so I called their customer service number to see which information was correct. Was told there was no charge and to show them the page on their site when I got there (keep in mind I was charged a CA recycle fee at time of purchase). Loaded it up and headed out to the store. Talked to guy at the front door and was told to bring it in. As I was carrying it in, the manager Ernesto told me they wont take it. He didnt care what their CS or website said, he just refused. Carry my tv back to my car. Wasted my time with their inaccurate information... frustrated!!!
Super helpful in trying to find what I needed. When one didnt know the answer he didnt just brush me off and say no we dont have it. He asked another employee and got me some help. Perfect service.
A good Best Buy as most of the others. A LOT of products in a huge store, with great prices. The people working there need to be called to help you, but their help is really good. They were not pushy to make you buy products, at least with me. Once I decided what I wanted to buy, they got me the product and the payment was smooth. The refund policy is great, if you didnt like the product you can get it no questions asked.
Nice place with plenty of choices for electronics, cell phones, labtops, phone watches, house appliances. Nice and friendly staff. This location in San Bruno is closing down October 31.

Truth is Im much more of a Frys Electronics kinda guy simply because Frys offers so much more in terms of sheer size and selection, however, beyond Frys, Best Buy is my second choice when it comes to Electronics. Ive always had a great experience at Best Buy and they stand behind their products. I do my own tech but recently had to thank Geek Squad for doing an outstanding job if repairing my fathers PC and then standing behind it a few months later when he got into trouble with some malware...... Highly recommend Best Buy!!!
I went to the store to fix a simple problem and unfortunately one of the managers the Latin woman with a black shirt who I wont name was completely useless and told me she couldnt do anything for me. Thanks for the other gentleman, believe he was Filipino? heavyset man was very nice and took the time to fix a problem Best Buy had created. My advice to you, if you have an issue, ask for any manager but the Latin woman in the black polo shirt.
They updated Novembers Sunday operation hours starting from 11 am. However, Google Maps says it is still 10 am. I had to hang around aimlessly for an hour last Sunday. However, after they opened, they were very quick finding my pick-up items. I am both a bit upset but also happy.

Best Buy is a total fail when it comes to helping customers. I suppose if you know exactly what you need you can get it here at a good price. However, if you need help getting a cellphone and you have questions, skip it. They cant be bothered.I also was looking at a Mac but no one could get it connected to the internet. All in all a waste of time.I hear there is a good guy in the TV department.

Ive been to other stores during the pandemic. Best buy idk if they are in trouble but barley anything on the shelfs. Before you walk in the warned you we might not be able to help not that i need it but other customers maybe put off by this

I went in for a washer and dryer after being frustrated at Sears, Home Depot and Lowe’s not having anything matching or what I actually wanted. I talked with 2 different sales people and both were very good. I didn’t have to wait very long for Sheldon to show up. Then Michelle came to answer questions beyond Sheldon’s knowledge. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I walked out with exactly what I originally wanted.My only disappointment with this store is when I called to ask about a part that was missing with the dryer, nobody would answer the phone. I kept being put on an automated hold and then hung up on, requiring me to call back several times. I never did get to talk to anyone. This forced me to drive up there on the chance they may not have the part. By the way... I don’t live that close.
Went in to buy a laptop with my wife & walked out without buying anything. Store was nice & clean with a good layout but the employees were too concerned about having a great conversation amongst themselves to come help us or the others that were looking. They dont want our money thats fine. Just go in knowing what youre looking for & walk out unless you buy it online....
Didnt end up buying anything here, just stopped by for some questions. The two guys are the Geek Squad counter were super helpful and nice. No pressure to buy, simply a knowledgeable team. Would come back to buy next time.
I had actually stopped going to this particular Bestbuy for the longest due to the customer service. I came into this location for the first time in a long time to find a IPhone and Eli and Farrah gave me stupendous service and literally had the answer to all my questions. I usually only review if my service is really good or really bad, so I wanted to give them a shoutout and they deserve to be recognized for there kind service . I will return back to this location if I need any other electronics . Thank you !
They have a good selection of products. I enjoy browsing the isles. You can probably find better deals online but theres a convenience to having a physical store to pick something up if you need it ASAP.
They really have trouble with the covid curbside. I think its systemic to Best Buy. Be prepared to wait a short time. The employees are friendly and accomodating.

My experience here was honestly pretty smooth and seamless, a complete 180 from what I dealt with via their website. Short description, I ordered a laptop (open-box) online, almost 2hrs later received email that werent able to confirm details. Called the store to ensure i could purchase in person considering i was unable to online. I was told that i absolutely could. Needless to say the young lady who assisted me, remembering Im outside and shes on the otherside of a plastic shield, was super efficient and was able to locate the item in a few moments. Im one who enjoys being surprised especially when it comes to.customer service. So thank you Best Buy for hiring competent individuals!!!

I’ve spent the past month (2-3 calls a week) on the phone with Geek Squad. Yet my laptop still does not work! I finally got an appointment for an in store repair. I was told they would have to send my laptop out for repairs. I’m expected wait another month for them work on my laptop. With Shelter in Place in effect, I cannot wait a month without my laptop!When I asked to speak with the manager, the tech guy, Enesto, said he was the manager. I pushed further to speak with someone else. Enesto paged someone who came over. I asked who he was. He said his name was Shane, the general manager. This is his store.I called out Enesto’s lie about being the manager. That when the entire situation escalated. Shane did nothing to diffuse this situation. In fact he added fuel to an already tense situation. He said I had to accept his terms or take my business somewhere else.What really ended this experience for me was when Shane accused me of not being sensitive to the impact of COVID on his store. His store? For a month I have been patient. I finally get an appointment for this repair and was met with hostility.I truly hate that I am stuck in this situation.Best Buy sucksd!f
Its a pretty average Best Buy, nothing really bad about it. Employees are good and ask you if you need help but this stores a little smaller than others so check online first if your product is available in this store.
Recycling service was very helpful. I am willing to spend some money on the way instead of waiting to get shipped online.

I would love to give this place a better rating for both times they got my the correct product. However, the customer service can be lacking when searching for specific products. For myself I am patient and was okay with waiting but for people who are in a hurry this situation could have been completely different. Placed an online order for pick up and it kept saying in stock but waited a week but they wouldnt fill the order. I ended up having to visit the store, buy the item myself, and cancel the online order since they wouldnt let me fill my own order.

Its a Best Buy. There is not too much different or special about it. I am kind of disappointed as they got rid of the Samsung Booth, as Im a Samsung user. They do have a lot of things on display, but they are a bit pricier than Amazon or other places.
Parking is usually good. Bathroom is maintain. Sometimes its too busy and its hard to get somebody to help. Cashiers are usually on top of their game. Salespeople are 4/5. Repair 4/5. Customer Service 4/5.
I like going to Best Buy to try something that I want to buy, and then compare with other stores to see which has the best price. I also visited the store for a trade-in, and the transaction was pretty smooth.

There is always parking at this Best Buy. It is also nearby a lot of other stores, so it is not out of the way when buying groceries or other shopping gifts.The people are nice and are always willing to price match if you ask for it.

Everything is good except the fact that some of the staffs dont know the exact sale and price of the product. I had to pay more than what I was said the price was initially and also the deals were completely different when I tried checking out the item. Was really disappointed cause I really needed a laptop and had a certain budget. Was really disappointed to pay more than what was promised.
Best Buy policy forces you to buy another item if you return something after 15 days. Wasting my time now I have to buy something else. They don’t have the type of monitor I want and the one I bought was not on display when I bought it. This is Silicon Valley people are busy and I can’t just keep a monitor in my car until I have the time it’s not safe. Best Buy super rigid, bad customer service
Came here to look for gaming chairs. They didnt have any in-store. Numerous open-box items were on sale. Great place to buy electronics. The people manning the door were very jolly!
This store is one of the smaller Ive seen. They often dont have the products Im looking for in stock, I assume due to its smaller size, and the staff for the most part doesnt know the products enough to offer anything I couldnt learn from simply teasing the description. I check online first, if they have a specific product in stock, Ill drop in because of the convenient location but its not a place I come unprepared with the intent of just browsing.

Tough to get assistance and when you do,aervice is slow and unprofessional. My particular cashier referred to me as Dear, about six times and she us likely 1/3 my age. Lastly, items are way overpriced. Ended up getting what I needed at Target for a much better price.
Best Buy has been a lot more consistent lately. They could be staffed a little bit better but the offerings have been very good. I have been particularly interested in exclusive Blu-rays and I found them to be better then the offerings of their competitors.
The last of the few places where you can go get something instantly. Its a matter of time before they close down. Its very sad but thats the trend I see.

Horrible experience - I was manipulated by an employee to sign up for a credit card. He said it was just a simple rewards program and told me directly that it was not a credit card. 5 months later I realized that I had an unpaid $250 bill that took 100 points off of my FICO score. I should have been more careful. This was very predatory and I will never shop here or any other BestBuy again. I blame the company for this - reminds me of Wellsfargos scam.

Excellent fast and friendly service. I was doing a return and a pickup order here. The associates were friendly, knowledgeable and processed my order quickly. The store is clean and well laid out. Management also seemed really friendly.

I felt like I was being profiled and harrassed with a facade of friendliness. Then followed out to my car when I went to get my phone to bring in and try on cases. It was really quite uncomfortable. But I still needed a phone case for my phone, so i just ignored their harrassment and continued to buy the case. Not going to bring my business back to this location.
Overpriced tech store with good service...if you get lucky. Many of the things I shop for at Best Buy have been very overpriced vs other places. As with any other tech store, you may get lucky with your sales associate and get a knowledgeable one who wants to help, or get stuck with the guy who doesnt know anything and just wants to sell you something, or the associate that doesnt care. Beyond that, the store looked very clean and professional.
Let me tell you a story. Went in to recycle some old speakers. Kudos for that service. As intended by marketing gurus, I couldnt help myself and went to check out some laptops. Saw a $1300 gaming laptop. Looked online and saw a REALLY similar model for $1200. I told them, look, the difference between these two models is not significant for me. This is the same laptop for my intended purposes. (ableton) I didnt care about the graphics card at all. I wanted the ram and processor. I said, give me $50 off sticker price and Ill walk out with it right now. Ill pay $50 to have it today. 20 minutes of checking with the manager and the manager said no. Oookkk... Bought the other laptop on Amazon got it 2 days later. Sorry best buy. Nothing wrong with the product or the price. But learn to say yes. That laptop will be on your shelf another 6 months and then youll drop the price by $100. You know Im right. 👋
Blue shirt people everywhere but nobody really available. Young man helped, but minimally. His breath smelled of alcohol whether from the night before or the morning, couldnt tell, but it was strong. Minimal assistance so I had to go on Google to compare the products. After about 20 minutes, I made a choice and paid for it. The check out service was courteous, but the system was sorry slow. Cashier indicated its ironic that this place sold have such slow connectivity - well said!

The store is clean in the people are helpful. Most of my experience recently with Best Buy has been with the Geek Squad.I bought a computer originally that seemed too large for me once I got it home and started to play around with it. Ireturned it for a smaller one even though the price was a little higher. Seemed a good fit until I had to spend 9 hours & 3 days with the GS tech support (in-store & remotely)...UGH! Finally they set it up completely and I took it home ready to go. But not! It did not work properly. Not wanting to endure another nine hours of trying to get this thing to work by going into the store I hadschedule an appointment with the GS manager to talk to him more about my experience thus far.When I arrived at the store, he was very busy but took time to help me. He looked over the notes I had made on the notepad on my current laptop about what wasnt working right and he started to look more into it to see what the issue could be. It turned out that I had a very slow processor within this and I had no idea. I couldnt figure out why videos were very very choppy and nothing was working the way I had hoped since I had paid more money for it. He asked me why I chose this and I told him the price point in the size. He asked me if I had to keep that size if I was open to going back to the larger one. I said a dependent. I asked him if he could help me find a computer that would give me more bang for my buck! Miraculously, he did! He found one actually that saved me $40 and had not 32GB but 500GB of RAM!!So Im hoping, as they say, third is a charm and my Goldilocks days of trying three different computers is over. they were gracious and helpful and very patient and kind. I highly recommend this store to anyone.
This place has a loud high pitched beeping sound that squeels continuously for a full minute then would pause for a minute and repeat, kinda sounds like an alarm that is going off from electronics being removed from the display mount. It goes off all day and has been going off for at least a year now. When I ask the employees about it they just tell me they are used to it. Drives me crazy whenever I need something, and I only go to this store as a last resort.
Its an ok best buy. They dont have much of a selection and their shelves are next to bare. The staff are very helpful and eager to assist you in anyway they can, but young and not very knowledgeable about electronics, They are also not very knowledgeable about where stuff is in their own store sending you on wild goose chases. I love going to electronics stores and dont need their help for the most part, but if you did you might be a little disappointed.
I think the place is good if you want to buy electronics. The best part is that if you tell them it us cheaper on Amazon, they will check that instantly and match the price
San Carlos has very bad Customer Service. Make sure if you buy online for Store Pickup, that you call store. I bought online and arrived at store to tell me that item wasnt in stock???!.
I prefer this location much more than a San Carlos location. Staff actually seemed like they wanted to help me instead of passing me off to the next employee.

Did not care for this location at all, it looks old, smells old and it felt so muggy inside it stopped my bestfriend and I from staying in the store to look around for some things and heading over to a different location. Workers werent really friendly like at other ones so that was a bit weird the people at the door were friendlier than the people working the floor.

Best buy is a good place to buy computers like laptops and PC and cameras and TVs but not a good place to buy phones and if you want to put a screen protector on your phone its going to take long. Becouse most of employees dont know how to put on screen protectors so dont buy phones and phone accessories. Oh and also its a good to buy video game consoles and drones
