Its such a nice autoshop to go to. They have so many different mustang cars being worked on! Its like a car museum! The staff is so nice and helpful! It doesnt matter what time we arrive during the work day, they are always eager to help you by taking their time to show you the details of how your cars would look with the variety of different colors in parts! This place is so good that I just had to write a review..something I rarely if ever do. The owner Peter is an outstanding Pro and runs a fantastic shop with high quality mechanics and output. The place is loaded with classic stangs and they know them inside and out. I struggled mightily to find a shop that had the know-how to work on my 72 Cobra Jet and the Mustang Shop more than fits the bill. Best part of all is that they are just wonderful people to deal with and really care about you and your car. You wont regret taking your precious care and entrusting it with this place. Called the phone number after looking at the website that they say they work on modern mustangs all this talk about coyote swaps and Whipples the guy on the phone tells me they only work 73 and older ! Either this guy I talked to on the phone is lying or they are false advertising .

Mike and his team are true professionals. Dont waste your time going to another place, these guys are great. I told Mike what I was trying to accomplish, he sent me his recommendations, I chose what to do and what not to do, and they handled it. I have been back several times over. This is a trustworthy mechanics shop with incredible knowledge on the Mustangs, all years. Call and ask for Mike, hes the man!

First time taking my 65 into a shop. Seeing all the Mustangs they had in their shop gave me an immediate sense of confidence that these guys all knew everything there is to know about Mustangs. Had some gauge issues and they installed a used instrument cluster in good condition for a great price. Also pointed out I had a hole in my brand new radiator that I had no clue about. Friendly service and will be taking my Mustang back in the future.

Took my 65 Fastback in there for various service items and the service was 5 star. Peter is a Mustang genius and one of the nicest shop owners Ive ever met. I will always use these guys for any Mustang related work.

Extremely awesome friendly service, was in town for a short amount of time but they were on the ball with the assist. Shop looks like a showroom, a testament to their quality of meticulous work. Cant recommend this place enough.

Recently purchased an 03 Cobra Terminator. Brought it here to have an inspection done. They did 180 point inspection and an oil change. Everyone was super helpful and friendly, I even met the owner Peter. Mike was very informative on what items needed to/should be repaired with NO PRESSURE to do the repairs at their shop. I got a quote for the few things needing to be done and found very their prices to be very competitive. Needless to say, I will be a repeat customer. Highly recommend this shop!

Best Hot Rod Ford Mechanics

Called and asked about getting a quote on my 2008 GT500 was told they only work on 64 1/2 to 73 mustangs but thats not what is reflected on their webpage not by other reviews obviously, they need to update their web page if thats the case. Disappointed to say the least.

I highly recommend the Mustang Shop of San Diego for any/all of your Mustang needs. They fixed a variety of issues on my Mustang that the other San Diego area Ford and/or Mustang shops tried to fix but failed. My car is running better than it ever has before. Peter is the owner and a man of his word – a straight shooter.

This shop is one of the best Ive experienced regarding classic Mustangs and Fords. Very knowledgeable staff that listens to your needs and will not push to sell you on any product/ services if your car doesnt need it yet.Absolutely fair pricing on parts and labor, punctual staff, and can do anything from a minor repair/ replace to a custom car show build. I cannot not say enough good things about Peter and his crew over there at The Mustang Shop of San Diego. The service from start to finish was just incredible. I have a 2017 Mustang Ecoboost and wanted to replace my stock intercooler on the car. Called the shop up they said bring it on over, 2 hours later my car is done and my car is better than ever literally they have earned a customer for life. I had the best experience at mustang Shoppe, I had a car towed there that I was considering purchasing and Mike and his team gave it a thurogh check . It ended up that I did not purchase the car, but the guys at the shop were able to point out flaws that I would have never seen . They saved me from possibly getting my self into a really big can of worms . They had a lot of amazing cars and even showed me what I could get for just a little bit more money . If not for Mike and his guys, who knows what might have happened . If you are ever considering a car I highly recommend that you go see Mike first . Thanks for all your help. I will be back !

Learned on the way to San Diego that my front windshield had a terrible rainwater leak. A check of reviews for local Classic Mustang specialist turned up The Mustang Shoppe. I just showed up and asked about resetting the windshield. They were able to do it while I waited. While I was there I had a chance to look at their work on other cars. A high quality of craftsmanship shows in their work, Very helpful, Very professional. Highly recommended

I just purchased my 1968 Mustang GT and remembered Peter at the Mustang Shoppe from work down in the past. He and shop manager Mike gave me a competitive quote to install a modern Borgeson power steering system. They just completed the job on time and the system works great. Of course theres always something that is unexpected when dealing with an almost 50-year-old car, with the steering column and mounting not in good shape, yet their expert mechanics made sure the install was secure and a quality job. They even fixed other little things on the way like my horn. I was very happy and even decided to ask to do a little more with a tune up and that was a good experience too. These guys take care of their customers and I wont hesitate to go back. Im more proud of my mustang now than before I took it in! Thanks Peter, Mike and all the good people at the Mustang Shoppe!

Thay are loud and do not respect there there neighbors thay speed up and down the street thay burn out all the time thay need to respect the fact that thay are next to a park with kids and homes where people dont want to hear the cars all day

Very unclear from the start on price of total service and parts being used, actually told me his supplier didnt want to say the name of the product over the phone... They were able to resolve the price in the end to an extent which was very good of them. A few bad eggs can really spoil a place that seemed to be trustworthy. I might bring my classic here but never anything newer than the sn95.

It was a great expiriance . The boss helped me out with my 69 mustang, and gave me great, fast, and full service . For anyone that needs assistance with anything involving their mustang, this place is the way to go !!!!!!👍🏻
