After doing some leg work on electronic vehicles my husband decided that the VW ID4 was the one for us. It has the most miles to the charge. Its about 196 miles. We bought the white one and the tablet on the dashboard is huge. The vehicle had mood lighting inside and the seats have rolling massagers in them. So much comfort. It never fails…. Their so called express service is never fast even with appointments. Just for an oil change it’ll take 5 hrs..?!!!! When we take our car here we always wait that long. The man said they took in over 100 appointments and walk-ins, like who does that?!

I love this VW dealership and the service department. On this most recent visit I was informed that my car had a recall that needed a software update. Sal and his trainee walked me through what that entailed along with getting me set for my regular maintenance.It was ready same day and the way Sal reviewed what was completed on my Jetta made me even more confident in what was done and the quality of the work.

Volkswagen Kearny Mesa is a top-notch Sales and service department although I didn’t buy my car there they have serviced it and done the warranty work for my cc, oh it’s expensive but they do serious detail evaluations And service and their customer service is impeccable in spite of the fact that they are extremely busy, More Ike swamped most of the time, Tina and Josh are amazing each one giving stellar customer service and understanding that it’s not always possible to have all of the recommended things done. I am happy with the ID4. However, I would have liked a more detailed explanation of the vehicle’s features and how to use it when I test drove it. I had to go to the dealership 4 days after to get another overview of the car’s functionality and features. Some of my questions were answered but others were not. I would suggest better training for your employees on your newer vehicles so that customers can get a better experience and make an informed decision.

One of the worst experiences ever. They were slow and took forever. Plus, they wouldn’t do 3rd party financing. I wanted to go with a very well known company that focuses on providing services to military personnel and military families and they turned it down. This dealership definitely doesn’t honor or work with military. Really sad that a company operates this way. Will never go back and I definitely don’t recommend this dealership. The worst!!!

Great experience. I think this was the best car buying experience Ive ever had. They were able to beat Mossys price, and they had us in and out fast. Our salesman Raul worked with us and got us where we needed to be in our new Jetta We expected big mark ups because everyone else had them, but they were honest and straight forward.

2018 Atlas required repair for internal coolant leak due to faulty head gasket. Apparently not uncommon issue. Disappointing for such a new vehicle. Most car companies have figured out how to build a naturally aspirated V6 engine that lasts more than 3 years. Required scheduled service as well ($500 for spark plugs, cabin filter, tire rotation, and oil change - terrible deal). Took 10 days to repair. No updates along the way, but immediately enrolled in their spam email list. Had to drain/flush the oil which mixed with coolant due to the leak, still charged me for the oil change as if it were part of the scheduled service. (They also had oil change itemized on the warranty-covered list for the coolant leak so they are either defrauding me or Volkswagen Corporate since we both were charged for oil changes.) No loaner offered until we were on our way to finally pick up vehicle, and received call that it was not ready after another warning light went off on their test drive (they forgot to connect a sensor correctly). Better car companies/cultures exist and will be sought out in the future for our family vehicles.

The level of service and professionalism was far beyond what I expected. From the initial contact to the delivery, the process was streamlined and thorough. The staff have a vast amount of knowledge, which they are all eager to share with enthusiasm. The finance department uses an up to date electronic signature pad for all the documents, making it quick and painless. My expectations were definitely exceeded. They under promise and over deliver time after time, which is why this latest purchase was also my 5th.

Incredibly rude and unprofessional staff. I was told by a service rep that I could pick up my car on a Sunday (it was just sitting in the lot after I paid for my service). When I arrived at the location to pick it up (with my car keys with me) they would not allow me to take the car. They even told me they would call the cops if I tried to take it myself (even though that was the arrangement I had made with service weeks ago). I told them I had paid for my service and tried to just find a solution, and was shut down and treated very disrespectfully. I left crying and upset - I tried to work with them to make the situation better but was further berated, interrupted, and even laughed at. I couldn’t believe the unprofessional behavior of the manager especially.

They seem to be consistently understaffed or overbooked, but I know they do their best to accomodate as many customers as they can realistically handle. The work is great, although slightly overpriced. Check their website/emails for some valuable service promos/coupons. I got a $100 oil change for $50 today.

Was able to make appt quickly. However, at check in nothing was said about them having to keep it overnight. When we called 4 hours after Drop off the person said theyd assumed they were keeping it overnight and they hadnt finished it! Why would they assume we could do without a car for 2 days! Getting rides, taking off work to get it there, ride back and NOT have it finished? Now we have to do the same thing all over again to get it finished! Why wouldnt they call and say we may need to keep it? Why wait until the customer, who is expecting a call to say its done, makes a call to get an update. Service person said they were real busy . Why make appointments if they cant finished. Why not TELL the client they may have to keep it? Poor customer service.

I’m disabled and bought this car seen only on the internet. I would have given them 5 stars but when I asked for the sales person to send me photos of the damage on the car they sent me two photos and missed what seems obvious to me, the grill emblem that was missing and broken and the large tear in the arm rest of front passenger door. The car is used so I can’t complain. Kearny Mesa Volkswagen was more than accommodating and delivered the car to my home. I would definitely recommend this dealership!

I was stunned by the bad service I got from them. From drop off to pick up and everything in between. The guy that I dealt with was actually rude and difficult to communicate with. I was denied a ride back because my home was .7 miles further than the 5 mile limit, which I was not aware of, so I had to make my own arrangements to get a ride back and wait. Then they called me at 4pm to tell me that the car was ready. When I came to pick it up at 5pm I still had to wait half an hour to get it back. Then when I turned on the engine the radio was blasting and that is not how I left it! Last but not least, I am not happy with the work they did. I paid a ton of money, and there is still some expensive work to be done. Before I had my car serviced regularly at another VW dealer where I lived in Orange county and never had an issue with them. These guys are different...

Not the excellent experience I have had in the past. I had to get my Atlas towed in because it wouldnt start. Was told it could be the battery and if i had any other issues to check. I said the check engine light came on and wanted inspected. The following day I got a message about recommendation for a battery replacement, but no regards to my other issue. Usually the consultant will call to discuss recommendation but they never did. Friday morning I decided to call and was just told i sent you the invoice, yes but it doesnt explain anything or why the battery would cost $480. I approved the battery and finally another 2 days later I got a call saying my vehicle was ready. So it takes 3 full days after approval for a battery replacement and no mention of my vehicle being further inspected like I requested.

Excellent service dept. This was my first experience with Volkswagen of Kearny Mesa.Everyone was courteous, and my service advisor was knowledgeable with my car.The job was done by lunch time.Nice work!Bert
