I like this lake because its peaceful and it has beautiful view. There is a walking trail for those who might enjoy one. There are also boat rentals. There is small store that you can purchase a few snacks. We got some water, chips and a few postcards. We also saw some picnic tables. Overall, it was a great experience.

Great place to bring the family. Currently youll need to wear a mask if you are out of your car. Amazing bike trails and good fishing. The lake is open on certain dates for boat rentals so please check the website. There is a snack shop that sells bait. I think you can also drop your own boat in the water after an inspection. The lake currently has a lot of water for exploring and finding the perfect fishing hole. Its also a good place to start or end a road rally be it in your favorite sports car or motorcycle.

Great staff, really helpful getting paddle boards and kayaks in the water.Everyone staying Covid safe. Lots of tables for laying out the food and drinks.

Beautiful Lake right off the freeway :-) over 25 miles of hiking and biking trails, relatively flat.

Went out to lake Hodges with a friend did some fishing! Had a nice day at the lake rented a boat. Very nice experience

There are tons of trails, boat docks and bike paths. We enjoyed riding our bike around and spent a day there. Lots of parking also.

A jewel of north county especially when foggy on the coast and it’s sunny out at the lake. Great place for walk or ride.

Really nice trails for walking or biking. For mountain biking I recommend starting on the pomerado side, riding towards the lake and Hernandez hideaway restaurant.

One of my all time favorites in san diego. The water is lower than its ever been, I hope someone rich wants to help fix it soon considering everyone wants to live by it and it makes their houses worth WAYYYY more.

We took our dogs here on a hike and we absolutely loved it however upon arriving home we realize that their little paws were sort due to the train and narrow Trails, and the rocky Shoreline. Other than that it was a beautiful, peaceful and Serene atmosphere. The park was clean and well maintenance. It wasnt overcrowded however it wasnt during I guess busy business hours because the store was not open but it didnt really matter if they werent going there for the store we were going there for the walk and the walk was amazing.

Everyone is nice and friendly in the boat house (including Sean) but I swear there area zero bass in this lake! We rented an all day boat on two separate occasions and had zero luck. It was also announced that the price of boat rentals was going to rise from $53 to $75 (not their fault but rather the management company). This is on top of the $8 per angler per day permit. I am not sure we will be returning any time soon.

Great lake to boat on, friendly staff, clean restroom, lots of goodies at the store.

Had to stop in here after wiping out on the mountain bike, and the nice lady behind the counter was happy to help and gave me some supplies out of their first aid kit. I offered to buy a pack of band-aids or give a donation of some sort but she refused and was happy to help.

Lake Hodges is an excellent north county spot for hikes, mountainbiking, and birdwatching. Great for families a terrain isnt too difficult.
