Tried to make a return. It took them over 20 minutes and 3 people to tell me that you cant all make returns at any ACE hardware only sometimes special returns. I honestly still have no idea how a company operates this way. I will put my bets on ACE being out of business by 2030 unless something changes in their management, organization, and operations. Im now done with ACE forever and will buy my hardware from a better hardware store.

I enjoy going to Tierrasanta Ace Hardware for several reasons. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. They always have what I need. Its fun place to look around- lots of fun kitchen and entertaining items.

Bad customer service experience. None of the ACE commercials say independently owned so they will refuse a return from another ACE when you have the receipt and its an unopened item. From now on people shop at Lowes and Home Depot because ACE helpful hardware store is not the TRUTH.

These guys are always super helpful and usually have whatever I need in stock. I regularly get bird seed, wood chips, and the random tool that I need here.

Placed an order for curbside pick up. There were 2 parts to my order and the first part was ready almost immediately. Picked up 2 days later, and Miranda made it super easy, and was super nice. Great communication from everyone involved. They let me know the second part would be available next week. Thank you for making my shopping experience as safe as possible.

My mini Hulk toddler popped the screen off our door and finally decided to get it fixed. David said it would be no problem. Before I knew it I had a brand new screen. He and everyone else I spoke with was so helpful and friendly despite the heat wave combined with busted AC units and weekend crowds. 10/10 would recommend and come back.

Update 05/12/20: shortly after posting my initial review Mike, the owner of the store asked me to call him and give him a chance to make the situation right. Mike was very apologetic, told me that he spoke with Mikey about his behavior and loaded the pool into my car when I stopped by to pick it up the next morning. I love supporting small businesses, and this is why! The issue was quickly addressed and corrected. Thanks MikeAwful, awful, awful. I placed an online order for a pool for my 17 month old and received an email about 15 minutes after I paid saying that my order was ready for pick up. I loaded my kid into the carseat & left to pick up the pool. When I got there, there was a sign in front of the door saying that the store was closed for the day. While I understand our circumstances are different due to Covid,I was obviously disappointed when I saw the sign but also saw two associates standing inside the store. I knocked on the window and told one of the associates, a woman who claimed to be the owner, that the pool sitting right next to the door was mine. The woman asked me what my name was & I told her my name. Before she could say anything else a young man by the name of Mikey YELLED across the store “no no no we’re not opening the doors absolutely not”. It was so rude & obnoxious I laughed at first because I thought he was being sarcastic. I looked at the woman and told her I received an email saying that my order ready for pick up. The woman claims but she called me, however I don’t have a missed call or voicemail from today at all. I then brought up how extremely rude Mikey was and asked her if she was okay with her employees talking to paying customers that way. She tried to give me a sob story about him being stressed and overworked. Okay?? I guess stress means you can be rude to a customer now. So much for “we are all in this together”! I will be canceling my order since obviously these people are giving customers the run around and are OK with speaking to people in a degrading manner.

Horrible experience!!!! Called to make sure they had a product. Said they did. Then when I got there they did not have it. Then the lady who I’m guessing is the manager gave me a bunch of attitude. “Saying we have tons of boxes back there. If you wanna go through them you can. I will NEVER shop there again. It also like a thrift store.

The employees are very friendly and helpful. I needed a bolt cutter and was about to pay $40 for the tool, but the guy who was helping me told me I could just rent one from them for $6 instead. It all worked out great.

LOVE this place. Fantastic selection, good prices, very helpful staff (unlike the big box stores), knife sharpening, screen repair, garden, key copying. They have it all.

Excellent customer service! Always helpful and usually have what you need. If they dont have it, in many cases they will order it. We always shop here first before going to the larger home improvement stores. Also a great selection of unique gifts and stocking stuffers.

This store always has good personnel to help with repair and remodel needs. There is a huge selection of hardware, paint, key blanks, plumbing, electrical and household nick knacks. They are very knowledgable about their product lines and even have a list of people that help with tasks.

The customer service was very helpful.

Always friendly service, plus you are now able to get a copy of your car keys for far less than dealership prices. Spent $189 to get my SUV key made and programmed, while a Ford Dealership told me it would cost me roughly $580 for them to do it.

I love this Hardware Store. The team are all helpful and knowledgeable. Also love Rocky the Dog.They had the submersible pump I needed for the pool before the backyard flooded!

This store has the best customer service of any establishment Ive ever been to. Hands down! If you need a particular bolt, or nut, they will help you find it instead of just saying they are in aisle 5.The only thing I can complain about is that they close too early.

I have had outstanding advice and service at Tierrasanta Ace Hardware. I recommend them every time I get a chance to do so. If only all businesses could be like they are.

I think John and Steve are correct. The employees are always friendly, eager to help, and can find the items you are looking for. The warehouse stores cant find anything with a map to go by. I know where more of their products are than the employees do. It may cost me a little more to shop at Ace, but as far as I am concerned, it is worth it. Mr Black, I am sorry you had a bad experience, give them another shot, it might be worthwhile.If I need lumber, I go to Lowes. My last trip to Lowes cost me 30 minutes while I waited for a forklift to get out of the way of the product I needed.

A great neighborhood resource. Sincere service and very rarely do I have to go to a big box store to find something I need. If its a dollar or two more on occasion to support them, I certainly dont mind. My first stop is always the Tierrasanta Ace.

A great store for hardware instead of home depot or lowes for quick shopping trips and close to the freeways! Great knowledgeable staff and friendly service!

Although small, they do usually have what I need in stock.Obviously you wont be going here to get large quantities of lumber, but otherwise they have most of the small stuff that you would need. Even pool chemicals.Their paint section is comprehensive as well.

Make the trip to Lowes!Im not impressed by their customer service or their product line. In the less than 10 times that Ive visited this store Ive left unhappy more than not.They are way overpriced. I recently did a cost comparison at Lowe’s, my $45 order at Ace turned in to $33 at Lowe’s for the exact some quality of product.Its very convenient, but even more aggravating.

Long-time Tierrasanta residents will remember - this location has always had some of my favorite or most interesting stores. At one time there was a second-hand store here and later it was a pet store, which was awesome when I was growing up.But back to the review. Ace has friendly and knowledgeable staff who are eager to help. The store may be small-ish but they have had a good selection for every item that I have ever gone in there for. From screws to glue to pesticide to garage door parts to springs to steel rods and more - Ive found each item I needed there.I will gladly support the small town/mom and pop businesses even if I have to pay a couple of dollars more (for the record, their prices arent that bad). Its been years since the old Tierrasanta hardware store closed (where Autozone is now) and it is sorely missed.Who wants to drive to Lowes or Home Depot when Ace is right here? Forget the money, its about my time. We now have a hardware store and an auto parts store. Lets try to keep them both... unless you would rather have another Hallmark, dog wash, bad Mexican food, or overly expensive dentist.
