They designed a custom- entertainment center with glass doors and inside lights for me. It is a very nice piece of furniture and the installation went very well. Very nice quality. I highly recommend California Closets.

I recommend california closet to anyone. Solid, sturdy, high quality materials. We contacted them to design our kids bedroom closet and they are very prompt to respond. Our designer was Wellington Shores, very knowledgeable at what he does, very creative, very pleasant and gave us a discount. The installation went very smooth and lasted for 2-3 hours. We are very satisfied. Lifetime warranty. Price is a little bit on the higher end but well worth it. We will definitely use them again.

Our closets look wonderful. Cameron was responsive and followed up very quickly on the changes we requested. My only complaint is that the hanging bars are very high. It’s difficult to judge this on a plan, but easier for the people in the business to get this right considering the clients ‘ heights.

There were long awaited storage cabinets in my sewing room, very simple. It is wonderful to have it done. There was a problem with the installation but they were out the next week to resolve it and made the repairs effectively.

Carlos, the carpenter who installed the cabinet, was also conscientious and skilled with the installation, since my project was tricky and needed more attention to detail. This was a follow-on project with this company, because were were very happy with the initial stage. Claudia Hemmi is a superb designer, and the custom cabinet system she designed for converting a small bedroom to a study was perfect, providing a highly functional and attractive workspace along with a murphy bed which converts the room back into a guest bedroom when needed.

I am thrilled with both our master bedroom closets that California Closets designed and installed. Elena was our designer. She was patient, professional and a joy to work with. My small, oddly shaped walk in closet really needed a professionals eye to provide a solution for maximum hanging space, shoe storage and drawers. Elena’s design exceeded my hopes. I’m told it like a ‘stars’ closet. The installers were on time, pleasant and cleaned the closet when done. The quality of the material used is 5 stars. There was one item that did not work as we expected and CA Closets went above and beyond to provide options and a solution. I highly recommend California Closets.

I have never been so disappointed with a business. Not only did it take an extended time to for the company to receive my closet doors, but I was contacted the day of the scheduled installation appointment two hours before the set time to tell me the doors were not on the truck and they had no idea where they were. I had made special arrangements to have someone at the house as my husband and I both work extended hours and could not be there at the appointed time. The subsequent communication was horrendous resulting in extreme frustration on my part and the belief no one had a clue as to what happened to my doors. The only saving grace was Chris (not sure what his position is) who would at least text me. Out of desperation I called the salesman and his response was I would be upset too. Really? He assured me he had elevated the issue to the GM and he would call me. Which he never did. I could go on and on, but you get the picture. Once we finally got the doors they were nice quality and the installers were prompt and very nice. All I can say is stay away from this place.

I worked with California Closets to install a brand new system of cabinets and storage in my garage. Working with designer Cynthia Binski was a wonderful experience, and installers Zach and Danny were friendly, skilled and efficient. My dingy dark garage is now the showcase of the neighborhood. Everything fits so perfectly into the thoughtful design, it seems like I have double the room in half the space. This is my second time working with California Closets. The walk in closet organization done 20 years ago still looks brand new. Dont waste your time with the bargain shops. Quality is always worth it and you will never regret the investment.

I worked with Donald Parham from California Closets to come up with a design for the closets in my master bedroom. They hadnt been updated in decades and I wanted a clean, fresh look that would also enable me to better organize the contents of my closet. Donald was extremely professional and walked me through different options. We agreed on the design and my closet was installed about one month later. The person from CC who came and installed by new closet (he actually works for CC, not a third party) was on time and friendly, and he encouraged me to check on the build process as often as I liked. It came out great. I am really happy and will have CC do a second closet in my guestroom soon. Definitely recommend.

We decided to give our garage a complete makeover and Taylor from California Closets San Diego did an incredible job giving us exactly what we needed. Taylor put a lot of thought into the design process, taking time to understand our needs and came up with a variety of well-thought designs for us to choose from. We had a fantastic experience with California Closets. They remodeled our hallway and master bedroom closets. We got new designs back in April, and installation was completed on July 11th and 12th. The long wait was due to materials shortages due to the pandemic so we definitely dont blame California Closets for the longer lead time. The demo team and installation team were on time. professional, and did awesome work. Were so happy with our new closets and would definitely use them again for future projects!

Highly recommend California Closets --- Donald Purham!We recently purchased 3 tall custom cabinets (90” high) from California Closets which were installed on December 15, 2020. Referred by our friend (neighbor) who also installed cabinets in their garage, we contacted California Closets as well as 3 other cabinet makers for evaluation and received several quotes in the summer. But unfortunately due to uncertain situation we had to postpone the project in the summer this year.Later in November 2020, we decided to move forward with the project and reached out to California Closets again although the prices were about the same among all 4 vendors. The main reason we selected California Closet is the experience we had with Donald Purham (Don) during our initial discussions and evaluation in the summer.Donald Purham (Don) is an expert, very honest and has the full knowledge over the intricacies of custom cabinet, and he carefully inquired and clearly understood our requirements from the onset. Upon understanding our requirements and performing the measurements, he came up with 3 different designs in CAD, made several changes as we requested and went over each design in ZOOM video. Don worked tirelessly without showing any sign of frustration, exploring all possible options spending quite a bit of time with us for what we wanted. He was always very welcoming to all inquiries, questions etc. and always got back to us timely with responses until we were satisfied. Besides his through work and expertise, we were very impressed finding that he wasn’t upset at all upon our decision to postpone the project even after he spent quite a bit of time with us in several occasions over the phone and via email. Rather, he showed his sympathies and graciously offered us to reach him should we ever decide to move forward. He never pushed us to make the sale.We are also impressed with the two technicians who installed the three (3) cabinets in the garage. Both Daniel and Cameron were very docile, courteous and expert in what they do. The installation turned out outstanding as they carefully measured prior to the installation of each cabinet, made adjustments as necessary to make it look as if all three cabinets are one piece. After they completed work, they cleaned the cabinets, explained about the warranty and the next step/transaction of the remaining balance.We would like to express our sincere Thanks and gratitude to Donald who worked very closely until we were satisfied with the final design. As engineers, we appreciate Don’s expertise of cabinet design in CAD which gave us enormous confidence in the final product. We recently used California Closets to re-design our kitchen pantry and it couldnt have been easier. The design process was straightforward, our customer rep, Katie, was professional, and the cabinets were installed on schedule. The whole process was pretty seamless and simple. We love our beautiful, new pantry!

UPDATE: We came to a resolution with the company that was adequate.We had our mudroom/entryway closets installed and finished yesterday and we are quite upset with how the installation crew treated us and our home. I pointed out to the lead worker today when he was departing that there were numerous damages to our hardwood floor from something that looks like white paint (and he did not use paint or ask for the paint we had available for him to do touch ups on the walls.) He immediately claimed that This was there before!! We had the hardwood floors installed less than 3 months ago, and they were in pristine condition. I do understand there might be accidents but being looked at in the eyes and being lied to by a worker (and one of a high end brand such as California Closets) is revolting. We also noticed additional wood damages, weird red stains on the wall and hand prints/marks on the brand new cabinetry delivered today! And unfortunately as if that wasn’t enough the workers were having loud conversations that should only be held in a mens locker room and extremely inappropriate language in a clients home with a 4 year old present. When I stepped out of my home office and politely asked them to keep it down as I am trying to get some work done, my request was met with an eye roll and accompanied by a wow as if I were interacting with rebellious teenagers.It’s very disappointing and frustrating to us that even after receiving several quotes from competitors that came in a good 15-20% under California Closet, we chose this business because of the reputation and reviews. We are shocked we met such foul mouthed petulant employees who we allowed into our home as trusted employees of California Closets even though the way they acted was a black mark on your brand - clearly on display in a branded van in our driveway - Such appalling employee behavior reflects poorly on your company and we, as disappointed customers, could not give anything but negative reviews about our experience. This is unfortunate as our initial contact with designer Kathy Bitter, made us believe we were working with professionals who cared for customers and would treat us and our home with respect and provide us with a quality product. We not only need to deal with costly damages to our home but we were left with a very dirty and damaged product: The white cabinets are smudged with black prints and marks that do not come clean and what we gather must be glue residue on the floor and cabinets, a nick in the cabinet (and several nicks and scratches in our less than three month old flooring as well).I would be very wary of letting these people into your home. I wish I had gone with a different company.

We had our master closet redone and were very pleased with the final results. It took 6 weeks from the time we signed the contract until it was completed which was what was promised. The price was inline with what we had budgeted. We had several bids and we selected California Closets. Claudia Hemmi came out and listened to our requirements. She completed a preliminary design before she left. Payment options allowed us to budget the entire project without the necessity of taking out a loan. I would highly recommend them.

My consultant was Ben. He was my consultant 7 years ago when I did a remodel for my master room closet and I requested him again for my latest “2nd” master room closet remodel (downstairs). He had the tools to show you visually right on the spot which was awesome. And, I even got my ironing board that folds out just when I need it! We just had California Closets install closet systems throughout our new home and I’m so happy with everything! Katie was extremely knowledgeable and helpful; she helped design the closets over Zoom and the final results were EXACT! The quality of their product is amazing as well. We had closets installed in our previous home by a different company who advertises big discounts in mail flyers constantly, but decided not to use them again due to issues with materials and workmanship. California Closets came out around the same cost, if not less, and it’s incredibly apparent how much better built they are. Everyone was extremely helpful and professional, and I would 100% recommended them to anyone looking for anything between budget and completely custom closets.

California Closets designed and installed upper/lower cabinetry with a wine refrigerator + Caesarstone countertop. They also designed a built-in desk area with lighted upper cabinet storage, hanging closet storage, file cabinets and a printer pull-out in my high rise condo downtown. The design is functional and visually attractive as the designer was well experienced, attentive and wonderful to work with. We had a few glitches with installation, but the designer followed thru until all was rectified in a professional manor. I am extremely pleased with the finished products and would look to California Closets again for my next storage product. They are a top notch operation!

We used CA Closets in a previous home and was impressed with the designing process and renderings. We bid out 7 closets in our new home with three different closet companies. We ended up using CA Closets again - they may have been slightly more expensive, but worth it for the experience and quality of work once installed. Donald was truly amazing to work with. He went above and beyond and their install team worked well together. Everyone was professional and we felt like we got a good solid product that will last.

We did not have a positive experience working with California Closets. We decided to have three closets in our home done. After the initial consultation in our home, CC made a total of 6 trips to finish a project which should have been completed in one day. This is especially concerning since we have young kids and have not had anybody in our home in over a year due to COVID. CC came three times to re-measure because they forgot to measure one of the closets initially. They wouldnt have known had we not emailed them. They came back to re-measure the last closet, but came back a third time to re-measure something yet again.CC installed all three closets in one day, but forgot the backing on the pullout drawers. We reiterated that three of the closets needed this, but when they came back to fix what should have been done the first time, they were only prepared for 2 out of the 3 closets. They came again to do the same for the third closet. Each time they came this inconvenienced us and our kids online school schedule.Now one of the drawers in the closet does not close properly, which means they will need to come out again.It was truly appalling how disorganized CC was during this whole process. The design process was fine and closet turned out ok, but there was absolutely no communication between the design team and install team. Poor value overall. We are extremely disappointed with our experience and will not use them again in the future.

We ordered a custom design desk along with shelving. The design skills and detail of the person we worked with, Donald Parham, was excellent in every respect. I have worked with other companies in the past, and California Closets is the best in my opinion.

I wanted to organize the garage and do it economically. I searched amazon for pre-made cabinets and found few brands that Homedepot also sales and have samples in showroom. I can tell you none of those pre-made would look this complete and would cost me as much as it costed me doing it custom made, for my needs, by California Closet. It looks amazing, they were on time, everything is so clean and looks finished. Would give more stars if I could. I am looking around the house to find more areas to organize now!

There’s a reason California Closets has such a great reputation. My experience from beginning to end was not only professional but honest. I gave Suzi my max budget and also asked for some lower priced options. She didn’t question me once or try to upsell me. Within a day she sent me like 4 or 5 3D designs, with different options and prices. I thanked her and said I was doing research and would get back to her. The next estimate I got was from another big name and omg…she heard my budget and immediately told me that was not gonna get me very much and how much higher could I go. I upped my price a bit just to get an idea and the designs she sent did not meet any of my requirements and none within my budget…really😳?The next few were similar but only offered higher end wood (which I get) and no environmentally friendly options.Suzi, my CC designer was definitely not gonna to get rich off of my first little custom closet, but she treated me like my closet was the most important project she had and communicated clearly every step of the way.Not only that, but I actually ran into a little extra cash and ended up going about $2000 above my budget..lol. My consultant, Jennifer Lavoie, was outstanding. She gave me great advice on style and content for shelves and cupboards that would fit into my 1920s-era house. Also, her measurements and plans were evidently perfect because the installers did a great job. They were both very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The final product is so attractive, and I love it! I will say that CA Closets seemed to be more expensive than a couple of other companies I superficially looked at, but when I visited the CA Closets showroom on Miramar, I found exactly the components I was looking for, so I picked this company

I had a wonderful experience with California Closets - from the first contact, to the designing stage, and to the installing of our new entertainment center. My designer Jonathan worked closely with me, incorporated all my ideas in record time into the designs, and produced a number of great plans for me to choose between. The installers continued the positive experience: they arrived on time, worked quickly, but extremely carefully, they readily answered all the questions we had, and they wore masks (which should be a no-brainer, but in todays US that deserves a big thank you!). Yes, we may have paid a little more than other companies would have offered, but the extra money was definitely worth it!

She didnt just dump details of products on us rather worked with us in the entire process to choose the right stuff. I admire Kathys expertise and devotion to her work-- she listened to my wishes for a perfect home office space and she designed the space to make it work for me. Using the right designer to take what your describing in your head makes all the difference. Kathy was able to do this for the beautiful closet design that was installed. I checked with 2 other businesses who did not have the skills to complete the design. Kathy did this in one meeting. Our closet was installed in one day . I am wowed with my experience and whole heartedly recommend to friends and family CA Cllosers as this is the second time I have had them do work in our home with awesome results.

Top notch customer service! We had a couple of minor glitches, but the Cal Closets team immediately addressed them. From our initial meeting with our custom designer, Ben Weiss, he set the gold standard! He took a really small space and maximized every inch. With the chandelier added, it is my perfect dream closet. Then, Cecilia Carlsson, the Service Manager, navigated us through the completion process and fine-tuning. We couldnt have asked for a better team. Down to earth, good listeners, creative and just darn right nice! We highly recommend California Closets.

We needed a more organized space in our bathroom so we could find things quickly. They made a custom unit with drawers on the bottom with slow closers. The top of the unit is open shelving for towels. it added a lot of value to our home! It is beautiful! I loved all the colorful options as well as the different handles available.

I had a garage organization system installed. I am very pleased with the results. Everyone from my designer, showroom staff and installers were absolutely great! Everything was done professionally and on time. On the day of installation there was an issue with the size of one of my cabinets and they resolved it the same day! I’ve had another company before in a previous house. In my new place I wanted to take bids just to see what was out there from the time sales sales person came out to the installation was such a wonderful experience I was kept up to date the plans were in 3-D and I had a good sense of what was going on and I felt like to the sales person Jonathan truly cared cared about the production and the installation in my garage and my entertainment center

The virtual design process was smooth and rather entertaining. Our designer was professional. The prices are high and the lead times are long. The installation team arrived on time and completed the project smoothly and cleanly. One of the drawer glides stopped working correctly after a few weeks.

We recently moved into a great house that needed more closet space. Sanne Hamers, from California Closets, helped us create the perfect wardrobe addition to our master bedroom. It fits the style of our house, looks like its always been a built in piece of furniture, and it provides exactly what we needed, all, thanks to the design help and the professional installation.
