Super expensive I went there to get root beer barrels and they taste nothing like it also some of the candy I got was stale unless your rich go there it costed me 9 bucks for a pound and a half of them. Not worth the money also when we got in the she started touching me and my mom on the arm and when she said you need to use hand sanitizer she chought like you gotta be kidding me without a mask or glove and when they serve the candy they did not wear gloves and then she opened the bag of the truffle no gloves on and looked it it when touching it and when they served the candy no gloves

Back earlier this year 2020 they were closed due to the pandemic. A note on the door listed a phone number and open by appointment or call I was craving my favorite chocolates called Ice Cubes and the Candy Depot is the only place that carry them. . So I called, the owner answered, and was so nice. He met me within 15 mins, opened the store. I was so happy. Thank you Candy Depot you are the best.

The place is nice. I love how fancy the store and cleanliness is superb. But what I most love to this place is how they display their sweets, very organized and detailed.

The Candy Depot is awesome. Not only is the fudge the best Ive ever had, but I like that they have sugar-free options for those who cant indulge in regular sugar. If I stop in, my must-haves are the dark chocolate almond bark, truffles, and the rocky road fudge. Highly recommend beore, during and after dinner.

This place will bring back fond memories of when you were that kid in a candy store, captivated and overwhelmed by the oodles of candy, colors and sweet aromas. They did a nice job with merchandising, and its really fun to look at all the candy in the jars and on the shelves. Colorful and inviting. Just like I remember the candy store back in the day...

Love this place! They have an incredible variety of candy types and amazing customer service. There is every type of gummy and chocolate you could want and they have an entire section of nostalgic candy that will take you right back to your childhood.The truffles are all amazing and if you sign up for their rewards program (which is free to do!) you get a free tote bag that day. They also do custom candy for events or as gifts. Candy Depot in Hillcrest is the best candy shop in San Diego!

Love this place! They have every type of candy you could want and Kathy was so friendly. You can build your own bag of candy and/or pick out gourmet chocolates from their case up front. Will definitely go back when in search of a treat!

If you have a sweet tooth and your in SD, you definitely need to stop byCandy Depot. I do my best to stop here anytime Im in SD. The shop is in a cool strip on Congress with lots of other cool stores. I always pick up my chocolate covered gummy bears and chocolate covered Swedish fish here. My mom picks up the black licorice string. We also made a bag of gummies for my nephews from the candy bins. Stop by but dont eat all my chocolate.

It is really nice. There is a lot of different candy and it has a cute train working above your head but the candy ends up being really expensive. In the other hand they use points system that gets you rewards eventually and the store is near a movie theater.It is a good place to get your kid a little sweet gift once in a while.

A decent candy selection, but dont expect to find any name brand confections. I wish they had more chocolate items. Get your parking validated here if you parked underground.

Omg! Just met Amy shes a total doll!!!. I am so happy we stopped here! She definitely representing why local owners need to be supported in the community!. She said her sister owns the place and I love how its a family run shop!. There is tons of candy to choose from and great prices. We told her our little bugdet and she did the most in helping us get everything we wanted and then some. We signed up for the rewards and got a free tote. If your in hillcrest This is definitely one of my favorite new places to go.
