WOW 🍦 this is the biggest ice cream I have ever seen! We where pleasantly surprised by how delicious 🤤 this was defiantly with every penny. Not to mention it is right here in the beach 🏖

This place has a good selection of flavors but not a great selection of sizes. The only option is 2 scoops... That are much more like 8 scoops. Seriously the scoops are ridiculously huge. Make sure you have someone to share it with. The waffle cones are still 10/10.

This place has amazing ice cream but what I am more impressed with is how they went above and beyond for my kiddo with Tree nut and peanut allergies. They went to the back opened a brand new huge tub of vanilla ice cream, got a brand new ice cream scoop from the back just so it wouldnt cross contaminate. Thank you for going above and beyond.

The ice cream is fantastic. But watching the employees handles the cones with no gloves is disgusting especially now days with everything going on. You would think they would handle it better..

Although the ice cream itself is good, the only option is 2 scoops. And the scoops are HUGE. Its fine to have them that big but for goodness sake, offer a one scoop or kids size option. No way a kid can finish that without it melting and being aridiculous mess! I mean, Belmont park is a family place but this shop does not have sizes for the whole family!! Very disappointing and I have decided not to return until they change their menu selections.

Change your times online, and train your team to be more accommodating to customers. I walked up at 8:25 and was told “as of today” we close at 8, and there was no manager available for me to speak to. I’m beyond frustrated, and really want to speak to someone in upper management.

Love getting waffle cones and ice cream here definitely gets busy being in the middle of an amusement park nicely priced ice cream and always good and fresh with plenty of flavors

Used to be my absolute favorite ice-cream store across the US, but they let the fresh waffle cones sit too long now so they get stale. However, smells amazing and insane portions for the price. Get a cone and stroll on the beach!

The place is absolutely filthy. No choice for sizes when it comes to the ice cream, two huge scoops which makes it more stressful to try to eat it before it melts and makes a mess. The ice cream itself is not tasty. The hot fudge isnt hot and came out in nasty clumps. It also had an off taste to it.

Scoops are massive, but selection of ice cream is kinda... Meh.

Ice cream was good, they were mopping at 7:18. In a place that is surrounded by kid shops and rides they had 0 kid scoops. The only option was two scoops for $6.

Advice to customers.....Please, please, please, make sure you check your receipts! They charged me a beer/coke float when I never placed an order for it.In addition, my brother in law was charged $10.00 dollars for a soda????My brother in law complained and they refunded our money for the soda and the beer/coke.Advice to owner: Screen your workers through DOJ.

If I could give zero I would. Online it says they are open until nine. Went in at 8:05 and girl mopping the floors said they closed at eight. Showed her where it said they closed at nine, and she condescendingly informed me ( mind you I am a bar manager and very well aware of who is in charge of the online sites) that she doesn’t run google or yelp. She was overly rude. Uninterested in providing any kind of welcoming customer service. Plus, if you are closed, lock your doors.

You’d think in the middle of a global pandemic the bare minimum they could do is wear gloves while handling cones and sticking their entire arm into the bucket to scoop ice cream. Same guy, no gloves, touched my cone with bare hands, and also took my payment and went to help the kids behind me without even washing his hands inbetween. I threw my ice cream out. And why does everyone who works here mope around like they are forced to be there?

They serve giant portions of the best ice cream AND they have Anjelea, the sweetest and nicest server in California!!

It seems that you can only order 2 scoops with up to 2 flavors and in a waffle cone, waffle bowl or regular bowl. There are many flavors to choose from but you can only order up to 2 for each item. There was a long line but it moves quickly. The ice cream is good but it was very hard. The flimsy, cheap, plastic spoons are useless and made the delicious ice cream frustrating to eat. Well the ice cream is worth it especially on a hot summer day in San Diego.

My family and I visit the Sweet Shoppe every year on our family vacation. I have never been disappointed by my experiences with them. Fudge is absolutely delicious and you get way more ice cream that you probably want for a decent price!

Very good ice cream. The cones and waffle bowls are made right there and taste great and theres numerous options for toppings. The serving is huge and a perfect treat if you can finish it. Otherwise its still more than enough to share. Definitely worth a try if youre at Mission Beach!

The ice cream was good, and large portions. The only reason for the 3 star review was the lack of cleanliness and slow service.We were there around 7pm, and there seemed to be 3 people working, but only 1 was serving the long line, she would then run around to take cash, and run back to scoop ice cream without ever washing her hands or putting on gloves.

The MAJORITY of employees were not wearing masks or were wearing them below their mouth!!! I doubt they were doing much in the way of hand hygiene either!! If employees don’t follow the rules, why would any patrons?! We walked right back out!!!

Been eating ice cream here for years and never fails to make the Mission Beach experience. We’ve seen it change a lot over the years, but this last time was a lot better with taking the orders and cleanliness.

Big portion of icecream, I ordered cookies & cream flavor, but its not good at all, I added caramel syrup for $ 0.75 and she putted a few drops. Personally, my first and last time.

Wasteful and a rip-off. They only sell one size of ice cream (gigantic) for 8$. The ice cream is fine, and the cones are home-made, but they should have a child size.
