The owner is nice enough but I had a few issues. The person who does the tint is lacking skills. I had bubbles the first day, he told me to wait because it was just water. When the tint dried, I still had bubbles. Went to get it re-done now there’s scrapes in the tint. The work is done near an ally so dust gets everywhere and they left my car a mess with water marks, handprints dust and tint residue. I asked for a viper alarm to be installed at 930 am I was sent the model but when I got there at 5pm I had an Automate installed. He took 100 bucks off but the proper steps would have been calling me asking me if that was ok or giving me another option. I have had many cars get tint and stereos/subs. This is the worst shop I’ve ever visited. The stereo guy is decent but the guy who does the tint is really bad and they don’t install what’s on the quote. I’m glad others had a better experience but my first time going there makes me wish I spent my 1000 dollars another place that had professional service and could get the job done right. I’m rolling around San Diego with raggedy tint and a cheap 60 dollar alarm I was charged 299 for.

One of the Worst service experiences ever. Stay away. I sent an email with pics, plans, parts, a schema for the job installing an inverter. Spoke with the owner and told him it was time sensitive, booked my apt 3 weeks in advance. Called to double check everything. He told me yes, yes, I looked, everything is good. We need 3 hours, not 2 as original.When I arrived he hadnt shown his installer anything. It appeared that he didnt even read the email and then he told me he was closing the shop and couldnt do it.Im stuck without the power I need for my work computer and I have to travel. I havent gotten so messed up by someone who I was so specific with ever before I dont think.Stay far, far, far away. Im so stressed. Nothing I could have done could have been better communication. I think that honestly the owner may be having some serious clarity and mental problems and I dont mean that as an attack because it was like he wasnt communicating like a person who had everything put together. Again, I couldnt have been more clear.Something is deeply wrong there. Dont go.

James/Kim gave me the best quote to replace my factory stereo and backup camera. Even after several calls and messages, he still took the time to answer any of my concerns. I was initially worried because his quote was less than other competitors and thought he might have missed something or the quality of work was going to be questionable. But I was totally wrong! There were no hidden fees or last minute add-ons. I got the stereo deck I wanted (Pioneer with Apple CarPlay), Pioneer back-up camera rewired to deck; deck kit, antenna, and steering wheel adapter). On top of that, he was able to use the existing usb port so he didnt have a wire just hanging or have to cut a hole to put in a usb port. Everything works perfect, it was performed in a timely manner, and my car was clean. I am so happy I went with Soundiego and I am happy to recommend them to all my family, friends, and clients. You will not be disappointed with the price and quality of work!!!

Price is good when i called, dont know about quality of work but when i tried setting up appointment the person i talk to he is rushing that sounds like he doesnt wanna make money from me. I was trying to look up my callendar what day is best for me and he said if you cant make appointment right now just call me and hang up the phone didnt even get a chance to speak. You know what called another shop same price more generous and good quality of what you called customer service. Business is about customer service and if you dont have that hopefully your business is not going down yet.

Very professional. Did quality job on my sub woofer and amp installation. It’s was done in a very clean way! All the wires nicely concealed. Sub woofer and amp were also tuned up nicely for my car. The mechanic who did the job was very detail oriented and did his best. Pricing wise I might have found a shop which was about 10-15 bucks better but I feel that it was worth it at soundiego, for the quality job. Mr. Kim, the owner was also very enterprising and nice company while the installation was being done! Will definitely come over here again for my car’s audio video needs!

I purchased a stereo for my 2012 toyota rav4 with a back up camera and another place originally quoted me $150 over the phone for installation. When I got to the shop they told me that it would be $250. I ended up calling here and Mr. Kim gave me the same quote for $150. They did a great job with the installation and even changed out the antennae on the stereo for me because the original one I ordered wasnt compatible. Thank you for doing a great job!

I WANTED to love this place I really did but after Spending $200 just for installation to have my radio turn off at random and then be treated like some kind of liar when I took it back two days later Im definitely disappointed to say the least. They. ended up fixing it with a zip tie on the plug that goes to my radio saying to go buy a new plug and they would reinstall it for free like they would be doing me a favor by not charging me again! If the plug was going bad when I took it in like theyre claiming they shouldve let me know from the jump not just send me on my way hoping the issues wait 14 days to arise so they wouldnt be responsible for it anymore per their policy. Pure undeniable laziness is the only reason the issue wasnt addressed during initial installation because they likely didnt notice until they were just about finished so instead of having to start the whole job over they chose to sweep it under the rug. Kim says he bench tested my equipment 3 times before installing it [which is the logical thing to do as the business owner] but if it worked properly when tested how is it not the installers fault?!! Pay attention to negative reviews or you might end up full of remorse just like me.

Im warning you guys not to come to this place. I spent almost $300 for my Viper alarm. I have Toyota is 2017 and it took them 4hrs to figure out how to install it in. Not even a month, something wrong with it. It couldnt stop going off, and so my car got stuck like an hour away from my home. I called them, guess what I got? An attitude and sort of refuse to help. nothing we can do about it, $55 for us to come to look at it. Sucks

I had to get my car tracking unit installed here when I purchased my new ride.Its a small place.I looked around at the sound systems and their prices are reasonable, and I picked up a leaflet that mentioned that they have an in-house financing option that may work for you. The customer service was great even though I wasnt looking to buy and they quoted me $180 to install a sub from my old car so I am definitely going back to have it installed just based off their service interaction alone.

These guys did wonders on my old Honda. I needed a new radio, but was on a tight budget. The owner Mr. Kim gave me a free installation on a brand new sony! It sounds great and he made it so my iPhone hooks up to it with a bluetooth. I am very happy with it, now I need him to hook up a new alarm.

I called Kim @ Sound Diego for the first time, now approaching 6 years ago... to find a sound system I would be happy with (and could enjoy loudly IF and when I wanted). I looked at everything! and finally ended up with JL Audio speakers and a Pioneer 6200bt (Bluetooth) deck that included a USB port and aux jack. This was perfect for my little truck. I Did not need an amp or subs like I wanted so I actually saved money and got quality sound to meet MY needs.I have since purchased 2 car alarm systems and have had automatic door locks Installed and replaced over the next 5 years (2 alarms because I lost the remotes over time to the first system so I had to replace, and passengers tend to break the door actuators on the new automatic locks (by manually overriding them too much over time)). Not any fault of the products..I will soon be going back to have 2 back up cameras installed in my new truck (one for each side left and right for those 45 degree angle beach parking spots mostly... And, its a big-in..) but I return here time and time again because I know Kim always stands behind his work, and helps me out when I call him. And Installation times are great In My opinion. Ill watch a movie on the sample DVD display decks or take a walk for a bit while I wait, usually an hour or hour and half. But I enjoy the satisfaction of quality work year-round, year after year.Thanks Kim!!!!

Poor quality service the people that work there dont know whats going on

Kim helped me out when I was in trouble with my cars alarm. My Mazda had an aftermarket alarm installed whose sensor became faulty and started activating the alarm out of nowhere without provocation. This needless to say, was very annoying for my neighbors to hear, but also super stressful to deal with how unpredictable it was. I emailed him at night and he replied promptly to my inquiry, gave me a rough estimate and I made an appointment the next morning at 9am when they opened. I was there about 20 minutes and my problem was solved. He charged me exactly what he told me.

Absolutely the worst installation shop I have ever been too. I paid over $5000 dollars to have a custom JL audio system installed in my truck with a custom built blow thru box.The install was shady at best. Wires had nicks and cuts in them. Their positive power block had no plastic cover (leaving a positive terminal connection open in the rear of the truck.) The speakers once removed by another audio shop were noted that one was a refurbished JL W7. Shady work shady install shady people. The owner loves to talk a big game although he is horrible for warranty issues. My new system leaked water inside my new truck. This was due to their poor install of the rubber boot that was attached to the bed of the truck.I have had stereo systems all my life I even use to do competitions. This place does not deserve to be in business. Especially since they are one of the JL Audio retail sellers.This was one of the biggest headaches I have ever had with a business owner, audio shop or anyone ever.Do not waist your time or money at this place. I am a real customer who had over $5000 of a so called custom stereo, amps, and subs installed that was horrible.

Recently brought my car in to install an iPod adapter. Had called around to various car stereo shops, and was quoted anywhere from $100 - $250. Soundiego quoted me $80, and despite my qualms about the neighborhood, I went ahead and took the plunge. Work was done well and on time! Told my brother about it, and he went in two days later to add an iPod adapter to his car as well. Both of us had already purchased iPod adapters elsewhere, so the price quoted was for just the install. Nothing but good things to say about Soundiego. Call around to some of their competitors, and youll find out that they are the best deal available for installation.

Not recommended at all. I left my car for more than 2 days for the system and window tint. After two days they tell me that it is ready but when I picked up the car the audio system did not work and the tint in the rear window is starting to catch air and look very bad. Mario is the worst installer just your helper and salesperson alike.
