Gus went way above and beyond to prove to us that we made the right choice- the customer service was so good. I could reach out to him by text for every little question which was so valuable to us. He helped me track down my dream flooring, talked to me about options, pros and cons of the different types. He also was really patient with me not being an actual contractor or designer but thinking that I was. 😉 He was also really competitive with pricing, we did a ton of market research.His son was also extremely helpful and so was the girl that worked there too. Flooring Creations was a dream to work with! After we were disappointed with the experience we had at some big box stores, we decided to try Flooring Creations. From the moment we walked into the store we knew it was going to be a great experience. Stephanie was a great help in picking out the best product for our space and she even let us bring the large showroom samples home. Shortly after our visit to the store, Gus came to our house to consult with us on product selection and to measure our space. Gus recommended a fantastic installer and we are so happy with the outcome! The whole process (product selection to installation) only took ~3 weeks, which is amazing considering other stores told us it would be months until we would get the floor installed.

We live in Borrego Springs and its difficult finding carpet providers willing to install here. The owner, Gus personally assisted us in finding the right carpet at a very competitive price. Additionally, he recommended a terrific installer that was able to install within a week. They were awesome; arrived on time, moved all furniture carefully, installed the carpet professionally and replaced all furniture. Office staff was so easy to work with and kept us updated throughout the process. The sample selection at the showroom for carpet as well as hard surfaces is fabulous, all grades, prices and colors.

Flooring Creations has been my go to for all flooring needs, but who knew they would be my go to for a tub to shower conversion. I stopped by to get some advice on cost of materials from Gus and Gus Jr. after receiving several contractor quotes for a new shower that were two times what I expected. Before I knew it, Gus was taking measurements for materials, helping me pick out tile and providing recommendations for very good installers and fixture suppliers. We are very pleased with the entire process and the amazing quality of the materials. Plus the entire project was completed well within my original budget.

Our house flooded in April and we had to replace the floors for the entire house. Easy to work with, competitive pricing and supportive when I had a problem during the installation. Chose a high end engineered hardwood and told them my schedule. The first thing they said was to wait to order because they knew a sale was coming up soon. How great is that. Saved me 25% and still had the product ahead of schedule. Flooring Creations is a great place to select the latest in carpet and flooring products. The showroom is staffed with very knowledgeable people and the prices are reasonable. They are very concerned with customer satisfaction. Two years ago they did my two story condo with all new flooring which looks outstanding. Two weeks ago I had Flooring Creations install new carpet and baseboards in three bedrooms. Gus has an amazing amount of knowledge and design sense. Id never remodeled a house before and just speaking to him I learned a ton about things I had never considered, such as which direction the tile/luxury vinyl should be laid in each room for best results and how to fine-tune color matching. Look at my gorgeous fireplace, for which I have him to thank (he suggested that we affix the leftover quartz from the counter top and look how beautiful it is-- its a showpiece in my house!!). Gus estimates are both reasonable and filled with detail (he takes photos and draws on them with exact instructions so the installers can get it perfect). He works night and day and will answer your calls and emails ASAP. If you are in the market for flooring or design, be sure to talk to Gus. Hell give you a great deal AND great advice!

Ive found that every time Ive searched for flooring, particularly tile, that would compliment my townhouse redecorating projects, I end up finding exactly what Ive been searching for at Flooring Creations. Ill bring them samples of my paint color(s), a picture of my project and possibly a picture of what Im trying to duplicate (i.e. Pinterest) and theyll patiently assist me with narrowing down the perfect pattern from their huge inventory. If youre not a flooring DIYer theyll recommend an installer with the appropriate expertise and customer focus. Cant say enough good things about Gus Sr. and his staff other than Im looking forward to working with them on my next project; a complete brink demo and replacement tiling of my fireplace wall and mantel.

My husband and I were living overseas when we decided to buy a house in San Diego and completely remodel from abroad. Gus and Gus Jr. are both wonderful people. We had a really positive experience with Gus Sr at our home. He measured everything carefully and was a fun, friendly guy. In the showroom, Gus Jr navigated us through all our questions, teaching us about vinyl, marble, stone, flooring, carpet, backsplashes, and bathroom shower tiles, all with good humor and patience. Well order nearly $10K worth of floor stuff for our 2,ooo sq ft house. But they didnt know our big purchase idea before helping us. He even gave us the names and numbers of other industry pros they trust for other jobs too. Overall, a model of customer care at this point in the purchase decision. Well install later in the month, so cant speak to that, but if so far is any indication, its going to be a pleasure working with them from ideas to completion.

FULL STOP.We recently purchased a new construction home from a large builder, and decided not to upgrade our flooring and kitchen splash through them (their prices were outrageous and some of what we wanted, they could not do). After getting burned by flooring contractors in a remodel of our previous home, we researched a lot of flooring companies this time around, A LOT. We found Flooring Creations right here on Google, and based on their high rating decided to go in for a consult. Boy, did we make the right choice.Our first impressions of Gus & Jr. were that they were both warm, welcoming, patient and knowledgeable. Finding the right flooring for your home can be daunting. There are endless combinations of colors, patterns, grains, materials and price-points which are all interdependent on your use, taste and budget. Also, we always think you never really know what something is going to look like, until it is in your home, and then it is too late. Gus & Jr. were very patient, and spent an hour or two with us explaining all the differences between wood, porcelain tile, laminate and vinyl and why one is not necessarily better than the other.We were toggling between porcelain wood tiles, and vinyl. When we decided that luxury vinyl was what we wanted, Gus again took a lot of time making sure we understood all the nuances between the different vinyl manufacturers he carried and because we have a 80 lb golden retriever (picture attached), spending a bit more (a few cents per foot) up front on a higher quality plank (20 mil), would pay huge dividends in the long term.The same was true for our kitchen splash and bathroom floor tile (pictures attached). During the 4 month construction process, we reversed course several times on budget, materials and install dates (there are ALWAYS delays in construction). Each time Gus was friendly, patient, and accommodating. Using his 30+ years in the industry, Gus even helped us save money on several occasions in ways that never occurred to us.They even recommended a wonderful installer to us. Mario handled the install for the entire house and was so organized, talented, efficient and trustworthy, we even gave him a key to our house!During the install, we decided (very last minute) to switch from base shoe, to new base boards throughout the entire house. I left a message for Gus at the store, and he called me WITHIN MINUTES while on vacation with his family to make sure we were able to get the materials we needed from his supplier.What can I say? I cannot recommend Flooring Creations enough. Anyone who has ever gone through a build or remodel has more horror stories than they would like to share. What a great experience! My wife and I stumbled upon Flooring Creations via Yelp and decided to check them out. We started our journey with Stephanie and Gus Jr. going through the LVP samples and getting the estimate. They recommended a couple of different contractors. Ultimately we chose Mario who, along with his crew, did a great job of masking off and protecting our house as they took a grinder to our uneven tile floor. A few days of prep, a few days of install, done! Well...almost. Like many custom jobs, there was a little hiccup at the end. Mario came back the following Monday and made the correction. 7 days for the whole project and it looks great. Gus Sr even called the following week to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Im happy to give these guys 5 stars for a their professionalism and talent!

They ranged from used car style sales to pretentious designer sales. It was pretty overwhelming with so many options out there. Once I walked into Flooring Creations I knew It was the place.Gus Sr took the time to explain the many options and price points. He has extensive knowledge on every type of flooring on the market. I thought I knew what I was looking for but with Gus’s advice on material, color and price I ended up with something totally different and it is the the perfect flooring. I had received several quotes to redo our floors with wood look tile and in the end, the service + price received from Flooring Creations was the best. Gus did a fantastic job with my carpet order. I had shopped for a while, looking for the right product and finally found it at his store. The installer he recommended did a great job. When the carpet came, it had a defect. Gus handled this issue so efficiently and quickly in order to get me a replacement carpet. He was very responsive in answering my questions and gave great advice. I would not hesitate to return to his store in the future.

It took me 6 months to decide on the flooring I wanted. Gus was very patient and helpful. He gave great advice on all of the flooring options which was extremely helpful. He remained a constant resource during the process from design to completion. I highly recommend Flooring Creations.

Flooring Creations was absolutely the best! I spent more than 2 months visiting more than 2 dozens Flooring stores, and brought at least 20 samples home to live with for anywhere from 24-72 hours. Not only did Flooring Creations have the highest quality product selection within my budget, they were the most helpful in educating me about the different flooring options that matched my homes requirements. I really wanted the warmth and character of hardwood, but needed waterproof and scratch resistant for renters and pets, as well as high heat tolerance due to my south facing patio door that has a greenhouse effect of up to 165 degrees fahrenheit, which had faded, eroded, and warped my former wood floors. Gus helped me narrow down my search to a wide and long plank, high definition, Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP), which came in at half the price of other much bigger named flooring stores in San Diego county. Also, they were so patient with me as I searched, shopped and returned multiple time to rent out the same sample -- flooring was a big and expensive decision I really wanted to be exceptionally confident in. All other stores that I rented / borrowed samples from only allowed 24 hours. While Flooring Creations shared the same preference (to allow for the samples to be available for other customers, as well), they accommodated my request to have a few extra days before pulling the trigger, since I wanted to see the samples different areas of the house in different lighting day/night and against various wall paints. If this TOP NOTCH level of customer service wasnt enough, I had actually had my floors measured by 3 other companies, one including Lowes, Costcos Flooring contractor, and another large brand flooring center with multiple locations throughout San Diego. I had the Sq Ft measurements for both the flooring and Linear Sq Ft for the new footboards from all three. Gus Sr. came to personally measure my floors himself and his measurement was soooooo accurate that after installation, I only had 2 excess planks left! If I had gone with any other company, I would have wasted so much money with excess materials! I cant recommend this boutique, family owned flooring company more...they are the ONLY flooring center I will ever work with in San Diego on any future home or business I own.

We went to a few flooring places before deciding to make the drive from Eastlake to Morena Blvd. TOTALLY worth the drive for us. The other places didnt give any guidance on material, cost efficiency, etc. and left us feeling like we were just going to be paying a lot of money without understanding what we were getting or feeling confident in our choice. The SECOND we got to Flooring Creations, Gus Sr. greeted us and began asking us questions, providing guidance on which material might suit us, giving insight into color selection that we wouldnt regret, etc. It was so nice to feel like we were being educated, and not just sold! Once we picked out our materials, Gus Sr. personally came to our home the same day to take measurements and the ordering was done the next morning! Gus provided us with a list of independent flooring installers since we didnt have an installer in mind yet and the installation team we used was right on par with the service we received in store- considerate, knowledgeable, professional, and FAST! Gus checked in a few times to make sure all was going well and has continued to check in since the floors were completed to make sure we are satisfied with everything (which we DEFINITELY are)! Overall, our experience was fantastic. I would recommend Flooring Creations to anyone and everyone! We wont need any new floors for a long time, but in the future, if we buy a new house or decide to change things up, well be back!

We researched local flooring stores and felt a great vibe when we checked out Flooring Creations. Gus Jr. was extremely helpful up front and provided some great design ideas - particularly for replacing the carpet on our steps. We wound up replacing all the flooring in our upstairs with vinyl plank, along with installing the same on our steps using bullnose. We are extremely pleased with the final product and recommend considering this product. (Had this been available 15 years ago, we would have installed this instead of laminate.) The total cost was very close to the estimate on their website, which gave us some confidence in their marketing. We found places that offered cheaper options, but given the amount of time we expect to use this flooring, we opted to weigh quality and reputation heavily in our value determination. Flooring Creations does not install the product, but Gus recommended some excellent installers to work with, and we were very happy with the job Daniel did.

I have only many great things to say about the folks at Flooring Creations, and especially Gus Sr.When we found Flooring Creations, my husband and I had just purchased a fixer-upper house to be a rental property. Due to COVID-19, all of our plans changed and my husband ended up renovating mostly himself, with just 2.5 months to do it, trying to beat the arrival of a baby.Gus was fantastic. We ended up purchasing flooring, countertops, and a backsplash from him.Luxury vinyl plank flooring: Flooring Creations was the third store I had been to for flooring. We ended up purchasing from them primarily because of Gus’s product knowledge and ability to advise (and, the prices were fair/competitively in line with the market). When I told Gus our goals (durability for a rental, without paying more than necessary, given that it is a rental) he could advise exactly on the quality range we should look for and why. He was also extremely helpful in color choice — something I wouldn’t normally think I would want; however, he had a really good eye for it. Again I could tell him my goals: to design a space that looked modern enough but wouldn’t go out of style — to which he could add, “and appeals to the widest range of people possible”. Gus had an installer to recommend who had competitive pricing, but this my husband chose to install himself.Countertops: Gus had been so helpful that we didn’t even bothering going anywhere else for a second option. He helped me choose a perfectly matched quartz countertop on the low end of the price range — there really wasn’t anything to be gained by going higher. We got a couple of quotes for installation and ended up going with the one Gus recommended.Backsplash: I didn’t even intend to do a kitchen backsplash. But, Gus looked at the floor and counters we had, had an easy pretty recommendation for backsplash, so we did it. Total cost was only (I don’t remember) a few hundred bucks for an even prettier kitchen.I called Gus up numerous times for advice on our renovation process. That I felt comfortable doing that shows that Gus really goes above and beyond. I felt like I had a knowledgeable friend to help us through the renovation.Highly recommend Flooring Creations!

I bought carpet from Flooring Creations about 2 years ago. It was a good experience and the install went smoothly. Carpet has been durable even with 2 kids. Recently I went in looking for a piece of hardware to transition from new tile to the carpet. Flooring Creations didn’t have what I wanted but they sent me to their wholesaler nearby. What an awesome and smooth experience this has been! A big thank you goes to Flooring Creations team, especially Gus Sr, who was so helpful from the second I spoke with him on the phone. Our project was a single-bedroom to be carpeted, for which we initially went to Lowes, as those guys so proudly promote that they wont charge you for install fee if you buy the carpet and pad from them. What they dont tell you is that, there are a bunch of hidden fees that appear on your final quote that make up for their free install and then some. And they couldnt even start our single-bedroom carpet project for multiple weeks because of the holidays and how busy they were. This is when we started to look into other options and after reading great reviews on Flooring Creations, we decided to give it a go. They were super informative and helpful from picking out the best carpet for us (we have pets) in their showroom to recommending an installer, who also was top notch. As my wife and I approach an out of state move,with very little time to accomplish updates on our new home, we were thrown a curveball- the only flooring we picked out is out of stock. I showed up, young baby in hand, with honesty that I just needed to find another color for my floor person out of state to get for us. I called Flooring Creations after calling a few other places to locate some flooring. I needed some Quickstep flooring for a strip after we knocked out a wall. It was a long shot and all of the places I had called took my number to call me back since they were unable to find it while on the phone.Gus Sr. was very direct and straight with me. He let me know that what I was looking for was probably discontinued. Further, he warned me to not send any other places money as they take the money, say what the customer is looking for is back ordered, and then tell the customer that they can choose something else instead to keep their money.He then directed me to take the flooring I need from a closet within the house to piece together the strip, which was genius.
