My wife and I stop by this coffee shop for a quick drink before headed home and belive me, we are not disappoint! Happy coincidence! What a great experience! The staff was the best! Always caring and wailing to answer any question we may have!!My wife order a moka and myself a renewal blend pour over!! Just the fact to make it in front of you is a joy!! Very tasteful coffee!!We surely come back and be regulars!!The prices are most like the green siren coffee house!!
Cool place, good baristas who know what they are doing. Blue Bottle coffee tends to be on the acidic side, which is a question or personal preference, but to me, the flavor of Illy espresso beans, for example, is more enjoyable. Hence the 4 stars, otherwise the place gets my full thumbs up! #espresso #coffee #caffè #BlueBottle #OnePaseo #кофе
Iced cold brew is fire 🔥 not too sweet
Good coffee, little pricier than the average.
Fantastic coffee. Awesome service. Nice location.First time I ran into Blue Bottle in San Francisco. The interior and way how the coffee is being prepared is outstanding. It would be nice to see Blue Bottle becoming more recognized on the market and getting some footprint in Europe, too.@BlueBottle: keep pushing—wanna see you soon in Germany 🤤
Great spot for coffee in the One Paseo shopping center-- love the outdoor tables and people watching!
I got a caffe mocha here. Its pricey; at $6 or so, when the same drink (a tall mocha at Starbucks or Peets for example) is about $4. But the quality is definitely there; you get what you pay for in this case! Friendly staff and some other interesting options. They have internet as well, but no charge ports inside. Croissant was a little dry but large. Overall 5 stars for excellent coffee!
Coffee here is slightly pricy, but the iced latte is actually pretty good, well balanced of espresso and whole milk.
Love this location. People are friendly and provide great customer service. Never disappointed with the drinks. Just occasionally, avocado toast is served with unripe avocados.
A little pricey, but youre paying for love and affection that is well worth it. Its quite obvious they care about coffee to an obsessive level- meant in the best way possible. You can have fresh single cup drip coffee dripped right before your eyes. Vegan friendly. Not that this changes the flavor of their phenomenal tasting coffee, but the art they pour for lattes is just delightful. Worth a stop while in One Paseo
Visited One Paseo for the first time, prefect day to visit as the heat inland made for Del Mar a nice cool retreat. It was not too busy so we had a good time and didn’t have to deal with too much of a crowd.Stopped into Blue Bottle Coffee to get a boost and was very glad we stopped in. I ordered a shot of espresso and a Cascara Fizz.Espresso was great, strong and accompanied with the perfect small glass of soda water to clean your palette, that was a nice surprise. The star for me was the fizzy Cascara drink, that was delicious and unlike anything I have tried. Super refreshing and what they call “Cascara” is a berry from a plant that also is a plant native to California. I am not sure if they harvest the berries locally but it was such a good drink, highly recommend you try it.Super clean, friendly staff, great drinks and worth a try.
Absolutely amazing! The two employees were so friendly and the service was fast. I was so excited to try the hōjicha latte and it did not disappoint! Definitely recommend trying it iced as it was extra refreshing!
The best hands down. Try their cappuccino w almond milk and their salted caramel cookie.
I love it something I never been too I would go again
Great service, latte was delicious, loved the minimalist interior, it reminded me of a blue bottle in Tokyo I use to frequent.
Good, local coffee blends with some interesting notes of flavors. I would recommend the Winter Bloom.
The Brazilian coffee is the best but they never have it. Staff is kind and polite.
Expensive. But worth it!
This place is great and the employees were so wonderful, we accidentally came in 3 min before closing but the cashier and the barista were both so welcoming and kind and gave us advice on what they thought was good to order. they made our night!
First time I had blue bottle was in San Francisco and I was excited to have it again here in SD. I typically just get their latte but the staff here suggested I get it with oat milk and it really changed my life, now it is my go-to drink.
In town from NYC, stopped by blue bottle hoping to get a great latte. However, it wasn’t as strong as I was hoping it would be. The coffee tasted stale and weak compared to the blue bottle lattes I’ve gotten in NYC
Good lattes and avocado toast. Great area
This is an amazing little coffee shop! I havent tried everything, but their lattes, shakeratos, and waffles are all delicious!!! Highly recommend.
Delicious coffee and clean atmosphere. Very professional.
Love the latte!
Always the best coffee. Reminds me of when I was at school in the bay.
Coffee is great, to the point you cant tell Blue Bottle is now owned by Nestle. This location is spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. Food is a major reason for the 3/5 stars. Its OK, but is priced at a higher tier. Avacado for the toast came from a giant bin, so who knows how fresh it was. Staff was a little awkward.
TERRIFIC SERVICE ! My wife and I wanted coffees after lunch nearby and this was our first choice in One Paseo. A sweet young lady named Shelby took our order for 2 lattes with 2% milk in porcelain cups and a Salted Caramel Chunk Cookie. The place we was a bit quite at that point so it didnt take too long for our brews to be ready. Barista Shannon did a sterling job making our rich tasting creamy lattes as they tasted spot on. We dont like weak or mild lattes. We sat at a table outside in the early afternoon sunshine and enjoyed our drinks. My wife shared the cookie with me and it tasted pretty good. Great coffee & friendly service will always get our attention !
The classy third-wave coffee chain has landed in San Diego, as of 3/31/2019.The location is decent with One Paseo parking in a free 3-floor parking garage nearby. The store was easy to find by the iconic bottle logo. The shop has a clean, Apple-like aesthetic with plenty of space but limited seating. The claim is that this simple layout is designed to remove distractions from the primary experience of serving coffee, but I cant help but think that they want to prevent typical coffee shop work/study where almost every seat is taken by someone heads-down on an Apple laptop.Considering the artisan branding, the pricing is decent, even for some of the brewing equipment. Note that this is a cashless establishment, so be sure to bring your credit/debit card or phone for NFC payments. Its a cool place and definitely worth visiting to experience a small taste of San Francisco in San Diego.
I didnt like the matcha tea, but thats my own fault because I dont like matcha and forgot. Friendly staff
A short-haired female server greeted me and complimented my outfit while I was placing an order. I was impressed with her initial friendliness. Lo and behold, a second after I put a dollar tip for a 4-dollar coffee, she turned her manner 180 degrees and almost threw my receipt at me. No matter it was because its a gesture of a low tip, the job is lowly, or I am an Asian, I hope its was an isolated case.
Amazing coffee!!! Very clean establishment with friendly staff. Noticed there were no outlets in the seating area so you can only work for as long as you have battery power. Kind of refreshing. Will definitely be back!
Unfortunately this place isnt for me. I give it 2 stars because the server was nice. The coffee was just O.K. I walked in and the place looked like a Dr.s office. It was SO sterile looking. :-( In fact, the people behind us were saying the same thing. It looked like some place from a futuristic movie. It was extremely depressing. In fact, so much so, that we did not want to sit inside. We went outside in the fresh air. I felt like we would be beamed up on a spaceship or something. I will not be back. So many other great coffee shops to frequent.
Delicious coffee and scones.
Excellent coffee and wonderful location. Sip and shop and dine, we liked the new One Paseo plaza. The service was great too. Very cute place with a modern touch.
Good but too expensive
Superb cappuccino. Cool staff.
The best coffee place in SD. Their brewing techniques and the flavors are great! They also do season specific blends. Its a bit pricey as compared to other places but the quality more than makes up for it..
Fancy artisan coffee, cappuccino was bomb.Definitely a splurge. The space is nice and minimal.I was a little bummed because my computer was dead and there are no outlets for charging. However, it forced me to write in my journal instead so maybe a blessing in disguise?
Great
Nice and clean store, friendly staff, good range of coffee beans to buy, and of course delicious coffee & food!It is a great perk that they have a single origin coffee option for espresso drinks.
Nice modern looking cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Coffee was quite good. Pumpkin loaf was just okay. Would be goong back to try more drinks.
The New Orleans iced coffee was amazing. This new shopping center has alot of cool stores as well. Definitely check it out if you havent been before.
Good coffee, limited menu though. Would be good to see more pastries options.
My matcha latte was excellent. I dont like sweet drinks so I always have to modify. Here I did not, it was the perfect amount of very light sweetness as well as temperature. Of course the pretty design with the froth was a lovely added bonus. The place was not busy (7:30am), good service, fast turn around. My only draw back is that it is pricey, over $6 for an 8oz. But thats what you get in Del Mar or at any SD gourmet coffee shop I suppose!
Great place to stop for coffee. Staff are helpful and coffee is really good! Many places nearby to grab a bite and then enjoy some really good coffee!
Good Americano. Right texture and flavor. My wifes cap was apparently good too. Place was packed on a Saturday morning but the line moves fast
Sooooooo ECSTATIC Blue Bottle is finally here in Del Mar!!!! I am obsessed with the QUALITY and freshness of this coffee and the milk served! Bird Rock & Lofty needed a healthy competitor and they have it in Blue Bottle! The owner truly cares about his product and it shows down to every detail. Quality, quality, quality. And the baristas are OFF THE CHARTS talented, perfectionists and total sweethearts. Please tip them! They work so hard! I hope this high standard can always be maintained as they get even busier when the housing development builds out. They have a great manager at the helm. :)
Im not a person to complain. The lady who served us was very sweet and welcoming but the ice coffee I purchased left a horrible after taste in my mouth . But hey everyone is different and everyone has a certain taste bud for certain taste an flavors and this just wasnt for me.
We drove across the county to get freshly roasted beans for the week. Great location. Open more please...
Great coffee, but kind of expensive. Nice area to eat outside. Only one size of drink (12 oz) and my cafe au lait was over $5. Its very open, and the staff was attentive.
Always good coffee. This place lets the beans shine.
Decent coffee, if expensive, but this place is optimized to get you to leave as soon as possible. Uncomfortable seats, garish lighting, no wifi, awful music... fine if you want something to-go, I guess, but not a place to sit and chat with someone or read. Certainly not a neighborhood builder, which is a bummer.
ㅣlove the highest quality coffee.
Good coffee and nice playground for kids.Very weird twist in their service. Barista told me we dont do ice cappuccino since it is unhealthy to put foam on top of the ice.. I have failed to convince him to do it for me.
The winter latte with muscovado sugar was on point! You cannot go wrong with friendly staff :)
Such delicious coffee
Overpriced for small quantity. Service was friendly but will not go here again. Too many better, more affordable options nearby such as Joe and the Juice, Pappaleco, Philz, etc.
Very strange customer service and business model. First, two other customers who came in after me got their coffee before me. Then, when there was no Splenda available at the counter and I asked for aome, she pulled out this endeared jar from ynder the counter and gave me an infinitesimal amount. I had to go back two more times and even offer to pay for the sweetner before I got enough of it to sweeten my drink!!! That stuff needs to be out there available like any normal coffee shop. The coffee was also only available in one small size. They offer waffles but dont offer anything to put on it. Very strange place.
Friendly staff, lots of space, and the macchiato I got was excellent. The cashier made sure I understood it was a traditional macchiato and not something you would get at Starbucks.
Stood in line for 10 minutes this am with only 2 people in front of us.$10 for 2 coffees. Wont rush back.
Very cool atmosphere! Ill need to explore more and find my favorite roast.
Fabulous coffee
GOOD SERVICE ! My wife and I popped over to One Paseo on Saturday to make use of the Tesla Supercharging Station on the 3rd ( top ) parking level to charge my wifes new Tesla 3. We plugged in our vehicle and headed downstairs to grab some lunch at The Butchery and then here for coffees. Lovi looked after after us at the service counter and made our creamy lattes in porcelain cups ( our preferred choice always ). We sat outside in the community park area and enjoyed them. After making a long trip on Saturday to Temecula and back we returned on Sunday to charge up our Tesla again. It was a 40 minute charge so we stopped by Blue Bottle again for coffees. Shelby looked after us this time at the service counter when we ordered 2 Lattes in porcelain cups and a slice of Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread ( cake ). Barista Rholene made us fabulous tasting Lattes and we decided to sit at a table inside on this visit. Sadly the slice of cake was very dry but Corey the manager came to the rescue when he found out and offered us something extra. This is one of the better coffee shops around with trained baristas and a nice vibe. Some solid food would be a bonus rather than just cake and cookies. Corey the manager said Blue Bottle are working on that !
Bery nice, kind clean can feel they love pets
Seriously the best customer service
Great coffee, lines can be a bit slow though.
One of the best cafe lattes around, rich and flavorful!
Too expensive. $8 for a coffee and full of ice. Not much coffee in it. Not worthy.
Good coffee at standard Starbucks prices
Reliably good coffee and service.
Their coffee is so good.
I drove 400 miles for Blue Bottle Coffee and I would do it again !!
Excellent coffee always
The taste of the coffee isnt worth the wait.
The Hayes Espresso was amazing!
Fantastic coffee and cool concept
Very expensive coffee shop near nice amabiance
Good service and nice coffee
Great coffee(latte), clean environment, pastries are a bit overpriced.
Tasty beans..
Pretentious
Checked the hours...And google had it wrong..I walked in at 7:00 and they’re closed :(
