We had to rent equipment for a job in san Diego area. I highly recommend this place. John was so helpful with our requests and Communication! If we need equipment again we will definitely rent here!!

Quering on a hi-track t-650 w/grapple, forks, tooth and smooth bucket, del&pu rental package, the agent hung up on me. why u ask....i now know why i asked for average engine hours on machines....prior to inquiring rental proposal for skidsteer, i viewed spec sheet on a 140h and SHA-ZAMMMM!!!!!...Tier TWO ENGINE?????...otay is renting 20 year old equipment??// as whats his name is my nitwit witness...review the print date on the 140h blade spec sheet...george....someone is not paying attention to detail.....

I have been trying to have someone call me back for the past 4 days. I have money in hand and want to pay the down payment. No one wants to give me a call back. Its been 4 days and no one called me back and every time I call theyre busy or on the line...what kind of business is this. Trying to spend over $8000 on a forklift.

The refurbished battery in my forklift died a few months after I bought it. I went to the company the battery was from and they were out of business. Luckily I found Otay Mesa around the corner and they got me the right battery at a lower price than I paid for the first battery.

I just have to say I have dealt with many different forklift companies in various states and this company is on point with what they sell. I buy and sell equipment for a living. I have bought several different pieces of equipment from Otay Mesa Sales and the have stood behind every sale. They sell over 100 lifts a month and these ratings are small compared to how much volume they do!! I am saddened to see some of these comments. This is used equipment. Rick stands by his word and the people here are great. Thank you all for selling the products you sell.

Purchased a Forklift summer of 2017. It is now January 2018 and I am still waiting for Rick to fix a safety issue with the fork shim that is missing on 1 side. He keeps saying the tech should have been here, let me check and never calls back. I cannot get him on the phone when I call to save my life. RUN... DONT BUY HERE!! They have no concern for safety!

I have been using Otay Mesa Sales for a while now after being disappointed with many of the other companies around the county. I have had nothing but positive experiences with their quality products and employees. They have been prompt with both delivery and pick up. The no fuel charge is def. a pleasant benefit during these lean times. I will continue to use and recommend Otay Mesa Sales.

DONT BUY FROM THEM, EVER!..... we purchased 3 forklifts from them, the first two were fine, on the third unit, they shipped it 3 weeks late, when we received it, instead of having a refurbished battery, it had one that would only hold a charge for 1 hour. In addition, all the hoses were worn out. The owner Chris, wouldnt return any of our phone calls, and they did not respond. The lift was worthless. We had wired the money so if you are going to buy from them, be sure you use a credit card so a least you have some protection when they cheat you, and cheat they will!

BUYER BEWARE!!! CAUTION! these guys are SCAMMERS. USE A CREDIT CARD SO YOU CAN DISPUTE THE CHARGES. What a joke, if you want broken, leaking equipment then buy here. No one will call you back they will shuffle you around and avoid your calls and emails the minute they get there scamming hands on your funds. These guys invoiced me on 2 forklifts $10,000 and then delivered a GAS old military issued unit with fresh paint on it and a second lift that didnt even start. I was supposed to get propane lifts. The other lift they dropped didnt even start and the GAS lift leaked hydraulic and anti freeze fluid all over the warehouse. They sent a technician who said the repairs needed were so bad they had to take both lifts back to the shop to repair. Why would they even send such crap out?? They returned 3 weeks later with our repaired lifts they barely started and were leaking all over the place, thats when they stopped responding to our calls, voicemails and emails. A few days later our warehouse worker had a under capacity load on the lift and the forklift snapped the bridal in two dropping the load and nearly killing another worker. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS.

I purchased a forklift for our new Californnia location in July of 2015. Nice piece of used equipment. No problems. I decided to purchase another one for my Carrollton, Tx location in January of 2016. Had lots of issues and ended up sending it back for repair. They drug their feet and werent the friendliest, but we got it done. I purchased two more in January of 2017. James didnt return my email till I copied his boss on one, they then sent me two different lifts than what I requested. Now the chargers are set up wrong. I ask for help in resolving the charger issues. Nobody calls me back from the salesman, to his boss, to the owner. Its been a week and I reached out to all three. I thought at least the owner would call back a customer that bought 4 lifts from him. Needless to say, there wont be a fifth.

I purchased a 445 1983 ford skip=loader on line had it shipped to Oregon from San Diego and it was a peaced together from different parts broken piece of junk If you thinking about buying from these people DONT,,,,Dont take there word for it... GO look and make sure your getting what you pay for ...Pictures taken of equipment was not what it was said to be. Bad BAD BAD

Being a small business owner we couldnt afford new forklifts but needed a good quality reconditioned forklift to help our business grow. Rick @ otay helped us through the many questions we had about getting a forklift to meet all our needs that we had. Our first forklift helped us expand our operations and grow our business to the point that we just purchased our second forklift from Rick.

After 60 days, forklift stopped moving. We had a local service company come out and we were appalled with what he found. A rag was stuck inside to stop an oil leak.....a rag! I could not believe when he pulled this out. This had caused plenty of corrosion on multiple parts. They had also dis engaged the break, so we just thought that was how it operated but it was incorrect. Toggles were configured backwards, and the forklift is many many years older than we were told. Sadly, I fee we were taken advantage of seeing that it is not our area of expertise. I dont know a company succeeds and gets by each day knowing what they are doing to customers, and if they dont know....shame on mgmt!

I purchased a forklift from Otay-Mesa. I dealt with James Meyer from the beginning.He was courteous and helpful.Not only would I do business with him again, but I would highly recommend him.

Beware buyers this people are scammers . All there used equipment leaking oil and lots of parts are broken . It’s not worth the trip to go see those machines
