Excellent place and fantastic workmanship! Puppie is a great guy and his shop is classic. He caters to military, LEOs, firefighters and other first responders. He resewed a leather name tag on my leather flight jacket on the spot and beautifully, even doing a tricky part so the liner inside can still zip in. He makes all kinds of custom upgrades. A classic cool character in a quirky, fun shop. Go there!
Great guy and super helpful. Knows his stuff, easy to work with. Highly recommend. Helped us punch a hole in a bracelet. Did it perfectly in just a few minutes.
Best place in ob for any leather work hands down Eric can get it done!
By far the most enthusiastic, most knowledgeable, best guy around who really truly loves his craft. I cannot recommend this shop enough!
Very reasonable prices and helpful. The shop owner took time to help me get exactly what I wanted and had it to me sooner than promised. Full of knowledge and stories.
Meh why even have a website. Not tourist friendly.
Had useful things, and the proprietor definitely knows his leathercrafting. But many boxes of useful things were empty, and the proprietor was aggressive and dismissive; I did not like interacting with him unless the subject was a straight forward whats the right tool for this project thing. When it was, though, excellent, two thumbs up. Other pros and cons - being right on the beach the location is lovely, which also means parking is terrible.
Im extremely impressed with the quality, strength, and durability, of leather works.
Eric is THE most knowledgeable person and is not afraid to help by any means. I simply could not have made my full leather Spartacus gladiator costume without his help or guidance. Great products, will get you what you need, explain step-by-step how-tos if you need. Great deals. All around best shop in SD and greater SD. Cant beat the price, product, or service.
Eric is hands down the best leather craftsman in Ca.
Didnt have what I was looking for, but the owner asked questions about my project and gave me some options. Even though it didnt work out this time for me I can see this place has a lot to offer and can be a resource later.
Very friendly and knowledgeable about his craft Very helpful helping you figure out what you need.
First time I came here the guy seemed uninterested in helping me and sent a woman out who seemed to know nothing about leatherwork hardware or pricing. She seemed like a deer in the headlights when I asked about river materials. They do have a decent supply of hardware and material for a small-scale store. I was able to get what I needed. It was hard to get any insight and guidance about their particular products.Once again I was in a bind and so I drove all the way out here again (40 minute drive) to get some hardware, but when I got there they had a sign saying they’re closed for “military work” (because the guy does some fancy emblem stuff for cadets.) I called before I came but their voicemail made no mention of being closed despite it being their usual business hours.Came back four days later (on a Tuesday,) and again just closed. Soooo lane
Eric and his Mom are the best!! They are super knowlegable and have a great selection of leather, tools and equipment. Love this place.
Eric and his mom are very friendly, knowledgeable and they LOVE our military. Best place to go for your leather projects!
Best place for your leather needs! Great family shop.
Price, value, selection...nobody comes closeMost importantly is the knowledge the shops owner has gained and how he is there to help.
Owner knows his craft and is of a dimishing breed.
Best leather store in OB and SD. Eric is the man!
