Friendly service, great selection, and perfect location!! Best liquor store / market in the area

It deserves at least a star because it exists...but only if you are desperate. Expensive. Wanted to charge 90% more if I bought 1 not 3. Then bill was 24% more than price, then gives me the wrong receipt. On calling, clerk plays games, “I DK what tax is, call owner”, “We’ll we do charge for using a card, everyone does”. Actually only S Mission does. “What you buy $100,000 worth?”, he hangs up. Sad.* 1) Can not legally surcharge a debit card, they did 2) Illegally failed to provide receipt 3) or notice of surcharge. Sooo, other than gross, expensive, deceitful, illegal and rude it’s a real Ace.

This is the only store at the South end of mission Beach. The parking is difficult. Selection of items is good. The fact that you dont have to drive to another store and still deal with parking is worth a four star rating just for that. Good customer service.

The best liquor store in South Mission Beach.

Works for your basic bodega good liquor selection. Last time I was there the guy at the counter told me my total, then tried to charge $2 extra. When I called him out on it he said android pay transactions have $2 fee. I asked what the debit card fee was, he said $1 so I gave him my card, and he tried to sneak the $2 extra again and I had to call him out for it again. If you want to deal with this shady nonsense be my guest, but Im a local/regular... Never again.

If you are looking for cheap liquor and nasty hobos hanging around, this is it. Close to Mariners Basin, which is why it gets high marks for me.

The owner of this store is rude and a JERK. I watched him curse out an old lady that just wanted to cash in a lottery ticket and told her if she wasnt buying he wasnt paying. and then proceeded to tell her to get the F out of his store if she wasnt buying anything. I hope this isnt a sign of the type of customer service that America should expect to get in the future.
