The service was good, but very busy. The turn around is very slow due to the volume and its still fairly expensive, but its probably your best bet here in SD.

Mike is really professional and delivered beyond expectations. I went to several other shops that turned me away because the speaker was unrepairable, but he got it back to me very quickly and less than expected. Any audio problems I have in the future I will be sprinting back to Mike!

SCAM ALERT. They will give you a price on the phone and after work is done they will upcharge you with no reason. They won’t ask if you agree with the pricing and want to move forward with the repair. I had to replace my power supply port on my keyboard. The said it was going to be in between 80 and 120 TOPS. They tried to charge me 180, and I was able to bring it down to 131. Still higher than what they had agreed upon. Not going back again.

Mike is someone who underpromises and overdelivers! I thought my repair would take much longer than it did, and be much more expensive. His quality and turnaround time really delivered when we needed it! Thanks again.

Very professional and responsible business I think. The old sound in music repair took a long time, months. This gentleman is on top of everything that he does, doesn’t let things sit, and is constantly in a waiting mode for parts from the equipment he’s asked to repair. It should take 3 to 5 weeks to repair but it always seems he’s in a waiting mode to receive parts or parts that have been repaired elsewhere. In my case it was a very important part that he had to find as a salvaged part online, get it in and it was the wrong part. Then they sent him the correct part but the whole thing took about nine weeks total. The stuff I have in now has been in for about five weeks but he called me to tell me that the plate on the back was missing and he had to order a new piece. It works except for the plate. So I get it at least it’s not six or seven months like in the old repair place.

My experience with San Diego Sound & Music Repair was stellar. They gave me a 3 week time frame (I would not expect less from someone doing good quality work that keeps them busy) and finished before the estimated time. Very professional, knowledgeable and nice staff. As a busy working musician, I appreciate the fast turn around. Thanks to all of you and I will be using them to repair my gear in the future....highly recommended!

Horrible service, I was given a 3-4 week repair time for my guitar amp, and it has been 8 weeks and I am still waiting on the repair. They said they had to ship a part however it only takes maybe a week to ship, so basically it just sat around for 7 weeks without even being touched.
