Nice place lots of games.. puzzles etc books on chess and stuff backgamon sets... Small game area in the back game nights (you need to register ahead of time) ... Greeted at the door by nice friendly staff asking they could help with anything...

Gamescape is the best place for supplies. Price for pokemon is average market price. Totally understandable.. but supplies are bar none cheaper..

Came in to look around and was treated very friendly by the guy at the counter who was friendly and talkative, made me feel welcome. I even made it a point to make sure and tell them how great it was to see long time stores in the community still open. There were these two people sitting in the back, one of whom had a dog that tried to bite me and when I was perfectly friendly to the dog the owner acted like I had done something wrong didn’t even apologize who after which the guy at the counter apologized for the other guys dog.Then I went as far as asking the girl sitting in the back if TSR was still a company and the little girl was so yo g she had no idea what I was talking about and totally sneared at me and acted like it was a effort to answer my question.Then when I left as said thanks for letting me look around the only person to respond was the counter person.Very disrespectful and arrogant. Favorite game stop in the city. Incredible selection and great suggestions if you need some help. The staff is passionate and friendly, and will give you an honest opinion if asked. I always like to stop by every few weeks to see whats new on their shelves. Definitely worth a visit even if you arent a hardcore board game person. Theres something for everyone.

Gamescape (AKA the best tabletop gaming store in town!) always stocks a good selection of currently-popular TTRPG books, games of all types (board, card, dice, etc), as well as miniatures, a couple of lines of miniature paints & supplies, puzzles, and traditional game needs (chess, poker, cribbage, etc.) Staff is always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and happy to answer any questions. They have a good-sized library of games that you are welcome to try at their game tables in the back, which also are used in the evenings for weekly gaming. (Check the calendar on their website for the latest info).

Good selection, knowledgeable service, and an uncluttered store. Hosted game nights before covid-19, which really strikes me as the difference between the kind of place where you want to shop and where you dont.

Really great game store! Tons of the latest and classic games. They got a few tables in the back for playing games, they have weekly game days and hold tournaments regularly. Everything is very well priced and the staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about all the games they carry and even the ones they dont!

Went for Friday Night Magic. Im not a regular Magic player but everyone was very friendly and social. They didnt take it easy on me! But thats fine, its still a good time. Even if you lose all your games.

I was just passing through as a tourist, but I saw plenty of gaming tables in the back half, and everyone who was working that day was very nice and helpful, and a perfect balance of attentive without being pushy salesmen.It appears to stick pretty close to retail prices, didnt spot any sale items. Not surprising considering the location.

This is the best of the few game stores in town. If youre looking for a specific game, no matter how obscure, published within the past 15 years or so, there is a VERY good chance theyll have it. There are also local tournaments for you competitive types out there. They also hold weekly ongoing game nights of all sorts of board, card and strategic games. They also have a huge variety of high quality European jigsaw puzzles.

Just gambling!!!! They control winning and loosing and as you get up in levels it is ridiculous how hard it is to beat a level. Goal to pay for things to pass these levels, I get it, BUT over the top guys!

Took a couple friends there to buy their first magic cards. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They didnt try pushing products on us. They even told us where we can get some singles, since unfortunately, they dont sell singles.

Lots of fun games, flexible staff, plenty of tables to play games, scenery available for RPGs. They have something fun every night, Mondays is to try out their board games and Fridays is MTG. They let us try out a game we were thinking of buying on a Tuesday, so theyre not super rigid about the schedule. The prices are pretty reasonable. Especially for being in the middle of San Fransisco.

Really good board game selection. Fantastic layout with facilities to try before you buy. The back of the ship has a large gaming area to hang out and play either something you purchased or something they have on the shelves. Staff were really friendly too!

Best game shop in the area! If they dont have the title youre looking for, most likely no other retailer will either.Minus a star because they never seem to have to have sales off of MSRP? You can often find cheaper prices online but if you need a game in a pinch, this is absolutely your best bet.Do-it-yourself gift wrap available in the back. Not great return policy (store credit with receipt only) so be sure you need whatever youre buying (last minute gifts, etc.)

Bounced me at 7. Store was full of 40k players and I could almost taste the fun, then they took it away. In from out of town, 2000 miles from home, and I couldnt make it through the door. I guess get there by 7 or dont go at all. Ever.

A good local game shop that has a good selection of games and products. They host many events, including MTG and D&D. Be sure to call or email ahead to reserve a spot because some events (like Friday Night Magic) can fill up if you just show up expecting to get a seat.

A whole bunch of low-tech (voluntarily) games, with a place for people to hang out and play together. As for me, I found Hanayama cast brain teasers, all levels!!! Brilliant!
