Ive been wanting to come here for a while I am a huge hot N spicy fanatic. I love trying different things. My experience was great and the gentlemen working there was such a kind and helping host. I am planning on going back soon to restock my new favorite sauce Sweet but sinister the name reminded me of myself, although I might not taste as good as the sauce lol. This store is such a fun place I had a ball looking at the variety of sauces and dry rubs. It was also very organized and clean.

Very friendly staff, asked me about how spicy I could handle and made recommendations on sauces to try.

My husband and I stopped by Pepper Palace while visiting San Francisco. We purchased several products and paid for shipping. We never received our products. I have called, emailed and receive no response (although they state your call will be answered the next business day) Two weeks later in the process of disputing the charges. Just on principal alone. While reading some of the other reviews I see this is the way they do business.

Amazing employee working there. Enjoyed talking about hot sauces, and I knew I recognized this establishment because I’ve been to another one in Nashville! Honestly some great sauces and friendly staff.

How fun! Some of the hot sauces and bbq sauces were phenomenal... others were a bit of a stretch. Tiny spot but I love that there is an option to stop and try out the many options while walking around Fisherman’s Wharf. Family favorites: Black Rose and the Mango BBQ Sauce. When we were there a lost bird was strolling around the place, that was pretty hilarious!! He left without buying anything 😂

Walked in with a buddy of mine excited to show him the store as we have PP stores in the midwest where I come from, and im excited to see a familiar face that reminds me of home.As me and my friend take our walk through trying the assorted sauces and seasonings (after thoroughly santizing of course) we are approached by an employee, who must have previously had a job in some higher scale buisiness and screwed the pooch so hard the only place of employment he could find afterwards was a hot sauce shop, and promptly asked to leave because (and i quote) you guys looked like you havent showered in weeks. Yes those were his exact words.And yes, being homeless, it is kind of difficult to shower.Pepper palace dissapoints me, having this kind of faculty at a buisiness that was once near and dear to my heart.

Pretty impressive supermarket. Its literally a chilli market with every hot sauce you can imagine. What makes it more interesting is, the owner seems to create all the brands within the store!

I enjoyed this hot n spicy shop. The gentleman working was extremely helpful. I was able to try different hot sauces, and wound up selecting a pineapple hot sauce🍍they also have rubs and seasoning for different meats, as well as BBQ sauce. One could definitely spend a good amount of time in this joint!

I would rate zero stars if that were an option. We bought hot sauce while we were traveling and they offered to ship it to us. A month went by and it never came. I called the store and the guy seemed very proactive and gave me his personal number. He asked when the purchase was made and said he would make it right. It’s now been 10 months and we’ve never seen our hot sauce. Don’t waste your money.

Definitely would go back especially if Chet is working he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the products.

Soo many sauces! Bring plenty of $$$ when you come here, your gonna want to buy several things. BBQ sauce and of course Hot Sauce. Samples available, almost mandatory (lol) Chet is very cool to chat with, he is definitely a real pepperhead!

Surprisingly good place for such a tourist-oriented area (and touristy appearance, honestly). Wide range (in spice level and flavor palatte) of sauces and spices, all made solely for the store and tasteable right there with no hassle; graze the store to your hearts delight. You wont find your old favorite sauce, but you might find a new favorite!

Very nice shop. They let you sample the different sauces and spices to find the right ones for you. I also tried 5 drops of The End hot sauce... The tastiest 6 million scoville hot sauce Ive tried. They and I recommend getting milk or ice cream after, even 3 bottles of water arent enough to cut the spice fully

You can try virtually all of the sauces from mild to death, first time Ive seen that so well done. Made it fun and I found one I liked that I might never have bought otherwise. Check it out!

Chet is awesome.My friends call me Dr. Pepper. I love Ghost peppers, reapers, and super hots. While exploring the wharfs, I stumbled on little shop and was thrilled by the amazing selection of hot sauces, wing sauces, and even travel eligible sauces. I’ll happily return. 🌶🌶🔥

Awesome selection of sauces and you can sample!! Hottest on requires a waiver signing but it’s worth it, just be sure to go next door for ice cream afterward!! Friendly and helpful staff.

Very cool place that allows you to sample and try very spicy sauces. BBQ has some good ones too. Go inside to register to ask for the waiver for THE END sauce to sample or to buy the spicy gummy bear.

Love Pepper Palace, always have to stop into one whenever I come across one in a tourist area, LOL. The experience of browsing around, taste-testing new hot sauces with crazy & interesting artwork on the labels, and then finally choosing a favorite to take home and remember the city you visited each time you use the sauce back at home...This particular location was very well located and the shop manager on duty was friendly and helpful.

The selection of sauces is wide and very good. The owner is super cool and makes it a must visit place.

Plenty of selection, although almost every item comes from their in-house brands and it is quite expensive (to be expected given the location). If you want to stock up on differently flavored sauces thats your spot, but if you are a hot sauce junkie like me, youll find better elsewhere.

If you dont find a hotsauce, bbq sauce, salsa or dip you dont like here, do you even like that stuff? 100% recommended.

Lots of sauces and dips, all of which are free to try. Super friendly staff who walked me through what was in each sauce I asked about, and helped me pick some airplane safe products and informed me of locations close to my home. Will definitely be buying again.

All the hot sauces are made by pepper palace and are way too expensive. 16 bucks for a ghost pepper hot sauce. Go online and get one for 7... total tourist trap kinda place. Also the selection was kind of sparse when I went on 7/19/17.

Great Service! I bought the end for my son who informed me it was hot. We were offered a try when we bought but declined... But we did get a copy of the disclaimer! Definitely worth a visit while you are at the wharf.

Hyuuuge selection of hot sauces and many to sample as well. I tried their hottest hot sauce (the end) which had Carolina reaper in it and it was a fun experience. Theres a ben n Jerrys around the corner, and ice cream shop one block down which can be really helpful after sampling their hottest sauce. No ketchup just sauce, raw sauce

So we are here visiting san Francisco and my husband find this wonderful shop full of even more amazing sauces last night and we brought my father in law to try some of the sauces also and the owner I didnt catch his name is an amazing person and shop owner he was so friendly and helpful wanting to help to navigate your way around his shop of sauces and he thanked my father in law for his service and even went out of his way to take care of us while we were sampling and purchasing he has our business forever and he even threw in a bottle of hot sauce for my father in laws service brought so much emotion to us that a business owner could be so caring and passionate about his customers thank you again we appreciate you!!!!

Tasted The End . wow ! Felt like the end had come.

Loved this place. Pepper Palace is a super great store. We usually stop at the stores that they have i Gatlinburg Tennessee. They have about five to six stores thriugh out Gatlinburg and some stores through out Pigeon Forge also. Its great to see they also have a store at Fishermans Warf in San Fransisco California. We always stop by Pepper Palace no matter what state there in because we love this place. We use to get the Hot Tamales they use to sale but they quit selling those due to cost. I use to buy several bags of these every time i stopped by there stores. We also buy the large jars of there chucky sliced pickles they are also great. They also have a lot of barbecue sauces and a lot of pre packaged dips so you can make after you get home. This store has a lot of competition in gatlinburg and pigeon forge but dont fall for these other stores, Pepper Palace is the bomb. They are the best and always will be. We have been shopping here for over twenty years at least. We have a lot of there old bags that have the wooden handles on them. I use them when we go shopping on vacations they are really good bags to carry my stuff in when buying from other stores. They made these bags for advertisement and they are really good for that. I think they should bring the smaller bags back because they would be great advertisment for there stores I love them. I hope you get to stop buy one of there stores because they are great. We love the stores that they have and will continue to shop at them until we are not able to. Pretty much everything they have seemed proprietary. This is not your place if you’re a connoisseur looking for tough-to-find brands.

The person there is friendly and knowledgeable and there are samples of many of the sauces. Ended up doing with his recommendation of a travel sized Himalayan Gogi Berry and The End.

Found out about this place by curiosity, but as a fan of hot and tasty, Im glad I did! The staffs customer service and conduct leaves something somewhat to be desired, depending on where you go, but the stuff sold here is too awesome. Im on my second bottle of Flashbang in a year, and I plan to get more. Got some dry rub, delicious BBQ sauce and other stuff at the one in Monterey before, I didnt know there was one in SF! Please, never change your recipes or your prices, your stuff is too good to pass up, especially when you make me sign a pain waiver before I try it!

The customer service is terrible and he tries to bait people into sampling the hottest sauce possible in hopes of selling them $2 bottle of water.

If you want to pay $10+ per very small hot sauce this is the place to shop. They do have some nice hot sauces but soooo over priced and no local discounts.

Amazing. Best hot sauce variety ever. And the guy there. Absolutely knowledgable and super friendly. Couldnt ask for a better experience. The one hot sauce you have to sign a waiver. Whewy!!! Worth it. Ps. I cant remember the name of the guy there just he worked Wednesday feburary 20th between 2:30 and 5 oclock.Pss. Holy crap if you like chilli (like I do) this place is heaven! If you cant handle the heat dont stress, they have all levels of spice from mild up to insane. Chilli sauces / rib and wing sauce / meat rubs / bloody mary mix, they have it all, and you can sample the huge selection of house-made ones. Now they just need to expand to Australia for me...
