Cars been running great, found my new local mechanic after my first visit here. Price was fair, work was pretty quick, office forgot to call once job was done, but they are highly responsive and communicate really well.Ill be bringing my car here for future work and liking forward to keeping it running well.

My old Honda Odyssey was having problems with engin check and TSC lights on. I brought it to A1, they helped me to fixed all the problems and my car running well again. The price are good and reasonable. Thank you and I will recommend it to my friends and will take my car there again if it needs maintenance service.

Harry is an enthusiast and expert mechanic. I bought a Lotus Elise in LA, was about to drive it back across the country, but the thermostat failed. Harry took care of the car and fixed it up the very day I called, even though its a hard part to access and change. He and his people are super kind and helpful. Harry himself has a ton of experience. This would be my primary shop if I lived in LA.

Good reliable service at good prices. Only issues for me is that they dont open weekends now. Not sure if its dur to COVID19. Otherwise nice family run business and I have been going to them for at least 10 years. Had my Subaru rear brakes done last week for under $170 and in 2 hours.

Best service in the area. I have a 350z that I’ve been taking there for many years. He will not sell you anything you don’t need. One time i took in my car because it wasn’t starting and it was a small part. He only charged me $20. I’ve also had bigger jobs done like engine gasket. No problems at all after many years.

Fong is very good at keeping in touch with me while they are going over my car. I have had major and minor problems. I have always felt that I was treated fairly.....Raul is my hero.... Everyone there takes good care of your vehicle..

When I first arrived for an oil change around 1130 they quoted me an hour wait I was cool with that! An hour and a half went by and my car still wasnt done and the lady kept telling me another fifteen min... She said that about 3 times!!! Its wasnt until 2 that I got my car back and they didnt clean my windows or vacuum my floors and they charged me extra for a part they didnt have even after I waited 2 1/2 hours

Auto shop is one of those services that you are really at the mercy at the honesty and integrity of the people running the business, especially for someone who doesnt know too much about cars. Either you learn more about cars, or you find an auto mechanic that you trust. A1 one is of the laters. They dont give you the B.S that everything you bring your car in, youll always need a major job done that costs hundreds, if not thousands. They get right to the problem and get the work done. The place is clean and fairly comfy. If you have to wait couple hours, there are quite a few cafes and restaurants closed by.

Over the past couple years Ive had them do a smog, periodic service, and fix a leaky tire--all reasonably priced and relatively quick. Parking and capacity are a bit tight.

This is an awesome shop! I have been going to them for over 15 years. I am pretty handy around cars and have replaced engines and transmissions. Their prices are fair and they stand behind their work. I no longer really work on my own cars. They specialize in all type of cars and actually have the Lotus and Miata crowds drive over hundreds of miles to get their cars fixed. Harry races a Lotus and sometimes a Miata. Harry will install custom parts for your track car and will do custom alignments. Over the years, they have serviced or repaired 2 RVs, Land Rover, 5 Merkurs, 2 Mercedes W123 diesels, 2 Mercedes W210 diesels, Ford Econoline diesel van, VW Jetta TDI, and several Toyotas and Nissans. They can pretty much do anything car related from replacing engines to simple oil changes.

They did an excellent job installing four new shocks and rear brake pads. I will definitely go back when needed.

A few years ago, I drove to this small automotive shop for a simple smog check (now Star-certified!). Despite how busy it looked on a Saturday morning, the wait took less than half an hour. Paperwork was sent in electronically, $35 paid, and I was on my way!Since then, Ive come in for multiple repairs including idle air control service, tune ups, oil changes, replacing a broken radiator, and most recently, replacing front brakes. Admittedly, A1 is not the absolute cheapest shop ever, but after all this time and work, I can truly say that they are honest, trustworthy, and quite friendly! Ive never had a bad experience dealing with Fong or Robin (or any of the mechanics) at the front desk, and they also patiently explain anything I dont understand about repairs. If you dont know anything about cars or why somethings wrong - just ask them!Prices are estimated up front, even before any work is done, and is outlined clearly, so you dont have to worry about them sneaking in some hidden costs like some other shops. Usually, diagnosis is free! Even when I decide not to get something fixed by them right then, I never feel pressured to do so. The only exception was with my brakes, which were terribly worn and squeaky. Those were in dire need of replacing, and though they had less than an hour before closing to get everything done (OEM front brakes ordered from dealer + installation + resurfacing), they stayed later to finish. If you live close by and the repair takes some hours, they can also offer you a ride home and call when your car is ready.Ive seen a lot of Lotuses, a few luxury vehicles, and simple commuter cars like my aging Civic - but they really can work on them all, and well.
