Dr eye female dr was very nice and explained every detail very satisfying! But I ordered my eyeglasses and promised me it will done 2 wks. Which is very a long for me to wait considering my 9ld glasses is broken so I called back in 2 wks. And said its not ready yet! I asked them why it takes so long for it to get ready? They said they have to wait for my insurance to approve it... and I paid $250.00 upfront! I told why didnt to you tell me then so I could pay for the amount because I need my glasses Asap I need for my job! Im work as a Operating room tech. Besides that I drive one hour and half to work every day! The Lady said sorry sir I leave a message to the lady that took care of you! She never called me back! So I called back 3 day after and they said she isnot there today ! Very disappointed! Its almost 4 wks. Now and havent got glasses yet!!!

This was my first time getting an eye exam and golden vision has set high standards for me! Will and Kay were very helpful at the front and did their best to accommodate me. The whole process was very quick and I forgot to get the Dr’s name. David was very patient and gave me extra time and tips on what frames to choose. Will definitely be coming back in the future!

The doctor was nice, however, whoever picked up the phone was very rude. She didn’t let me finish what I was asking and cut me off multiple times. Please train the receptionists better in customer service.

I went for a regular eye exam amid the pandemic. Nice approach by checking temperature and hand sanitizer before entering the shop. Sign in was fast so as the wait time. My kids have been coming to this place for 4 years already and they provide really good customer service. Most importantly, I love Christin’s professional and helpful service. She has been guiding us through every step with patience and is also extremely friendly. I also love Dr. Voong because she’s very professional and patient with my kids. We’ve enjoyed coming to this place because of Christin and Dr. Voong. They both are valuable assets and great additions to the company.

This was some of the best eye care Ive received! I loved being able to schedule an appointment online, especially one on a weekend. Their process is fast and efficient. They treat their patients like intelligent humans, but dont skip over important details. Dr. Lao was professional, kind, and accommodating. At other places I was bullied for ordering my glasses from outside companies, but here people respected my preferences. They were clear about my insurance coverage and made sure I was getting the most affordable eye care possible. THANK YOU, Golden, for such a painless experience. I will definitely be back.

This vision center has a really large selection of frames including all the high end brands like Ray Ban. They do eye exams and have eye doctors on site. I used my vision insurance for a free eye exam, free pair of Ray Ban sunglasses, and free pair of computer glasses. I was completely satisfied with my purchase. I was helped by Chloe Wan who was super patient and kind. She took plenty of time helping me choose out my favorite frames.

I used to like this shop and had good experience. However I had an unpleasant experience with David on my recent visit. Im not returning because of his unprofessional and his unfriendly tone of voice.

While I was choosing a new frame for my night driving glasses, Wing Tsang saw me looking at the different selection of frames there were. He started to give me his honest opinions about all the different frames that were available, regardless of price.I tried on many different frames, about 8 of them, and he told me how each different frame suited or didnt suit my face shape, skin color, etc. What I thought was particularly heart-warming was that he generously gave my case to be Chloes account.While I was there I ran into Christin Chiu. She has helped my family for the past 20 or more years. She has always given me her honest recommendation. She give us a sense of security and trust; she has proven this time and time again which is why I feel safe now letting my three kids to in by themselves because I know she is there to take care of them.

Very busy place. The sales associate Chloe is very friend, patient and helpful. She has been helping me for the past 3 years. Helped pick up 4 pairs of eye glasses which fitted my style, taste and personality perfectly.Chloe also helped my mom picked up 2 pair of eye glasses as well,she gave her great advice on frame, type of glasses to use. Overall, Chloe has been great and wish every associates in the store like her, having such patient, professionalism and expertise.

Our family has patronized Golden San Gabriel Optometric Vision Center ever since it opened its door 20+ years ago. The staff there is always courteous and helpful, in particular, Christine.Christine is knowledgeable in optical insurance, and she has the patience and ability to explain and educate us on how the $$$ work. She has worked with us on many eye examinations, glasses, contact lens, and a laser lasik procedure. Recently, I had to ask her on the different types of eye drops and how patients reacted to them; she educated me on the general eye health care and the common side effects. She is my trusted resource and I know she can explain the complicated eye issues in simple layman terms. Thank you Christine!

The doctors are professional and the staff is nice. However, the glasses department is lacking. I placed an order for glasses a month ago and was told they would be ready in three weeks. I called several times to confirm the glasses were on their way, but when I called to confirm the glasses were ready to be picked up (four weeks after my appointment) I was told the order had not been placed.At no point in my three previous phone calls was I told the order had not been placed. When I spoke with the person who I ordered the glasses from he told me that I never placed the order, and he also said I never spoke with him to confirm that they were on their way. I know I spoke with him at least twice. I now have to re-pick my frames and wait another month for my glasses. I hope they place the order this time. Credit where credit is due, they did agree to waive the co-payment on my next visit, however this has been a frustrating experience. Two stars for effort.

I did not expect to come here on the day that I did, but seeing an optometrists place in the San Gabriel square I visit often, I thought about getting a new pair of glasses. Despite being busy enough to have employees rush from station to station, the staff was able to give me the proper care to get me through all the procedures and on my way home. The usual eye examinations were done, but the difference lies in the atmosphere of the place. Employees such as George, Tiffany, and Michael had an energy that made the visit very enjoyable. I cant wait to go back to pick up my lenses in a few weeks.

I have been going to San Gabriel Golden Vision for basically all my life. I started going here because my older sisters also came here and weve always had to love and attention of Christin Chiu. Whenever we came in, she would drop what she was doing to help us.Now that I am older and I am starting to take care of many of my own things, its very comforting being able to see a familiar face and knowing that I am being taken care of someone that I trust. No matter what problem or reason that I am going in for, Christin always helps me and make me feel comfortable and safe; from general follow up exams to more tedious things like renewing my Ortho-K contract, she is always there for me.One downside of this Golden Vision branch is the wait times. There are times where I have had to wait an additional 10-20 minutes for my exam even though I had scheduled an appointment ahead of time.Aside from that, the Golden Vision San Gabriel branch has always some how always found a way to feel like home, despite the constant change in doctors, and I have to credit a lot of that to Christin Chiu. No matter how changes there are, I know that when she is taking care of me there is nothing to worry about.

I visit this optometric vision center every year for my eye exam. The staffs here are awesome, most of them are bilingual even multilingual, no communication barrier here. Sometimes I just feel like no call ahead, no problem! walk-ins are always welcomed. Every doctor here is thoughtful and professional!

I brought my mom in to get a pair of reading glasses and was so impressed with their extensive selection of brand name frames. They literally carry every designer brand you can think of! with that said, of course it took my mom forever to decide on a frame. luckily, Jen was there to help my picky mom pick out the perfect frame. she spent 2 hours helping us and we cant thank her enough for being so patient and nice, she even offered us a great discount. thank you Jen!!

I wish there is a NEGATIVE/ZERO rating if there is a slot provided. This office is been so disorganized, lack of proper relation between the staff and the Doctors. There were more than multiple times that made us so so frustrated the way the associates deal with appointments, waiting periods and schedules. The only reason We have to deal with business with this place just because my kids are wearing OR-THO k eye contacts, its very costly, and not easy for us to have other Or-tho K Optometrist to start over. We have deals with this place more than eight years, we are speechless, if you want to try out this place to have eyes exams, please do more research, we recommend try smaller optometry corporation than have to deal with larger corporation, its just wasting time and youll paying more for your glasses.

Ive been coming here for years for both eye exams and to buy glasses, and can say that the staff here is very professional. Theyre very friendly, are efficient in processing large amounts of patients/customers, and have a thorough battery of test equipment for your eyes.The only complaint I have is that the mens eye glass selection seems rather limited. There are a number of brand name frames (ie, expensive), but not as many mid-price range frames to choose from (in my opinion). I wish theyd expand their selection for men.

This place is really good like most people say. I went in and got an eye exam done surprisingly quick. The doctor and staff members were very helpful and nice, especially Michael Mak. He took his time to explain to me the different brands of glasses and each grades of coating for the lens. In turn, that allowed me to pick the right glasses.I was very satisfied with his expertise and customer service skills. I highly recommend Michael Mak and I would ask for him again on my next visit.

* BAD Business Alert - Shop at YOUR OWN Risks *WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER in SGVNEGATIVE Star!Came here for eye exam, glasses shopping, eye re-exam, glasses reassessment...The entire team ganged up to convert (not convinced politely) me that none of them did any part of the process incorrectly, I am THE CAUSE of the error... They actually have a checklist to send me to each station for reassessment, which shows how frequently error occurs here...As DR. TSAI (who thought I didnt see she rolled her eyes at me from the mirror reflection in the tiny eye exam room) claims, the prescription was a quarter OFF... She tries to tell me that this is a small error... but it is noticeable enough and make me feel dizzy as soon as I put them on... Her entire re-exam was a joke and waste of time, as she just wants to tell me that I did not allow my eyes to adjust to the OFF prescription... According to her, I should put up with the dizzyness and OFFness for weeks to force my eyes to adjust to this error... Id like to check with the optometrist board about her practice and attitude...The old lady with glasses who recheck my glasses at the counter also seem to be a veteran in dealing with reassessment... She definitely has this F-OFF attitude... I told her that the initial eye exam doctor (mandarin speaking, male) kept swing his head back and forth to block my sight as he flips the choice 1- choice 2 lens during the entire eye exam... It was extremely difficult to sit through that eye exam... I feel super iffy about my resulting prescription... Guess what she told the receptionist desk staff? She told them that I was not fast enough to catch what the optometrist was flipping... AGAIN, I am to blame... She put the glasses against the machine to check the prescription and asked me whether I should have stigmatism in one of my eyes... So, if the glasses prescription checked by the machine shows no discrepancies from the prescription written in the paperwork, why would she ask me what my prescription should be?I totally get what they were doing... They did all that to push every responsibility off their shoulders so they dont have to re-do the glasses for me at their costs... Definitely a waste of time, so I strongly suggest you not to patronize businesses like this...It is definitely the 1st time for me to hear that customer is at fault and I must give weeks to force my eyes to adjust to a pair of glasses that doesnt make me feel comfortable wearing...Its ridiculous... Its the same as going back to a tailor a week after because the dress doesnt fit the same as how you were measured a week ago... and the tailor tells you that your dress size is different because you ate a buffet on the day you were measured... so you need to eat a buffet to make sure you have a bigger waistline to fit the dress every time you want to wear it...I only wish my original optometry shop will re-open soon as their shop got burned down... Their service is incomparably better!!!

I have been coming here for the last 8+ years and never felt the need to go to any other optometrist as Golden San Gabriel has all the latest styles of frames at every price point from very economical to very high end. They are definitely very busy (especially on the weekends) so making an appointment is very important if you want to get in and out within 1-2 hours with eye test done, frames chosen and ordered. This business has been great in upgrading their customer management and operations systems so even with such a high volume of customers, everything feels very organized and well run. I especially am very attached to some of their eyewear consultants i.e. Chloe, William etc who are offer great customer service in helping with choosing eyewear to adjusting the frames during pick-up and after sales services. I like that I can just walk in and ask for help with small repairs and tweaks to my eyewear. Being a person who very seldom wear contact lenses (though they do have this aspect covered), I really love the variety of all the latest fashion in frames they have for sale, Oliver Peoples, Thom Browne etc I picked up all these here and always get compliments on how nice my eyewear looks each time I get new ones. Quality wise, all my prescriptions are spot on and I never had any issues in this regard.

Very bad service, I called to ask them to confirm with the insurance, but one week passed no one ever call me back. Today I call again, some picked up the phone and ask me to hold. I am holding for 40 min already still no one come back to me. I do not how much longer I have to wait.
