Jim and Bill are older guys who know their stuff. I pay extra and wait a little longer sometimes to get my Centurion surf boat serviced and stored here. They specialize in water ski wake and surf inboard/ vdrive boats. They did a good job of installing through-hull underwater RGB lights on the back of my boat and it looks bitchin. They also do annual service, repairs, etc. I had them put a new axle on my V&M trailer and they got it done right.
Excellent customer service and work. The price is steep but well worth it. You get what you pay for.

I dont know what happen with the two people that gave topside marine a bad rating, theres two sides to every story. What I do know is Ive known Jim the owner for 30 years and he is the most meticulous, fair and thorough person Ive ever met. Does not matter what it is thats just who he is as a person. I have sent many friends to him and I have had nothing but five star service stories from them. I would recommend topside marine for anything I needed for my boat, I hope this helps.

Hello Jim and Bill, I am sending you our notice in writing as you requested that we are canceling our storage service with Topside Marine effective 8/8/2016 because your service tore our 1500.00 boat cover for 2015 Supreme wake boat while moving our boat to store it in your indoor facility that we have paid you 230.00 per month to store for the last year. (Over 3,000.00 at this point)It is very disappointing that you offered 1. to fix cover OR 2. replace the cover with the caveat that youd be giving us a 30 days notice was very disheartening....AND now on 8/16/16 you call us to notify us that you are refusing to replace the cover because we moved our boat?? However, when we picked up our boat on 8/9/16 it was with the understanding that wed be receiving a new boat cover because you said you could not guarantee it will not be damaged again so we went with option 2. to move our vessel in fear that it incur further damage. For the record neither --- Jim and Bill are men of their word.

Ive used Topside Marine twice, and I have been very happy with the customer service and the work they have done. Im left with the feeling that Bill and Jim care about the work they are doing, and they want their customers to be fully informed of their options. Bill asks a lot of questions, to be thorough. Thats good for me as relatively new boat owner. For the most recent service, it took a couple of weeks to complete things (it was a fairly long list, plus parts order). When it was all done, they went over the fixes and showed all the parts they replaced.I asked about some optional service, based on things I noticed on the boat and things I had read online. They explained the real reasons for doing that work, and while they were nice-to-have items I wouldnt benefit from the work. Jims position was to do the work the boat needs, and not do work just because. All the work they did was based on evidence of worn parts (eg. cracked belts), or needed maintenance (eg. noisy gimbal). Nothing was based on experiments or mystery fixes.Finally, they explained when I should schedule maintenance for various systems, based on hours of use (my boat doesnt have an hour meter). Some of what they found suggests the previous owner wasnt on top of the maintenance.My boat ran smooth and strong after the work they did.Ill be back. The labor cost is reasonable, and their estimates were accurate. I recommend their shop for your boat.
These guys must be crazy. We brought our 07 SV211 to them with some ballast issues. ( some of the tanks are intermittent and some of the gauges needed to be fixed.) This was all stuff we told them when we brought it in. They told us they would take a look at it and get back to us.However after a month and a week of holding the boat they called us to tell us that the pumps werent working and that they arent Certified Nautique Dealers so that cant fix it. Total waste of time and money as they also had the nerve to charge 400 dollars for NOTHING and disconnected my subwoofer completely from the cabin and didnt bother to bolt it back down. Real honest work.
