The name and ambience of the shop gives the impression of a nice brunchery, the prices on the surface seem reasonable, and the service is very polite.I don’t know about the other dishes, my companion said he enjoyed the queiche, although it was not the best. The crepe of Sweden was my order and I have a few comments. The meal was very obviously premade and reheated, possibly previously frozen, the chicken was very dry and had no flavor, the mushroom filling was flavorful but not nearly enough of it, and the exterior sauce was very lite, so they were not able to improve where the chicken was lacking. I feel they missed the mark on this dish, but have plenty of real options to improve it. The crepe itself unfortunately was heavy and undercooked. The dish is a good idea, just poorly executed.I hope they take this more as advice on improvement, I think they could really shine, and have a great idea.

In A Nutshell:-La Lune Sucree aka The Sweet Moon is a great place to grab some breakfast.-The little outdoor patio parallel to the Paseo de San Antonio makes for a picture perfect scene reminiscent your favorite arrondissement in Paris.-Now to the food, if you like crepes theres plenty choices here.-Their avocado toast is delicious along w/ their Breakfast Bendict.-They also love dogs here & while we were dining they offered to give our dog some chicken..how awesome is that!Overall, this a nice taste of France right here in DTSJ (Downtown San Jose)!

I still drop by this bakeshop every morning to buy bread and pastries. Im so glad, because they have good bread and pastries, that this bakeshop is near our house. What I like about this bakeshop is that it doesnt make their pastries too good.

Expensive and doesnt have a huge selection. I was expecting something more French-style, but it was still okay. Would be nice to have some cheaper and simpler crêpes options.

Its not terribly welcoming, but its a good option if you prefer a cleaner looking environment to the Philz to its left. The coffee isnt bad, and the food looks good, although I havent tried it yet. Its a good option if youre in a hurry for a coffee. The chairs could benefit from those little pads on the bottom of the legs to make them not screech as they cross the tile.

I want to start this off by saying that the person working was so nice and was lovely. But that being said we got almost nothing for the $20 we spent on some crepes and a sandwich. Very disappointed.

I visited here for a Saturday brunch. Nice European-style bakery.PRO: I had Moon over Norway (ham, poached egg, cheese, etc) and the stuff inside the crepe was EXCELLENT. Poached eggs were so good and just the overall flavor was great. Nice patio. Chocolate macaroon (the coconut flake thing, not the colourful mini-burger looking thing) was good. Almont croissant was good... like 7.5~8 out of 10.CON: The actual crepes. They were hard, rubbery, difficult to cut, and too chewy. I thought they were more like the Chinese scallion pancakes, but even tougher. Service felt a bit on the slow side.I give it 3 stars plus 1 more star for the excellent crepe filling.

We ordered a cake by phone and paid for it online. Cake is ready for pickup on time and the cake is fantastic! My 511 (yes, I read reviews and your responses before venturing into order a cake) daughter and her friends loved it. Awesome Chef Bettina and Mark!I wish you would do personalized names on cakes by the time we order our next one!

Nice environment. Fresh and delicious choices. The outside seats are so cute and pretty. The workers are friendly. However, The missing star because we had to wait for 15 min for a Nutella crepe, but we understood that because the man who was before us order took them a long time to prepare.

If you are an establishment that promotes yourself as a cafe selling coffee (a diuretic) with ample seating, but you do not have the capacity for a patron restroom, then you should probably reconsider your business choice. In addition to this deal-breaker, the lattes are very mediocre, the seats are uncomfortable and cheap, the decor (or lack thereof) is not cohesive making it difficult to determine what kind of restaurant this is, and finally the wifi does not work on laptops - I had to use Philz next door. Skip this confusing experience if you can avoid it.

I used to LOVE this place! And was excited when they re-opened. I dont know if it has to do with new ownership, but the food was not the same in terms of quality. I ordered their avocado TOAST with a POACHED egg on top. I even asked the cashier if the yolk would be runny, and she said yes. I got my toast.... which turned out to be a sandwich. Two pieces of wheat, sliced bread, hardly toasted, smooshed together with hardly mashed avocado and a HARD-BOILED egg that was cold and cooked all the way through in between. When I said something about it, she took it back, and brought it back out saying, ...we found one. What? They replaced it with a softer, but still cooked through, hard boiled egg... in sandwich form still. Im not one to leave reviews or complain about food, but I was so disappointed. Especially because I used to LOVE coming to eat here. And how do you mess up avocado toast??

I like this place a lot - the selection (lots of great crepes and other pastries, coffee, gelato, and more), style (a nice european vibe with relaxing jazz), and typical fullness are all great. However, it is quite costly and typical wait times are huge. If you are okay with those two flaws and like European-inspired breakfast or lunch food, this is a great place to try.

Nice restaurant and looks like its family run. However, since its only them. Things tend to move slow and it may take a while before you get your food. Please find a way to shorten the time from order to service. Can be on the higher price side.

Small and charming neighborhood shop. Good tasting pastries and sandwiches, albeit a little on the pricey side (not a random statement, but in contrast to other patisseries, such as Alexanders and Bouchons).Friendly staff, slow service...very slow. Coffee is ok (better to go next door to Philz for java.... Ive seen one of the owners do the same). Accepts mobile payment.Ill return, but maybe not so often.

The Salmon sandwich is actually lox, and quite good. Some of the beers are *very* expensive, but I think they have some beers you cant find easily elsewhere. Some of the chairs are *very* uncomfortable, and Id like to think thats not on purpose - seem designed to get you out of there ASAP.
