Today I stopped by Capitol Chevrolet to pick up touch up paint for my 1994 Pontiac Trans Am 25th anniversary the people at the parks department or courteous and kind my paint will be in in 6 days if you go by the showroom you can see the 2021 Indianapolis official pace car its an SS Camaro convertible I think my Trans Am will kick its butt though you know! Took someone 40 minutes to get to my car and check me in.I had to call someone to come and check me in as people arriving after me were getting checked before me.Took about 3h30 for what I came for to be a simple oil change and tire rotation and ended up being a $300 bill.Not sure exactly what I paid for but again better safe than sorry.Will see today how it goes as I am going back for a tire replacement.Giving them a second chance.
I must say I had a great experience at Capitol Chevrolet. I wasn’t sure what kind of service to expect while shopping for a new car, until we met James Martinez. Once James introduces himself, he extended such great customer service, he made purchasing a car fun. James took special interest in seeing us through the entire process. I would recommend anyone shopping for a car to go see James. You won’t regret it.
I spent 80k plus with an 8k markup. The whole experience was terrible. I know nothing about my suburban. We asked several questions and quickly realized our salesmen knew nothing about the vehicle. Respect for time was a 0/10 this dealership needs improvement. Ronaldo was super nice but didn’t know anything about the suburban we would really appreciate a follow up from a knowledge sales person. I love my car wish I knew how to use it. This dealership really dropped the ball. Finance was a complete joke not transparent at all. The only reason we purchased this vehicle is because we needed it and no other dealer had what we wanted. Very unpleasant experience I would not recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. Not a professional dealership.

He then listened patiently with all of my preferences/considerations, and educated me with all the options that were available. He also put together pricing that was the most compelling in the greater bay area. He also guided me to look at additional employer discount, and helped me avail additional savings of $750 in the process. Before I showed up at the dealership, Derek helped me prep with all the necessary paperwork to avoid any surprises. All we had to do when we showed up at the dealership was to walk-through of the lot to pick our preferred color and sign the paperwork for which he had created a template ahead of time. Don’t know what’s better than walk up service!!! I was greeted by Michael G and seconds later my would be advisor Andrew C came and wrote up my concern for the service of my 2020 Chevrolet Silverado. He was reassuring about how long it would take and was quick with the paperwork and is very communicative in both the business aspect of his job and continues with a great personable conversation. Andrew then escorted me to where the LYFT driver would be picking me up to take me to my home. I’ve been bringing my vehicles to Capitol Chevrolet for some time now and it’s primarily because of your employees like these two gentlemen that keep me coming back. Bought a Travel trailer and needed a bigger truck. Old one was my wifes baby. I told her she could get whatever new one she wanted, but it had to be a diesel. The experience was superb. I was looking for a Blazer RS and Capitol Chevrolet was one of the few dealers in CA that had one in stock. Derek form the Internet sales contacted me almost immediately when he saw that I was looking at a vehicle they had in stock and worked with me to schedule a test drive (even though I am over 150 miles away) obtain the best pricing including discounts, and also with financing and options. When I arrived at the dealer they were ready and I was in and out in a little over 2 hours. I would shop there again based on my experience.
Derek Bischof was excellent. His service was exceptional, as was the attention to my requests and needs, overall knowledge of the car, and all-around pleasant person. He made me feel welcome, comfortable, and relieved. As a woman, coming into a dealership always has me on edge. In the past, I have felt intimidated, uncomfortable BUT not so with Derek. He just seemed to care and he LISTENED. I would highly recommend him and when I return for a new car in a few years, I will request him to help me find the perfect car as he did this time.
Super easy purchase experience. Checked out on the car I wanted on their (good) website, and got a call from Ricky, the internet sales manager. We went in and picked it up and did all the paperwork the next day. Very straightforward. Had to wait a bit for the finance guy to finish with someone else, but otherwise a pain-free and friendly experience. Recommended!

I had a really amazing experience at Capitol Chevrolet. I was coming in to just get some good deals on car models and luckily ran into Ronaldo Garcia. He was a real gem of a person. He helped me through the entire process of Car Buying and went ahead as my advocate for various financing companies. He helped me secure a good deal and it was a real pleasure working with him and the bubble guy (Kevin).The process of buying was not that smooth due to my limited credit history but I am glad I had assistance from Ronaldo and his team to help me get my first car. It was a real pleasure and it will be my first destination next time as well.
I called to inquire about getting recall fix for my 2020 Bolt. The receptionist was certain the fix was available and an appointment could be made. I questioned this since another dealer said it wasnt ready yet. So I made the appointment. Wait time before seeing auto butler was 20 min past appointment time (even tho I had 8am first appointment). Then they called me about 30 min after dropping the car off to say the fix isnt ready. So I lost 3 hours of my life.
I had an excellent experience buying a used Bolt at Capitol Chevrolet. The car was reasonably priced, and the salesman - Sam Maldonado - was a pleasure to work with. In our initial communications via text, he was friendly and professional. When I showed up at the dealership, he had three cars matching my criteria all lined up for me to try, and he answered all my questions with expertise and good humor. Sam even delivered the car to my house, sixty miles away (which meant talking a co-worker into following him on 880 in rush hour traffic). I would recommend Capitol Chevrolet, and specifically Sam Maldonado, to anyone shopping for a car.

My Brother brought my car into the dealership on Tuesday August 3rd for the appointment on Wednesday morning August 4 at 11:00am. He called many times and nobody returned his calls after 3 days, finally he talked to someone who said that the person working on my car had a family emergency and that they did not know where he had left off working on the car. Everyday following that day he called on a daily basis, his calls were never returned, and when someone answered, they gave him the run around. . I was wondering if they had lost my car? He said he was dealing with it, because I was sick. He kept on calling and calling and on Tuesday August 17th, they called him in the morning to tell him the car was ready. The car was brought in for a replacement of a fuel pump, they fixed a few other thing while it was there. Looking at the list of items completed, and talking with some friends who are mechanics the car should have been done it max of 2 days, but it took them 2 weeks. I was very disappointed with the customer service, communication, and the whole entire experience. When he went to pick up my car, he asked to speak to the manager, but the person never came out to talk to him. I will not take my car back to this dealership, or recommend this place because of this bad experience.

Great experience purchasing a car and with service. I had a leased vehicle from an different, very difficult to deal with dealership. When the lease was up the other dealership would not assist with the return. I figured I was on my own. I went ahead and purchased a vehicle from Capitol Chevrolet and mentioned in passing my challenge with returning the leased car. My rep jumped in to help despite the car not being a Chevy or having anything to do with the DGDG group. Talk about above and beyond service!
We went to test drive the Bolt EV 22 and ended up buying one. Ronaldo Garcia was very helpful and helped explain everything. I would definitely go here again. The San Joaquin Valley is sorely missing the EV inventory unfortunately.
Ive brought my car for service to this dealership many times. I normally bring my own oil and filter for oil changes and the dealership has never charged me more than $12 for the labor. This time I was charged $57. I explained the history, but the advisor, Andrew, was dismissive and insisted that they charge $57 for labor and a full oil change is normally $150. I checked around, and other Chevrolet dealerships routinely charge $69 for the oil and filter. I am very disappointed with the service I received and will not be back.
I dropped my car and was assured by the service department everything would be fine. I left my car during repairs for a week while out of town. I paid my bill online and assumed everything was ok. When I called looking for my car to pick up one week later I was told my car was not there and they couldnt find it. My wife and myself spoke to several people who forwarded our calls to every other dealer withing your system except for where we knew the car was stating it wasnt there. After getting the run around my wife went to your dealership. Even while my wife physically saw the car in the parking lot the service department was confused. Im not sure how your system is set up but I was not pleased with the customer service at all. Yes the work done on my car was fine but the fact that i.was told my car wasnt there and for my wife to physically go to.your dealership with a receipt of payment and pointing out our car to prove its at your dealership was unacceptable.

I found a vehicle that I was interested in on their website but it didnt have any pictures because it said coming soon for almost a week. I decided to call and spoke to Ryder and asked if it was possible to see some pictures. He went above and beyond and personally sent us photos he took himself of the truck, which was still getting detailed, and we were sold on it and drove 2 hours to go get it. We got there and he had everything ready to go for us and after a little friendly negotiating we purchased our 2016 Silverado LTZ 👍. Thanks Ryder!
I got a better deal at Capitol Chevrolet dealer. My car was kept ready with fully charged as I had to drive 160 miles to my home after taking delivery.However, when I had a question after signing the lease to clarify few question son the lease agreement, no one revert back to me. Finance manager was supposed to call me back as per Sales agent but havent received a call since last 3 days.
Stephen was very efficient and helpful through our car buying process. Very peraonable and willing to help us in any way he could. We live 2 and half hours away from the location, we had seen the car we wanted online and even with making the trip it was well worth the drive. He was even able to have it delivered to our home, which is great because I felt anxious to drive it personally. Definitely have my best recommendation 🙂
Leased a 2022 Bolt EUV with Ricky Robello and had a great experience. He was respectful, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. I really appreciate he and others not being pushy to close the deal and but working to be efficient. Leased a Chevy Equinix in August for my daughter who is a Full time student. She finds time to volunteer 4 days a week. 1 day in Saratoga and 3 days in Oakland and lives in San Jose, so she does a bit of driving. Her 2021 Chevy Equinix broke down in downtown San Jose at 9PM Saturday night on her way home from Oakland.Called Capitol Chevy on Sunday Moring 10/17/2021, they said call Monday morning, she called Monday morning at 8AM and stated the soonest they could see her car is 10/20/2021 at noon. The car has 3 error codes of P1101; P0299 & P0101.This is a brand new car with less than 2500 miles on it. They dont car about the car or the customer.
1. Long wait time (15+minutes) even after scheduled appointment and being on time2. No loaner offered or in stock3. Loaner/ Rental requested but not available at Enterprise either. Service advisor asked Enterprise to contact when car was available but never got a call from Enterprise. Reminded Service advisor 1 day later and 2 day later, no progress.4. Was without a loaner/rental car for 6 days!!5. Finally 1 week later, received a call to pick rental car. Pick up service (Lyft/ Uber) was not offered to come to pick up loaner/ rental car. Had to pay out of pocket. When enquired at the service counter, I was told to contact GM directly6. Car was not washed or vacummed or cleaned at the end of service. Rather the car gathered more dust as it was sitting on dealership service lot for about 7 days
I just wanna come here and say I am so happy with my purchase I did this past 02/15/2021 with Stephen Contreras he was very helpful and was able to get me approved for the truck I really wanted . He went out of his way and spoke to his manager about my situation I had to go through with a certain dealership in San Carlos street ..(Never Again Going there!!) Mr.William James Martinez was great in every way. I felt he was very genuine and not pushy.Pretty much toured the whole dealership with him,offered some refreshments,coffee or water.Actually listening to what I wanted,he was just pleasant to talk and negotiate with.
I originally started looking for a new car at the Stevens Creek location but found the sales team (or at least the person I was dealing with) to be lacking knowledge of the vehicles, and was extremely aggressive in trying to sell me a Traverse. As I was leaving I called over to the Capital location and spoke with Jessica. From the get go she was knowledgeable, polite, and genuinely wanting to provide me with as much information as she could. When I got to the Capital location she greeted me with a very friendly smile and showed me the vehicle immediately. She didn’t pressure me once to test drive or even ask me if I wanted to “do this” as the other sales person did at Stevens Creek. We went back and forth on prices, trade in values, etc and not once did I feel like she wasn’t advocating for me with her finance guy. She was also extremely friendly to my daughter who was becoming more and more impatient by the minute. Although it took a little longer than necessary to complete the transaction, I still left feeling like I got a deal and was taken care of.Thanks so much to Jessica and Victor for making this a truly seem-less process!
I called Capitol Chevrolet to see if they had a Silverado available I saw on the website. I talked to Stephen and he confirmed it was still available. I made an appointment to go see it and was greeted by Stephen right away when I walked into the dealership. He was very nice and knowledgeable on the details of the vehicles and made me feel at home immediately. I have had bad experiences at other dealerships with shady people trying to get me to buy what THEY wanted me to buy. Stephen was not trying to lead me to anything other than the vehicle I came to look at, and guided me through all details of the truck before I took a test drive. Once I told him I wanted to buy the truck, he went through all paperwork and questions I had very calmly and professional. I was interested in the extended warranty, but did not want the monthly payments that came with the added amount, and Stephen talked to finance, and they were able to make me a deal with a lower interest rate to get the payments I needed, plus the extended 100K warranty. I would definitely go back to Capitol Chevrolet for my next vehicle purchase, and hope Stephen is still there.

Derek was freaking awesome! Very helpful with helping us decide on what kind of car to buy based on our needs. Did not like the wait time even after scheduling an appointment.The advisor ran through service points in a hurry and I got no time to decide if I needed to get optional services to be performed or not. eventually I had to pay more as lot of redundant service was done which I did not have idea such as wheel alignment and wiper blades replacement which were not required as I never used wiper blades in last 2 yrs neither complained of wheel alignment issue.Also not sure if OnStar service is needed as I had to go through the activation and now will have to keep in mind to get it cancelled in a month else, they start charging me. In next 30 days I will be driving 4-5 days only and thus did not need OnStar at all.did not like the idea of these non relevant options being forced on me.
Our service adviser Todd did an amazing job. Our new Corvette experienced a radiator leak while we were traveling. We tried to take it to the nearest dealer, we did not feel that the service was up to par, so we towed it to Capital and Todd took care of everything and provided incredible customer service.
I would highly recommend Capitol Chevy, and highly recommend Marcos Bueno in sales.I was looking for a Chevy Colorado ZR2 in a hard to find color, and saw on the Chevy US website one was in transit to Capitol Chevy. I emailed them, and Marcos Bueno replied very quickly. He let me know right away when the truck was delivered, and we set up an appointment for right after the truck was inspected and detailed. The whole process working with Marcos was excellent. It was without a doubt the best new car buying experience I’ve had. The whole trade in and buying process was smooth, we received top dollar for our trade, and got the best price on the vehicle compared to 3 other Chevy dealers. The finance manager we worked with, Victor Paiz, was also very helpful.

Luis was very helpful and communicated with me every step of the way while I was waiting for repairs to be done on my car. Unfortunately, when I went to pick up my car, the check engine light came on before I left the lot, so Luis recommended that I leave the car and take a loaner. I explained that I would be leaving the state, he assured me car would be placed back in the shop to be checked, again. I messaged Luis a week later to check status of the car but he was out on personal/grievance leave and told me to contact service dept. I did. I spoke to an Andrew who let me know that my car had not been worked on because an order or something had not been placed for the shop to work on it....

Mike was awesome. Ive owned many cars and trucks in my life and have had them serviced all over the place. Mike is absolutely top tier when it comes to Service Advisors.
No communication with service department. Called multiple times to check on car and call was never returned. Car repair took a week to repair for a simple service. No updates on status of car. Car was serviced in May on the transmission which was under warranty. Found out the current problem was with transmission and would cost me $800 and this could have been covered by warranty in May.

No reliable communications, phone calls not returned, website doesnt work for scheduling service, staff dont text back on service calls and when I bought my car from DGDG they told me that every DGDG dealer would be available to me for support that they work together, but they do not once you buy the car all those promises do not come true. I was told by workers that sales people make promises they dont keep after spending thousands of dollars on extended warranty services that have been hard to get. Not very nice.

This review is for Ricky Robello and all of the behind the scenes staff who helped me at Capitol Chevrolet. This was my first lease at this location. My first impression was that the staff were all kind and supportive of each other. I came at opening and before Ricky helped me, he double checked to see if one of his colleagues was already in line to help me/the next customer. I had an appointment scheduled for a car diagnostic at 3pm. For them to tell me we will not be getting to your truck in 24hours from today. They never called to give me an update, I had to call and no one would answer plus I left several messages and nobody returned my call. Then Mike Cortez tells me I need a new ENGINE, that my truck overheats and whatnot, which is not true, telling me I would have to spend over 8K for something that wasnt happening to my truck. I tried complaining to the manager Jorge and he pretty much blew me off, didnt pay attention to what i was telling me, and asked me if i was done talking, because he had to attend other costumers!!! DO NOT GO THERE
Andrew in service made it very easy to have my Z71 serviced on 04/28/21. He was very professional, extremely helpful and considerate to my time. He made himself available at anytime if I had any questions or concerns.

I expected things to go a lot faster. Even though the price had been pre-negotiated, emailed all documents in advance and credit has been pulled before we even showed up, it still took four hours (including a dinner break where we left) and wrong paperwork was presented to us first time.I understand it was busy because of Costco special but there were several times when we waiting on something unknown. Our salesman was very nice though.
The entire process was stress free. Ricky, our sale person, was clear and explained everything, patient with our questions, giving us great answers. Louis, from finance, was great. He gave us great options, with no pressure, allowing us time to think and discuss amongst ourselves.The entire dealership was great with following the current health guidelines, making sure we were safe and well taken care of. I have never felt relaxed before while getting a new vehicle, but Capitol Chevrolet made it one of the best experiences ever. We will be coming back and sharing this with family and friends.
Dropped my 2018 Colorado ZR2 Diesel for a 45k mile service and a diagnosis for a ticking noise on engine. Service advisor reached out to notify me that they found the source of the ticking noise and that it was under warranty. Part for repair needed to be ordered and I was to have my truck back by end of week. End of week comes by, truck is not complete due to a technician breaking a tensioner during warranty work, that part had to now be ordered. Monday comes around, I receive a phone call from service advisor telling me that my radiator is leaking. Leak source is unknown and the technician is not able to confirm if it is a crack or puncture. Service advisor tells me that if radiator is not replaced by them, it could potentially lead to voided warranty in the future. I painfully agreed to replace radiator and save my old one for me to take home. During this process, it was difficult getting ahold of Service advisor or anyone in the service department for a status update on my truck. Friday, I happened to be in the area and dropped in to get a status update on my truck, since phone calls were not being answered, and found that it was ready. I paid ($2k+), opened the hood of my truck and there were 2 caps missing for the AC system. Opened my rear door and there was a mess from paperwork I previously had in a bag. My wheel locks for the front wheels were not installed and left in my cup holder. What was a one week service took almost a month. Truck was not washed after being told when purchase of truck that due to the high cost of my truck, it will be washed every time I take it for any type of service. I will not be returning to this Dealership for any service/purchase. I have purchased 4 vehicles there in the past 3 years.I will be performing a radiator pressure test to my old radiator to confirm leak
Are Consumers getting Ripped Off by Service Dept. practices at Capital Chevrolet (DGDG)?I went to Capitol Chev (DGDG) to have oil change, filter, tire rotation on my 2018 Chevrolet Impala on 06-15-2021. Because I have some knowledge about the basic cost for this service (about $120 or less), I was totally surprised when the Technician looked at his Pad and indicated a charge of $573. I was stunned. Apparently Cap Chev has a practice to immediately UP SELL to a Preferred service and not offer an Alternative. I finally got them to acknowledge a minimum service was available.The next day(s) I tried to bring this to the attention of Capitol Chev Customer Service dept. and to their Service Manager by several emails and phone calls over two (+) weeks. The Service Manager called me back once. He didnt address my major concern except for promising to email my 28 point Vehicle Inspection Report with 48 hours. He must of meant days not hours, as I still havent received that report.I guess that is a practice of not responding to Consumers by Capital Chev (DGDG) also.I just wonder how many people get ripped off each day by DGDG Service Depts.
Richard is professional and make the whole process very efficient. I stayed in the dealer for less than an hour to finish all the process. He just gives you whats you need and never waste your time. Of course, he also has a good price for you.

I bought a 2018 Chevy Volt - certified, pre-owned. The oil light and tire pressure lights both came on within the 2nd day of driving the car. I called the the salesperson, Richard, and was told that tire pressure sensors hardly ever work right anyways. Regarding the oil light, I was told it was done and all I need to do was reset the oil change light. So I reset the oil change light and continued driving. A week later, the car engine light came on and I wasnt able to drive it at all. Im starting to think I bought a lemon which somehow managed to skip all or most of the 172 checkpoints. Very disappointed with both the dealership and this car.

Stefan, the sales rep that assisted with my purchase, was extremely helpful. He arranged for me to test drive the vehicle I ended up purchasing, and another comparable vehicle so that I could be confident in my decision. He also gave me a ride to return my rental car, while the paperwork was being generated, saving me the cost of a ride-share. And if that wasn’t enough, the finance manager, gave me a discount on an extended warranty. The representatives at Capitol Chevrolet were patient, friendly, helpful, honest, and I highly recommend this dealership!

This is the third car Ive leased from this dealership. They always make it so easy! I appreciate that they dont work on commission because I can really tell that that they work as a team, and are just trying to sell cars in the best and most personable way they can, rather than competing against each other or making it a sleazy interaction. This time, I had Danielle Yee as my sales associate. As a female, I can honestly say I have never had a female salesperson and it was GREAT! She was super knowledgeable, excited about the car, very helpful and friendly. I had to wait some time for paperwork and she was an absolute pleasure to spend time with. Had an 8am appt and indicated when I made the appointment I would have to wait a couple hours to get my work done. Showed up at 7:55 and wasnt seen by an advisor until 8:45. After waiting all morning, my truck was rushed to me at 1:30PM. I wont be coming back or ever buying a truck from this dealership again.
BEWARE!!! I brought my 2020 chevy Silverado in for a bent pushrod (which is a design flaw) and they kept it for a month. Then when I came to pick it up and it had a check engine light (blown catalytic converter) and it was covered in sap. 3 weeks after that I come to pick it up and I can see they did a terrible job washing it( all the sap marks were visible) plus they dented my front passenger fender and tried to slip it by me till I complained. Ive been making payments on a truck for 2 months that I dont even have. One star is not low enough for the HORRIBLE job they did. If you do have a Chevy and need to take it into a Dealership go with Gilroy or Freemont anyone with a pulse can do better.
