Your service is terrible and your coffee is even worse. I only tried the cold brew but its awful. Theres literally no one in line I had to wait for 10 minutes for your cashier to even acknowledge me. Thanks for the great experience today guys youre really something special.

Empanadas are delicious but I think Milohas down the street is what I would recommend. I guess it depends on what your taste buds prefer. Otherwise I see lots of customers and pretty tempting empanadas. I ordered the Thai and gyro ones, they were okay 👌.

I ordered a chicken empanada and a steak empanada. The chicken empanada was big in size, had great taste, and was filling. Theyre definitely was more meat than crust which was a surprise for me. As for the steak empanada, the taste was not what I expected. There is green olives, raisins, and onions with the steak. In my opinion the raisins and the olives were an off-putting taste for me but that is me. Again this empanada was filled with plenty of steak and on both of the empanadas the crust was very tasty and slightly buttery. Of course I only had the two for the savory empanadas but the dessert apple cranberry was an absolute must have again. The apples were largely diced, the filling was smooth but not too sugary, and once again it was the right amount of filling for the amount of crust. I do want to go back and try some other ones because the empanadas overall were very savory and filling. Big e Cafe has the feeling of a small coffee house but surprisingly has very filling foods. Definitely going to try again!

The coffee here is great! Best cappuccino Ive had in San Jose. However, they should not call this place an Argentine Cafe. They are not real Argentine empanadas. They should call them hot pockets instead. Seriously disappointing empanadas .

I am a coffee lover, thus I am so picky about it. When I tasted their coffee here, I was so amazed for it has a good mix of flavor. The next day, I invited my friends, and I also brought my parents here. If you enjoy reading books while having a cup of coffee, and they have more interesting books here!

We come here at least once a week. Delicious ingredients stuffed into a pastry... what’s not to love. Our go to’s are the chorizo or the mushroom chicken. Finish it off with some fresh brewed light roast and that’s a good morning.

Id gladly give five stars for the great staff and service. The owner, unfortunately, has decided that being upfront about his pricing and credit card surcharge. isnt something hes willing to do. Theres lots of stuff on the wall menu, with prices listed. He then claims he gives a cash discount. Well, not really. I buy something, pay cash, but Im charged the standard price thats listed on the wall. I buy something, pay with a credit card, and Im charged extra.The owner claims the cash discount is part of the listed price and that legally he has to do it this way. ???We tend to be consistent in how we think and act. Im concerned about what other ways the owner of this business deals with his employees and customers. Would he also claim that a day off is included in a work day? That ingredients in his food products are included when they are not? I dont have any evidence that he does those things, but doing them would be right in line with claiming a discount is included in his standard pricing. Hes also got a sign that theres no public restroom, but, well guess what, he doesnt mean that either. If they like you, you may use the restroom.My complaint isnt about the money. He suggested I go to Starbucks and Ill do that from now on. Integrity and honesty are important to me. Id gladly have paid a little more if hed have raised his prices than feel like hes trying to fool his customers and doesnt have the respect for them to be upfront with them. Unfortunately, I guess this sort of thing is becoming more and more common. Lack of integrity is now included in our lives.

The Empanadas were bland and dry. Sauce packets provided proved insufficient. The coffee was not noteworthy. I dont remember smelling fresh coffee being brewed. The bathroom was occupied endlessly. (I had to go to Safeway.) Everything was missing.

The latte was the perfect temperature, and the foam was smooth and consistent. Rich espresso taste. Many vegetarian options here, I got the spinach and cheese empanada, and it was great. Texture just crisp enough on the outside and soft on the inside, mostly thin. Perfect. Spinach and cheese not salty which is good because its so common to get it that way. Very fresh tasting. Everyone was extremely friendly, lots of parking available.

Although the ambience is like a coffee and donut shop, the service is friendly and most importantly the food is terrific.Im used to disappointment with empenadas, and it usually starts with the crust. Too hard and you have a mess in your hands, too soft and you just have an expensive burrito. Too strongly flavored and the filling doesnt matter, too wimpy and it just detracts.Here the crust was excellent. It kept its shape and a little crunchiness, but didnt explode when bitten. It added flavor to the filling without overpowering it. Really excellent.And my vanilla latte was also very well done. Enough so to taste the vanilla but not so much that I tasted the syrup. And the base coffee was quiet nice, too.

Espresso based drinks are made with real baristas (not using automatic machines). Foam is always like velvet! No need for whip cream with foam like this! Empanadas are awesome! Try the Apple or the Pizza...our the Mediterranean....also, Peach is awesome when available!

This is my go to place for great coffee. Love the cappuccino and lattes. When Ive been to the Starbucks next door I am always disappointed. Starbucks lattes are like drinking warm milk, can never taste the shot they supposedly add. BigEs is the real deal if you enjoy a real coffee drink. Empanadas are great too. Pretty good selection of empanadas except every time Ive gone somethings been pretty much sold out and there was a little selection left. I think they get a good selection you have to go in the morning before everybody else except there and even thats a crapshoot either way great food would recommend.

I love Big E Cafe. It’s my neighborhood coffee shop in Cambrian Park. They make amazing empanadas and a great cappuccino. All the empanadas are tasty but my personal favorite are breakfast w/ sausage or the spinach empanadas. It’s also great option for takeout, if you want to treat your co-workers for a breakfast and my team loves when I bring them this for breakfast!

Its a nice neighborhood cafe to walk to. Some of the baristas are pretty good resulting a good cappuccino experience! Some of the sweet empanadas are too sweet but others are just perfect. Amongst the vegetarian savory empanadas the Mediterranean one is pretty good and so is the potato one.
