If you care about breakfast burritos, you should read this review.I take my breakfast burritos seriously. Some often say too seriously. Ignore those people like I do. Cafe Rosalena has the best off-the-menu breakfast burritos for at LEAST 50 miles. Im talking perfectly rolled, delicious tortillad, fluffy egged, veggie-friendly masterpieces of breakfast cuisine.I have only had them twice out of a fear that if the first delicious wrapped burrito was a fluke, then I might never again taste the glory of my first bite. My fears were unfounded. The second burrito might have even been better.Their various colored sauces are excellent. Im partial to the creamy orange, but the salsa red is nothing to scoff at.Their staff know how to handle the traffic, their drinks are fresh and delish, and all in all I cant make up a way for the location or fare to improve, even if I tried.Do yourself a favor and get ten of these for all the people you love.

Ive been twice both times for breakfast burritos. First time potatoes werent cooked thoroughly. Today this was the quality of avocado I was served. Shouldve just skipped the avocado rather than serve this.

You could probably get a single breakfast burrito from here and eat it for two days- theyre massive! Mine never last that long though... So many options, and they apparently have other things on their menu that arent breakfast burritos? Staff is lovely and sweet. On our most recent visit, we got there right after they opened and they gave us a small piece of their chocolate chip bread as a little extra something and it was like half a loaf!

The veggie breakfast burrito was great! I also got the fresh squeezed orange juice to go with it. The OJ was so good I drank it way faster than I should have and needed to get up from my table outside to get a glass of water. I was hesitant to get up from the small table outside and leave my backpack and computer unattended, but before I could even stand up one of the workers inside dropped a glass of ice water in front of me and said, “Here ya go, to get you over the finish line!” And boy did I need it, that burrito was massive. Seriously, excellent food and amazing service! Thank you!!!

The employees here are super friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely, without a doubt delicious!You need to try their fresh squeezed orange juice and their homemade horchata.I am sitting here right now miserably full because the food tasted so good I didnt want to stop eating.Our group had four different breakfast burritos and all gave two thumbs up.The salsa isnt as spicy as I feared. If you like spice, request the hotter salsa. I loved the mild salsa myself.

Flew in from PDX and grabbed the rental, while we waited for others we came to Cafe Rosalena for some breakfast burritos and OJ. My goodness the staff is amazing and the veggie burrito was excellent! They even cooked me up some side bacon since my lady partner is the veggie lover ;)Must visit this place, they were busy but turning em out quick and delicious!

Definitely NOT the best breakfast burrito in town, the county or the country. But the OJ is why they get 2 stars. And customer service makes you think you about to get the best burrito but then $75 for 3 people later was the most expensivist.

Chorizo with the orange sauce is the move here. Excellent. The bacon one is good but not at the same level as the chorizo. Fresh squeezed OJ too. Sit outside and look at a palm tree lined street with mountains in the background.

Cute sandwich shop that is very good at what it does. Been here several times and the food has been fresh and tasty every time. Nice to meet up with some locals, have a quick bite, then walk down the way for a coffee.

Outstanding! The customer service was profound, and the food was good. I got the orange juice, which was hands down the best Ive ever bought, and the chocolate chip bread which was absolutely delicious. The burritos were good, rather dry but paired with the provided salsa was very tastey.

The crab sandwich was good but I bit into splinter in the crab meat (see photo) and yes I removed the toothpick before taking a bite. I ordered a salad, sandwich, and Horchata. I picked up the bag from the counter but when I got home found the Horchata was missing and didnt want to drive back.Service was good and staffs are friendly.

I usually call 20 minutes ahead to make sure I don’t wait that long but lately they not only have gotten my order wrong but also never have my order ready and have made me wait an extra 20 minutes. Not great costumer service

I stayed in San Jose for two nights and I went to Cafe Rosalena the morning I left, and the food and coffee were superb! I got the turkey sandwich and white chocolate mocha. They also make amazing fresh squeezed orange juice.

Just visited Rosalitas for the first time today. Had a wonderful crab sandwich and my buddy had a the grilled chicken. High quality and we will be back again. Staff was also super nice!

Literally one of the best breakfast burritos around. The chorizo and egg burrito is made with great chorizo (not gristley at all), and the sausage and bacon burritos are stuffed full of scrambled eggs, meat and cheese -- and they dont skimp on the avocado. Their orange sauce famous for a reason, as is the outdoor summer vibe!

The sauce is the reason to go in the first place. We got the green and orange sauce. It was so good we saved it for dinner later. We got breakfast burritos and they were so big and delicious. Really my only complaint is that I didnt get more sauce when I went.

My four stars are because I liked my breakfast burrito the place seemed clean and the price was reasonable decent wait ...dont be in a rush it takes a little bit but I was happy catching up with a friend and we were killing time on clock 😂

Breakfast burrito was excellent! Place had a lot to live up to with signs saying worlds best breakfast burritos! I ordered a combo one w/ sausage & bacon. What I regret is not ordering the fresh squeezed OJ they make on site every morning. Was a little meh about paying $5 for it and then not liking it. The owner later on came around passing out free samples and for good reason bc when Im back in the area Ill be getting one next time hahah. Smart move!

Terrible customer service, this was my first time here and I have no idea why this eatery is rated highly. The food is mediocre, long wait, and woman at the counter has an awful attitude right off the bat. I watched her be the same way with numerous customers, unprovoked.I ordered the quiche which was pulled out of the cooler and then microwaved for far too long after they forgot about my order. It had a rubber texture and tasted like grease, worst quiche Ive ever put in my mouth. I instead shared a friends meal. Their burrito was at least made in the spot but was poorly compiled. The wrapping paper was carelessly wrapped up into the middle of the burrito.Astonishingly undeserving of your money.

It is originally 14.95. you add avocado and its $17 they turn the little register around and ask for a 15% tip then it becomes $18.10.. still not what I would like to pay for a salad.. its... A SALAD.. Changing to 3 stars

Unreasonble wait time. Ordered, then sat and watched 5 others after me get their food. When asked about my order, they said two more minutes on a sandwich. The picture is the sandwich we had waited two minutes on. I expect better service from an establishment that has this many stars.

Worst experience ever. First they gave my husband a hard time when picking up my order because I was not there with him (Im pregnant and didnt want to get out of the car). 2nd, they charged him an extra $1.50 to slice a burrito in half. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?! 3rd, he sat patiently waiting and as they let 2-3 other people who showed up after him cut to order and yet still gave him a hard tome. I will not be coming back and i will ensure that no one is recommended to this cafe. You left a terrible taste in my mouth, my mind, and my heart. Terrible customer service 😡

Was not as good as I thought it would be. Gave me bad gas and heart burn. The blond lady working didnt have a mask on and her daughter was running around the restaurant with no mask on aswell. Her husband seemed like a you know what. Idk if they are the owners or what. But if not. The owner needs to put her in her place. Advice the blond employee of her husband giving customers dirty looks.

Went there for the first time and I think I like it much better than crema, which I usually go go to. The decor was much nicer, the outdoor seating a lot more comfy and I had an awesome quiche.

Their breakfast burritos are amazing - Ive had many breakfast burritos throughout California and these are the best Ive had. Its all about the potatoes - they are very fresh. Ive also had their chicken alameda which is great as well. Prices are great, $8 - $10 for most items. Staff is friendly and its a nice cafe! Definitely recommended.
