I picked up U-Haul at this location twice and both the times I had to wait for more than 1 hour even after checking in online. The place was not even crowded. Just that the staff here are extremely slow.

If you need a 5 gallon propane tank refilled, don’t go here. They do not have the equipment (nozzle) to refill those tanks. I’ve been going here for years, but no more.

Poor poor poor experience. The national online service rep dialed in the order for a hitch and harness, set up the appointment, and confirmed. All was sent to this location but upon arrival the wiring harness was not found by the technician, the hitch was installed at the wrong torque specs, and the technician didnt understand how a 7 pin connection was wired. Plus I was told it wouldnt be done in the 3 hour time window. I left with only the hitch installed (at the wrong torque specs which I checked when I got home) and went to the dealer to get it done right. Another hitch customer told me while I was there that they too had a hitch installed improperly and nearly lost their load on the road. Do not trust this shop.

$3.89 per gallon of propane. Glad I can get it filled for approximately 25% less than a swap and from what I heard from some people you get more propane from a refill than you would for a swap.

Horrible experience, I needed a wiring harness added to my van. I purchased and scheduled the install time. After 1 week of waiting (Not bad), 30 minutes before my appointment I found out that the primary part needed to complete the install was discontinued and I was asked to purchase it myself. (minor irritation still) After purchasing and setting up a new appointment I arrived early and went to check in. Only to find out that the employee needed to check the wiring harness that they told me to purchase, after 5 minutes of taking inventory on the contents (too long) Im told that there is no one there to preform this installation.Dont waste your time at this location, they are useless, why allow someone to set up an appointment if they cannot install the item they asked you to buy and then reschedule you to install. NEVER again will I use this facility.

I saw many negative reviews and was worried, but I had no issues with my reservation. There was no other people at the store at 7:30am when I picked it up and they had all the extras that I ordered. The drop off process was easy and straightforward, and again there was no wait.

The worst customer experience. They don’t follow their own policies. I was transferred to 4 different representatives and told you drive to Santa Cruz to pick up equipment. They are not a customer service oriented company. Take your business else where. Olivia, Sharise and Amber just transferred without actually helping me.

I rented a 10-foot truck to move from San Jose to Burbank, California, and paid $520 for mileage and equipment. After returning the vehicle in 35 hours when I had total of 96 hours to keep it. The guy reversed the fuel credit that they gave me in San Jose location for no reason I knew of because I returned it at the exact level I picked up. They left me with the impression that they were doing to help, but when in fact, they charge me three times the price of the fuel at the end when I cant go in to pick up the truck to refuel it and return to them. I couldve pumped gas myself at a fraction of the price. Im familiar with these industries the deception not so much. The customer service gal Mackenzie argued for 15 minutes the contract said the truth, not the guy who handed the truck in San Jose. I let them take the money anyway, but there is a story to be heard for others to avoid this unsatisfying and disappointing story. Why did they bother giving a fuel credit in the first place anyway, so they take it away?

Booked a truck for mobile pickup. They didn’t have the truck ready, nor did they put the dollys or furniture pads in the truck, and the truck was also out of gas even though there was substantial supply of other trucks. So went inside only 1 employee wearing a mask. I also ordered a TV box, mattress bag, and other items 4 days in advance. All of which were in stock and marked ready for pickup. They sold and gave away the items I had already ordered and paid for, then had no more in stock. I also had to wait for them to “sanitize” the used furniture pads by them laying them out on the dirty floor then spritzing them with some liquid(but again done on the dirty floor).

Overall this place is really good. The sales associates are friendly and know what theyre doing, the trucks Ive rented are in good shape and are available when I arrive, and they have all the moving supplies you could need in stock. I removed one star for one reason - they need more staff on the weekend. If youre picking up your truck on Saturday or Sunday give yourself an extra 20 minutes to wait in line.

Only 1 guy working. Been helping same customer for 20min. Finally got a chance to ask about propane. He says hes not qualified. Joke. Go anywhere else. Bad service everytime. Wont come back.

Convenient location and good equipment, but extremely under-staffed. Ive been here 4 times in the last month snd every time Ive had to wait over 20 minutes to get help. The team are clearly working very hard; there just isnt enough of them. The service has been very good and I havent had any issues once Ive been helped, so the team seems very well trained and good at their work. Hopefully, they will get some additional help during their peak hours.

I had a great experience here. Everything went smooth with my truck rental. I didn’t wait long for to get my truck. The return process was convenient too because a staff member was outside to process the return.

The guy was who helped us was friendly and professional however what should have been 5 mins turned into a 75 min wait due to no explanation. One of the employees bailed on a customer to use the bathroom. The employee was gone for 20 mins before another employee came to assist. It wasnt a smooth experience

We just bought moving supplies. The boxes are great. The moving kit with tape to identify which room the box goes to is a pain. The tape is cheap and hard to use. Even worse the clear packing tape on the expensive dispenser is awful. There is a definite design flaw and the tape constantly sticks to the tongue beneath the black roller causing it to jam. Using this tool is an act of frustration. The cheaper plastic dispenser works fine.

They did a great job regards to loading and unloading the materials. They were very excellent with the care they put into packing up things and the speed to make everything set. They provided excellent services with higher standards. Thank you for all your help. It was great to work with you!

They make the move a very pleasant one for their clients. Good job! There is no such great moving experience with them. These guys are all polite and willing to help. I have never met moving crews who are very dedicated to their work as well as to their customer.

They went the extra mile to put my wheelchair in truck, so I could be mobile during my move.Painless rental, and easy return. Kind and courteous people. Lost one star for failure to fully explain that my rental had no dolly or ramp. That was extra.

Ive only used them for propane refills. If there is no one in line, then it is fast and efficient. A standard bbq tank runs about $20 to refill. They put in about 18 pounds. However, if there is a line, forget it. They are about as efficient as the DMV (or even less so). When people rent, 1 person handles the whole transaction, from pulling up the truck in the computer, to running out and checking the truck, then coming back for something, then going back out for something... So customers are left standing in line with no one to help them. It needs to be streamlined. There were 3 transactions in front of my and I was in line for over a half hour. Once it was my turn, it was fast though, and I could pay outside with my credit card. Ill look for other places to refill.

You couldnt ask for a better service. All I can say is they are awesome! From packing to unpacking these guys know how to do it, The guys were professional, on time and efficient. The move went out perfectly and was finished quickly.

For starters, they NEVER pick up their phone! Every single time I called, it was always routed to the 800 number, who of course, couldnt help me, because I needed to know, for instance, whether the hitch installation on my car was complete, or things related to that particular store.They are also incredibly unorganized and rude. When I dropped off my car for the hitch install, they tried to charge me, despite the fact that I had paid online and argued with me before finally checking that yes, I had paid in advance.The icing on the cake was when they tried to rent me a trailer in such bad condition, I wouldnt take it around the block, much less use it to move across the country as I planned. The inside of the tires was completely bald and smooth; no tread whatsoever. There was rust around the axle, even the tongue looked pretty bad. The guy working tried to convince me that while the trailer looked old, Uhaul serviced all of the important parts. When I pointed out the SAFETY HAZARDS, he told me the trailer had been dropped off the night before and that maybe nobody had inspected it. Of course, by this time, all the other trailers in the Bay had been rented for the weekend, and I was forced to drive to SF to get a safe one.

Arrived 1 hour after my reservation time and the trailer I rented was not available. No one bothered to alert me ahead of time. Spent 30 minutes waiting to see if they could find another one. No Luck. Was told it would be coming in soon and they would call back. Arrived at 4:30 to pick up the trailer and the reservation system was down and had to wait another 45 minutes for them to do a manual contract. Now Im 4 hours behind schedule because of them and they have the nerve to call me at 7:30 PM in the middle of my move and want me to spend another 30 minutes doing a contract over the phone now that their system is back on-line.

Only one employee was present, he had a broken arm so was not able to assist. The other employee was expected in a few hours. I had to drive to another location.

Exceptionally helpful staff. Stayed way after closing to help with and make sure everything was working and properly connected with the trailer I had rented. Thank you.

Thank you to these guys for an outstanding moving experience. They were courteous and respectful. The team was on time, they even came earlier. They even quote you an honest rate, they provided top service, and took good care of my furniture and other huge items.

6 people waiting in line Ive only been here 25 minutes and the line has not moved because its only 1 person taking care of orders and returns. Its frustrating because I drove from Los anges to here 530 hrs to come and wait to return the uhaul. Poor sense of urgency. No sense of customer service. I dont recommend this location at all.

Dont ever use this U-Haul! Use one of the other ones in the area. I had a truck reservation for my business yesterday and I called this store to inquire as to whether I could rent it with cash or a credit card. They said I could use cash, so I came all the way from Santa Cruz and when I went to rent the truck they said they dont take cash all of a sudden. Of course, I hadnt brought my credit card with me. Javier, the clerk who works here is essentially worthless. Called U-haul to complain as the corporate office said they are required to accept cash - they gave me a $50 credit for my troubles. I go back with the credit card, Javier gets me a truck which has no gas - the low gas light was on. He also forgot to put the dolly and the blankets in the back. Went back to pick up blankets and the dolly and now there are six people in line and it takes Javier about 30 minutes to handle each one. Unbelievable! Do not waste your time.

Every time I go there to get my propane tank filled, its Sorry man. Somethings broken. If there is something broken or leaking on your potentially explosive propane delivery systems, Im thinking for safety reasons, you should empty it and put a sign up. Im fairly confident that nothing is wrong and they just dont want to spend the time to fill the tank. They suck.

U-halls are generally available at any point of.time and thats the best part. We dont have to worry much about the availability

No public restroom? Im not the public, I am a customer! That was my credit card you just charged! So much money we have spent to improve business up and down The Alameda. No restroom while Im running quick errands at lunch? Not again! Ill keep my tax $ you can keep the junkies and winos pissing on trees.

They were so professional, both over the phone and in person. The personnel were knowledgeable about the scope of their job. All of my items arrived without damage. They are equipped and ready to complete jobs quickly.

This place is absolutely terrible. The truck they rented to me had been siphoned the night before so I had to go directly to the gas station. The brakes were bad and it buzzed the entire time, the power steering was also out. Called and left multiple voicemails for the GM and never heard a response. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

This moving company helped me a great deal with my move last week. This is a great company. They did a great job from beginning to end and were clear at all times, particularly as to cost.

I cant ask for anything else with their service, their rates are very competitive and the service is flawless. The movers were very professional and highly skilled, they were so effective in this kind of field and I will always remember that.

All I wanted was to know your LP price. You dont have it on the website. You dont have it on your Yelp profile. When I calked, you put me on hold forever. You have all the technology, you just dont bother to use it.

No way to get in touch, not answering phone during working hours. Not able to hold a reservation so even if you call and get a confirmation it’s not a guarantee to have your truck waiting for you.

I am not sure about the rating of this store, this is my story there, I rent a 10 ‘ truck for almost 2hrs to move my room and maximum i drove for 15 miles, they told me for each gallon we will charge you $5 when i back to store they said $5 + $30 for services so i took it and filled the tank when i back they told me you drove 47 miles, who can drive 47 miles and load and unload a truck in 2hrs, if it is not fraud what can i call it, 100% I will call their center.

They are so attentive in following my instructions, the movers especially their team leader were very complaisant of the given task, they are sufficient and hardworking as well. They know exactly what to do.

I went here to fill up a propane tank.I was done in literally less than 2 mins.Excellent service.

It was awful, very very bad experience, we came to rent a truck, We had reservation. When we got there we asked to use bathroom, the agent Michael refused us to use the bath, they talk very bad to the customers, he selects people by race. I dont recommend someone to this place.
