Some of the best customer service I’ve experienced in a very long time. Matthew, from the very beginning helped us so much. He was very knowledgeable and resourceful. A great example of how customer service should be across the board. Thank you Matthew for making our shopping experience a memorable one. Outside of being a small display area it was good. Friendly and helpful associate. Not overbearing like most furniture stores. Great selection and great prices.

Poor service!I paid just under $1200 for a queen sized futon, with a cover, to be delivered to my home.The guys that installed the futon did a good job, but the company provided a cover for a much smaller bed.There was never a mention of a delivery charge, and theres no mention of one on the receipt, but I had to pay $130 for the delivery, after it was delivered...Scam...

BUYER BEWARE: These beds can be extremely toxic. Weve bought two from them, the first one was just fine. Used it on carpet, hardwood, its wonderful. Still have it, still love it. The second bed we bought put me in the hospital. Less than a month after using it, I started getting sick. We thought our apartment had mold. Turns out it was the bed. Also turns out this is a common problem. Calling up the store, they told me other customers have also experienced this, and that its just something that happens if used on carpets. (Despite our other bed being just fine for months on carpet?? Ive also had zero issues with regular mattresses on carpets--for years!) There was no empathy for our situation, just blame placed on us. Apparently they always tell their customers about this issue, but they never once told us. Not either time we bought either bed. The bed is worthless now, I cant return it, cant donate it, and its brand new. Will not shop here again. Im not risking our health on a 50% chance.Edit: Update, I looked up this company on Better Business Bureau and this is an actual issue. They use the chemical Sodium Borate, which has caused other people to be sick as well. This is dangerous and should be made apparent to ALL customers.Edit 2, responding to owner comment: Our first futon of the same style worked perfectly fine in the exact same conditions for months. This second one did not. I added a waterproof allergy cover after I got sick from the second, and it still made me sick. There is no smell, no noticeable mold of any kind. Other people are getting sick. We were never informed about any of these potential issues. This is not a lack of understanding on my part, but an act of negligence on yours.

The salesperson was more than helpful.got a great deal on a futon mattress and a cover.literally half off of a $1,200 purchase for great quality.

Ordered a futon months ago, never sent full order and customer support is useless, they just say it will come soon, but never even ask for order number. Do not waste your money here.

Futons are wonderful and a much needed alternative in the west to traditional mattresses, but QUALITY is CRITICAL. I found these guys to be PUSHY, UNSAVORY, DISHONEST. If you are considering a futon purchase, congratulations--you may be in for a pleasant surprise, but please note that poorly-made futons can lead to manifold SERIOUS HEALTH PROBLEMS. Do yourself a favor and find an honest, quality manufacturer/distributor and AVOID THIS PLACE.

Very amazing experience with them. Scott helped find the right mattress for me. The delivery was on-time and Matthew helped us set it up in our home. We bought two mattresses - Serenity Plus topper and Eco Pure Wool Mattress. These are amazing mattresses - no smell and pure delight to sleep on. It helped me get rid of a 5 year old chronic shoulder pain within months. I highly recommend Futon Shop for anyone looking to buy a mattress.

Nice folks. But my 5 inch organic futon is hard and lumpy. Ive had it maybe 6 months and I am looking for a new mattress now.

Absolutely awesome store! It doesnt matter how good your product is, your only as successful as your Team. Leisa is awesome and we could tell from the moment we walked in the store that she loves what she does. She was patient with us as we sat on a dozen chairs. We just picked up our chaise lounge and am sure that were going to love it!

I met Lesia on my first visit to The Futon Shop, and she was very helpful. I knew that I wanted to buy a smaller futon that would fit in my dance studio in my house, so finding the perfect one was no problem at all. Lesia then informed me that I could pick out any style of cushion and fabric, and even took the time to show me a variety of different ones. Once I selected the cushion and fabric, I then zeroed in on the choices of pillows. I chose the one I wanted, with the fabric that would complement the cushion fabric (along with the color scheme in my dance studio). Im so excited about getting my new futon - it will look fantastic in the room! Lesia did a great job making sure that I left the store with exactly what I wanted. So glad I found The Futon Shop in San Marcos!!!
